Broken, but Still Standing (epilogue)

Previous Chapter

Derpy and I found Scootaloo and headed home after that. It's funny, how lives change so much by meeting others. If I never met that mare of gray in that night club so long ago, I'd never have found my love. Life would have been so different for the three of us.

Since then, we've raised Scootaloo as our own, and it feels my heart with pride and joy to hear her call us mom. Rainbow took a liking to her, and thus became Ante Dashie. Cute huh? It was really sad that we had to leave Sweetie Belle with Rarity, but after a few years, once Rarity dismantled her father's regime, she moved to Ponyville. Turns out, Celestia, shortly after, sent on of her stare pupils here to learn how to make friends. Twilight Sparkle. She's petty cool.

It's crazy how it all worked out, though neither Sweetie nor Scoots knows the truth about their real parents, but those are conversations for another day.

Heh, as they grew up, they became good friends with each other, and also with another filly from Sweet Apple Acres, Applebloom. The three made this little club, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, or something like this. It's sweet.

I've also been teaching my girl how to drop the bass. Yeah, as good as I am with the viola, I went back to djing. Just just say, too many sad memories that accompany the stringed interment.

Life is good, and uncomplicated. It's not perfect by far, but it's a good life. The life you never get, and wish you had. In many ways, we're all still broken. Yup, broke in a lot of way, but we're still standing, and that's what counts.
