Bad Company
The Whole Squad Part One (Fluttershy)
Previous ChapterRyan had gotten less than three hours of sleep that night, but he were unwilling to go back to sleep. Jonny had gone back to his room and fallen asleep, but Ryan on the side of Twilight's bed while she slept. He still had the thought of almost burning to death in his mind.
The thing that bothered him most was that Jonny had the exact opposite thing happening to him. Ryan wondered if there was some sort of connection. Fuck, who am I kidding, of course they're connected, Ryan scolded himself in his mind.
When morning came, Twilight opened her eyes and saw a figure on her bed. Her eyes shot open and she jumped away from the figure out of bed and would have fallen on the floor if the something hadn't caught her on the other side of the bed. She writhed in whatever was holding her. She noticed that the figure that was once on her bed was gone a cloud of smoke in its wake. Her captor set her on the floor. She turned to see it was Ryan, who was currently looking at his hands, eyes wide.
"What just happened?" Twilight asked Ryan, breaking him out of his trance.
Ryan looked at her, eyes still wide, "I don't know, one second I was sitting on your bed, I saw you wake up and you jumped out of your bed, then I was over here, holding you."
"It's called teleportation, can't anypony do it on your planet?"
"No, magic doesn't exist where we come from, neither do humans with wings. The only things with wings on our planet are birds."
Twilight pondered for a moment. An idea started forming in her head and she walked out of the room.
"Well, that was weird," Ryan said under his breath.
Ryan turned to walk out of the room, when he reached the door he turned and looked at the side of the bed he had been sitting on. He shook his head and walked out of the room.
Ryan walked into the throne room, where he found Jonny sitting on Fluttershy's chair.
"Hey, did you see where Twilight went?" Ryan whispered to Jonny.
"Yeah, she went down that hall there," Jonny replied, also whispering. "Why are we whispering?"
"I was thinking we got out of this castle, meet some more of the ponies around town."
"Good plan, I don't know how long I could stay here, I want to learn to use these things, too," Jonny agreed, raising his wings, Which were coming out of the holes cut in his shirt.
Jonny stood from the seat and followed through a nearby hallway. They soon came across an uncovered window. Ryan looked around the hallway and saw it was void of guards and castle staff. He suddenly turned and jumped through the window.
Ryan waited on the ground for Jonny. When Jonny landed on his back next to Ryan, Ryan looked back up at the window and saw a few feathers floating down. Ryan helped Jonny off the ground and turned him to check his wings. He ran his hand down Jonny's wings. As well as straighten a few feathers and pull a few out.
"What was that all about?" Jonny asked Ryan when he was done.
"You pulled out a few feathers falling out the window, I was evening out your wings and straightening feathers," Ryan said, looking at his own wings.
"How did you learn how to preen?"
"I stayed up all night, might as well do something productive."
"Huh, you'll have to show me how to do it."
"Fine, let's go," Ryan said, setting off towards Fluttershy's cottage.

Ryan and Jonny spent 10 minutes trying to keep out of sight as they progressed to the cottage, using dark alleys and foliage to mask themselves from view. When they finally arrived at Fluttershy's cottage, Ryan said to Jonny, " Be careful, don't speak to loudly at first, and try to look less like a douchebag."
"Hey I'm not a douchebag!" Jonny said harshly.
"You expect her to know that?"
"Oh, how I dislike you."
"No you don't, your life would be boring without me," Ryan said with a smug grin.
"Damn, I hate it when you're right."
"Which is why you're always grumpy."
"Eat a dick," Jonny grunted.
"I would but that's your mother's job," Ryan said, lifting his hand to knock on the door. He stopped when he heard something fumbling and clicking behind the door. He stepped slightly to the left, away from the door.
Jonny looked at Ryan with a confused look when the bottom half of the door slammed into him. His legs went limp and he loosely flipped over the door, landing on his back.
"Eep, oh I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were right there," she looked down at Jonny and didn't know what he was. "What are you... if you don't mind my asking."
She jumped when she heard something crack up laughing behind her. She whipped around to see another one of the unfamiliar beings curled up on the ground. When Ryan recovered enough to speak he looked at Jonny, who was still on the ground writhing in pain. "You just got your ass kicked by the kindest and most gentle pony in the entire world," he said wiping tears from his eyes.
"Bite me," Jonny grunted, standing up. He looked at Fluttershy and said, "We're humans, long story."
Ryan fully recovered and said to the mare, "My name is Ryan and this is Jonny," gesturing to the other human.
"We just wanted to come by and introduce ourselves, we're staying at the castle with Twilight," Jonny said.
"We wanted to ask you if you could teach us how to fly as well," Ryan said, spreading his wings.
"Me? But I cam barely fly myself," she asked, confused.
"Still more than we can do, and you live at the edge of town, keeping us away from other ponies until Twilight does her thing," Ryan said.
"Oh, okay. I guess I can teach you something." she agreed reluctantly, and they walked into the cottage.
