Awoken
When Ryan woke up, he found himself in a clean white room with a curtain to his right he sighed and muttered, “Been here not even an hour and I feel like I’m in a shitty fan fiction.”
He sat in silence for a few moments until he heard a familiar voice next to him saying “Ah god what happened?”
“Yo ,Jon, is that you?”
“Yeah man. God my back hurts.”
“Mine too, dude. Ugh, how long do we have to stay here?”
His question was quickly answered as Nurse Redheart walked in and said, “Oh good, you’re awake.”
Ryan stretched his arms above his head as he asked, “Yeah, we’re awake, but how long do we have to stay here?”
“Not too much longer, about 20 minutes before you’re ready to check out and be on your way,” she explained in her soothing voice.
“How long have we been out?” Jon asked.
“About three days, but I’ll say, your wounds healed quite quickly. Well actually I wouldn’t know being as were two different species, but still, quite impressive.”
“No, no, you’re right. That's exponentially faster than anyone in our species, especially considering the wounds we received,” Ryan agreed.
“Well I’ll leave you two alone for a bit, see you in about twenty minutes.”
After she left, Ryan and Jon sat in silence for a while until a doctor came to change their bandages, he walked over to Ryan asking him to stand so he could remove the old bandages. When Ryan stood up he noticed a strange tightness across his back.
“Are you alright?” the doctor asked. ”Feel anything strange?”
"Actually, my back is very tense, what's up with that?" Ryan asked the doctor.
"Oh yes, that. Princess Twilight was also worried about that."
"What was she worried about?" Jonny asked from the other side of the curtain.
"Well, when Princess Celestia turned her into an alicorn, she had to grow a new muscle group to be able to use her wings, but she used magic to grow the wings, instead of a blade."
"Makes sens- wait, wings?"
"Yes, Princess Twilight said it was a very odd thing to see," the doctor brushed off the question, finishing up Ryan bandages.
When he moved over to Jonny's side of the room, he opened the curtain and Jonny got a look at Ryan's wings. They were black with a few red and white feathers. "Whoa, those are cool as fuck," Jonny said, awestruck.
The doctor told him to stand, giving Ryan a view of Jonny's wings. They were white with blue and black feathers. "As are yours," Ryan said, equally amazed.
The doctor finished up Jonny's bandages and said, "Well, you stallions are free to check out, but don't forget to ask Nurse Redheart at the front desk for a few extra bandages. You'll need to change your wraps a few times over the next two days, judging by the rate you two are healing at."
"Alright, doc," Ryan said to the pony doctor.
Ryan and Jonny walked out of the room into an equally clean smelling hallway. As the walked to the waiting room, where the doctor had said Twilight and Applejack were waiting, they took a few moments to address the fact that everything in this world. "I'm gonna go with lowered gravity field." Ryan said to Jonny.
"Okay, makes sense, what would cause that?"
"Equestria could be smaller than Earth, giving it less mass, which in turn giving it lower gravity," Ryan said thoughtfully.
"Good point. let's just leave it at that so you don't have a brain aneurism."
"Fine, don't want to overload that little brain of yours with information."
"Fuck you, douchebag," Jonny muttered to Ryan.
"I would, but your mother beat you to it."
They arrived in the waiting room, where Twilight and Applejack were waiting. They jumped up and pushed the two back into the hallway.
"We can't let any of the ponies see you, at least until we warn them about you," Twilight explained to the two.
"Okay, so how are we going to get out of here?" Ryan asked Twilight.
"I'll just teleport you out of here"
"Alright but you need to stay here, Applejack. We need you to get bandages from Redheart," Jonny said to the blonde mare. Then they disappeared.
"Fine, but y'all owe me one," Applejack said to the empty air.

Ryan and Jonny appeared in Twilight's castle. "Huh, I thought that would feel different," Ryan mused.
"How were you expecting it to feel?" Jonny asked.
"I don't know, but I wasn't expecting that complete lack of feeling."
"Well, you two can make yourselves at home, you might be here for a while," Twilight told Ryan and Jonny. "Though I have to tell spike about you being here."
Ryan and Jonny looked around the room they were in. "Well here we are," Jonny said, looking at Ryan.
"Yeah, I thought I would be freaking out a bit."
"Me too, but it's not nearly as crazy as I thought it would be."
"Yeah, but the wings are cool as shit," Ryan said, raising his new appendages.
"Fuck yeah, they are!"
"Is that them?" they heard a familiar voice from down the hallway Twilight had walked down.
"Yes," they heard Twilight answer.
As Twilight entered the room with Spike, the dragons eyes widened, "Whoa, they look a lot like teenage dragons, just without scales," he said and walked around the humans, "Or tails for that matter."
"We usually don't have wings either, but what can you do," Ryan said to the baby dragon, shrugging his shoulders.
"Oh, where are my manners, my name is Spike," the purple dragon said, bowing.
"We know who you are," Ryan said before turning to Twilight. "Did Applejack tell you what I explained to her, about our world?"
"Yes, she did, and I found the tale quite interesting," Twilight said studying the human. "I'll need to tell the other Princesses. Spike I need you to write a letter for me."
"Well, you guys do that, I'm going to look around," Jonny said, walking down a random corridor.
Ryan turned to Twilight and asked, "Do you have a library in this castle?"
Twilight nodded to a room behind him, and started telling Spike what to write, "Dear Princess Celestia..."
As Ryan walked to the library, her voice got fainter until he lost track of her words. When he arrived in the library, he moved about the shelves until he had a good stack of books. He sat down on the floor with the books and started reading. He didn't know how much time had passed until Twilight walked in and noticed he had finished four books.
"Wow, you read fast, compared to most ponies." She said, using her telekinesis to pick up the books he had already finished. "You almost read as fast as I do."
Ryan gave her a smirk and held up two books she hadn't noticed. "Almost, huh?" he asked tossing the books next to her fore-hooves.
"Devious little snake you are, aren't you"
"Yep," he said, standing. "Did you have some news, or are you just here to insult my intelligence?"
"Both," she joked, "The princesses have asked me to bring you to Canterlot when your wounds heal."
"So I guess we're leaving in two days,"
"Wait, so soon?" she asked, flabbergasted.
"Yeah, take a look," Ryan turned and lifted his shirt and adjusted the bandages so she could see the almost completely healed gashes.
"How did you heal that fast without magic?" she asked, even more astounded.
"I honestly have no idea, I was wondering the same thing," he said, turning back to face her.
"Well, we'll have to find out later, but for now I need to show you to where you'll be staying for the next few days," she said, turning and walking out of the library.
Ryan followed the lavender mare through a few halls, and they arrived at a large door. For a pony, at least. Ryan's head only had about an inch of clearance under the door. In the room there was a huge bed, even for him. Twilight's crown was next to the bed.
Ryan turned to her and said, "Oh, no. I can't take your bed from you."
"It's the only bed in the castle big enough to hold you," she said reassuringly.
"No, I refuse to be a burden, I'll sleep on the floor," he said finding a clear space on the floor and flopping down on his back.
"Are you sure, because I'm fine with you taking the bed."
"No, I won't take your bed," he said stubbornly.
Twilight realized that there was no changing his mind. "Fine. Good night, Ryan," she said, cantering over to the bed and climbing in.
"Good night, your highness." he muttered sarcastically.
A comforting warmth fell over Ryan's body and he fell asleep.
Ryan opened his eyes. He was on a mountain back on Earth during a warm summer day. Ah, he thought to himself, I love the mountains.
He looked around at the trees and rivers in the distance. He started to walk towards a nearby lake, his journey was cut short by a burning tree fell in front of him. He turned to run from the flames, just to find he was no longer in the mountains, but in a fiery hell-scape. It started getting hotter, until he was writhing in pain from the heat. He looked at his arms, which were beginning to blister. He screamed in pure agony and fell to the ground.
Outside of the dreamworld, Twilight had awoken to guttural screams coming from the sleeping human on the floor. She jumped out of the bed to see if she could wake him up. When she went to his position on the floor, she faintly saw scorch marks on his clothing, she went to shake him with her hoof. She jumped back when she touched him, and he was extremely hot to the touch. "That's not good," she said.
She ran out of the room, and almost ran Jonny over.
"Oh, thank goodness, I need your help," she said, looking up at his face.
"A-a-actually, t-t-that's why I-I'm h-h-here," he said, shivering violently.
Twilight looked closely at his face, and noticed his lips were blue, and every time he took a breath, a small trail of steam escaped his mouth.
An idea came into Twilight's head. "Come with me," she said, bolting back into the room.
Jonny followed Twilight into her room, still shivering. He walked over to where she was sitting on the floor next to Ryan. "I need you to cool him down," she explained her idea to Jonny. "Just touching him should do the trick for both of you."
Jonny reached his hand out and touched Ryan's arm. Warmth spread out over his body, and his hypothermia vanished.
In the dream-scape, everything cooled down and the mountain reappeared. Ryan stood up and looked around the mountain. "What the he-" He stopped when he saw Luna on the mountain.
Ryan bowed and Luna said, "There is no need for that. I was worried when I sensed such a horrible dream and I had to come and put a stop to it," she said in a soothing tone.
"I apologize, it is just an honor to meet you." he said looking back up at the navy blue alicorn. "So you are the one who ended this terrible dream?"
"No, it was Twilight and the frozen creature that ended this nightmare."
"Frozen creature?" he asked. "Never mind, I don't care about that now, but thank you for your concern, princess."
"You are welcome, and I am looking forward to meeting you in the flesh."
"As am I, goodbye princess."
"Farewell."
Ryan's vision faded and he opened his eyes, back in the castle.
"Oh, thank goddess, you're awake," Twilight breathed a sigh of relief.
"No, you're the reason I'm awake, as well no longer in pain. Luna said something about an ice creature, what's that about?"
"Oh, that might have been me," Jonny said from Ryan's other side.
"This is just getting weird," Ryan said to himself before standing and walking out of the room.
