Let me just say... this Castle is seriously huge! I didn't realize that the resident Princess (I'm sure every part of Equestria had a resident Princess. Canterlot had Celestia and Luna, The Crystal Empire had the Princess Mi Amore... something. I think her name is Cadence or Can Dance for short. I will never really learn her name, huh? Back to the topic on hand, I must say, that the castle is certainly larger than I thought. For a moment, I thought I was special, until I realized that the Princess invites the people of Ponyville. Thanks for making me feel real special, Twilight. As she leads me around the castle, I start to wonder whether she just lives in this place alone. Her baby dragon, Scale, aside. Why don't her friends live- eh, I don't see that happening. Oh well. I'd better get on with this 'tour', eh? Maybe Twilight can teach me some magic? That'd be amazing! I've been looking forward to learning more magic. Maybe more magic than she knows!

"So, what did you think of the Castle?" Twilight asked, her friends all looking at me too. It was quite weird, with her friends sidelining me in a way, looking at me with... intense stares?

"I thought it was amazing! But I have to ask a question of you, first. A very important one, if I may?" I asked her, hoping it wouldn't be too much for her.

"Yes? What is it you need... Shadow?"

"My name is Dark. Dark Vortex. Can't blame you for not getting my name, since we weren't... properly introduced?" I said, trying to get on good terms with the princess. It pays to have friends in high places, right?

"I'm... Twilight-"

"Twilight, I think he knows who you are. We're the six who saved Equestria countless times." The Rainbow Pegasus said. She was sort of right.

"Actually, you saved the world 6 times! One for Nightmare Moon, Discord, King Sombra, The Plunderseeds, Tirek, and Starlight Glimmer!" Clover recited, practically. I forgot how much every pony worshiped these ponies. Clover especially. But each of the beings that they defeated... they all held some magical significance. Magic I'd like to study...

"ANYWAY, back on topic, I'd like to study under you, learning magic. I'd like to learn all the secrets of magic and whatnot. Could you please teach me?" I asked, no... sort of pleaded, in a way.

"I suppose I CAN teach you magic. When would you like to start?"

"I'd like to start as soon as possible, if possible".

"We can start right now, if that's fine with you."

"I'd LOVE to start right now!"

"Alright girls, since we're gonna be doing magic, why don't you... uh... show off or something to Dark's friend here?" She said, in an unsure voice. Clover introduced himself, trying to impress the main six, and eventually, they went off. Meanwhile, Twilight and I went to her library, to learn some magic spells. She would start with some basic spells, such as a small illumination spell of the sort. Dark thought he could handle something as simple as that.

"You have to channel your magical energy into illuminating the area; you have to channel it into pure light energy, or a magical force that will copy light's properties."

"I'm... I'm trying! It's not working! This is..." I stopped. Lo and behold, there was an illuminant substance in the air. Something I conjured up. With my Magic! If I kept it up for a sort-of long time, I'd be able to... I'd be able to learn Dark Magic! I hear it's something only advanced magic users can do.

"Well, shall we start learning another spell?" She asked, and I nodded my head. Clover and I spent the rest of the day at the Castle (in two separate places. I was learning magic from Twilight, and he was learning all about the main six. I'd be surprised that he didn't want to learn magic, but I'm 100% sure that for him, the quintet of the Princess' friends will always come before magic. Not for me. I want to learn more magic, even if it means... no... I wouldn't).

---As I leave the Castle---

"That sure was a lot of fun, right Dark?" Clover asked me. It was obvious. It was.

"Yeah. I managed to learn two new spells. An Illumination Spell, but only a weak illumination spell, and another super secret sexy spell. Wanna guess what it is?"

"Yeah! What was it? A super secret sexy teleportation spell?"

"Sorry to disappoint you, but it was nothing of the sort. In fact, now that I think about it, the spell is seriously weak, and is nowhere close to being a super secret sexy spell." Clover was interested anyway, however, even though I killed the hype with a mere two sentences.

"I still want to know what the spell is, no matter how boring it is, Vortex! It could probably be used for some kind of awesome save-the-world kind of spell."

"Alright. It's a spark kind of spell. When Twilight used it, she was able to transfer electricity, and a small trace of heat. I can only transfer a Femtowatt or two. Twilight, however, could be powering Megawatts, or maybe even GIGAWATTS! I won't reach her level for a while.

"Oh well. See you tomorrow! Can't wait to go on the Canterlot Archives tomorrow! It's gonna be one of the best trips we ever went on!"

"Yeah, it's gonna be pretty epic! We can learn magic together!"

"Yessum! Well, it's sunset, so see ya!"

"Bye Clover!" A trip to the Canterlot Archives... it meant a chance to look at more magical spells and that's exactly what I needed to advance in the magic making spell thing performing business. I needed to become the best wizard, to surpass Star Swirl the Bearded himself. And I would do that.

"Well, I have a long day tomorrow". And I certainly do.
