Over one thousand years ago, a legendary war nearly destroyed Equestria. A rift in Tartarus was blown open by an evil wizard, and brought forth the most powerful demons from a realm of pure evil. The Alicorn sisters didn't stand a chance against even the weakest of these beasts. All seemed lost.

Before Equestria could become an inferno, however, a massive dragon came spiraling out from the rift. With it, seven powerful warriors came to fight the demons, and vanquished all who dared to harm the innocent.

At the end of the battle, all the demons were either purged or fled in terror back to Tartarus. The wizard had been sealed away by a mysterious golden dragon, and the seven warriors were nothing more than dust.

The first dragon had restored the lands in the blink of an eye, and in a flash, the dragon split into seven orbs, each one radiating knowledge and power of a different one of the seven.

Legends say that if one of a pure enough soul finds one, they would be granted the power and wisdom of whoever they had found.

It was one of Scootaloo's favorite stories that her father had told her. She always believed that they may have existed at one point, but never thought to look for any.

That changed the moment she met a new colt, Goku, and saw the four-starred sphere around his neck.
