Strong heart, Brittle heart, Light heart, Dark heart
Chapter 3
Previous ChapterChapter 3
In a week Scootaloo had her own room with a balcony and all. She ate at the palace, she slept at the palace, she had her new life at the palace.
Luna continued to listen in dismay to Scootaloo and Princess Celestia's conversations in dismay.
On the third week of Scootaloo's stay, while Celestia cradled her in her room, she bet get sister say:
"Well my dear Scootaloo, tomorrow we're going to go get an adoption form for you!"
Squeals from Scootaloo.
"Aren't you excited?! I am. I'm going to be your mommy? And where do you think Aunt Luna got to?" Princess Celestia said in a funny, teasing way.
More squeals from Scootaloo.
Princess Luna could hear their hoofsteps coming towards the door, looking for "Aunt Luna." The dark mare raced off to her room, so they didn't find her out.
She plopped down on her bed. Just then, her sister and Scootaloo trotted on happily, waiting to give Luna news that she already knew.
But Luna want going to show that.
Not. Just. Yet.
Princess Luna sat on her bed and pretended to read a book.
"Hi Aunt Luna!" Scootaloo exclaimed, practically bouncing of the walls.
"I'm getting adopted!"
Luna acted happy for her, but inside, a fire of anger and hate
burned deep in her soul.
"Oh, I can't wait!" She lied, putting a large smile on her face.
And with that, Princess Celestia and Scootaloo trotted off happily.
As soon as their backs were turned, Princess Luna's fake
smile turned into a genuine frown.
"Why does she not love me anymore?" Luna started to sob.
She rampaged around the room as the fire of hate in her soul
exploded into a raging fit, making her stomp and kick and
buck, as if it were to help her situation.
But it didn't.
Princess Luna didn't care.
She thrashed around, breaking every possession she had
in that room. Finally, she got to the last unbroken possession.
It was a picture, in a glass frame, of Princess Celestia and
herself, hugging closely.
She bucked it.
It shattered.
Luna slowly picked up the remains, gluring them back together
with her magic. She threw the picture in the trash,
but pieced the frame back together.
She set the frame down on her desk. Taking a piece of
parchment and drew a picture, carefully and beautifully,
of her sister and Scootaloo. Princess Luna put the
drawing into the frame, and with her magic, shattered
it into a million pieces. Scootaloo's head was the only
part of the drawing not completely shredded, so she
threw this too, into the trash.
The dark mare saw Princess Celestia, Scootaloo, and
her pictures in the trash.
She knew what she had to do.
