The Erroneous Spy

As Zach and Applejack were on their way home they came across a pink mare with a bouncy pink mane who was turned around talking to a little green alligator.

"Hey is that your friend Pinkie Pie you were telling me about Applejack?" Zach said while walking up to her.

"You're Pinkie Pie right?" He asked while tapping her shoulder.

As the pink mare turned around to face him she inhaled very loudly then ran away at speeds she shouldn't be capable of. "Well that was... interesting... are all your other friends like that?" Zach said sarcastically, while Applejack rolled her eyes.

"Well at least this town is intresti-" Zach said before he fell backwards because a certain blue pegasus just swooped down and flew right past him. "Hey, watch where your going!" Zach yelled as he stood back up brushing himself off. "How do pegasi even fly that fast!" He said angrily. "Don't mind Rainbow Dash, she means well even if she acts before she thinks." AJ said while looking up seeing Rainbow Dash doing tricks and loops with a rainbow trail being left behind her. "Ok, even with almost killing me, that's pretty cool." Zach said in astonishment.

When Rainbow Dash landed she skidded until she slowly came to a stop next to Zach and AJ. "So, You must be the new guy in town?" Rainbow said as she flew around them. "God it's been like 15 minutes how fast does word get around here?" He said.

"With Pinkie Pie, light speed" She said while flying around us "Well ya nearly killed 'im with that stunt ya know." AJ almost shouted. "Yeah... sorry about that i was going to fast to stop, and if i slowed down i would've hit you so...." Rainbow apologized while flying in place. "Eh no biggie just try to watch out. Why were you doing all those tricks for anyway?" He asked looking slightly confused.

"Oh, I'm training for a competition tomorrow, gotta do the small things first if i wanna make my way up to the Wonderbolts!" She said with a grin. "You should check it out, since i'm a racer I get to bring a guest" She said while holding up a ticket. Zach stared the ticket in astonishment. "Really, your inviting me?" He said, still surprised "Sure why not, all of my pegasi friends have something going on today and the race is being held in Cloudsdale so unicorns and earth ponies cant come." She explained. "Wow, Thanks Rainbow, I don't know what to say." He said while taking the ticket and smiling widely. "Cool then, i gotta go practice some moves if i wanna win, not like anyone else has a chance though, oh by the way the race is at 4!" She said while flying off fast. "Well that was cool, plus i got something to do tomorrow now He said while scratching his ear awkwardly.

"So should we get to the barn to help with the work?" Zach said while starting to walk.

"Yeah we better catch up on that sugar cube." AJ said as she followed him back to Sweet Apple Acres, occasionally making small talk along the way. When they got there it was mid day and about half the work was done due to Big Mac. "Well time to get to work!" Zach said with lots of enthusiasm as he ran up and bucked a tree with only 2 or 3 apples falling into conveniently placed baskets. "How do you ponies do this." He Mumbled to himself while sighing.

By the time all the work was done it was sunset everyone was tired, especially Zach do to him having to buck each tree multiple times for all the apples to fall. "Well its about time to hit the hay don't ya think?" Applejack said looking over at Zach who was comically punching the hay stack. "I didn't mean it literally." Applejack joked as she started walking back into the barn, Zach following close behind.

Next morning wasn't a usual one for Zach, because he ended up waking up at about 5 AM because Winona was barking and he couldn't go back to sleep so he was awake before the Apple family. "How do they stay asleep with this noise." Zach said while going to Winona and calming her down "Well if i'm up i might as well start making the breakfast." Zach said yawning. "Lets make some eggs." Zach said while rummaging through the cabinets. "Okay Butter, Eggs, and Milk." Zach said while mentally crossing items off the list and started looking around. "Now wheres the salt and pepper?" Zach asked to no one in particular as he rummaged around, he opened one of the cabinets and comically, a bag of flour fell onto his head. "Well Frick." he said while wiping flower from his eyes.

After he cleaned up his mess it was already around 6:15 so he got to making the eggs, as he was about ready to set them up on the table at about 7:00 he heard a faint yawning sound and looked over to see Apple Bloom walking down the stairs yawning. "Oh mornin', Apple Bloom, " he said while putting the egg plates on the table. "Mornin'" she said while rubbing her eyes.

"I was up so i decided to make eggs, its not much but its food." Zach said while shrugging. "Thanks for making these, why are you up anyway?" she asked while sitting down.

"Well I heard barking and i'm not the kind to go back to sleep after I wake up so i just started making stuff, figured its the least i could do." Zach started while eating his share of pancakes. Apple Bloom nodded as she was eating her pancakes. "Oh, hey y'all I didn't know you were up." AJ said walking down the stairs. "Eh, blame your dog for me, i cant vouch for your sister though." Zach said while point an egg beater to Apple Bloom. "But eh, its about time to get up anyway" Zach said while shrugging. After they started eating, Macintosh coming downstairs a few minutes later, Apple Bloom headed out for school and they all started to get to the farm work.
