A Surprising Discovery In Twilight's Library

"Hello, Twilight!" Sweetie Belle giggles as she bounces into the library. Her two friends Apple Bloom and Scootaloo don't appear to be in site. I panic and quickly stuff the book I'm reading under the desk along with all the notes, I can't let her see them.

"Oh! Hello. I didn't see you there, Sweetie." I lie and pull my usual smile. I've got so used to faking it. It's so perfect and it looks so real. "What are you here for?"

"I was wondering if I could look around the library," She chirps in such an innocent voice it makes me feel sick, "Is that OK, Twily?"

I feel a cringe coming on but I quickly disguise it as a thoughtful frown.

"Well..."

"Oh, please!"

I really do feel sick now. I try to keep my alicorn wings at my sides. I can't fly away. It will only make her suspicious, and Sweetie Belle knows too many ponies. If she found out my secret she would spread the word and everything would be ruined.

"Fine," I groan, "Don't make too much of a mess."

As she dashes off and rummages around, I keep my eyes on her until she's out of site. I sigh and wipe the sweat from my brow with my wings. I pull out my book again and read the front cover to myself, as quietly as possible. 'A Guide To Dark Magic.' I quickly flip through as I hear the clattering behind me. Nothing too complex. Then I fly up and go to the other side of the library. I slip it back into its space in the shelves before returning to my desk.
