S1E2: Elements of Harem-ny

PREVIOUSLY, on MY LITTLE PONY.

Random scenes from Episode 1.

Theme.

"*continued laughter from Nightmare Moon...*"

Twilight knew she needed to act immediately. So, she galloped back to the library.

"Where is she going?" Rainbow Dash speaks to absolutely no one in particular.

The remaining 5 mares decide to follow her until they hear a disgruntled groan.

"Awww, she left me behind again!" Spike spoke.

"Ohhhh Spike, don't worry we'll take you back to the library, we're curious too!" Pinkie Pie replied cheefully muzzle to nose with Spike.

"Here ride on my back Spike!" She continued.

"If you insist Pinkie... wait how do you know my name? I didn't even get introduced to you in the previous episode!"

"Oh Spike," Pinkie said while giving Spike a nose boop once he was on her back, "you have much to learn~"

The other four weren't so happy about it, but there were priorities, and obviously stopping eternal night is one of them. So the five of them galloped back to the library where Twilight was trying to find a book on the Elements of Harmony. They let Spike enter first and opted to eavesdrop on their conversation since totally not awkward at all.

"Twilight! You left me back at the Town Hall!"

"Huh? What’s that? Oh hi Spike! Where have you been?"

Spike then looked at the camera with a "really" look on his face.

"Anyways Spike, we need to find the Elements of Harmony."

This was apparently enough reason for Rainbow Dash to bash down the door to Twilight's place.

"And WHAT ARE THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY?! Whoaaa!" She yelled in Twilight's face and then exclaimed as Applejack pulled her back by her tail again...

"Hold on there Rainbow Dash," Applejack replied, "Might' sorry there on the broken door Twilight, but you seem to know what's been going on all around here."

"Alright Applejack, I think it is fair that I give you ponies an explanation. Nightmare Moon has returned after a now 1000 year banishing and apparently the only thing that can stop her are the Elements of Harmony, but I don't even know what these are!"

"Here ya go Twilight! The Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide." Pinkie said pulling out the exact right book from the bookshelf and handing it to her.

"Pinkie where did you find this?" Twilight replied surprised.

"It was under 'E'~" Pinkie bounced away while saying this.

"Okay, anyways reading this, apparently there are 6 elements, but only 5 are known: Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty and Loyalty.

Obvious pan across the 5 who will become the Elements.

"Well the last known location of the Elements is the old Castle of the Two Sisters in what is now the Everfree Forest." Twilight said matter-of-factly.

"What was that darling? I thought you said the Elements were in the Everfree Forest." Rarity double took.

"Yes they are Rarity." Twilight replied.

"Oh."

"Well silly ponies, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Pinkie Pie jumped up and exclaimed.

"Oh Twilight can I come?" Spike said with twinkles in his eyes.

"I'm sorry Spike but you're too young to go, you need your rest too." Twilight responded.

"Oh really now 'Ms. dating that dragon who is apparently too young to go'?"

This caused Twilight to wince as all of the 5 mares there had a mental gasp moment.

Well this makes things much more interesting doesn't it Rarity?

This just got much more awkward.

Ooo! Twilight isn't as much of a loner as I once thought she was!

Well looks like I got game!

Oh... my...

And of course Spike was the one who was aware of the situation and was the one to snap the 6 of them out of their wide-eyed trances.

"SNAP OUT OF IT!" Spike exclaimed after trying many times.

"Huh?" all of them could only babble over.

"So Twilight, am I going or not?"

"*sigh* Fine Spike... you can tag along..." Twilight spoke in resignation.

"Yay let's go!" was the general consensus.

"Wait you are going with me?" Twilight asked.

"Of course we are! We're your friends Twilight, we won't let ya go anywhere dangerous without us to be there for ya," Applejack decreed.

"Ya got that right Applejack!" was Rainbow's response.

"Even if the place is... less than... acceptable in appearance" Rarity continued.

"Oh... yes that's right Twilight, even if it is... scary... *squeak*" Fluttershy cowered.

"Come on Twilight let's go! We have a daytime to bring back!" Pinkie finished and dragged the other 6 out with her.

Transition to the entrance to the Everfree Forest.

"So we're here," Twilight said again... matter-of-factly.

They then entered the forest and trotted along.

"So anyways, have any of you ponies been here before?" Twilight attempted to make small talk.

"Oh heavens no Twilight, this place is dreadful!" Rarity complained.

"They say this place isn't natural." Applejack commented.

"You want to know why?" Rainbow Dash cockily said.

"Rainbow Dash, now's not the time for ya to be saying this," Applejack continued.

"Because everyone who enters this forest never comes out!"

*CRASH!* Cliff side breaks apart...

As the Mane 6 and Spike tumble down the crumbling cliff side, the two Pegasi Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy immediately went and caught Spike which allowed him to get a whiff of Rainbow Dash's... rainbow smell and Fluttershy's nice morning dew scent.

You'd think they'd save their own friends first.

Luckily Pinkie Pie and Rarity are quite rugged ponies despite what you think. Pinkie used her "Pinkie Powers" to get to the bottom safely as she is capable of platforming quite well. Rarity of course used a teleportation spell. Applejack slid down to get Twilight who was almost about to fall off a cliff.

"Hold on, I got ya, don't need to be all worried," Applejack calmly spoke as she held on to Twilight.

"Worried? I'm going to die! What do I do, What do I do?" Twilight panicked.

By this point, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy have put Spike down and of course got the glare from Pinkie Pie and Rarity for letting that happen. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy let out a small *squee*, then got ready to catch Twilight. Applejack noted that and reassured Twilight that she wouldn't die.

"Twilight, let go." Applejack said matter-of-factly.

"WHAT? Are you crazy!" Twilight said.

"Hey, book pony, ah thought y'all know that if you keep holding on, ah will fall as well ya know."

"But still, I DON'T WANNA DIE!" Twilight could feel tears coming out of her eyes at this point.

Spike!

"Trust me, this is the absolute truth."

"Spike? Is that true?"

Spike had a notion that all of these 5 mares were quite interested in him and obviously wouldn't let one of his closest friends fall to their death. So he knew that Applejack wasn't lying, he could even see it with his own two eyes as he was already down from the cliff.

"Twilight, I'm very sure that they wouldn't let someone who is important to me drop to their death now would they?" Spike spoke matter-of-factly.

That is a very good point.

Twilight let go and of course yelped out, but only for a bit as the two Pegasi caught her and brought her safely down to the ground. Applejack, of course being athletic, found her way down in a similar manner to Pinkie Pie, just minus the Pinkie Sense.

"Whoo! Good to be alive! Thanks Applejack!" Twilight exclaimed.

"No problem Twilight, a good friend always keeps their word." Applejack replied.

Transition to Fluttershy's Shining Moment.

Rainbow Dash being, well Rainbow Dash, was retelling the epic scene that occurred just a few stanzas above and of course as with everyone with an ego that needs shutting, Twilight decides that her friends heard enough, especially poor Spike.

"Alright Rainbow, I was there, and yes I am grateful, but we gotta-- *GASP* A MANTICORE!"

Yes indeed, it was a Manticore. Such a sad occurrence for the Mane 6 and Spike. Anyways, as the Manticore attacks, Rarity of all ponies is the one to act first, and by kick it nonetheless. She decides to go for the kick.

"Take that you ruffian!"

Of course the Manticore doesn't really approve of that and roars at her as usual.

"My mane!"

"wait."

Fluttershy's voice was sadly unheard. Applejack decides to bronco style wrangle the Manticore... bad idea as she gets thrown off.

"All yours Rainbow Dash!"

"You got it Applejack!"

"wait."

Rainbow Dash did a similar move to her "Rain-Blow Dry" on the Manticore in an attempt to put it in a daze, unfortunately for her, the Manticore had quite the dexterity and slapped her with its tail.

"Whoaaa!"

"Rainbow!" Twilight exclaimed,  "*snort*"

The five of them plus Spike were ready to charge the Manticore and did so... well Pinkie Pie was hopping, Spike totally preparing his flame breath...

"WAIT!!!!!" Fluttershy finally decided to yell.

The 6 of them were confused at first and also startled since Fluttershy would usually never talk this loud. Fluttershy then started to approach the Manticore.

"Shhhh, it's ok you poor little thing."

"Little?" Rainbow Dash questioned.

The Manticore was a bit shy, but nevertheless showed what was angering him, a thorn in the paw. That is going to hurt. Nevertheless Fluttershy yanked out the splinter with her teeth, the Manticore roared a bit at first, but then started licking Fluttershy as he was satisfied to get that thorn out as he didn't have the dexterity to do so.

"See Twilight? Sometimes we just need to be shown a little bit of kindness."

Twilight of course smiled at this.

Transition to Pinkie Pie's Shining Moment.

"Ugh, my eyes need a rest from this icky muck..." Rarity complained, "well I didn't mean that literally."

At least we brought the dragon along~

"That ancient ruin could be in front of our face and we wouldn't even know it!" Twilight spoke feeling a bit uneasy about walking in a dark forest.

"I think I just stepped in something." Applejack spoke.

Fluttershy then screamed.

"It's just mud..." Applejack continued, then of course saw what she was screaming about, "Ahhh!"

Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Spike were not happy to see these scary faces all around them. Pinkie Pie on the other hand... no she was not laughing at the faces. What she did do since there was Spike nearby, was use Spike as a lighter and burn the faces off. It was quite the uncomfortable experience for Nightmare Moon as she didn't expect that to happen.

"Pinkie are you CRAZY?!" Twilight Sparkle could only yell.

"See? Isn't this fun! Twilight! Rarity! Join me you silly Unicorns!"

"Wait, Pinkie, how are those trees not burning up?"

"I have no idea!" Pinkie replied with a big smile on her face.

"Darling, this doesn't quite seem my style..."

"Well Rarity would you rather keep screaming or do something about it?" Pinkie Pie has never been so logical in her life.

"I thought I would never say this Pinkie, but that is a very good point." Rarity realized.

The three of them (Twilight, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie holding Spike) proceeded to blast and burn any of the faces off of the tree while laughing maniacally while Fluttershy was wide-eyed. Rainbow and Applejack had a small conversation.

"Applejack? I just realized something."

"What's that Rainbow?"

"I don't want to die."

The flaming trio then finished burning down the faces.

"As you can see Twilight, we all need some fun and laughter once in a while."

"Pinkie Pie, you have never been so much more correct," Twilight smiled.

Transition to Rarity's Part.

The septet then approached a raging river. Why was this river raging? A Sea Serpent who had one side of his... mustache... cut off...

Rarity of course would not have any of this.

"Why it is a tragedy indeed Mr. Sea Serpent! We can't let you have this fashionable tragedy any longer!" Rarity exclaimed, "Spike, cut off my tail."

"Wait what? Isn't that a bit... sensitive? I mean there is a reason your tail covers your..."

"JUST DO IT SPIKE!" Rarity yelled out.

"if you insist." Spike replied as he got a claw out and sliced Rarity's tail short.

"Rarity, are you sure you'll be ok with that?" Twilight spoke.

"Oh it'll grow back Twilight darling."

Rarity then fixed up the Sea Serpent's mustache using her tail hairs. He of course thanked them and used his body as a bridge across the river, thankful for the generosity that the unicorn has showed her.

"My rear feels a lot colder than usual Twilight." Rarity continued as they were trotting through the Everfree.

"You know Rarity, I just so happen to know a spell to regrow that tail of yours." Twilight spoke.

"Oh darling, would you be so kind as to use it on me? Spike there seems to be quite flustered."

Indeed Spike was, the poor thing wasn't prepared for this stuff. Twilight of course complied since of reasons. Rarity's tail was good in no time.

Transition to Rainbow Dash's scene.

"There it is! The ruins that hold the Elements of Harmony now just to cross this... bridge?" Twilight questioned, "How do we get across this?"

"Duhhhh." Rainbow Dash flew down and grabbed the rope of the fallen bridge and flew to the other side to tie it.

At that moment, the Shadowbolts appeared and clouded up the scene so the rest of the 6 couldn't see.

"We've been waiting for you Rainbow Dash, fastest and best flier of Equestria," one of the Shadowbolts spoke.

"Who are you ponies." Rainbow Dash sneered.

"We are the Shadowbolts, the greatest aerial team in the Everfree Forest and we want you to be our Captain."

"Seriously just like that?"

"Yes indeed, you are the fastest and best flier we've seen ever to come through here, and that says a lot."

"What do you want me to do to sign up?"

"Oh Rainbow Dash, all you gotta do is leave your friends."

"What was that, Shadowbolt?"

"All you have to do is leave your friends."

*Record Scratch*

"WHAT? No way! Screw you!"

"Very well then."

The Shadowbolts ran off and Rainbow Dash tied the other end of the bridge to the posts and then flew back.

"See Twilight? I don't leave my friends hanging." Rainbow Dash spoke with a smile.

Twilight of course smiled at that.

Maybe this friendship thing that Spike is talking about isn't as bad as I thought it was.

They trotted into the ruins and found 5 of the elements.

"Alright Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash bring them down."

They did so.

"1, 2, 3, 4... 5? Where is the 6th one?" Rainbow Dash questioned.

"Well apparently Rainbow Dash, a spark is supposed to reveal the 6th element," Twilight said in a matter-of-factly voice.

"I have an idea," she continued, "stand back."

The rest of them all stood back as Twilight summoned a spark. It was at that moment that Nightmare Moon in gas form started to swirl around the elements. All of them took notice of it. Spike tried to use his flames to disperse Nightmare Moon to no avail. Twilight decided the most logical course of action apparently was to jump into the thing which she did. She was teleported to one of the top towers of the ruins.

"Where'd she go?" Applejack asked.

"Over there!" Spike yelled while pointing at said tower.

Rarity being the only unicorn left of the five levitated Spike onto her back and was also the quickest to react.

"Let's go! We can't let Spike's mare get into any more trouble even though we got him to ourselves!" Rarity spoke loud enough to snap the rest of them out of their daze.

"Wait what?" Rainbow Dash could only blurt out.

"Oh darling, is it not quite obvious that you all are interested in him." Rarity whispered to them indicating Spike with a head nod.

"Oh yeah, right, I forgot about that," Rainbow Dash squee'd.

The 5 of them proceeded to gallop up the tower ruins. It was quite tall, approximately 15 stories tall.

Nightmare Moon appeared in the middle of the elements.

"You think you can beat me?" She taunted.

"Well time to find out isn't it?" Twilight mocked.

Twilight began to charge at Nightmare Moon. Of course Nightmare Moon charged as well. What she didn't know was that Twilight teleported all the way to the elements leaving her confused. Twilight then sent a spark through the 5 elements. Nightmare Moon not wanting to be bested teleported right in front of Twilight. At first the spark seemed to have worked.

"NO!" Nightmare Moon exclaimed.

Luckily for Nightmare Moon. The spark did nothing. Nightmare Moon then laughed maniacally and stomped which caused the elements to shatter as well as the tower to start crumbling around them.

"Say farewell to the daylight, THE NIGHT WILL LAST FOREVER!" Nightmare Moon triumphantly exclaimed.

"Twilight?" The 5 of her now friends and Spike were calling out as they arrived.

It was at that moment that Twilight's heart grew 2 sizes and she came to a realization.

The Elements were right in front of me all along! This shall show her!

"You may have destroyed the elements Nightmare Moon but they are right here!" Twilight yelled out as she pointed over to the 5 of her now friends.

"Applejack when you proved your trustworthiness at the cliff, represents the Element of Honesty!"

The shards of the respective element then circled around her.

"Fluttershy, who showed compassion to the aching Manticore, Element of Kindness!"

"Pinkie Pie, who showed that having fun and laughter is good to have, Element of Laughter!"

"Rarity, who was generous in giving even when she knew what would happen to her, Element of Generosity!"

"And Rainbow Dash, who wouldn't abandon her friends no matter what, Element of Loyalty!"

The shards of the elements of course are all circling their respective character.

"The spark was friendship which resides in my heart and it creates the 6th element! Magic!"

The last element appeared and then The Mane 6 then proceeded to Rainbow Blast Nightmare Moon like crazy.

"NOOOOOOO!!!!"

When everything settled down, Twilight's friends all realized they had a necklace that each looks like their cutie mark. Nightmare Moon was no more but a blue alicorn was in her place. They didn't have much time though as the tower finally started to collapse. Twilight acted fast and summoned up all her magic to grab all 7 of them and jump out a hole in the tower dragging them along.

"Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy! Go grab the alicorn and bring her safely to the ground!"

"We're on it Twilight!" Rainbow Dash replied.

"Rarity! Use your magic to teleport you and Applejack to the ground!"

"Of course Twilight!"

"Pinkie Pie! Spike! Hold onto me!"

"Okie Dokie Twilight!"

"Alright, Twilight!"

Everything went smoothly as needed. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy brought the alicorn to the ground safely, Rarity teleported herself and Applejack down to safety, and Twilight got herself, Pinkie Pie, and Spike all down in once piece with another teleport spell.

"Well that was interesting alright," the 5 friends all agreed.

"Oooo! I bet in some other boring universe this didn't happen!" Pinkie Pie spoke with a big smile on her face while getting confused looks from the rest of the crowd.

"Thank you girls, I'm very sure we do represent the Elements of Harmony and the attributes of friendship since what I said did work." Twilight thanked the girls.

"Indeed you do," Princess Celestia approached.

"Princess Celestia!" all of the 7 exclaimed and bowed down.

"Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student, I knew you could do it."

"But, you just told me it was an old pony's tale," Twilight spoke.

"I told you that you needed to make friends, nothing else. I saw the signs as well Twilight, and I knew you had the magic in you to defeat her, but you couldn't unleash it until you let true friendship in your heart. Now if only another one will as well. Princess Luna!" Princess Celestia turned to Luna.

"*gasp*" was all Luna could muster.

"It's been a 1000 years since I have last seen you like this. It is time to put our differences aside. We were meant to rule together little sister," Celestia continued.

"Sister?!" All but Twilight and Spike exclaimed since they read the book.

"Will you accept my friendship?"

"I'm so sorry! I missed you so much, big sister!" Luna exclaimed as she gave her older sister a tight hug.

"I've missed you too."

Pinkie Pie then blew her nose, sobs, then spoke, "You know what this calls for?"

Final Transition to this Two-Parter.

"A party!" Pinkie finished.

There was much celebrating as Celestia and Luna arrived on a chariot pulled by Pegasi guards. Spike of course was next to Twilight as she gave him a good nuzzle for being a good drake. Twilight's friends of course bowed to the princesses. Luna got a flower lei from some Pegasus fillies and smiled at that. Celestia then noticed Twilight was glum.

"Why so glum Twilight?" Celestia asked, "Aren't you happy that you can return to your studies in Canterlot?"

"That's just it. When I realized how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them," Twilight sadly replied.

"Spike, take a note please. I, Princess Celestia hereby decree that the Unicorn Twilight Sparkle shall take on a new mission for Equestria. She must continue her studies in the magic of friendship. She must report to me her findings from her new home in Ponyville."

There was much cheering from her new friends who know that Spike would still be here AND they got to make a new friend at the same time.

"Oh thank you, Princess Celestia! I'll study harder than before!"

The cheering continued as the ponies partied.

Zoom out of Ponyville.

*Sigh*. Yes Pinkie Pie, we know how excited you are.
