Chapter-22 Consequence of thy deceit [Edited]
"Sister, sister, Are you okay?" Luna asked as Celestia came to her head was splitting, and her vision was blurry.
"Uhh... Luna... What happened?" Celestia asked as she got to her hooves and attempted to focus on what had happened.
"Lay down sister, you are hurt," Luna said as she used her magic to make Celestia lay back down. As she did Celestia's memories of how she got hurt shot through her mind.
"Is the bond gone, Did I succeed?" Celestia said in a frantic voice.
"Calm down sister... wait what does thou mean the bond?" Luna asked with a confused expression.
Celestia lowered her head as low as it could go before she spoke. "I ahm... I attempted to dispel the magic bond that binds you and Night," Celestia said slowly dreading her sisters next questions.
"Did you succeed, wait why did thou not tell us we could have surely aided in the bonds destruction, does thou not trust us, sister?" Luna demanded
"No, I trust you sister it's just that..." Celestia started saying but stopped and put her front hooves over her muzzle.
"Its just what sister?" Luna questioned becoming infuriated.
Celestia stayed quiet for a few moments before opening her mouth, but she hesitated.
"Speak sister, what reason could you possibly have for not seeking our aid?" Luna inquired now becoming enraged and starting to tear up.
Celestia attempted to hug her sister but Luna stepped away from her hooves and looked angrily at her. Celestia lowered her head and took a deep breath before she began speaking with tears falling from her eyes.
"I couldn't tell you, How could I tell you, How could I ask you to help me sever the bond if doing so might kill Night?"
"Severing the bond could have killed Night, and thee still attempted it without even telling us?!" Luna began shouting white hot with anger as she looked at her sister in disbelief.
"Luna I am sorry, but I had to do it," Celestia said trough sobbing eyes but as soon as she had said her sisters name Luna teleported away.
{To think that my sister put so much magic into her spell that she hurt her physical body. I should make sure that Night wasn't hurt from the spell. It simply won't do for him to die, or I would be at risk of being banished again. I can finally give him back his name Josh Rovers, it is not an easy name to remember. My sister seemed genuinely regretful. Hopefully, she will be more lenient with Night from now on, and I can stop worrying that he will lash out because the guards tried to imprison him.} Luna thought as she re-appeared in the hospital room Night was still asleep.
Luna noticed that Night had somehow slept through the ordeal without even a scratch on him. As she got closer, she instantly relaxed as she felt the slight pressure of the casts on Nights legs. The bond hadn't broken despite Celestia having used more power than Luna had expected. And because of the wording of her enchantment Celestia would now feel guilty about almost killing Night. She felt calm that she was still protected from being banished by the elements. Luna layed down on one of the hospital beds in the hospital room and fell into a slumber.
"Princess Luna, Princess Celestia has requested that you bring dawn to the land and asks for your forgiveness," Luna heard as she had her blanket pulled from her. As she awoke, she noticed a unicorn guard holding her blanket in his magic.
"Tell my sister it is not just my forgiveness she should seek, and that she would have to seek it in person," Luna stated venomously as she turned to the window and focused on bringing dawn to the land.
"How da..." The unicorn guard began saying before he realized that he was talking to a princess and stopped and corrected himself. "I will inform her majesty of your reply Princess Luna," The guard said with gritted teeth.
As the guard left to convey Luna's words she walked towards Night and poked his shoulder trough the covers in an attempt to wake him up.
Night didn't move in any way and so Luna proceeded to examine his body with magic searching for what was preventing him from waking. She discovered her sisters sleeping spell and proceeded to dispel it. As soon as she dispelled it Night sat up screaming.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
As Night wailed, Luna was sent flying back from the sheer volume and covered her ears with her front hooves, in an attempt to block out the sound as the windows in the room shattered.
"What happened?!" Celestia shouted as she burst through the doors with woe thick in her voice.
"Just a minor consequence of thy deceit sister," Luna said venomously as she slowly got back on her hooves.
At this Celestia's form wavered for a second but she regained her balance and spoke confidently.
"Undoubtedly you see now that I had to break the bond Luna, It was dangerous, he is dangerous to our subjects and he is not immortal like us, I couldn't risk you coming to harm when he eventually passed on," Celestia replied with renewed vigor.
"And yet the bond persists sister, Did thee think that we jested when we said that the bond was indestructible, It may be fuzzy, but we still have the memories of Nightmare Moon, We know that the bond is powered by Nights life force itself and as such could not be broken by magic," Luna said accusingly.
"What... no, the bond persists, then it was all for nothing," Celestia said lowering her head in defeat.
"Not for nothing sister, thy actions demonstrated perfectly how much you trust us and Night, as well as how willing you were to kill the one I love just because it was the easiest way!" Luna said shouting at Celestia with hatred heavy in the air; each word Luna spoke made Celestia take a step back.
During this exchange, Night was breathing heavily with a lowered head unable to calm down. As he finally managed to gather his composure he looked up and saw Luna declaring her love for him while scaring away Celestia.
The sight was strange, to say the least, as the petite mare was pushing back the much bigger mare. While declaring a lie with such conviction that even Night who knew it was a lie believed it for a second. Upon seeing Celestia's form Night remembered the horrible nightmare he had just awoken from where Celestia continuously killed him, and yet he did not die. As the memories flooded his mind, Night attempted to move away from the alicorn and ended up falling to the ground causing immense pain to surge through his bandaged legs.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH" Both Luna and Night agonizingly screamed in unison as Luna fell to the ground.
Luna are you okay?" Celestia asked as she attempted to pick up her sister in her front hooves.
"Don't thee dare," Luna said as she teleported away from Celestia. "This is all thy fault," Luna said as she and Night teleported away from the hospital room.
As Luna and Night appeared in Luna's bedchamber, she directed her attention towards him and was instantly reminded that he still didn't have any clothes. She stumbled on her hooves as she blushed, and her horn flared up. In the next moment, Night was restrained in her bed sheets as blood began seeping trough the fabric.
"If I give you back your name will you promise to use it only when we are alone, away from prying ears?" Luna asked in a serious tone.
Night didn't know why this was so urgent. He did want to know his true name, but he was currently bleeding out. He decided to agree with anything if only so he can have his wounds treated.
"I promise now-" Night began but was cut off by Luna.
"-Excellent thy true name is Josh Rovers," Luna said pleased with herself.
Night felt complete again as if he had gotten back an arm he had lost. His joy was cut short by a chilling sensation in his legs.
"My wounds are opened; I need someone to heal me before I bleed out!" Night shouted at Luna, who had fallen to sitting position.
