Sorry its not the dragon chapter but I sort of need to establish their relationship before the GGG and its easiest in strenuous circumstance. Also a bit of characterization about Josh's pride in his title.

Comment on anything and know that I already suspect you hate me delaying progression of the story for character development to which I say. Shoganai.

Chapter-31 The Climb[Edited]

Once Rainbow Dash stood up again, she walked to her friends while staring at Night.

"You only got lucky dog, and what gives you the right to say things like that. Fluttershy might not be as awesome as me, but she is my friend, and I won't stand for you badmouthing my friends." Dash said in a threatening tone.

"There is no luck in a fight, just things you don't notice, as for Fluttershy I only said what I saw." At hearing this Rainbow tried to fly at Night again, but was stopped by Twilight gripping her tail with her magic.

"That's enough Rainbow we need to get along, at least until we deal with the dragon; Princess Celestia thought that they might help in this mission. I don't like it either, but we have to focus on dealing with the dragon right now." Twilight said in a calming voice.

"Yeah okay Twi, but mark my words this isn't over dog," Rainbow said staring at Night. As the group began walking towards the mountain, Princess Luna spoke up wanting to break the uncomfortable silence, which had broken out after Dash's words.

"Um, actually Night Shadow, isn't a diamond dog." Luna said in a nervous tone.

"Not a diamond dog? Then what is he? A hornless minotaur, no the hooves are all wrong. Princess Luna, what is he, if he is not a hairless diamond dog?" Twilight spoke in a frantic manner.

"Calm down Twilight, we have more than enough time to speak as we walk. He said his kind was called hueman." Luna began to speak in a comforting voice before Night called from her other side.

"Not hueman, it's human, and I think you would get better answers from me. Seeing as I was almost killed twice by your Princesses lack of knowledge on the subject," - Night said calmly.

"And why should we trust you hueman?" Dash asked putting emphasis on the last word. Twilight and Luna both looked a bit worried at what Night's reaction might be.

"Because I have nothing to gain by lying horse." Night said with annoyance glaring at Rainbow, who was flying on the other side of Luna. He attempted to emphasise horse and judging by the ponies gasps he knew he had succeeded.

"Horse how dare you, I'll beat it into you that we are ponies," Rainbow yelled at Night.

"Do it if you can, I won't lose to anyone who doesn't use magic, and this time I won't stop after one counter attack." Night said as a grin appeared on his face in a challenging tone.

{I need to stop this before he actually hurts somepony. But what can I threaten him to make him behave. Night is acting like a foal, and I can't punish him in anyway that won't end badly. Magic yes I can still try that. I hope this works.} Luna thought as she spoke before Rainbow had a chance to attack Night or taunt him into attacking her.

"Night stop this, or did you fall in love with Miss Dash?" Luna said in a slightly hurt voice, as she looked Night in the eyes. Her stare was conveying that if he continued, she would make him regret it.

{Did I say something wrong? I thought I was clear that I hated Rainbow; maybe I did something without realizing it. Oh no, I can't risk our deceit being found out, especially when I am still training in magic. I must act fast can't let the lie be found out.} Night thought as he took his left arm and put it around Luna's neck, pulling her closer to him.

"I will only be bound to you," Night said in a gentle voice, as the ponies stared at him and Luna.

"Well, as long as you understand, and please stop acting like a foal, it's shameful," Luna said in a calm voice that carried a hint of satisfaction in it.

"I will try, but I do have to defend the title of Weaponmaster, if anyone attacks me, I will defeat them. Don't worry if they are ponies I will do my best not to kill them. Also, I thought we agreed I would act as I feel, I should or are you considering accepting my proposal?" As Night said this, Luna turned a violet colour, and it took a whole minute of uncomfortable silence. She realized that the proposal he was speaking of was their new agreement. As she could not agree or disagree to owe him a favour without sounding suspicious, Luna answered in the only way she could.

"I am, considering it," Luna said with an unenthusiastic voice. As she did, the element bearers stopped in their tracks, the guards to their credit, only missed a beat, but then continued trotting as if nothing strange was said.

"We should hurry, if you want to make it back to Ponyville by nightfall." Luna commented as she turned and saw the bearers, paralyzed forms. Her words seemed to snap them out of it as they began walking again, up the mountain.

Before long, Rarity spoke and broke the strange silence.

"Princess I don't mean to pry, but what is this proposal Night spoke of?" She asked in a conspiratorial manner.

"My relationship with Night Shadow, is a personal matter, and I would appreciate it if you do not ask such blunt questions in the future." Luna said defensively causing Rarity to stop walking, until she was at the back of the group with Fluttershy and Apple Jack.

With that the silence returned. Luna could only think of two things as she continued to walk up the mountain path, next to Night.

{His body sure is warm for not having fur. But what was I thinking breaking this beautiful silence. I mean really, what would have happened if Night didn't get the hint, or decided to ignore it everything would have fallen apart. No this silence is calming it's peaceful. I like it.}
