Chapters are getting a bit longer again. I am sorry for all the people who don't have the time to read longer chapters. I am trying to keep them short.

Comments are welcome like maybe if I overdid Josh/ Night's rudeness (keep in mind he genuinely believed he was going to die for the ponies)

Luna awoke shocking everypony. She found herself being carried by a unicorn 2 earth ponies and a pegasus guards on a stretcher made from a guards tent while Vibrant Arts and the other unicorn guard were covering the rear of the group. Twilight had taken the responsibility of carrying Nights unconscious body using her magic and was detailing his physique without touching his blood stained clothes. Upon noticing Luna's gaze Twilight made the scroll and quill she was using to document her findings disappear and spoke.

"Princess Luna how are you awake so soon after magically draining yourself? We thought that you would be out for at least a day."-Twilight asked summoning another quill and scroll.

"It becomes easier to regain ones magic with practice. I would like to know what became of the dragon? I did see it had fallen to the ground but if its still alive it might attack the near pony settlements once it awakens."- Luna said in a serious tone. The ponies seemed uneasy at her question even to the point where Flutershy was on the verge of crying. Noticing this Luna turned her gaze to her guards as she jumped off her stretcher.

"Well princess we shouldn't worry about the dragon. Its heart along with a large amount of its blood and lungs left its body trough a rather large hole in its back where his wings used to be." -The pegasus guard said shivering at the memory.

"I see, did it put up much of a fight? It seemed rather weakened when Night brought it down."- The princess asked preparing to use her magic to heal somepony if need be.

"Um No princess Night Shadow brought it down quite permanently."- The guard said turning a rather sickly blue colour as he remembered the dragon yet again. His wings snapping shut tight.

"Well then Vibrant Arts, Stormy Cloud I hear by appoint you my personal guards for your actions here today."-At this Stormy grinned but Vibrant Arts just looked at her wing and spoke.

"I can't accept that princess. I will be of no use to the guard with a wing like this."- As Luna looked at the wing she remembered her failure. The wing was so infused with residue magic that no spell would work on it properly and it was beyond anything medicine could help as far as she knew.

{No I cant let this be she lost her flight I can't take her job from her too.}

"You will be my personal guard miss Arts if you believe that your lack of wings will prevent you from your duties I would be happy to supervise your study of magic as I am doing for Night. Or alternatively I suppose you could ask him for training in the art of wielding weapons. He did prove that his skills have no equal."-As Vibrant heard magic she began to tremble but once she heard of the suggestion of Night teaching her to wield weapons she fell to the ground and hid behind her hooves and began sobbing.

Everypony but the guards looked at Vibrant in a questioning manner and the guards were standing still as statues. It was at this moment that Luna realized that her suggestion must have sounded like a death sentence to Vibrant Arts due to the "Test" all night guards took and she hurried to correct herself.

"I am sure that he would not hurt you miss Arts. After all he did not hurt even one pony during the test nor did he hurt miss Dash when she attacked him earlier. You will have to chose which though as Night has developed a bit of a distaste for magic users due to me and my actions."-Luna lowered her head as she said this. Vibrant Arts and the other guards shivered at the word test and Twilight seemed to get a nervous tick in her eye. Once Vibrant calmed down she spoke quietly.

"Very well princess. I shall ask Night Shadow to teach me and trust in your judgement."- Vibrant said with a trembling voice.

"I don't see why ya'all are so afraid. Night here's just a scrawny hornless minotaur I mean sure he might be fast on his feet but ya'all are the royal guards, what got ya so scared of im?" -Apple Jack asked annoyed at how the guards trembled at the very mention of Night.

"You don't understand, you weren't there." - The unicorn guard said as Vibrant hid behind him.

"Ahem, what I believe my guard is referring to is the test all night guards had to take under Nights request. You see he wished to ensure my safety as our fates are bound and I decided that it would be a good chance for me to find his limits. He fought off 143 royal guards with 13 captains armed with nothing but a monkey wrench without harming anypony of course."-Luna said in a nonchalant way trying to downplay the achievement.

All stared at Luna as if she had grown a second head then they stared at Night's floating sleeping form as Twilights magic fizzled out from the information. Luna used her magic and managed to catch Night before he hit the ground. As Luna was still trying to conserve her magic so she could bring night rather then leave it to her sister Night was placed on her back and held in place by her wings.

Before anyone could comment Night shot awake and grabbed Luna in a tight grip. It only took him five seconds to realize that he was still alive and where he was and let go of Luna. The two of them fell to the road Luna trying to regain her breathing and Night simply succumbing to dizziness.

Once Night came to his senses he was picked up and forced to lie back on Luna's back by a blue aura.

"Rest for now Night you still need to regain your magical energy."- Luna said sternly.

"Oh my does this mean you have accepted his proposal princess?"-Rarity asked in a coy voice.

{If I say no or maybe he might think that I am backing out of my word and won't do this favour. Oh great I hoped this could be postponed at least until the gala where I could have a disagreement with him and end this false relationship.}

"Um yes I have decided to give him a chance and accept his proposal."

"Give him a chance? So its not a wedding proposal?"-Rarity asked sounding a bit disappointed. To which Luna blushed and rapidly turned almost dropping Night from her back. Before she had a chance to protest Night spoke up.

"You ponies sure have interesting strategies about doing things. My ways might not be pleasant but at least I know that I would protect that which is important to me." -As Night words were heard Flutershy and Rainbow lowered their heads in shame but Twilight spoke defiantly.

"Oh yeah and what would you have done better if you were in charge of the plan?"-Twilight asked in a smug Canterlot tone.

"Bring down the cave entrance and let the dragon suffocate in its smoke."- Night answered without hesitation but then continued." Or if I was supposed to give negotiations a try hide all non-unicorns around the cave and prepare for an ambush. Then have the unicorns either make sounds or send magic inside the cave to draw the dragon out. If he attacks upon seeing the unicorns kill him while he is trying to break trough their barriers if not wait and if he doesn't understand reason kill him."- As the ponies heard the meticulous plans being said Rarity spoke up.

"I thought you were a gentlecolt but it would appear that you are nothing but a scoundrel."-Rarity said sounding offended.

"For the second time someone has claimed I do not follow your foolish teachings. I will say it once so remember it well. I am a Weaponmaster I have devoted my life to the sole art of wielding weapons. Weapons are by nature tools made for fighting. In order to truly master any weapon you must troll away notions such as unjust or unfair. Or are you truly so narrow minded that you would rather die along with those you call friends to a creature that is faster stronger and can breath fire because you didn't use every weapon you had at your disposal. I didn't believe for a second that you would succeed if your negotiations failed. I wouldn't have even bothered saving you if it wasn't for Luna after all you failed to bring the one thing that would have compensated for your failing."-At hearing Night's angry voice the 6 element bearers began sobbing.

Rainbow and A.J. wanted to say something, to defend their actions but nothing came to mind. Honour truly was worthless when faced with the lives of their friends and they hadn't even argued when Twilight had decided not to take the elements. Finally Luna's voice came to their salvation.

"That's enough Night." Luna said in a voice that suggested that she would stop him with magic if he didn't either shut up or apologise.

"I am sorry I merely wanted to point their flaws so I am not forced to protect them and be taken away from my personal matters. As for my words to you Flutershy it would appear that my trust in your spirit was false."-Night said in a rather sad voice rather then angry or annoyed hopped off of Luna's back and began to walk dizzily along the path.

He made 20 paces before the magic exhaustion he was still suffering from caught up to him and he fell face first on the road.

Feeling pain in her forehead and muzzle Luna sighed and picked and placed the passed out Night back on her back beckoning the other ponies to move. And so the 13 ponies walked back to Ponyville in a calming silence.
