Chapter-40 First date[Edited]

As Luna was heading back to her room to see if Night had awoken she had a wide smile on her face.{ My sister will miss day court and maybe if I can make her do it enough time she would see that our subjects do not need to have their hoofs held for every little thing. If Night is up I could make him a prince and then apologize for using magic on him. He forgave me before surely he will again, although given what I saw I sort of want to do something nice so he doesn't attack Celestia again.} Luna was snapped from her thoughts as a small rain fell on her .

Startled she looked up and all around the hallway trying to find out who was responsible for her being drenched but she could not see or hear anyone. A bit annoyed that she couldn't find out who was to blame Luna merely huffed and teleported to her bathroom not wanting to drag water on the floor and not wishing to risk burning her fur with a heat spell.

Once Luna had finished bathing she dried herself with a towel and headed to Nights room. Even though she should be feeling tired after spending half the night ordering her sister to brighten or dim stars Luna felt as thou she had more energy then ever before. Upon seeing that Night was not in his room Luna panicked. {What if he was angry with me for using magic on him and went on a rampage? I should have had the chains remain, but then he would have surely went on a rampage once he was free. No I should have stayed and awaited for him to wake up.} As Luna thought this she raced trough the still open door.

"GUARDS."-Realizing that the guards would surely know where he is if he was attacking ponies Luna yelled.

"Yes princess ." 2 guards answered in 10 seconds as the entered the room.

"Do you know where Night Shadow is?" Luna asked with a bit of urgency in her voice.

"He is at the barracks..." one of the guards began as Luna teleported. "training his spear wielding skills." The guard finished speaking to air.

"Is she in estrus or something?" The other guard asked.

"Shut up if either princess or Night Shadow hear us speaking of this we are as good as dead. Now lets get back to our patrol and remember we saw and heard noting." The night guard said in a serious tone as the 2 guards left the princess's room.

As Luna appeared near the barracks she noticed Night as he dragged a spears edge to the ground around him in a circle and small pieces of earth floated around him.{ He is using the spear as a catalyst? But that requires a lot more concentration and is more draining he shouldn't be able to do this yet.} Luna thought shocked in her place as Night stabbed a slightly bigger patch of earth into smaller bits only holding the spear by the very edge of the hilt. Then he withdrew the spear loosening his grip so that he was now holding it in the middle of the hilt then he began to spin it around himself at a fast pace using both the hilt and the edge to strike the floating earth. Once the earth was gone away from him he grabbed the spear upside down with both hands and at the very edge of the hilt and stabbed the edge in the ground then using his magic to make himself lighter he bent the spear and send himself flying in the air digging out the spear as he did. As he was falling down he spun around in the air gaining momentum and landed on the ground the edge of the spear slicing a practice pony dummy into 2 perfectly even halves despite the edge only hitting the head and grazing the chest.

Luna was shocked out of her mesmerised observation of Night's skills by the cheers of some guards that were observing him from the side where they were far away from being hit by flying debris. {Well at least he didn't go on a rampage, I should make sure it stays that way.}

"Night I am here to grant you your title as these guards will serve as witness." Luna said in a loud commanding voice as Night turned to her.

"Is the weapon pointed at me truly necessary?" Night asked as he turned to face Luna.

"I am afraid so it symbolizes that you trust me with your life . Surely you do not fear I might strike you down?" Luna asked a bit worried but mostly curios.

"I suppose not but in return allow me to point a spear at you while you perform the ceremony. Surely you do not fear me striking you down either. Do you?" Night answered with a smirk.

"Uhm it is unusual but I suppose there is no etiquette against it. Guards surround us and bear witness to the ceremony." Luna said as she walked closer to Night and the guards surrounded them in a circle.

"Kneel Night Shadow." Luna ordered and Night did so pointing the spear inches from Luna's neck and kept it there. Luna summoned a dark sword crafted from shadows that seemed to move even while it was held in place and she touched it to Nights neck and spoke. All the while the two stared in each others eyes not blinking.

"For showing the determination to defend others at the risk of loosing your own life, the bravery to stand for what you believe to be just even in the face of unbeatable odds and the will to stand against all who wish harm upon Equestria's subjects I hear by grant you the title of prince. Arise and carry your title with nobility prince Night Shadow." Luna finished but before she moved the sword Night spoke up.

"For staring death in the face and not wavering you have earned my respect. From now on until one of us dies I shall hear and truly listen to your opinion on any matter. I will not obey but at the very least I shall listen which is more then I would do for most." Night said in a deep strong voice as he withdrew his spear from Luna's neck.

It took Luna a few seconds to process what she had heard but then she un-summoned the sword and Night rose to his feet. Luna then looked at the guards until she found the unmistakable visage of Vibrant Arts.

"Miss Arts is there a griffin establishment within Canterlot which serves meat? I did read that we assimilated what was left of the griffin empire after the war." Luna asked as she looked at Arts who was still stunned from the ceremony.

"Y-Yes princess Luna there are 3 in total why do you ask? If I might ask." Arts relied when she came to.

"I am taking prince Night to lunch as an apology for breaking a promise I made and I would prefer if he can enjoy his favourite food. Or did you not notice how he devoured those manticores during his training." Luna said as a slight blush came to her cheeks.

"Then I would suggest the Hoofs and Claws it is the only establishment which serves to both ponies and griffin needs." Vibrant Arts said in her usual cheery voice as a smile appeared on her face.

"Then let it be so you shall show us the way, Night let us depart I am sure you are famished from your training we must discuss much of what has happened." Luna said in a commanding manner and the guards made way for the 3 to pass. As they were exiting the castle Night ordered one of the guards to find Fancy Pants and have him pay the bill that they would make in the Hoofs and Claws.

After Vibrant Arts showed the way she excused herself saying that she didn't wish to intrude and wished to train with her new wings. Luna and Night didn't question it as that would allow them to speak more freely without having to pretend to be in love. As the two ate Luna had a rather expensive salad as Night ordered the hydra specialty stake. They both drank the most expensive wine the restaurant had to order as Night had stated that since he was going to make use of his unlimited bits. As they ate they discussed what had happened after they had passed out.

By the end of their meal both were full and they had drank 10 bottles of wine. Night was feeling tired and Luna offered that she would teleport them back to the castle after they deal with the bill. Luckily at that point in time Fancy Pants walked into the restaurant and walked to the two slightly drunk creatures.

"Juusht int thimee Facyyyyyyyyyy as Celll-Celllllll as Tia has tolllld ya yooou are to handle my expenses." Night said as he almost fell from the table, making Luna giggle.

"Yes I will, that is why I am here." At hearing this a griffin waiter arrived presenting the bill. "3890 bits" Fancy yelled.

"Makeee it 4000 thhe serviceee wassssss greaat." Night said almost falling from his chair but the waiter caught him not wanting to loose the high tip.

Fancy Pants presented the waiter with a written check which the royal treasury will exchange for 4000 bits with grinding teeth.

"Thank you for your patronage prince Night Shadow princess Luna. Please come again." The griffin said with a smile before he left the table.

"Excellent now let us goooo." Luna said but fell to the ground as she tried to get up. "Doesn't matter I can teleport even like this." Luna said as her horn lit up and she and Night disappeared leaving Fancy Pants standing alone at the table.

The two reappeared in Luna's bed with Night in between her hooves as she was laying on her right side her wings engulfing night from both sides as a tight blanket not letting him move.

"Luuuuuuunnna." Night said as he turned to see Luna's sleeping face he attempted to struggle but his training and the wine eventually made him pass out in Luna's soft embrace.
