Chapter-47 A third alicorn[Edited]

It had been a week since Luna grounded Celestia. After the whole day of searching for hobbies ended in a complete failure with a few new restrictions made for Night by the owners of a few music shops as well as other places Luna showed him the castles forge and had the head metalworker show him the ropes. Night had taken to it with great vigour spending every second he could at the forge learning the craft. The only exception to this was the mornings which Luna insisted that he spend befriending Celestia. Celestia had actually expressed her annoyance to her sister as Night's presence was disturbing her reading.

"Well sister since you have not fought with Night in the last week and it was just a misunderstanding you may attend tonight's gala if you handle the royal greeting."-Luna said smiling

"While I am happy that I would not miss Cadance's visit would you not consider helping me with the greeting." Celestia asked hopefully.

" No sister this is your punishment and I am hoping to spend the gala with Night earning the trust you broke so you can't refuse. Also who is this Cadance and why is her attendance of such importance?" Luna said now curious at the new name.

"I didn't told you? She is an alicorn like us. She was born after your banishment so I really should have told you earlier but now that you know you should definitely meet her." Celestia said sheepishly.

"I shall make sure to meet her then as you greet the late arrivals Tia ." Luna said sounding annoyed.

Night and Luna arrived to the gala after all the guests had arrived. Night was in his complete suit with his skirt and Luna had even convinced him to wear a tie. They had discussed their plan in detail under Nights insistence and would begin it as soon as they greeted Celestia. The orchestra could be heard as they saw Celestia standing where Luna had stationed her.

"Hello sister we are just greeting you before we go and dance together." Luna said happily as she nuzzled Celestia Night standing to the side.

"I will not dance with you Luna." Night said calmly shocking both Celestia and Luna.

"WE WILL DANCE TOGETHER. RIGHT NIGHT?" Luna said as she recovered from the shock first.

"Y-yes l-lets g-go d-dance t-together." Night said trough gritted teeth

"Well then I suppose we shall leave you to your greetings sister. I need to go before he changes his mind again. I swear he is so indecisive." Luna said as if she had done noting wrong.

"Wait sister you just " Celestia began but Luna and Night were already gone and she was faced with the next pony in line to greet her.

As Night and Luna entered the ball room everyone watched and admired them as Night's suit complimented Luna's dress perfectly.

The ponies made way for them as the two walked to the dance floor and as a new piece began they started dancing Luna resting her front hoofs as well as most of her weight on Night as he used his magic to make her lighter. The ponies stopped and observed as the odd couple danced silent whispers the only thing heard trough the ballroom aside then the orchestra. As the piece ended Luna put her front hoofs on the ground as Night shook his head.

"You DID IT again. I was a fool to trust you. Whatever feeling I had for you are gone." Night said as he used his magic to force Luna to the ground before he headed for the gardens all the ponies running to get out of his path.

"No I-I just really wanted to dance. I didn't, didn't realize it." Luna said as she cried her horn lit undoing the spell cast on her. Once she was done she teleported and snuggled under Celestia's left wing hiding her muzzle.

"What did he say sister?" Celestia asked wanting to comfort her sister.

" He said that any feelings he had for me were gone now. I-I betrayed his trust Tia betrayed him. And now he hates me." Luna said weakly still crying.

"Ah Cadance please come here my sister needs your help." Celestia said as she saw the pink alicorn.

"Uhm what is the matter auntie Celestia? Is that your sister the one I have heard so much about?" Cadance asked as she noticed the hiding form of Luna under Celestia's wing.

"She is and you can be properly introduced later but for now please give Luna some advise. She accidentally used magic to force the one she loves to do something he didn't wish to do and because of that he said that he has no feelings for her anymore." Celestia said frantically as Luna continued to cry under her wing.

"I well, I could see why he would act that way." Cadance said but continued as she saw Celestia's angry face. "But I am sure he still loves you princess Luna just confront him and apologize until he agrees to give you another chance I will even join you for some courage since I can see that you are too afraid to speak to him alone right now." Cadance finished relaxing at seeing Celestia giving her a smile.

"You heard her sister her special talent is love so I am sure she is right so stop crying and go and speak with Night he still loves you." Celestia said as she lifted her wing from Luna and used it to push her towards Cadance. Luna was reluctant, clearly disliking the idea but complied.

As Night walked into the garden he noticed a farmiliar pegasus.

"Hello again Flutershy have you worked on bettering yourself since last we met?" Night said starling Flutershy as she jumped and hid in a bush. It took some time but then she spoke quietly.

"Well yes but not exactly uhm where is princess Luna I thought the two of you would be together troughout the gala." As she said this the bush trembled.

"She has lost my affection, becuse she used magic to force me to do someting. How can I trust her again and again when she always breaks her word?" Night said coldly. {Luna never told me what to do after the dance. The gardens were supposed to be empty. I hope I am convincing.}

"Byt you looked so happy together you shouldn't let this ruin your happiness." Flutershy protested from the bush quietly before she saw Luna behind Night and went silent.

"Uhm Night I know that what I did was wrong and I am sorry b-but please g-give me another chance, give us a chance." Luna said hesitantly fear writen on her face. {Please realize that I am being forced to do this. Please just refuse so we can end this charade.}

"Luna?" Night said as he turned and his eyes met Luna's he felt as if he wanted to make her happy to be with her. " Yes of course I will give us another chance. I love you Luna." As he said this Luna's fearful expresion turned to a smiling one. {What am I doing this is wrong but it feels so right it makes me feel so happy.}

"I Love you too Night." Luna said as she embraced Night in a hug. {No I can't think straight. All I can think about is wanting to be with him.}

"Lets go and dance you did say you wanted to do that and I want to make you happy." Night said as he put one arm over Luna's neck and the two walked back in the ball room.

{Those two trust each other and care for one another so completely. Even when their relationship was so strained my magic was this effective and I didn't even use that much magic. A good thing too, I am fairly certain that Celestia would kill me if I made her sister mount Night. Well it should be fine for now the spell seems to make them contempt at simply being together and it will wear of in half an hour or so and then they can sort of their problems while the memory of how much they love each other is fresh in their minds.} Cadance thought from her hiding spot behind one tree before she headed back to the gala.
