Chapter-46 Sister talk[Edited]
"Sister it is time for your sun to make way for my night sky." Luna said as she appeared in Celestia's room with a visibly tired yet somewhat content look on her face..
"Luna." Celestia screamed happily as she jumped on her tired sister and embraced her in a slightly choking hug.
"What has possessed you sister? We spoke just yesterday." Luna said a bit hesitantly when she managed to get free from her sister strangling hold.
"Oh sorry sister but I have stayed here, in my room, for the entire day, with no books and neither the guards nor the servants could speak to me as they were too concerned that they were unworthy of the honour. I mean I did have Night Shadow to speak to in the morning but he has some rather unique questions. And my mistreatment of him didn't really help. But I didn't use my magic on him sister. I am learning so can I at least have a few books at least." Celestia said at speeds that were hard to follow.
"Calm down sister first lower your sun and then we can discuss everything that has happened today."-Luna said in a motherly voice.
"Yes of course the sun." Celestia said in her frantic voice as she turned to a window and used more force then needed to force the sun to fall beneath the horizon at a surprising speed. "Do you wish help with rising the moon sister?" Celestia continued.
"Can you actually do a proper job this time? I do not have the energy to fix another disastrous night sky." -Luna said accusingly.
"I suppose it will be better if you did it I do not wish to risk inconveniencing you especially after your long day." Celestia said sheepishly.
As Luna concentrated on the little details of the night sky Celestia fidgeted around her but kept quiet. The second Luna had finished she found herself on Celestia's bed. as Celestia stared into her eyes. Celestia's bed was truly too big for her.
"So sister what did you do today?" Celestia asked Luna who was a bit surprised.
"Well there was Night court, and then there were the "negotiations" with the minotaur ambassador." Upon hearing this Celestia frowned a little.
"Uhm Luna how are the negotiations going? If you don't mind me asking that is." Celestia said with a hint of worry.
"They are over although it wasn't much of a negotiation." Luna said calmly
"What? I knew it, it was too soon to burden you with ruling again. May I leave my room so that I can fix this agreement to one that is more favourable to our ponies?" Celestia said hopeful.
"You may not. And considering that we got 20% of the estimated value of goods coming in while giving only 5% to the minotaurs I believe that it will merely dissuade traders if we barter for more." Luna said angry with her sisters remark.
"2-20% but how? What did you do?" Celestia asked curious.
"I allowed prince Night Shadow to have a friendly spar with the minotaur. After which the minotaur's attitude became a little bit more agreeable. Speaking of which, what is your opinion of Night Shadow?"- Luna said with a smirk on her face.
"M-my opinion? Well he askes unnerving questions, has no respect for royalty with the exception of you but I suspect that's more of him loving you them respecting your title." Celestia began but caught herself as she saw Luna's look.
"But he has proven to me that he will not hurt our subjects its merely his beliefs that need a slight adjustment. So uhm, I suspect you do not wish me to meddle anymore but can you at least tell me if Night did in fact forgive you for my misconduct?" Celestia said in a slightly shaky voice.
"Yes his upbringing is a problem. Can you believe he had not seen a play before today?" Luna asked in a disbelieving voice.
'Wait so you went to see a play together? Could you tell me what the play was about? Just the two of you? You are bolder then I thought sister, please refrain from letting him mount you until you are married at the very least." Celestia said in a playful manner as her sister turned a purple hue and averted her eyes from Celestia.
"I would never, that is to say uh. I don't know what the play was about." Luna said as she lowered her head expecting the onslaught of Celestia's teasing.
"So you did that in the theatre? Did Night force himself on you?" Celestia asked in an angry manner.
"Calm down sister. I can not tell you what the play was about because Night got us both kicked out before the first act was over. He was enjoying it and particularly enjoyed the personality of one of the characters. Unfortunately the character got killed and Night decided to avenge his death attacking the other actor. I managed to stop him before he did any harm but the audience did not appreciate the abrupt disruption." As Luna said she became darker shades of purple as Celestia started laughing unable to contain her amusement.
"I-I see so what else did you do with Night once you could no longer observe the play?" Celestia asked through her laughter.
"Well we were searching for Nights new hobby so we tested out music. Which reminds me don't let him near a trumpet or you would regret it Celestia. I might even have nightmares about it." Luna said shivering at the memory.
"S-surely t-there must be something more I mean you had so much time and considering what you've told me I am quite curious." Celestia said barely containing her self from falling off of her enormous bed from laughing. Luna was quiet for a while before she turned to Celestia with a serious look.
"Sister would it be possible for a forge to be made within the Castle? Night has expressed a desire to attempt to learn the craft." Luna said weekly.
"Yes we actually already have a forge. It is the reason why I moved the castle aside from the view from the very top of the mountain." Celestia said calming down.
"You would not question what he would make? Or worry that he might use those tools to harm our ponies?" Luna asked surprised.
"Of course not, what is the point, he has proven himself capable of defeating the guard while using odd weapons. Maybe if he actually had his own weapon he could defend himself more easily. At any rate I am in no position to fight your decision regardless what you choose Luna." -Celestia said resigned.
"Sister I would allow you to read books and if I find nothing better for Night's hobby I shall show him the forge, however I will keep sending Night over and I want your word that you will try to make up I can't stand to see you two fight." Luna said as a single tear found its way down her muzzle and on to the bed sheets.
"I will do my best Luna." Celestia said but was met by Luna's sleeping form. As Celestia still couldn't leave her room she smiled then layed next to Luna and draped one wing over her to keep her warm.
