Night was growing more and more worried. It had been over an hour from when he saw anyone. He was in a big room with a single large bed a long couch with a crystal table in front of it, a fireplace and a massive window wall that led to a balcony. There were also tree closed doors but as he was told attempting to leave this room would result in his death he could only hope that someone would come soon and tell him where the bathroom is. Then with a blinding flash of light the mare he was bound to appeared before him. His body needs were instantly pushed to the back of his mind as a fury of questions escaped his lips in rapid succession.

"Would I ever be free? Where am I? What are you? What is this magic? Why did you take my name from me? For what purpose did you bring me here? What is your name? What will be our sleeping arrangements? Can you lead me to a restroom? Will we be fed? Would we need to fight our way out of this fortress? Will you ever control me with your words again? Can I arm myself with weapons or am I to remain defenceless?"-Night asked all these questions before the light of the teleportation was gone. He tried to keep his mind on the most pressing questions as trying to ask all the questions he had would take a lot of time and he was getting tired. After all less then a day ago he was free for the first time in his life and then he was brought to a new land and bound to servitude.

Luna was startled and fell backwards away from the barrage of questions. She had barely heard any of them but the first one was clear. Even thou she didn't want to repeat her answer she had an obligation to tell him if not for she had said then for the injustice she did towards him.

"Thee shall know the freedom of acting on thy own wishes and desires bound only by law. Thee will never know the freedom of travel as thy are bound to us and we are bound to this county and its ponies. Thee shall also be granted the freedom of knowledge and encouraged to pursue it. We have already told thee as much. We would also ask that you repeat thy questions one at a time." -Luna said trying to sound reassuring.

{Well at least I know she remembers her promise} "Where am I?"- Shadow asked the voice of urgency disappeared from his tone.

"You are in Canterlot the capital of Equestria the biggest country in all of Equss," - Luna said confidently in her knowledge.

"That tells me noting but for now what are you?"- Night said with slight annoyance in his voice.

"What does thou mean" Luna began to ask but was stopped by a deadly glare. "Uhum We are a pony of the alicorn variety or if you were asking for our gender we are a mare."- Luna said a slight blush of embarrassment on her face at being forced to state her gender

{So they do have males. And their species is pony not mare} "What is magic and is that why an animal such as yourself is capable of speech?"- {Since I was forced to act against my will by magic I should learn as much as I can about it}

"Magic is a conscious force that has no physical body. The exception to that rule being the manifestation of chaotic magic known as Discord. Some form of magic exists everywhere and every creature is predisposed to some forms of magic over others based on their body and state of mind. There are tree ways a magic manifests passive, toggle and active. And no we do not require magic to be capable of speech! And What does thou mean an animal as ourselves?"-Luna said with a clearly angry tone.

{I must calm her down or risk loosing my only source of information}" I am sorry I didn't mean to insult, its just that where I come from all creatures except my species were animals driven by instinct. But that is of no consequence for now would you tell me why you took my name from me?"- Night said with his gentlest and most apologetic tone

"Thy apology is accepted and we shall speak of thy origins later on. As for the purpose of taking thy name from thee the bond between us is an unbreakable door and thy true name is the only key, We are sure that our sister would discover this and attempt to break our bond. Thy would most likely be executed if that were to happen as the bind gives our sister some control over thee and without it she would be forced to either send thee from whence thou came or execute thee. And only ourself knows of the magical elements and the power used in thy summoning as such only we can send thee back but without the bond we shall without a doubt be banished. We would wish to say that thee will one day be freed from this bond, but the bond grows in strength and as the task before us is likely to take years it is more likely then not that the bond will persist until the day of thy demise."-Luna said in a calm and calculating voice. "Oh make no mistake we shall return thy name to thee once our sisters attempt at breaking the link fails, under the condition that thee keeps the name Night Shadow with all but ourself of course."

Night just listened unsure of how much of what he was hearing was true. Until he decided that his best choice is to go along with his captor plans and attempt to complete them before the bond becomes too strong to break. "You spoke of a task one that would take years what is it? Also your terms regarding my name are acceptable."

"Thou seem used to this. We would like an explanation as to why once we have answered thy questions. As for the task before us we are to pressure our sister into realizing that her complete management of our subjects lives are holding their advances in culture and technology. We must gather allies and earn the peoples trust but to do that we must learn of what has changed in the time of our banishment and thee must learn our language as soon the spell that was cast on thee would run out and it would be dangerous to cast it repeatedly."- Luna said as nonchalantly as she could. Not wanting to pressure her ally with the dawning task before them.

"Why don't we kill your sister? It would be faster and...."-Night began to say calmly but was interrupted by a booming voice.

"THOU SHALL NOT PERSIST THESE THOUGHTS OR THEE WILL FIND THYSELF IN A MOST DREADFULL PREDICAMENT"-Luna yelled strengthening her voice with magic, completely forgetting that with that much volume everyone within the castle could hear her and that included her sister.

In less then 5 seconds Celestia appeared within the room and 25 seconds after that guards broke trough one of the 3 doors spears pointing forward.

"What is wrong sister? What has the creature done?"- Celestia asked pointing her horn at Night Shadow preparing to destroy the offending creature.

Night backed away startled first by the deafening shout and then scared by the glowing horn that was beginning to emit heat so strong that his skin was beginning to burn. Luna was first startled by her sisters sudden appearance but was shook from it when a scorching pain covered her body.{I have to stop her before she kills him}

"Wait sister stop!"-Luna said as she jumped between her sister and Night

Celestia stopped the instant her sister was in her path not wanting to harm her. "Why did you stop me sister? Did Night not harm you? Is that not why you yelled so loudly?"

Luna was happy that her sister cared so much for her that she dropped everything and attempted to help her, but that left her with a problem she had to come up with a reason for her yell that would match her words. In her panic all she could do is be vague and buy as much time as she could to come up with a lie her sister would buy.

"Uhm no sister he did not harm us in any way. We were merely speaking and uhm the conversation took a path towards uhm more personal matters." -Luna said stopping wherever she could and lengthening her words as she could.

Celestia was frozen in place until she heard armour chattering behind her and immediately said in a commanding tone.
"You heard my sister this is a personal matter. Leave and don't you dare listen or I will strip you of any property you possess."

The guards hurried to exit the room as Celestia watched her sister. Did this diamond dog truly think he had a chance with her and why had her sister spoken with so much hesitation surely she hadn't entertained the thought. But if Luna had entertained the thought should she encourage it or should she prevent it. It is improper but if it made her sister happy could she truly deny her that after condemning her to solitude for 1000 years? No she was not sure that this was the case. She would ask for confirmation.

"Sister when you say personal matter did you mean that Night was smitten with you? That should not be enough reason for you to summon the entire castle guard since you are beautiful and it is not that surprising for someone to admire you. So tell me sister what did this dog do so that I can bring justice upon him?"- Celestia said all the while glaring daggers at Night Shadow

Luna was relived she was given an excuse for her outburst. It was indecent but she couldn't think of a better excuse and her sister seemed like she would kill Night if she doubts her words even a little she had to speak now.

"No sister we were merely speaking. Thou were right as to what the conversation entailed. We are sorry but the topic was brought up so suddenly and, uhm we panicked."- Luna said slightly blushing as she imagined the implications of what she was saying. She was brought back to reality by a pained moan coming from behind her. As she turned she saw the now scorched Night Shadow. She was immediately greeted by the pain that her panic had suppressed. " Sister I beg thee to heal him we feel his pain as he feels ours."- Luna said falling to her stomach from the pain.

"Yes of course I am sorry sister I forgot that such a bond existed in my wish to protect you, I will heal him right away." - Celestia said as she healed Night. { So my sister does care for him. Regardless how surprised she was that yell was most likely heard at the edges of Canterlot. Perhaps she is afraid of rejection duo to the misfortune he had to suffer because of her and now because of my brash actions he suffered more and my sister would without a doubt blame herself for it. I will fix this I will give my sister the opportunity to pursue her love interest. When she feels she could speak with me about it I will tell her to confess and if this mongrel dares make her cry I will imprison him and make him beg for death.}

Once Celestia had finished healing Night she took her past out sister in her magic and placed her in the bed tugging her in to make sure she doesn't get a cold. Next she turned to Night Shadow and using her magic she took him trough the door on the left from the entrance to the room into a smaller room which was usually used by the servants of visiting dignitaries. She tossed him into the bed receiving a pained moan, then Celestia made her way back to her sisters room locking Nights door. taking the key and placing it on the crystal table. She then summoned a scroll and wrote:

Dear sister
This key is for the door on the left of the entrance.
You will find Night Shadow there. I healed him but both of you passed out.
I must attend to my duties but feel free to come and speak to me about any of your concerns.
I would really enjoy it if you and Night Shadow dine with me once you awaken merely ask a guard to show you the way to the royal dinning table

With that done Celestia left the room a small smile on her muzzle. "Sleep tight Luna"

Dam it I actually wanted to end the questions this chapter. Sorry for everyone who was hopping for the same
