Night Shadow awoke in a smaller room then the one he passed out in. Gasping for air he breathed heavily for a few minutes before he could calm down from his near death experience. He never thought that the horned ponies had such power at their disposal, or is it just Celestia and Luna since they had both horns and wings. {Whatever the case I will have to find a way to defend myself against magic if I am to survive assisting the one I am bound to.}

After his breathing was steady Night decided that he should get up. He still had a lot of questions. As Night was getting up he noticed that his skin was pealing from him and his throat was dry and h was feeling dizzy and a barf was coming up in his throat. He knew these symptoms well he was dehydrated. It was not painful just disorientating. He had to find something to drink soon before he passed out as it was dangerous to be unconscious in this state. He looked around but there was no liquid in sight so he hurried to the only door and tried to open it. The door didn't budge so he decided to try to break the door open worst case scenario he would be forced to fight a horned pony and get himself killed. In his mind that was at least slightly better then falling unconscious and dying in his vomit. If he fell while fighting he would know that he did everything he could to live.

Night backed up to the wall opposite the door and jumped from it. (This room was a lot smaller then the one he had passed out in it only had one bed and a small window with curtains) With the force from the jump he aimed his legs at the door knobs and prepared for the pain to come when he falls on his back. The door knobs were held his momentum for a hundred of a second but he immediately convulsed his legs and jumped backwards from the doorknobs. He hit the back of his head on the wall before his back hit the floor. The pain took the air from his lungs but once he came to his senses he heard a worried voice.

"Are you okay? What is wrong with you? How can I help you?"

Luna awoke in a comfortable bed. She was hungry and a little dizzy. What had happened? When did she fall asleep? Then it all came back to her screaming , Celestias instant teleportation and attack of Night, how she deceived her sister and finally Nights scorched body and the pained moan he let out. As the memories came back to her she jumped up from her bed worried for Night. That was a bad idea as her dizziness forced her to fall back on the bed and caused the world to spin.
She didn't truly need him anymore now that she was supposedly reformed by the elements but she would never forgive herself if she caused so much pain to an intelligent creature and in the end killed it with her temper. The fact that he had readily agreed with everything she told him not arguing or complaining about her actions merely asking for clarification on his task didn't ease her guilt any. {No he cant be death our sister wouldn't let him die, would she?}

Luna received her answer in the form of the noise of metal hitting marble. That noise was followed by a pain in her head that was almost immediately forgotten as a much stronger pain covered her entire back.{Must ignore the pain. Make sure he doesn't die not like this not because of us.}

As Luna repeated those thoughts in her mind she shakily got up to her hoofs and walked trough the broken door. The pain was disappearing but worry was beginning to run trough her mind as she saw Night laying on the ground twitching every now and again.

"Are thou okay? What is wrong with thee? How can we aid thee?"- Luna said with worry.

"Water."-Night said with a weak voice.

Luna instantly picked him up in her magic and sprinted into her room. In the past all rooms for important ponies included a servant quarters and a private bathroom. Knowing this and remembering where the guards came from earlier she rushed into the last remaining door. She was pleased that not everything had changed since her banishment. Without a second thought she put him in the bathtub and turned up the cold water pressure.

Night was jolted awake and instantly began drinking the water choking but continuing to drinking as if the moment he stopped he would die. Luna noticed that some of his skin was washed away from him. It didn't look like it was dangerous but it was disgusting enough that the night princess averted her gaze. This continued for almost 2 minutes at which point Night barfed and spat out clear water into the tub stepped outside of it and spoke.

"Thank you I thought I would die for a second there"-Night said water dripping everywhere from his clothes.

"What does thou mean die? Diamond dogs are notoriously famous for being able to go for months without water."-Luna said confused

"That must be very good for them but my species is human and we can barely survive 3 days without water and Celestia evaporated almost enough water to kill me."- Night said matter of fact.

Luna was torn between horror and curiosity. In the end her curiosity won out.
"Human? Thou must tell us more of thy country and thy species so that such problems do not arise again."-Luna said with a tone suggesting a treat.

"As I remember it this particular problem was brought about thanks to your outburst to my logical question."- Night answered annoyance and anger clear in his voice.

As Luna heard those words she almost used her magic on him for mentioning his intent to kill her sister so casually but then calmed herself and remembered that he didn't say he would do it he was merely asking why shouldn't they take that path of action. Furthermore she had already indirectly almost caused his death for it. Then she remembered that her sister now believes that Night loves the night princess. She had to convince him to act along and pretend as she couldn't bring herself to use magic to force him to do it after all the pain she had caused him.

"Night we need thou to pretend to be in love with us so that our sister doesn't suspect our plan." Luna said blushing a bit at the thought of what she was saying. "We are prepared to grant thee one request ,within reason of course "

Night thought{ Why did she not merely use her magic to force me? Regardless this might be my chance. She wouldn't release me from the bond but she might give me a means to protect myself against magic}
"Very well I would do as you have requested, but I wish for a way to defend myself against magic."

"Surely thou jests or perhaps thou does not understand thy request? Only magic can defend against magic! We do not even know to what affinity of magic thy belongs. Furthermore non-horned magic users run the risk of self destruction each time their magic is used as they have no solid outer limb to channel their magic trough. And "-Luna began to argue but was cut off.

"You asked for the price and confirmed that it is possible. Would you go back on your word?"-Night asked with disgust in his eyes

Luna backed away in fear her foal body making Night even more intimidating then before.
"No if that is truly what it would take then we shall begin instructing thee once our powers have returned to us. Thee may not care for thy safety but we would not risk teaching such techniques without a means of protecting ourselfs and our subjects."
-Luna said with a snotty voice trying to hide the fact that she was afraid of Night.

"Say what you will I must learn. There are none who can defeat me in the art of wielding weapons. And for one such as me to be at the mercy of another merely for my lack of knowledge in magic is unsettling. Regardless since I am to court you I would request knowledge of your name." -Night doing his best to imitate Luna's voice.

"Wait thy does not know our name?" Luna said and thought for a second realizing that in fact she had never introduced herself to Night. "Yes well our name is Luna and we are the princess who governs the night. Also thee are most boastful to claim that thy has no equal in the wielding of weapons. Surely thee would not mind a demonstration of thy skills."-Luna said smirking knowing that Night would back from her challenge.

"If it would amuse you I would demonstrate my prowess against any number of enemies with a weapon of your choosing my beloved. After all I am to court you and demonstrating my skill in protecting you would be a good start would it not? Naturally I request only that my opponents are forbidden from using magic since I have yet to gain a defence against it. As for a reward how about you travel with me to some places throughout the lands"-And with those words Luna's smirk transferred to Nights face.

"Yes we would speak with our sister on this matter when next we meet her. But should thy lose we would have a free boon to ask of thee,"- Luna said grinning.

Also is it just me or am I writing a Luna that cant make up her mind on what she want?
