As the wrath of the darkspore, the plague of the universe, continues to ravage and consume planet after planet, the creator of these monsters, the Corruptor, sets his ever hungry gaze upon a small, innocent and out-of-site planet, called Equus. Thinking this would be an easy picking, he sets loose several of his creations on Equus.

However, this did not go by unnoticed, as several of the darkspore heroes were also dispatched onto Equus to do what they do best: seek out an annihilate the darkspore threat.

But upon their arrival, the heroes will be forced to cooperate with the 'local' heroes, the mane 6, less they wish for a free trip to the sun.
