Book 2: Conflict Arises

Ponyville is as peaceful as it was during their previous adventure. Twilight and Sunset ventured into the main street of Ponyville where it’s the most populated. Following behind them on rooftops camouflaged by the elements of the environment and nature was Piercing Dart and Golden Arrow.

However, they were alerted when they spotted a certain pink pony quickly making her way towards Twilight and Sunset.

“TWILIGHT SPARKLE AND SUNSET SHIMMER!!!” Pinkie yelled rushing towards them.

Without time to react Golden shot an arrow at the pink pony. Pinkie didn’t see it coming it and it struck her on her left foreleg completely incapacitating the mare. The arrow, while straight through was a standard flint tip arrow. However when the arrow hit Pinkie it pierced through her foreleg ripping skin and cutting the veins, arteries, and muscles of her leg only leaving a trail of blood and some tissue extracting from the wound.

Piercing Dart looked at Golden Arrow, Golden had his bow drawn ready for the second shot but he lowered it once Pinkie went down.

“Amazing shot rookie, but I think you did more than just incapacitate her.” Piercing squinted his eyes to see the scene at hoof. Golden definitely destroyed her leg with that arrow.

Sunset and Twilight rushed to her aid, Sunset surrounding her in a medical bubble similar to the one she put Rainbow in when she broke her wing when they officially met.

Twilight tried her best to remove the arrow but no luck the only pony to do that is Golden.

She then turned to Sunset her expression was nothing but anger, “Bring them here now!” Sunset nodded looking for Piercing and Golden.

Golden looked at Sunset trying to scope them out. “I think they’re looking for us.”

“You guessed right rookie.” Piercing exclaimed walking towards Sunset. Golden followed him bow drawn.

Once Sunset spotted them she ran over to them giving them a heads up before they faced Twilight. “Just letting you know you took down an element bearer. That was the Element of Laughter. Her name is Pinkie Pie but you both sort of took the initiative of she was trying to attack us. While I thank you two for doing what you did, Twilight doesn’t find that the slightest bit of amusing.” Both nodded in understanding.

They went to Twilight who looked at them as if she was trying to harm them with her eyes but they weren’t fazed since Sunset gave them the warning.

“Do you know what you two did!?” Golden made the arrow disappear then spoke.

“We only did what we are tasked to do, which is to protect you and Princess Sunset. We thought that she was going to attack you the way she was running towards you. We are sorry for attacking an Element Bearer, but again we serve to protect you two so it was in defense.” Piercing said.

“Well, I’m glad to see that you two can defend us from such a distance but bear in mind that there are 6 Element Bearers. She is one of them as am I. So unless we call for you then don’t proceed with an attack okay?” Twilight was calming down.

“Yes ma’am…” They said in unison.

Once Sunset and Twilight healed Pinkie Pie of all wounds they looked behind them to see if both Piercing and Golden were there but just like before they were gone the instant they turned their backs. Twilight facehoofed. “Those two will be the death of me.” Sunset laughed at Twilight’s sorrow.

“They did me a favor.” Sunset commented receiving yet another slap to the back of the head.

“Bad Sunset.” Twilight said annoyed.

“That felt good Twilight hit me again.” Sunset said seductively.

Twilight’s wings sprouted out and a tinted red blush appeared on her face. “No…” is all she could mutter out.

Pinkie got up from the ground that the bubble dropped her off at. She wiggled her left front hoof to make sure she was okay. She had the biggest smile on her face that was both funny and sadistic at the same time. Both Twilight and Sunset backed up slowly walking away from the Pink Pony who had the smile still on her face.

Sunset glanced at Twilight then back to the path where they left Pinkie. “I stand corrected Twi, she's 100x more worse than I originally observed.”

Twilight gave a laugh as they went back to the castle. “This is one of those moments that Pinkie is just insane for the sake of being insane. It’ll pass…Whenever it does.”

Inside the castle, Golden and Piercing were already there sitting on both of their thrones. This didn’t anger the two mares, well not sunset, she found it funny but Twilight was annoyed beyond reasoning.

“Off you two and go back into the shadows. I’m going to take a nap from all of this. Wake me when it’s dinnertime or if Princess Celestia needs us.” Twilight said.

Sunset was about to tell them an order but she was being pulled by Twilight’s magic. “Twi. Twi. Twilight! You’re pulling me. Twilight! TWILIGHT!!!” Sunset was practically shrieking from being pulled along with Twilight by force.

“Guys a little help here.” She called out to Piercing and Golden who didn’t respond to her cries.

Golden answered for both of them. “We’re conflicted here. We will be going against our oath if we attack just one of you.” Sunset knew that they were right.

Twilight entered the room and put Sunset on the bed while she followed suit. Sunset wasn’t sure why she wanted her in the room but she didn’t bother arguing as she saw Twilight get under the covers and turn away from her.

Sunset slipped under the covers with her, embracing her while she slept. Sunset herself wasn’t tired but she didn’t like to see Twilight mad either. Twilight was still awake but her mind was somewhere else. She began to recall today’s events in a nutshell: Golden is the new Special Forces squad mate, Pinkie gets hit with an Arrow from Golden, and now she’s here laying with Sunset who was kissing her on her cheek and neck softly trying to ease her stress.

Twilight allowed her to do whatever she wanted to her. Sunset took that initiative and began to kiss down from her neck to the upper part of her wing. Sunset could easily tell that Twilight was really in deep thought because she would’ve reacted to what she was doing by now. But still Sunset took advantage of the situation and continued her work on Twilight. Unaware that both Piercing and Golden were listening in behind the door. “Are they under attack or something?” Golden asked getting ready to breach.

Piercing, Golden and Flash were all In the kitchen still counting the time as it went by.

“I got 4 minutes and 14 seconds.” Flash said.

“Same here.” Piercing exclaimed finishing up his juice.

“So no one won, damn I wanted to buy my girl something nice.” Flash said sitting down on a chair.

“But still, our Princesses had a fun time together. Expect to see more of that.” Piercing said putting his cup in the sink.

“Can’t wait…” Golden commented.
