This is Getting Weird..(Part 3)

It was glowing again, after almost 6 hours. You could easily hear a buzz coming from my backpack. "Page, I thought you didn't have a phone!" Lucy exclaimed. I mentally sighed in relief. She doesn't suspect anything!

"Oh, well, I'm borrowing one of my mom's old phones. You just, in case of an emergency." I responded smoothly. The buzz coming from the backpack signaled me to hurry up. "She must need me for something important now! I'll see you tomorrow!" I shouted quickly, carrying my backpack and running as fast as possible on the paved sidewalk. Lucky for me, my house was a few blocks away. As I stepped inside my house, the scent of cookies enveloped me. Mom's an artist, just like me, except she excells in the cooking area. Of course, she likes to experiment, which can lead to gross food with a side of almost death. I know how she works though, and I'd normally eat it anyway. Today though, I'm heading straight to the treehouse.

I quickly wave at my mom before running into the backyard. She looks so happy, I can't ruin her day by confirmimg possible insanity. Grabbing the ladder, I pull myself up along with my backpack. The pressure and weight of the school papers fall away as I quickly grab the glowing book. I shake it hard. "What are you trying to say?" I shout at the book, and throw it on the wooden floor. I quietly huff, crouching down to pick it up. That's when I notice a page is loose. I set the book down, and open it to the peeking page. It's the pony drawing I made this morning. What does a pink horse have to do with glowing? My fingers barely touch the drawing when the glow returns brighter than ever. It's getting too bright for my eyes. I quickly close the book, and light dims. *Now I won't be blind.*
