Chapters Where Magic Awakens Darkness in Canterlot High
Beep. Beep. Beep! The sounds of an everyday alarm clock, the capacitor screeching to wake up the owner, were always common around six-thirty in the morning. Within a cocoon-like wrapping of fabric extended a hand, slamming the ‘off’ button of the clock, olive skin pounding the snooze button as the hand now reached for a lamp on the nightstand, almost fumbling to find the switch. A few milliseconds, and the room was lit up, revealing basic dimensions of twelve feet by twelve feet. A common square room, stacked with boxes, two instrument cases that seemed to house a string instrument and a keyboard, and what seemed to be a bag with cords bundled inside of it. A soft, polyester carpet was what laid between cold hardwood floor and flesh of any who dared step off their bed. As the fabric unwrapped, a boy, looking rough for his age, sat up to yawn, arms stretching as a joint popped, signaling a wince followed by a sigh. Rough blue eyes pierced the veil of the room, scanning around as a small coffee table was spotted, holstering a cup that had the symbol of a well-loved franchise, NVidia, as well as other labels. The boy stood up, buzz-cut brown hair shining in the light of the desk lamp as a loose tank top seemed to drape down below his waist, covering his short jeans as he sighed.
“First move in over a decade,” the boy spoke, rubbing his head as he looked to the doorway. Now what was needed to start his day was coffee and a shower. “Perfect thing to happen to the only sixteen year old who doesn’t need any of those damn burdens of crowds.” The boy seemed to shudder as a voice called out; female, developed chords, and a tad scratchy, shouting his name.
“William!” called out his mother.
“Yo, I’m up! Just let me get a bit used to this weird house smell before you shove me on my way!” He seemed stern, but empathetic in his tone, because he knew what his mother feared about him doing; skipping school, possibly ditching, or even starting a brawl. As he stood up slowly, he could be seen to be a roughly above-average height of six feet. As William opened the highest box, he had reached in and grabbed a small stack of clothes, already prepared for this day per-say. In the stack was a single green polyester fabric shirt, extremely comfy and roomy for him, a pair of black jeans, and the usual pair of briefs. The next step was obvious, shower, and that consumed a brisk twenty minutes.
As William had exited the bathroom into the living room, his father had already put his coffee cup in the sink, and was heading out the door, sporting a few grey hairs, and a height of just under six feet, and darkened skin, almost a tan of its own. His father only parted with the words ‘Be careful today, and behave,’ as his father closed the front door, leaving the house as his mother was already in the kitchen, assorting china and silverware in cabinets and pots and pans along her respective cooking rack, which she owned for twenty years. A simple thing that William always enjoyed was watching the news in the middle of the morning, and with the click of a remote, he saw the basic thirty-two inch television flicker on as he parked on the couch opposite of the television, yawning as he sighed. His morning was made worse as he saw ‘No Signal’ blip across the screen, causing him to just get up as he walked to the kitchen.
“Ma, please tell me Canterlot County has some decent coffee in stock around these stores.” William was begging for this to be a yes, but seeing as this was a new territory to him entirely, he just kept his expectations low as his mother gave him a look.
“No, frankly, they do have some decent brands of their own, including Magic Bean.” She said, looking down in a grocery bag near the cabinets as she held the can up for him to examine. He simply shrugged.
“Is it already in the pot?”
“Yes, and it’s almost done brewing. Milk’s in the ice cooler, since our fridge won’t arrive until tomorrow.” A look shot through William’s eyes as he set his gaze upon what he deemed, ‘the mystical go-go juice giver.’ It seemed wonderful to him that it was some coffee, which was still better than none in his opinion. As he grabbed the pot, he sniffed the steam emanating from the pot. Nothing odd here, he thought. Simply grabbing the generic one-collar cup from the cabinet his mother placed it in, he poured, leaving room for milk as he placed the pot back. Opening the cooler was the best thing he could think of at the moment as he twisted the lid off of the milk jug, and poured it into his cup, only to return the cap and jug back to their original place as he stared at the wonder of caffeine and milk.
Within seconds, the warm drink was going down, waking William up with warmth and a shot of energy as he placed his coffee cup in the sink, returning upstairs to gather necessary items as he planned his day out. He seemed to be happy, or for the most, appreciated his coffee, as he walked right up the stairs to his room, looking around.
“Now where did I toss that schedule?” William parsed, taking a moment to think as he remembered falling asleep with the paper as he seemed to gain an idea, and snapped his fingers instantly, getting on his knees as he looked under his bedframe. There it lay, in front of his face, CHS’s schedule that had his classes sorted out. Seemed fair enough, but did they transfer his recommended class transcript? It seemed they nailed all his desired classes to the schedule: Computer Sciences, Advanced Writing, Geometry, and lunch, his absolute favorite if it were a class, then the last half of his day being Basic Art, Study Hall, and Chemistry. However, a phone sounded off, a heavy metal blast of chunks followed by an extremely masculine ‘Ring-Ring.’ On the phone flashed a number, which read out the area code where he used to live. Not one to be held back by memories or oppressive crowds, he simply hung up on the call, the time readout at the top corner showing seven fifty in the morning.
As he knew that the school would be but a few blocks away, William laced up a pair of running shoes he had owned for a month now, which still looked decent, as he looked to the corner of his room. In that corner sat a generic brand heavy-duty carrying backpack for a laptop, which was surrounded by plastic inside, and extra room for books and the likes. It was a simple thing he could do at the moment to just shake his head, trying to clear his mind from what was trying to flip back as he opened a side pouch to his backpack, pulling out a single set of earphones and plugging them to his phone as he slung the bag over his shoulders, looking up as an orchestral suite started to play. Soft piano notes in the background complimented a chorus of low, but empowered vocals as strings joined in, bringing tension upon the song almost as if there was a sadness to be held, only for it to take a turn in tempo and style, which was when William began to move, towards the front door as he looked over at the oak wood rack, and dropped his bag softly, slipping on a thin, sleek black leather jacket with unbuttoned sleeves, and returned his bag back to the normal position on his body, one strap on, one strap off as he opened the door, and the crisp air greeted him in the Fall time that was currently drowning out the last remnants of Summer’s warmth. Just the way he liked. With a single step outside, and his music beginning to change, he began his walk down the street, the sun’s rays greeting the day with a joyous presence as he looked downwards of the street.
Thirty minutes. He could make it. He knew it. Kinda.
Where Magic Awakens Darkness in Canterlot High
It was a walk that turned into a sprint, almost instantly as William had exited his house. Earphones popped out, and he had thirty minutes. He just decided to go right ahead, and not risk being tardy and smudging his untarnished record, especially on his first day going to a new school in unfamiliar territory. But things around hit him strange. Posters that decreed ‘Wondercolts are the best,’ and ‘Wondercolts will bring it,’ seemed to spark a bit of intrigue in his mind, as well as the few people walking around. Such hairstyles made them look like walking art, and the smiling around here, whether soft or large, seemed to give him a creep. Ignoring the waves of countless people, walk signs, and music which blasted through a white and blue car that passed, he focused more on the fate of his arrival at hand. Turning sharply to avoid people, twisting his torso to keep from knocking things out of their hands, and ducking to avoid the distracted music lovers who walked the streets, his body looking like it was contorting as he did, even though running among masses was common for him, especially at the parties in his last county, running was the only way to make an exit.
The blocks seemed huge here, and he decided to stop, panting and gasping for air as he looked up. Coffee shop was the first thing he saw, printed on a sign, with the local logo on the bottom resembling that of a horse. Wondercolts? He just decided to shrug this off as he went inside. Coffee had already run through him as he stepped inside, greeted by a middle aged lady staring at the door from the counter, which was accompanied by a bell ringing. As he walked towards the counter, looks from a few people at the table, and a female with the same pink hairdo waved to him. Ignoring this action, he merely approached the counter, and held out a five.
“Well what can I getcha today, stranger?” The lady said, offering a soft smile as she held out a hand. “Mrs. Cake, pleased to make yer acquaintance.”
“Oh, uh, yes. Coffee. It’s nice to meet you Mrs. Cake.” He said, forking over the five as he looked back. Others were staring at him, and simply acted normal when he looked back. Expected.
“Well I can’t give ya a proper coffee if I don’t know yer name,” the lady said with a smile, placing the money in the cash register as she handed him back change, a dollar and a few cents.
“William. William Patrick.” The boy said as he shrugged.
“Well, glad to have someone new around here.” She said, handing him a nice sized cup, Styrofoam of course, with a plastic grip around it as he simply took it with a nod.
“Thanks,” he parsed, putting the change on the table as he turned to walk outside. Once again, in the corner table, the younger girl with the pink hairstyle waved. He simply nodded to her, acknowledging the action as he pulled the door back, holding his coffee in his left hand as he stepped outside, and took a sip. Almost instant pain surged through his mouth as he yelped, only to swallow the boiling hot coffee. He should’ve known it was no good cold. With the blowing of a raspberry, he tried to cool his tongue, wiping it with his right palm as he sighed. With his brow furrowing softly, he looked at his hand. It almost seemed like he went into a trance.
Standing there at least half a minute, William stared at the callused palm of his right hand, having fond memories and disdainful memories flash in mere seconds as he sighed. However, to anyone outside of his mind, he seemed to be distant and almost brain dead. However, he snapped back to his senses, reality going back into its dimensions as he reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. Eight ten. He still had time, and with a simple stroll, he continued onwards towards the enigma waiting-to-be-found Canterlot High.
Within a few short-seeming minutes, William had found the campus. He had almost mistaken it for a college by its size, until his eyes laid themselves upon the sign out front, reading Canterlot High – Home of The Wondercolts, and the large statue of a horse. With a great amount of hesitation, Willam began to tread along the concrete that lead to the front doors, only to hesitantly step up the stairway and through the doors. However, looking to his right palm again for just a second caused his eyes to seemingly ‘spark’ as he opened the doors to the new center of his education. He simply stepped inside, watching countless people walk around, mainly teenagers, but also an accompaniment of staff, which was able to be told by age-defining features such as jawline sinking, eyelid curvature, and apparent bodily features around the hairline and arms. The only thing that bothered him was the hair. They all looked like works of modern art. He just couldn’t help but feel like the only high-I.Q. individual or the odd one out, and he had no clue of which to assume.
No sooner than he began to step forward with his coffee to his mouth, a tall lady with an turquoise, pink, and aqua hair coloring with purple dress pants and a lemon-yellow dress coat approached, smiling. This lady had the oddest thing floating about her though; she seemed friendly, unlike all the other principals, actually sporting what seemed to be a human smile.
“Ah, William, I am glad to meet you. I’m Principal Celestia, and I speak for the entire faculty here when I say we’re glad to have a new student.” This seemed to bother William just a bit as Celestia raised a brow. “Something wrong?”
“No, nothing at all,” he quickly retorted. “Just one question though; why do all the hairstyles here look like modern art?”
“Well, we all have a certain way of identifying ourselves. It’s kind of what happens here at CHS,” Celestia answered, holding back a small giggle as she turned back, only for a slightly shorter lady with blue and silver hair to approach.
“Hello William, I’m Assistant Principal Luna, and I have everything you’ll need right here.” Luna only seemed exuberant as she reached into a folder she had tucked under her arm, and held a small bundle of papers. “You have your school map, student idealized pamphlet about why you should enjoy your stay here, a second schedule just in case you lose your current one, and lastly, our staff-written rulebook, and a student written guidebook for the crowds.” It was all a nice stack, which William graciously accepted as he now had one more thing to ponder; what choice of names were there people given?
“Thank you,” he merely answered as he turned to his right, walking away to find his first class as he took a sip of his now-warm coffee, the flavors making his tongue tingle as he smiled. William flipped the papers around to see the schedule and the periods, and a locker number, namely 718. This blew his mind as he seemed to flash to seeing that number on a mailbox, and the moment he snapped out, he was too late.
Pow! William hit someone, and frankly he was glad they weren’t cars because he’d be too broke for insurance, and he was surely glad when he fell back to his bum. With the impact of marble floors against his Ilium, he let out a soft groan, dropping his coffee as he happened to look up, seeing a girl on her knees, looking down with her eyes directed to her pen, which lay with her sheet music on the ground. Setting his items aside, he quickly got on a knee and reached over, picking up her papers with her, but never touching her pen, a small quirk of being in his mind as he patted the stack’s edges softly to line all the papers up. This girl seemed normal, long black hair, but it was, put into words, a lot of hair. He simply handed them to the girl as she smiled, taking them as she stood up slowly, the other sheets in her free hand as she spoke.
“I apologize, I was moving a bit slow this morning,” she parsed. “I am Octavia. And you are?”
William seemed reluctant, but gave his name anyways. “William. I apologize, I went into a small trance. Had a few thoughts, and I caused trouble by thinking.” He said, looking back to the coffee on the floor as he sighed. “Better clean that up.” He mused, taking his backpack off of his shoulders as he looked around. However, Octavia threw a finger up.
“I’ll get some paper towels,” she said, turning to make a stride to the women’s bathroom, only to return after a few seconds with the towels. But by the time she made it over, the warning bell had rung, signaling that the students would be late unless they got to class in time with their minute left to spare. Octavia looked around nervously, holding the makeshift cleaning supplies on top of her papers as she were only to be surprised, by the simple action of William grabbing the towels from her.
“Get to class. It’s my mess and I’ll handle it,” William mused, giving her a stern look. She raised her hand to object, but he shot a second look of pleading mixed with a small sense of agitation. “Go, now. Don’t be late. I got it.” With that last word, Octavia simply nodded, and smiled at him as she proceeded down the hallways, leaving him to clean his mess as he ordered, as the bell rang and the hallways went empty. Going onto his knees and moving his papers out of the way, he began to blot at the puddle of coffee that had been wasted, taking his time to get the puddle of caffeine up out of the floor. The halls seemed to desert themselves like players in baseball returning to their respective dugouts, or like ants crawling to their rightful storage chambers, as lockers were being slammed shut all around, and the buzz and chatter of the school seemed to die down into a special empty silence.
Ten minutes passed as Principal Celestia came upon William cleaning up the last of his mess, her shoes making soft clicks and clacks along the floor as she approached, only to see a nice wad of paper towels hunkered together as William sighed, wiping his forehead to get a single bead of sweat off. Within a few seconds, William felt the presence of the Principal behind him, but it could also be told by the reflection off of the marble floor.
“Hit a bump, William? You seem to be ten minutes late for your first day’s class and you don’t seem worried.”
“Oh, believe you and me, I am worried. Worried sick, but I made a problem, and I have to fix it. It’s not common courtesy to make a mess and leave it. It’s common courtesy to clean it up if you made it.” He admitted, shrugging as he took the paper towel and coffee ball to the hall’s corner trashcan, and slid it in, giving a relieved sigh.
“Irresponsible doesn’t come to mind right now, so I do not see why you should be worried,” Celestia stated bluntly as William sighed.
“Just let the Computer Sciences teacher know I’ll still be coming for class, even if I am ten minutes late.” William said this like he had just been given the option for a bad reputation or the chance to try again, and would rather take the bad reputation. And this gave Celestia a smirk.
“Well, if I escort you there, you’ll have no problem. You’ll have an excused tardy.”
“I need no excuse. No disrespect Principal, but I prefer to take what I earned, whether it be good or bad. Now I need to get to class, if you’ll excuse me.”
And with that last word, William tossed his bag onto his shoulders, and picked his papers up off the now semi-clean floor, and proceeded to his left, to the English wing.
“Electives wing is the opposite way,” Celestia corrected him before he got too far, which resulted in him walking by cool, calmly, and collected, with only a snap and a thumbs-up to the principal as he proceeded towards the end of the hall, and hooked a right to what he assumed was the Electives wing of the building. And for another time, he was right.
Opening the door to a confused teacher, a bewildered class, and the smell of fresh hardware fans blowing out hot air made this all the more difficult, but he’d still try to explain this as best as he could.

Procrastination of Bonding
Computer Sciences; a class that wasn’t all it seemed to be. William had eyes rolling, while explaining his conundrum to his teacher, a middle aged man who seemed to have a dark sapphire color to his hair who seemed to have a decent attitude towards him, earned him an excuse with no tardy marked resulted nicely, the ‘state of the art computers’ Canterlot High had gotten were weak, almost non-functional. Few of the aware students seemed to have gotten their own machines, ranging from Cougar laptop with expanded drives, to Enovo laptops with incredible retina display and blazing speed. William’s was a prize all in its own.
Housing an overload-bearing processor, one that was yanked from a crapped prototype computer from a landfill, along with modified RAM sticks that gave the laptop six gigabytes to use for keeping applications under control and dumping data with little to no problems, an anti-static control heat sink to reduce any circuit friction, and the custom built plastic case and a back ordered twenty-forty-eight by eight-fifty-eight resolution capable screen, and simply named his computer Entity, which was printed in the lower-right corner of the plastic, in transparent plastic letters emblazed for a tech-head style. This beast was almost nineteen and a half inches in width, and ten inches in length. It was extremely sleek as well, and the whole reason he had that backpack for such a build.
Eyes had drawn themselves to his machine, even sparking a question from his teacher. Some in the back, buff males with short haircuts had begun to whisper ‘rich idiot,’ and much of the likeness to idiocy or not knowing how to use his machine. He had done the complete opposite and mastered it, but said nothing. Per say, it was a decent class, but the sciences weren’t really explained, and because of that it seemed more like a basic tutorial for using professional programs instead of a computing and programming class like he had expected.
Briiiiiiiing! The bell had tolled, and computers were closed, many shutting them down but the two who didn’t seemed to be in a rush, simply closing their programs and closing the PCs they had used. William rose, walking to the door behind the massive, fleeting crowd, attempting to make an exit without making any sort of contact.
With little to no hesitation, William had begun to use the little time he had to locate his assigned locker. This was located a decent ways away, fifty feet past the current wing, heading to the English academics wing. Grabbing the paper the locker number was on, he double checked, and took down the respective combination: 36-54-47. After a few tries, William looked inside his locker, although a tiny ten inch by twelve inch locker, managed to house that protective bag of his, only grabbing a notebook and some mechanical pencils as he looked at the clock located above the cafeteria entrance. Ten o’ clock was the current time, and he slammed his locker shut as his eyes took note of that in a single second, turning to look for the Advanced Writing class, which would have another male, Mr. Berrow, leading the class.
Taking a few steps past a door, a hand could be felt tapping its finger along on top of William’s shoulder, sparking a hasty turn around, almost in defense instead of the will to greet the person tapping his shoulder. Almost as instantly as the tap that landed, a female could be seen leaning back a bit, her waist up outside of a classroom threshold. The girl seemed to have pink hair, but lighter than that of the two he encountered earlier this morning: the name Mrs. Cake bringing the hair to his mind, as he stood straight up, the girl seemingly smiled, even after the reaction William had given.
“Hello, uh…” This girl seemed to be reluctantly shy, maybe an emotional problem, or possibly in a bit of trouble at the moment, but William was trying not to assume. “I’m sorry, but I haven’t seen you around here. I-I’m Fluttershy.” The tone seemed soft, almost as if clouds turned into sound. This was something William tried not to remind himself of.
“Hello, I guess. It’s nice to meet you, Fluttershy.” William seemed a bit unwilling to talk as Fluttershy nodded.
“What’s your name?” Fluttershy asked.
William seemed to shake his head. “William. Look, I’m about to be late, and I cannot figure out which class is Mr. Berrows. Now,” Fluttershy stopped him mid-sentence, a thing he hated, or almost despised.
“This room here, this is Mr. Berrows room. I’m here for advanced writing since I had gotten it recommended for my classes this quarter.”
Fluttershy stated as she went inside, almost happily. This was not good for William. He did not need to make any more friends. He already had an acquaintance, one he had met by sheer accidental circumstances of the mind.
Reluctantly striding inside, William was greeted by Mr. Berrows with a hand shake, the brown hair seemingly normal. There’d have to be some string somewhere. The voice was deep, but young, as a simple point of his finger to the middle seat of the row closest to the door seemed to give a decent impression of where he had to go.
“Take a seat, you’ll have a small test today, but you do not have to take it if you aren’t familiar with a lot of writing.” As Mr. Berrows said this, Fluttershy offered a wave as he sat down, along with a few others, including a blue haired girl who had purple shades and a white coat, a boy with yet more blue hair, but this seemed to be toned in a darker manner, and following that was a girl with bright sky-blue hair, all waving to him in minor enthusiasm. He paid no attention, not wanting any more conversation.
“Now class,” Mr. Berrows started, “Today we will be testing how much you’ve grown to be mature in writing, now I want you all to create a poem, any kind, whether it be free verse or linked phrases, I’ll welcome it. Now I will give you all thirty minutes to create your best piece, and they will be read with names hidden, so without further ado, I will let you all have a go to make me proud of your skills.” And with that, Mr. Berrows walked over to his desk, tapping a key on his keyboard as a beep sounded.
With that, every student, including William, decided to begin on the assignment before it was too late to think of anything. Countless pencils scribbling, numerous hands moving, and all fingers clutching as words were being thrown onto paper. All eyes were moving, along their own papers, poetry formed in mere seconds in the minds were not being put into paper. The silence of such a classroom seemed ominous, almost foreboding for even a sick person to cough in, the only sound made being scribbling, and with such fury in the writing, only a few seemed done early. The purple-shade girl had finished early, taking her sheet up to the desk as another followed, a purple-haired girl, but with a bright face. Next followed Fluttershy, and a countless slew of others, much like a female with dirty-blonde hair, a male with white hair, another male with black hair, and another with what seemed to be dark, red hair. However, after seeing them and examining each of them, William seemed to begin to have a small realization: Each of these people, here, and outside this room, has their own mark, an individual characteristic that defines them in their own mass horde. Within the little time William had left, he decided to work in the poem, building soft ideas and making it into a collection of words that could cut deep if understood. With him being the last, he slid his paper slowly to Mr. Berrows as he returned to his seat silently.
“Alright, is that everyone? Nobody still working?” Mr. Berrows asked as he shuffled the papers. Nobody in the entire room had moved, instead sitting back and waiting as the students looked around, and then back to the front of the room as Mr. Berrows stood up, holding the papers as he leaned against the white board. “Shall I begin?” Each and every singly response given was a nod, with the exception of William as he simply watched, placing a knuckle to his lips. As the teacher began, he held up a single page, he cleared his throat. “This one is entitled ‘Honor by Choice’.”
As Mr. Berrows read this, everyone seemed to look to soarin, who was known to value honor above all else. Next was a poem titled ‘To Wub or Not to Wub.’ The obvious student who sent that in, Vinyl Scratch, or better known as DJ Pon3, was immediately recognized. After that, a poem simply about the beauty and grace of animals, even those that bring harm. All eyes went to Fluttershy on this one. But however, as Mr. Berrows began to recite words William knew specifically because it was his work, William began to break a single, nervous sweat; a cold one. However, luck rang in in the sound of the bell.
Briiiiiiing! Once again, William was saved by the bell. However, he didn’t bother to get up, but instead examined each of the fellow pupils as they left, taking notes of various marks: From the basic music symbol, to the three butterflies, to three diamonds, to a lightning bolt with wings, to a simple harp. Each and every one of them seemed to be identified by a mark instead of their own socialist, trend-following selves. Or maybe this place was a haven William had imagined. However, seeing the last person leave made him snap back into reality, his legs bucking against the ground as he shot up from his chair in a split second, grabbing his stack of papers as he rushed out of the door quickly, returning to his locker as he sighed, trying to bide for time, his mind trying to tell him something after his realization. However, another tap was felt as he groaned, turning around wearily.
“Yes, what is it?” William asked this as he finished turning slowly, facing a girl with purple hair, who was smiling.
“I’m terribly sorry if I’m bothering you, uh, William, right?” This girl sounded as if she had the prominent accent of a city child, or somewhere along that line. William nodded as he raised a brow. “Fluttershy told me about you. We haven’t had many new students, so I would like to welcome you as well. I’m Rarity.”
“Yeah, well, can I have a minute alone? I really do hate to be rude,” however, Rarity interrupted, tipping his scales to the angered just a bit more.
“Well, just please let me say if you have any important questions about the people here in general, just ask my friend Sunset Shimmer, I’ll introduce you tw-”
“Listen, I don’t need introductions, I don’t need friends, now just leave me alone!” William barked this, almost seeming flared, peeved even, as he slammed his locker door, bending his legs and almost rearing his fist back as he tried not to hit her. But almost as he did, he immediately calmed himself, standing straight up as he turned to immediately walk away, Rarity’s shocked face and horrified stance almost guiltily tripping him. However, he suddenly held his head, taking a turn trying to find the bathroom; this wasn't like him at all, snapping over nothing. He didn't know what had just happened.
As William frantically walked through the hallways, sweat dropping and what seemed to be his jugular vein popping up, he began to trip, bumping into others, males, females, and almost a few teachers. His vision seemed to spin, his head seeming like it was floating, and his heart racing. He had felt this before, fear and adrenaline rushing, but for what? He only had this happen rarely, two times in his previous location, but however, he was struggling to stand up now. As the crowd around him thickened, his escape from the scene he created seemed impossible as he fell down, head impacting the cold floor first, the back of his skull hurting as he went out cold.
As countless people seemed to gasp in wonder and horror, Nurse Tenderheart began to run through, followed by two staff with a stretcher. As an extremely bulk male, whos shirt said ‘Bulk Biceps’, who had extremely short hair, lifted William on the stretcher with the help of Assistant Principal Luna, Nurse Tenderheart began to clear a way as they rushed William to the Nurse’s Office in a hurry, sparing no time except to make sure William was still alright.
Where Magic Awakens Darkness in Canterlot High
It was a half hour, give or take a few minutes, as Nurse Tenderheart began to open the door, allowing the people behind her to stand and watch. Who was present were the few who had talked to him. It was Fluttershy, Rarity, Celestia, Luna, and Octavia. However, there was one he didn’t know; Sunset Shimmer. She stood at the doorway, watching intently as Tenderheart took another run of his pulse, placing her fingers along his neck. It was the same, strong pulse he had since he went down. Each of them stayed outside the room, whether leaned against the wall, or sitting on the floor, all of them sat patiently. Luck seemed to stray in and place a spell over the catastrophe, because as the hands on the clock began to read eleven-thirty, Nurse Tenderheart walked outside.
“William’s awake, just has a bit of a headache.” Nurse Tenderheart mused with a smile, shaking her head with a sigh.
“Can we see him?” Fluttershy sprang off of her feet as she heard this, Rarity folding her hands in front of herself as she looked to Fluttershy.
“He would probably like some,” Nurse Tenderheart said, stepping by. “Just try not to overwhelm him.” With that, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Sunset Shimmer stepped inside to see him, standing by the bed as William turned to look at them.
“Oh dear, what happened? Is this the dream where I’m getting haunted by snapping?” William seemed to sigh as he put his hands over his face.
“What? No. Wait, you snapped?” Sunset Shimmer asked that question almost confusedly. “Is that why you came to me Rarity? You need me to give a whupping?”
“No, I meant to have you two introduced, but I just thought you’d be able to speak without making him mad,” Rarity parsed as she shook her head, sighing. “If I may ask… Why did you snap, uh... William, is that correct?”
“I…” William seemed to go silent and looked away, saying more without him having to open his mouth. Sunset Shimmer shook her head softly, Fluttershy sighing in relief.
“I’m just glad you’re alright.” Fluttershy added in as William looked to Rarity.
“I’m sorry to each of you for being rude. It’s not every day I come to a place like this.” But looking at the people in front of him, three girls just seemed too odd for William. He really didn’t like trusting one. But he was practically forced to oblige. ‘I need male friends, I feel the masculinity dropping like bricks,’ William thought to himself.
“Listen, William,” Sunset Shimmer began, “I have a gut feeling about you,” and that was her Equestrian senses telling he that, no gut guesses, “So at lunch today, you’re going to take a seat with me. And don’t take that the wrong way. I’ve got questions for you.” Fluttershy raised her hand hearing this.
“Will this be quick for lunch, or will it be the whole lunch period?” Fluttershy asked sincerely as Sunset Shimmer shrugged.
“Depends on if he’s willing to cooperate.” She parsed.
“Wait one second, I’m missing out on Geometry, I need to get back,” he said, standing up as the three took to the door, staring at him.
“Not until Tenderheart has cleared you to leave!” Sunset barked, but William rose up quickly.
“You had better be quiet, because if I can’t move, then I’m not cleared. I am my own doctor. And I know when I’m good to go or not.” He said, only for Octavia to slide through them, staring at the boy.
“Listen to them,” Octavia pleaded, “We may not be the closest of friends, or even developed a friendship yet, but just don’t push yourself on a road to getting hurt, because there are some people who don’t even know you that care.”
The words seemed to quell the boy, but he seemed to go into a trance for a few seconds, merely staring at the floor as he sat back down. Octavia put a hand on William’s shoulder as Tenderheart raised a brow.
“May I get inside?” Tenderheart asked agitated as Sunset, Flutters and Rarity moved out of the way. Octavia reached into her pocket while this happened, and put a single five dollars beside William, and patted his hand.
“That's so you can get more coffee,” Octavia mused with a soft smile as she strutted out, but William seemed dazed, not by the random act of kindness itself, but the words said, what could apply to him. Never before after what had happened had he put the effort into thinking about making friends. Primal instincts were tailoring up, tenth grade was nearing an end in 5 months, and he may have possibly been ended before any of his hopes would come true.
William didn’t even notice Tenderheart as she spoke to him, eventually patting his forehead to get his attention, which worked.
“Wha- hu- wuzzat?” He asked, almost unaware of what had happened.
“Are you able to continue with your day, or do you want to go home?” Tenderheart asked, with the immediate answer being William’s rise from his position, to stand in front of her as he nodded.
“Just send me back, because I don’t need to waste any more time,” William ordered, hating the fact that he had practically missed the class, even if he wasn’t a good number cruncher, he still tried his darndest to learn.
“No, you’ll be kept here until the lunch bell rings, because I don’t want you pressing yourself too hard.” Sunset, Fluttershy, and Rarity all nodded to him, turning around to walk out of the room as William sat down. With that, Tenderheart left to return to her desk, only for Celestia to pop in.
“Oh dear me, William, what happened?” Celestia asked, looking down at the healthy-looking boy. She squatted across the cot, and looked at him as he looked between his legs.
“I don’t know, honestly… It seemed like there was a rush through my head, and I got dizzy, and… If I remember hearing the clunk correctly, I hit the ground like a bag of bricks.” William didn’t even rub the back of his head. He seemed almost content, unhurt, but his eyes on the floor gave it away.
“William,” Celestia murmured, “if you need to talk, I can listen to what you need to say.” William didn’t respond. “William?” Celestia called out. He just seemed to nod right there, eyes unmoving from the floor. Celestia took this as a notice to leave, and slowly walked away as she looked back at him one last time. “I’ll be in my office if you need me.” And with that, she briskly stepped out.
However, inside of William’s mind, in his vision, sat not the current location of the Canterlot High Nurse’s Office, but in his eyes there was what seemed to be a void, but not filled with darkness, but images, moving images, with noise. He sat there, looking into the void, seeing a younger version of him throwing his arms up to defend himself, but being overpowered by a large, bearded kid with glasses.
“Friends… Don’t truly exist…” William softly whispered to himself. These words sat in his mind as he watched his older side become a mere limp binding of limbs upon the tiling of a bathroom, as the other had kicked him away.
“You don’t need friends. You’re too useless for one to want.” The bearded boy spoke as he walked away, the void starting to grow dark as William’s right hand clenched. There seemed to be a soft pain as he quickly began to sit on it, trying to ignore it. However, by luck, another bell had just saved his mind.
Briiiiiiing! The bell had once again broken Williams aim at any distraction. As he slowly got up, he realized his coat had seemed a bit clung to his shirt. With a single tug, he freed his coat from a soft sweat-bond to his shirt. Within seconds, William had briskly walked out as he proceeded to the cafeteria. He knew what he had experienced; an old part of him, one so damaged by who he had trusted that it forced him never to trust again. Now he could tell that the emotional demon he forged was fearful of what could happen again, making William fight a battle in his mind. However, he could often hear it talk to him before he left. It had a taste for wanton destruction, it wanted to destroy and ‘purify’ all it could, and lastly, it wanted no more pain. It was personally named by him as ‘Allucard,’ and he had no idea of the extent its power could grow. And inside of such a magical environment, with such power causing this manifestation to stir around.
As William walked around the cafeteria, looking for an empty table, his stomach rumbled. Looking at the food these people had on their plate made him sick, but aside from that fact, he had wasted his only five he brought on the coffee he got this morning, so a dollar and some change wouldn’t do it, and he wasn’t going to spend the money Octavia gave him. As William located a completely empty table in the corner, he decided to leap for it, stepping over only to finally feel the splendor of sitting with his back straight up again. However, such pleasure was quickly lost as Sunset Shimmer walked over, taking a seat right across from William as he proceeded to groan.
“Not even ten seconds, best record for interrupting my lunch,” William griped as Sunset Shimmer proceeded to place her palm against her face.
“Listen, I just want to talk to you for a min-” As Sunset Shimmer tried to speak, William put his head on the table with an audible ‘thunk’ that made a few heads turn.
“Please make it quick, I wasted money on good coffee that I lost, and I hate being awake and hungry at the same time.” Sunset seemed to understand where he was coming from, but decided it would be best to see if this boy wasn’t as bad as the Dazzerlings, or her former self for that matter. She sighed as she looked at William’s arm. The muscles seemed to make his coat move a bit, but Sunset Shimmer didn’t see his other arm moving at all.
“William?” She asked, reaching for his arm as William put his hand to his head, rubbing as his fingers seemed to have a slight twitch, and his hand’s vein below his knuckles was pulsing.
“Yeah?” William asked drowsily, unaware of what his hand was doing. As a concerned Sunset began to reach for it, she did now know what was about to happen.
“Are you alright, your hand is-” Zap! The golden color of her magic seemed to shock itself out of her hand, into his; Equestrian magic, just a small drop, in the hands of what was now awakened. William instantaneously grabbed his hand, pain growing intensely as he howled out in slight agony for just a second.
“Sweet” – William tried not to curse, -“nuclear explosion, my hand feels as if it’s on fire!” William said as he groaned. Sunset Shimmer instantly gasped, seeing William groan as his hand seemed to go spastic, but it slowly began to slow down as William breathed heavily, the pain gone, and the twitching unable to be seen.
“What was that?!” Sunset asked concerned, taking William’s hand again as he pulled away instantly.
“Watch it, you don’t need to be zapped or I don’t need to have a nuke go off in my hand!” William jeered as he sighed, looking at his hand. He couldn’t see anything wrong; no burn marks, lesions, or any physical or nervous damage of the sort, and all he felt was the average flow of blood and contractions of his muscles.
“I feel like I lost a part of my strength…” Sunset muttered as William looked at her, then at his hand. The cycle repeated; Sunset, hand, Sunset, hand, Sunset Shimmer, right hand, and it continued for about thirty seconds until he sighed.
“Please just, stay away, I don’t know what happened, just…” William began to feel an oddness speak in his head.
“Those who share obviously care. Well, I’m not letting myself be lured. But what’s mine is yours.” That voice seemed to be almost like a deranged version of his, the quick pacing, the stuttering, and the interrupting laugh between a few words.
“William?” Sunset Shimmer asked as William seemed to be in shock.
“Huh?” William snapped out of his state of listening to his head, seeing the girl he didn’t even know so well still giving a concerned look.
“You alright?”
“Yeah,” William answered, silently muttering “I hope,” to finish his sentence.
“Well, I have a party I’ll be holding since out Wondercolts won the Basketball game against Fillydelphia. Listen, if you want to know me more, and get a few more friends, you can come. Just give me an answer before the end of the day so I know to let the chauffeurs give you entrance. It’s going to be held in the Gymnasium.” A party was a foreign thing since William had never been to one, especially not to one in such a nice place. Planning out pros and cons in his head almost instantly, William nodded to her as he sighed.
“I’ll come along. What time is it?” William asked.
“Seven o’ clock, tonight.” Sunset answered.
“Alright, I’ll be here early.” William stated as he looked back to the table. Sunset Shimmer got up slowly, smiling to William as she left. William slowly placed his head on the table, sighing, only to hear a soft thump nearly inches away from his head. He looked up, seeing an apple by his head as Sunset Shimmer was already walking away.
‘Looks like I need to give Celestia another letter,’ Sunset Shimmer thought to herself as she returned to the table where she and her friends almost always sat. Taking a seat, she looked at Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash as they all smiled.
“So, what was the deal with that new kid?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“I saw him earlier, he didn’t talk much though.” Pinkie Pie added in as she looked at Sunset Shimmer.
“Well, let me just say Twilight may be making an appearance here quite soon.” Sunset Shimmer retorted.
Where Magic Awakens Darkness in Canterlot High
The Calling Card to Go Back
“Again?” Twilight sighed, looking at the writing of Sunset Shimmer in the book with Celestia’s mark upon the cover.
“Does this seem like the work of another banished race or runaway unicorn?” Applejack asked, the six all standing around a table, with Spike sitting infront of the mechanical contraption that would power the mirror again.
“No, but Sunset seems worried. She met this person,” Twilight began, “only a single month and I’m already asked back. But Sunset included the feeling that when she touched him at lunch, she felt a bit of her strength fade. Like something had stolen her magic.” Applejack raised a brow.
“Well how the hay does that work? I thought there was only magic if those people were singing?” Applejack inquired as she looked at the book, inspecting the page.
“Well, what if this is Tirek? Maybe it’s, at the very worst, his human counterpart?” Fluttershy asked as Rarity and Pinkie looked over to her.
“Maybe not. If he’s in Tartarus here, so he may be in prison there, or may not exist there. I don’t know, but if Sunset Shimmer is right and he stole her magic, even just a fraction, who knows what a human might do. If they can’t wield it, then that’s good, but she’ll still need it back.”
Twilight said, Rainbow Dash sighing as she looked at the mirror.
“Just when you could get the most awesome task of defeating what could be a dangerous magic thief, it has to be in that human place! Mother of Celestia, I want to take part in that!” Dash said as Twilight sighed.
“If there’s two of anyone, there will be trouble. Just, please stay patient. I’m only doing this because I have to so Dash, please don’t rush.”
“She’s right, two of anyone can become a confusing ordeal,” Rarity chimed in, shaking her head as the thought of two hers crossed her mind.
“Listen,” Twilight began as she hooked the book up again, letting the mechanical invention take the power inside the book and use it as the power began to flow through the coils and wires as the portal seemed to appear as a small blinking dot, and then grow to the purple tear it was. “If there is danger, they can help, they have, like you. There’s no difference except human bodies. Believe me, there’s always something that world has to combat threats. Even if it’s simple human bodies with a one-trick magic that’s activated a special way, then it’s what can be used.”
Spike looked inside the portal, his eyes wandering as Twilight looked back.
“Be careful everypony,” Twilight said, charging through as Spike huffed.
“Another day on the job, I guess,” Spike muttered as he hopped through, following Twilight as they began their journey to Canterlot High yet again.
As they exited the tear between the worlds, Twilight stood tall as she sighed, looking at her arms and legs again, the sun’s basking orange giving Canterlot High a slight beauty it had never held during the normal daytime. Sunset Shimmer, who just so happened to be outside talking to her friends, the trusty human counterparts, heard Twilight groan as she rubbed her head, Spike walking from behind her.
“Twilight!” Sunset Shimmer exclaimed happily, running over as Pinkie, Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rarity all smiled, Sunset landing the first hug around her as the others piled on, Twilight giving an odd chuckle as she sighed.
“Alright guys, you missed me, I know.” Twilight said this, trying to give them all a hug as they all let go, smiling.
“Well, we’ve got a party going up in fifteen minutes, and we’ll be staying the night at Pinkie’s again, since she offered so kindly,” Sunset stated as Pinkie smiled.
“I can’t help but enjoy company, especially in a sleepover!” Pinkie squealed as Twilight couldn’t help but smile.
“Well, you can’t help but enjoy the presence of others.” Twilight added as she looked at Sunset. “Should we head inside, everyone?” Sunset nodded as she waved her hand.
“Come on everyone, let’s relax until this party starts.”
And with that, all of them began to follow, Twilight walking beside Sunset as they walked inside the school, passing the trophy cases and lockers as they came to the gymnasium, with tables set all across. It looked splendid, actually, as a banner with ‘We are the victors!’ hung above the doorway. There were a few people present; DJ Pon3 was at the front, with her trusty turntables and speaker hookups, while Snowflake was at the beverage tables on the opposite side of the room, drinking a glass of punch out of the usual red plastic cups, and others such as Lyra, the Crusaders, and a few more were enjoying their time, with a few teachers there as well, such as Ms. Cheerilee, Assistant Principal Luna, and even Celestia were sitting upon the seating tables, sipping their beverages as they all spoke amongst themselves.
However, William was already at the premises, inside at the least, but he had stayed in the bathroom, trembling. The blue dress pants and white dress shirt were fitting for him, but he wasn’t up about his appearance.
“I’m going crazy,” he mumbled, the voice kept going on and on.
“No you’re not, you just can’t shut me up.” The Allucard in his mind was still pushing on, awakened by the presence of unused magic. As he looked in the mirror, he could see the face of his deranged self; a haunting sight he never saw, because unlike what he was, this was different in every way with bloodshot eyes, scarred skin, and a horrid smile, unsettling in almost every way. “I know who you are, and you know yourself all too well. Except I’m stronger; I can use magic, while you can only use brute strength. You’re a fool if you think you’ll make friends. They’ll destroy you again, and I’ll be the only one you can count on.”
William began to think, his thoughts going to what he wanted, what he dreamed of, and in that instant, it all went silent. As he looked in the mirror, his deranged thoughts had disappeared as he stood up straight, sighing. He didn’t know what shut that voice up, but he just hoped it could keep it silenced for the night. Within seconds, William was walking outside of the bathroom, heading towards the gymnasium as he sighed. Sleekly stepping through the door, the plethora of people there were dancing, having a good time. William never danced. He never had a good time. He almost seemed completely un-fun. However, it all went down as Octavia approached.
“William, how are you?” Octavia chided as she walked over happily, dubstep and hip hop blaring through speakers as William shrugged.
“Feeling just like every other day; same job, no pay. Oh hey, that rhymed.” William mused as he sighed, looking around for a table. Octavia smiled as she held a cup of punch up to her mouth, taking a small sip, her dress having small ruffles on the skirt as William sighed.
“Would you like some punch?” Octavia asked as she looked at him with a smile.
“Yeah. If it could give me a nice silence to the bassline that is currently breaking my brain, sure.”
And with that, Octavia walked away, going to grab him a cup. This seemed unlawfully nice. William however, couldn’t tell anything that was going. To them, he seemed dull, in what is a magic-filled place, and to him, they all seemed normal. Clouded in his mind, he decided to lean against the wall, and relax for a second. And like a two headed penny that has tails with the person flipping always calling heads, his streak of peace was interrupted as Sunset and Twilight walked over to him.
“Oh dear me, is peace not an option?” William asked himself as he put his hand against his face.
“Are we interrupting you?” Twilight inquired, raising a brow as Sunset Shimmer practically slapped her face, putting her palm against her cheek as she sighed.
“No, no, please do say what you’ve gotta.” William didn’t seem so happy, but Twilight not being familiar with his level of sarcasm, walked to him.
“I’m Twilight Sparkle,” she said, holding out her hand. “Sunset Shimmer told me about you.” William looked at her hand with the most confused eyes.
“Well, I had an incident today, with my hand, and I don’t want to end up repeating it.” William parsed.
“Just shake her hand,” Sunset demanded, not extremely stern, but with enough tone to give William the suggestion to do it or face her wrath. And reluctantly, he stuck his hand out, grasping Twilight’s hand as he raised a brow. It didn’t happen this time. Odd enough, but with that out of the way, William shook her hand once, and then let go, returning to his original position.
“Pleased to meet you, William,” Twilight mused as she smiled once, and turned away, walking back to the crowd as Sunset followed, the two conversing and looking back at him. William wasn’t honestly paying attention.
“Were you doing that just to get me here? Because I can say this; I didn’t feel a thing.” Twilight stated as Sunset Shimmer sighed, shaking her head.
“Are you kidding me? I know what happened. Well, I may not know exactly what’s going on, but there’s definitely something weird.” Sunset Shimmer said as the two walked back over to their friends.
“So, what happened?” Rainbow Dash asked, Pinkie sipping punch as Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack were conversing amongst themselves.
“Well, Sunset may be wrong about him, but then again, we won’t know what’s going on until we find the root of the problem.” Twilight answered Rainbow Dash as Sunset Shimmer looked back William wasn’t there anymore: Instead, there was an Octavia with her jaw dropped, and what seemed to be a scared William running to the entrance with a hand on his head.
“Twilight,” Sunset said as she nudged Twilight’s ribs, “William’s running from something.” With that, Twilight looked at the door of the gymnasium, seeing the stranger leave in a rush.
“Girls, come with me,” Twilight announced as they all looked at her, Rarity and Dash seeing the boy run past the threshold and into the hall, and Pinkie Pie raising a brow as she, Fluttershy, and Applejack wondered what exactly was going on in such a rush. Twilight and Sunset had already begun to run after William. With no choice but to see what was going on, the others followed. The run was long, William running outside to the front yard of the school, holding his head, the girls following behind him as he fell to his knees on the grass.

“Stop right there,” Sunset ordered, running to him as William turned around.
“Wait, stop!” But by the time Sunset was too close, it was too late, with William’s right hand extended, the magic surging inside his veins as he screamed out in agony. Twilight’s immediate response was to pull back Sunset Shimmer, throwing her back as William trembled, an aura forming around him. The aura the color of Sunset’s magic.
“What is that?!” Pinkie asked, pointing to William as the aura seemed to move away, separating from William.
“Your new enemy,” an ominous voice said, laughs able to be heard as the aura began to take form; the body a skinnier but more bulked build of William, the height just a bit shorter, the eyes bloodshot, the smile deranged.
“Oh no,” William said, looking at Sunset Shimmer. “Is she alright?” He asked weakly, trying to stand up, but the aura putting his hand on William’s shoulder.
“Simply call me ‘Allucard,’ since the man who held me decided to give me that name.” The new entity barked, smirking.
“I don’t feel any strength in myself,” Sunset Shimmer stuttered, standing up with the most violent tremble. This was where Allucard smiled.
“Thank you for trusting him, because without this magic, now you can’t hurt him!” Allucard cackled, staring at his new body. The feel was something he enjoyed. “Now I do not have to worry about him destroying himself over false friendships. So, how do the rest of you wish to bode?”
William ran over to them, standing in front of them, arms spread as he looked his polar opposite in the eye.
“I won’t let you destroy my hopes of changing my life for the better!” William shouted, now protecting them, the influence of such a demonic side gone from his mind.
“Hope, such a useless thing. You can’t get anywhere with hopes or dreams, so how about you back off, and let me do my job. You created me; I am your hatred, so why don’t you just accept I am the majority of who you are?” Allucard stated as the others came outside, staff, a number of students, and the rest staying inside, unaware of the current event.
“Hope isn’t useless. We all have different hopes, different dreams, and different aspirations, so if you destroy them, you destroy a whole race!” Twilight shouted, Pon3’s bassline began inside, audile outside as the group of girls began to sing.
“Hope, is the strongest magic,” Twilight began.
“The strength of all that are lost,” Sunset added in.
“Hope is the seed of happiness,” Pinkie chimed.
“Where all those who are lost can bring themselves up to a light,” Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy started, the song being made on the spot.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re weak or strong, big or little, or just head strong.” Twilight and Sunset began again.
“Hope is the strongest,” they all began, “Magic of them all!”
“It can end a war, or merely open a door, and assist you in life,”
And this was where magic began to spur on their body, wings appearing on Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy, as the ears appeared on all of them.
“Any without hope, are truly lost in darkness,”
“And your heart can become a light,”
“If you simply hope,” Twilight began to take over, “Life can be easy, and you can earn your dreams. And if you ever lose it, then you’ve just got to remember your dreams.”
The bassline began to end, they all stood there, wings protruding, and William staring with a dropped jaw as Allucard chuckled.
“You think just because you can add a few things to your body, you’re powerful. Boom!” Allucard shouted, leaping at Twilight, his hand grabbing Twilight’s shoulder as what seemed to be bolts of magic surged between the two, a flurry of purple and yellow sparks flying between the two at the contact point, like two electric currents battling. However, such a feat was cut short by a grab of Allucard’s collar as he was thrown back by his very creator, William.
“Didn’t your mom ever tell you to not lay your hands on a woman?” William stated as Allucard seemed to laugh at the very situation that lay in front of him.
“Didn’t your heart ever tell you not to let anyone in after it was shattered?” Allucard barked, swinging a fist at his very creator. However, William put his arm up, letting the arm be attacked as he growled.
“You forget who made you, and who you were a part of. Whose problem you were, and who despised you!” He said, looking back as the six stood tall. Twilight stood with her friends, as Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie, and the others, joined their hands. As magic was going between them, William stood tall as his armed manifestation of feelings tried to get to them. However, William kept grabbing Allucard and tossing him back.
“Girls, ready?” Twilight asked, her magic still plentiful as each and every person in that united bond sounded off with a yes. Slowly rising up, all of them began to glow a rainbow, Allucard looking up with a smile as he spread his arms. As they sent their magic into a united beam, and sent their powers combined to the manifestation of the stranger, each of them stared right at it. Allucard seemed to be awaiting this, but when Twilight realized something was wrong, the magic had already his him, and a bang had sounded off, sending light into the sky.

Formation of Destruction - Part 2
As the magic began to fade, the six landed on the ground, gracefully as all of them looked at the lightning bolts colored to each of their magical identities had seemingly faded, Allucard standing with a fear-inspiring cackle.
“Idiots,” the clone said, looking up with his eyes glowing. “You think your precious friendship is magical. Everything is capable of magic, and with hatred, I have now shown you exactly what this magic does!”
The girls stood there, shocked, while William stared in horror, practically seeing this and realizing what had now happened. His vision was already clouded by this presence of his negative emotions, and he fell to his knees, knowing he possibly spawned an entity capable of such destruction.
“Now, you want to see what your ‘magic’ did to me? Behold!” In an instant, Allucard’s muscles began to twitch, his back shuddering as bat wings sprouted from his back, and his hands seemed to glow. The wings spanning four feet for each, he flew up, smiling as he hovered in the air. “Pathetic, thinking that a group form of torture can stop such purity such as myself!”
William, however, cried, seeing what he had created from his mind, what he did to himself, and what he possibly did to others. With his heart’s seams tearing, he stood in front of the six as he looked at them.
“I’m sorry,” he parsed, regretful as they all looked at him with confusion. “I did this, there’s no need for you to get involved.” He said, Twilight looking at the boy with Sunset Shimmer and the rest sharing the same target for sight.
“Don’t worry about apologies now,” Twilight shouted, “I understand you had bad friendships, just trust us now, and we can do this!” The six seemed focused, and Sunset Shimmer nodded.
“We’d all like to be friends with you, if you give us the chance,” Fluttershy added as William looked back. As he stood with them, Twilight looked at the others.
“He’s a normal human, he won’t be able to stand up to that!” Twilight realized, telling her friends this as Allucard screamed down at William.
“You fool, what do you think you are doing?!” Allucard seemed enraged.
“I am going to break you. They say hope is the ultimate strength?” William said with his whole heart and soul hoping for friendship as he clenched his fist. “Well, looks like I didn’t share such a power with you, and without it, you’re the weakest in this field!” Allucard furrowed his brows, sending his wings back as he flew down towards the boy who actually was correct.
“I’ll destroy you, and prove that power is weak!” Allucard snapped at his other half.
With William in the range of such magical beings, his very body began to change, wings softly sprouting from his back like three of the six who had attempted to down his other half before, his filled with feathers though as he stared up at Allucard. The others had also began to hope, and with this, they all looked at him.
“Thank you, all of you. I wouldn’t want to sour any potential bonds and call you my friends just yet,” William said, looking back at all of them, as Pinkie Pie squealed happily, and Applejack nodded.
“I say, after this ordeal, let’s get to know ya a little better. Til then,” Applejack said as William nodded before she could gesture to Allucard.
“William,” Twilight urgently called, “We need you, if you really do have the power of hope, please stand with us.” Recognizing the duty to face his demons and end such a struggle, took use of his wings, oddly flapping them once as he hopped back, landing with them as they all looked to Allucard, who stopped mid-air, clenching his fists as a dark aura formed around it.
“You will not destroy the prefect world!” Allucard shouted, the very sunset behind them starting to fade as clouds covered the sky, and lightning rung down around the city, rumbled making the ground tremble. With this, the group of friends and one acquaintance of them all joined hands, floating up once again. As the aura changed from rainbow to pure white, William stared ahead, his heart and soul focused on the true hope of his life: to end the reign of his rampant emotions, and to finally have a true friendship. With this powering him, he seemed to glow, holding his hands in front of him as his mind took over, Allucard laughing almost in a demonic tone, sending a dark ball flying to them.
“Time to remember who you are!” Allucard shouted, the ball hurdling towards them. However, William held the small ball of magic in his hands, now a pure, blinding white as he looked at them all.
“Pray that we do have the strength,” William mused as he chucked his arm back, and hurled the magic to Allucard. As it pierced the dark sphere and shredded it, Allucard put his hands in front of him, shouting as contact was made, now screaming as he seemed to be enveloped, the mere remnant being the body without wings as William muttered one sentence; “Stay in my memories, where you belong.”
Where Magic Awakens Darkness in Canterlot High
Where Torment Ends, Promises Begin
As William, Twilight, Sunset, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash landed on the ground slowly and gracefully, William seemed to lose his wings instantly, smiling as he fell to his knees, laughing as streams of magic, each colored to it's rightful wielder, returned to the bodies of Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, and lastly, Sunset Shimmer.
“Uh, Twilight? Is he gonna to be alright?” Applejack said, pointing to William as he seemed to be going insane, crying as well, but still smiling.
“Gee, that William guy sure seems happy, but sad. Why are you sad?” Pinkie asked, confused like all the rest around him, the students who watched from afar and faculty who did as well in awe at this boy.
“I’m finally free from that torment of fear, finally able to make friends without having to check my back for a lie. I’m finally at peace, and I’m so happy…” William said with tears, sniffling as he wiped his face, sighing as he looked at all of them. “Thank you, all of you. I don’t know what happened with us, but you know what? I can see everything clear now.” And he could, the skin colors, the differences between each and every person here, he could see it all now; such diversity, and such uniqueness among every person, with no social conformities able to be seen. “But I did ruin the party, so I guess I should take my leave.” William said as he sighed, looking at the girls who had practically just helped him save himself. “By the way, name’s William. I’m about a block down from the coffee shop if you peeps ever need to see me.” He said.
“Well, I’m Pinkie Pie!” She said, smiling as she took his hand and rapidly shook.
“Applejack, pleased to meetcha partner.” Applejack said with a nod to William.
“Well,” Sunset Shimmer shrugged, “I will have to talk to you about how to fit in now, because I had the same thing happen. Kind of,” She said, looking to William. “Would it be alright if I walked with you, or would that be uncomfortable?”
“I’ll be willing to listen, I just have to finish unpacking, so that’ll be a concern. Besides, I’m just gonna tell my mom it’s been one crazy day,” William said as he looked back at his new friends.
“Will we see you again?” Fluttershy asked.
“Definitely, because frankly, I finally found a place where I’m happy,” William answered, sighing as he put his hands in his pockets, nodding to them all. “Take care, each and every one of you.” William said, turning his head around as he began to walk down the street, Sunset Shimmer running for a second to catch up as the two began to talk.
Yep , thought William, definitely a great place to be.
