Radiant sighed as her eyes wandered accross the dark room. Burghundy candles dotted the room with a slightly coloured glow and a cinamon scent. Her gazed from left to right as she paced, her black cloke skidon the floor being the only noise in the otherwise silent atmosphere.

At either side of her, two mares were cuffed to the ground. They could barely stand. They were worn out or drugged up. They didn't even know where they were. "Pick one," a deep voice said from behind her. She spun around to meet the stallion's gaze.

"One?" She asked him, his eyes narrowed the her's widened.

"Choose one, you can have any one you want." He told her. She stared at him nervous, grabbing the arm of the mare's with green hair. She didn't even respond, her arm was limp and lifeless.

"O-Only one?" She asks the stallion, poking on the mare's arm. She whimpered a little, her dull blue eyes opening slightly.

"Only one..." He spat,

Radiant could feel the mare trying to tense up, to struggle, but she didn't even have the energy. She eyes scanned down her body, her bones pressed tightly against her blue coat, which was covered in bruises. Deep, purple bags had settled under her desperate eyes and her hair fell in tattered strands besides her face.

"Poor thing," Radiant said with pure sympathy, "They all are."

"So do you not want a mare?" the stallion barked at her, his tone beginnig to hint flecks of anger. "Then why did you come here? We have many other ponys who would take one."

"Well I thought you would've kept them in better condition," Radiant sneered, "Have you even examined them, they're broken! You monster!" The stallion smirked at her, pacing toward her, she kept her composure.

"Once the drugs have worn off, they'll be fine." He grinned, "So tell me, are you in, or out?"

Suddenly, the door flung open. She backed towards the far wall, throwing her gaze towards the door. “I have one to sell," One mare said.

"P-please I-," The orange slave begged, the stallion on her left kicked her back in an attempt to shut her up. She winced, her body shaking violently, but she rose her head. Radiant was mesmerised.

"Yes si-." She began, only to be kicked again. Shutting up completely.

"SHUT UP!"

The orange mare staggered up with tears running down her face as desperately crying to herself covering her face with her hooves.

Radiant stared at her, unable to take her eyes away. Her mane was a yellow and orange in a giant mass. Her coat was light apple green and her body was slim, but looked well built from what she could see. Her dark pink eyes fear and desperation by her running mascara. She looked over at the broken mares, they looked terrified, but they didn't even have the energy to scream. Then she looked back over at the mare in front of her.

She was very attractive, but Radiant's favorite thing about her was the fact that she could take pain and it didn't defeat her. She could beg and she could set definitely put up a fight.

"I'm in..." Radiant interrupted. The room fell silent, except for everypony's heavy breathing. All eyes were on her

"Y-you're in?" The boss asked her, "I thought you said all these mares were broken."

"I'll take that one." She said pointing strait down at Adagio, she stared back up at her with fearful eyes, and bowed her her head, silently sobbing to herself. The boss smirked and the older mare whispered somthing into the younger one's ear.

"I'm s-sorr-" But she was cut off by a slap to the face by the boss.

"I SAID SHUT UP YOU WORTHLESS CUNT!" He hollered at her. The slave whimpered softly as glissening tears rolled off her cheeks.

"Now where were we? Ah yes you said you wanted to buy?" The boss said, turning back to her.

“But, she will not stay in such a filthy place. I will buy her and she will come with me to my residence.”

“I don’t think so,” The male replied hastily, “Until she earns trust it can’t go anywhere besides ; there’s too much of a risk. Plus I haven't trained it yet or took it in, it’s only fair.”

"What if I buy her as my own removing her from your care?" She asked still staring at shivering mare. The stallion released a hearty laugh while wiping a tear off his eye.

"Unless you've got a thousand dollars, it's staying with me. Isn't that right Adagio?"

"Yes Master." Adagio said dropping her head.

Radiant could see the mare shiver in fear again. No nopony, not even a criminal deserved to be treated so poorly. She would buy her as her own, only to get her out of this awful place. She pulled out her wallet and pulled out three full bags of bits and slapped them on the table.

“I own her now, this should pay for it.”

She then took Adagio's hoof with her magic and dragged her out of the grungy unit. She took enough time to shrug off her blanket and place it over Adagio's shoulders.

"Thank you Mistress."

In silence, the orange unicorned mare followed her. When they reached the sidewalk, she continued on her way by hoof and Adagio followed closely behind her. Not long at all and they were walking through the streets of the downtown area, towards the higher class district. Radiant looked back to see the mare wasn't walking normally, and just by looking at her, Radiant could tell she was still scared judging by her shivering and shaking.

"You will be staying at my residence now."
