"Dear Celestia,
Thank you for the encyclopedia, the pencil, and the books, it's Winter Wrap Up now, so I hope I didn't wake you, but, in all honesty, it is an emergency. There's a crack in my wall. Aunt Silk says it's just an ordinary crack, but, I know it's not, because at night I can hear voices. So, please, please, could you send someone to fix it, or a police man, or a royal guard, or..." Twilight was interrupted by a sudden crash outside her window. "Be right back." She stood up, and rushed toward her window.
She looked behind the window curtain, to her shed, with was crushed underneath a nine foot tall wooden box, with the words POLICE PUBLIC CALL BOX engraved on the top. Twilight looked up. "Thanks Celestia."
Twilight ran outside, grabbing a flashlight, and putting a jacket over her pajamas. She turned on the flashlight, pointing it at the box. She slowly walked closer to it, making sure she didn't step in one of the mud puddles left sitting after the storm earlier in the day.
Suddenly, the doors on the box flew open, causing Twilight to jump back. A grappling hook flew out of the box, attaching itself to a wheel barrel. Twilight could hear heavy footsteps, as if someone was climbing. Then a hand appeared on the edge of the box, shortly followed by another hand, and a man, soaking wet, appeared, smiling. He looked down at Twilight and said. "Can I have an apple?"
Twilight raised an eyebrow. "It's all I can think about, apples. I love apples. Maybe I'm having a craving! That's new, never had cravings before." He pulled himself up, swinging his leg over the box. "Oh!" He exclaimed, looking down into the box. "Look at that!"
"Are you okay?" Twilight asked.
"Just had a fall." The man explained, swinging his other leg over the box. "All the way down there, right to the library. Hell of a climb back up."
"You're soaking wet." Twilight said.
"I was in the swimming pool."
"You said you were in the library."
"So was the swimming pool."
Twilight rolled her eyes, and really got a look at what he was wearing. He wore a white dress shirt, which was torn in several areas, and a pale green tie, with brown trousers, and convers. "Are you a police man?"
"Why?" The man said, leaning forward. "Did you call a policeman?"
"Did you come about the crack in my wall?" Twilight asked.
The man's face became confused. "What cra-a!!!" He fell off the box, onto the muddy ground, clearly in pain.
Twilight backed away. "Are, are you all right?"
"I'm fine." The man said, waving his arm. "Don't worry, this is all perfectly norm-" He recoiled a bit, and then a smidgen of golden energy seeped out of his mouth.
Twilight's eyes widened. "Who are you?" She asked, curiously.
He looked at his hands, which began to glow a little bit. "I don't know yet, I'm still cooking. Does it scare you?"
Twilight cocked her head to the side. "No, it just looks...odd."
"No, no, no, the crack in your wall, does it scare you?"
"Um...yes, a little bit."
The man grinned, and leaped to his feet. "Well then, no time to loose. I'm the Doctor, do everything I tell you, don't ask stupid questions, and don't wander off." Then he turned and walked off.
Right into a haystack, causing him to fall over. "You all right?" Twilight asked, shining her flashlight on him.
"Early days, steering's a bit off."
Inside Twilight's home, Twilight grabbed an apple out of her refrigerator. "If you're a doctor, why does your box say police?"
The Doctor took the apple out of her hand, and took a bite out of it. Then he spit it out, coughing. "That's disgusting, what is that?"
"An apple."
"Apple's are rubbish, give me yogurt, yogurt's my favorite, give me yogurt."
Twilight ran across the room, and grabbed a cup of yogurt and handed it to the Doctor. He immediately opened the cup, and shoved his mouth into it, following immediate recoil and yogurt flying across the room. "I hate yogurt, it's the stuff, with bits in it."
"But, you just said it was your favorite!" Twilight said.
"New mouth," The Doctor replied, whipping yogurt from his mouth. "New rules! It's like eating after cleaning your teeth, everything tastes WRONG!!! He shifted into a few different positions, and then returned to normal, putting his hand up to his forehead.
"Is something wrong with you?" Twilight asked.
"Wrong with me?" The Doctor asked. "What's wrong with you, why can't you give me some decent food? Come on, you have a stove, fry something."
Twilight proceeded to turn the oven on, place a frying pan over it, and them start to fry bacon. "Ah, bacon!" The Doctor said, drying his hair. Once it was finished, he took a bite out of it, smiled a bit, then reached into his mouth, pulled out the bacon and said. "Bacon, that's bacon? Are you trying to poison me?"
Twilight rolled her eyes, turned on the stove, placed a pot on it, and then, poured a can of baked beans into it. "Ah, you see? Beans." But, once he took a forkful, he ran over to the sink, and spit it out sending beans flying everywhere into the sink, causing Twilight to gag a little bit. He turned to her saying: "Beans are evil. Bad, bad beans."
Twilight gave up with cooking. She grabbed a loaf of white bread, and some butter, and began to spread it onto a slice of bread. "Bread and butter." The Doctor said, sitting across the table from Twilight. She raised an eyebrow. "Now you're talking." She slid the plate across the table.
Next thing she knew, the Doctor was ran to the door, opened it up, and threw the slice of bread at a cat. "AND STAY OUT!!!" he shouted.
"We have a few carrots." Twilight said, looking in her refrigerator.
"Carrots? Are you insane!?" he replied, causing Twilight to roll her eyes again. "Wait, hang on." He walked over to the fridge, opening the freezer. "I know what I need, I need, I need, I need, fish fingers, and custard. He grabbed the two items out of the fridge, and grinning, closed it.
The Doctor and Twilight sat across from each other at the table in the kitchen. He was dipping the fish fingers into a bowl of custard, and eating it. "Funny." She said, since she was just watching him.
"Am I?" He asked, putting another custard-covered fish finger into his mouth. "Good. Funny's good. So, what's your name?"
"I'm Twilight Sparkle, a magician in training." Twilight replied. "I'm trying to get into Princess Celestia's school for Gifted Magicians, but, luck hasn't been with me so far."
"Twilight Sparkle?" The Doctor asked. "I could've sworn I've heard that name before. But, you're trying to get into Celestia's school? Does that mean we're in Canterlot?"
"No, I had to move to Ponyville. It's terrible here." Twilight replied.
"So, what about your Mum and Dad then?" The Doctor asked, looking up. "Are they upstairs? I'd have thought we might have woken them by now."
Twilight look down. "I don't have a mom and dad, just an aunt."
The Doctor dipped another fish finger into the bowl of custard. "I don't even have an aunt."
"You're fortunate."
"I know. So, you're aunt, where's she?"
"She's gone, doing some private buisness with the mayor. I hate the mayor, he acts like my father, when he really isn't." Twilight said.
"And, your aunt left you all alone?!" The Doctor asked.
"I'm not afraid." Twilight said.
"Of course not!" The Doctor replied. "Box falls out of the sky, man falls out of box, man eats fish custard." He took a bite out of the fish finger. "And look at you. Just sitting there. You know what I think?" Twilight shook her head. "I think's it's because of the scary crack in you're wall."
