Your Fluttering Heart

After a long trip you stumble across a sign that says "Welcome to Ponyville". You smile gleefully, after days of walking you are almost to your new house. Excited to see what the town you're going to live in is like, you decide to look around.

Nearly as soon as you walk past the welcoming sign, a bright blue pegasi blocks you off, looks at you and says, "I've never seen you around here before, are you the pony that bought the little house just out side the town?" Startled by the pegasus's sudden appearance you hesatently respond

"Y-yes th-that was me." Then, before the conversation proceeded, another pegasus overhead yelled, "Rainbow Dash, you can talk later we have to get these clouds back to Cloudsdale now." The light blue pegasus looked at you and said,

"That's me, I'll catch you later, I have to go" she then flew away before you could respond.

After that rather quick meeting, you continue to venture into town. As you walk down the streets you notice that they seem empty. You wonder were they are, but you decide to just head into your new house and get settled in. After a walk through the town and into the outside of town you see your new home for the first time in real life.

As you walk up the path to your front door you just keep think that it looked a bit bigger in the ad, but you still feel good about your purchase. As you walk up to your font door you take a deep breath before opening, imagining what the inside looks like.

Then as soon as you open the door you are startled by the large amounts of confetti that jump out the open door and the loud sound of many ponies saying "surprise" at the same time. You truly are surprised, it seems like everypony was in your new house to welcome you. Then snapping you out of your daze is a pink pony with a curly mane and ball on cutie marks talking to you at an extremely fast pace that you can't keep up with. Then a purple unicorn pulls you aside,

"You'll have to excuse Pinkie Pie, she gets excited easily. Oh, my name is Twilight Sparkle, you must be tired from your trip, we'll let you get settled. Come see me in the library when you'te settled in and I will show you around Ponyville." You introduce your self and agree to meet her when you are settled in.

After a couple of hours everypony starts to leave and you begin to unpack. You get most of your things put away before you turn in for the night.

You wake up after getting settled after the party. It didn't take long, since you already had your bigger things moved in, so after feeding and playing with Sheldon, your pet tortois, you decide to take up Twilights offer of showing you around. You remember walking past the library yesterday and make your way back to it. As you go to knock on the library door it opens and you see a pale yellow pegasus with a long pink mane. Then you hear the now blushing pegasus say, "Oh...excuse me, I'm sorry." You step aside and tell her there is no need to apologize, all the while you just think of how pretty she was, and you notice her strawberry scent as she walks past you and you can't help but to watch her walk away. All of a sudden a voice snaps you out of your daze as you hear Twilight greeting you,

"Hi, you got settled in pretty quickly" Twilight says looking at you

"Oh yeah I had a moving company bring my bigger things before I got to Ponyville, I just had to take things out of their boxes, I still have a little organizing to do, but I'll get it later." you respond. Then you ask, "Who was that pony that was just leaving?" But before Twilight says anything a small purple dragon walks up to the door "Hey Twilight, who is this?" asks the purple dragon.

"Spike! You know better than that" Twilight says giving the purple dragon a look of anger.

"O right, pardon me" The dragon responds, "my name is Spike I'm Twilight's assistant, nice to meet you." "That's better, we're hoping to show him around Ponyville today, he just moved here." says Twilight.

As Twilight and Spike lead you through the town, Twilight's story on the history of Ponyville is cut short "Howdy Twilight, who's your new pal there?" You look over and see an orange pony with a blonde mane and a dusty hat, selling apples. Twilight looks over and says " Hey Applejack, this is the pony that bought that house just outside of town."

"Well nice to meet ya partner." Applejack says. After you introduce yourself you, Spike, and Twilight continue walking through the town when you all get to this building Twilight says "This is the Carasoual Boutique, let's go in." As you all three go in you notice a frantic white unicorn with a curly, purple mane and tail running back and forth to different sewing machines. She then turns around and notices the three of you standing there.

"Oh, Twilight, who is your friend there?" After which you introduce yourself to the very busy looking mare. "I'm sorry I'm so busy dear, I will have to better acquaint myself with you when I'm not so busy." Says the white unicorn who turns back to her machines.

"You'll have to excuse Rarity, she is usually very kind and polite but she's very busy." Twilight remarks. "I understand" you reply. As you and Twilight turn to leave, Spike dreamily says,

"I'm going to stay and help Rarity." Looking back at the lovestruck dragon Twilight tells him "Ok Casanova". As you and Twilight walk back out she tells you

"I'm sorrySpike left us, he kind of has a thing for Rarity.

"O, that's fine" you reply, "I think I know how he feels."
You and Twilight make it to an oddly decorated building, "This is Sugar Cube Corner, Pinkie Pie and the Cakes live here."

"Pinkie is the one that threw my welcome party?" You ask.

"Yeah, she likes to throw parties." Twilight tells you. As soon as she finishes talking you here a low pitch growl.

"Oh it sounds like I'm hungry." Twilights says with a slight laugh. " Do you mind if we take a break and get a bite to eat?" Feeling a bit hungry yourself you tell Twilight,

"Actually I'm a bit hungry myself." Once you two walk in a hyper Pinkie Pie slows down enough to ask you and Twilight what you want. You both tell her and take a seat and as soon as you take a seat Pinkie comes back with food and you take the opportunity to thank her for your welcome party and then Pinkie bounces off to tend to other customers.

As you and Twilight eat she tells you "You've almost met all of my friends, except for Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy." You tell her about your brief encounter with Rainbow Dash yesterday. With excitement Twilight says "Oh, well all that leaves is Fluttershy...you know you narrowly missed her this morning. She was at the library borrowing a book right before you got there." You wonder with excitement if she was the yellow pegasus you've thought of since you seen her in Twilight's doorway. Trying to contain your enthusiasm you ask, "Is she the yellow pegasus with lovely, I mean long pink mane?"

"So you did meet her!" Twilight says excited.

"Well not exactly, we just crossed paths." you say with a slight amount of dissapointment in your voice. "My friends and I are having a picnic tomorrow, if you come you can meet her and hang out with us." Twilight tells you.

"Oh, I-I wouldn't want to impose on any of you." You say even though you would like to go.

"It wouldn't be a problem we would be fine with having another friend come." Twilight tells you with a smile.

"Well if I won't be in the way" you say.
After agreeing to go and being informed on the time and place you start the walk back home. Felling happy that you made friends already, you have a skip in your step and a smile on your face. You let your mind wander as you walk down the path to your house, unable to stop picturing that shy pegasus you came across. As you near your house you think your mind is playing tricks on you. You see the pegasus with butterflies for a cutie mark and a long pink mane and tail sitting in the road facing your house. You walk up and notice that she's playing with something. As you near closer you notice that it's Sheldon she's playing with. You just stand there and watch the adorable mare play with your beloved pet. Then Fluttershy looks up blushing and hiding in her mane

"O dear, am I in your way again. I-I'm sorry." Surprised that she remembers you you take a moment to say "Oh, you're fine where you are, I was just watching you play with Sheldon" The shy pegasus looks at you and then Sheldon, "Is he yours" she asks.

"Yes," you reply "he must have gotten out. I just moved into that house and Twilight was showing me around Ponyville. I'm glad you played with him I would just be devastated if I lost him. Thank you."

"Oh, it was no problem he was fun to play with, and he's sooo cute." Fluttershy said with a small smile petting him again.

"How long have you been playing with him?" You ask the kind pegasus. She continues playing with Sheldon and says,

"O not long, just since I left Twilight's." You respond with sorrow in your voice,

"That's been almost all day, I am so sorry."

"O it's fine, I enjoyed spending time with the little guy." she says with a smile.

"O but I'm sure you had stuff to do," you remark, "at least come in and let me give you some food, you must be starving."

"O, I-I couldn't impose." Fluttershy remarks. Then you hear another low pitch growl.

"No, it's the least I could do, for watching Sheldon." you insist.

"Well I am pretty hungry." Fluttershy says bashfully.

The two of you enter with Sheldon following right behind. "Excuse the mess, I'm still in packing." You say embarrassed of your messy house with boxes every where. You dig through one and pull out you tea kettle. You put on the tea and look in the fridge for food. All you have is sandwich stuff. You take the sandwich you managed to put together. Handing it to Fluttershy the sand which you say "Sorry this is all I have. I still need to get food since I just moved in and all." Fluttershy smiles,

"O that's okay, I'm not picky." The tea kettle screams through the house and you dash to the kitchen and back with tea and mismatched cups. Sitting in silenence you remember you never introduced yourself and thus process to do so. After introducing yourself and apologizing for not doing so earlier, you ask scratching your foreleg blushing, "So uhm, what's your name?" She looks down and let's out a barley audible "Fluttershy".

"That's quite a lovely name." You say to her.

"Thank you." She said "I have to go...it's getting late." So you show her out and say good bye. You shut the door and look at Sheldon "I hope she's at the picnic tomorrow, isn't she so adorable!"
