Your Fluttering Heart

Wrapped warmly in your blanket, you feel excited as you wake from you're peaceful sleep. Today you're going to hang out with the new friends you've made. You spring out of bed and fix breakfast with a spring in your step and a smile on your face. You fix Sheldon his food and pet him goodbye. You have to get something to bring to the picnic. As you enter the town you decide to get a delicious cake. You skip over to Sugar Cube Corner. Instead of Pinkie Pie you see two ponies, "Oh, um excuse me, where's Pinkie Pie?" you ask

"I have no idea, she's off today but what can I do you for?" said the mare.

"I need a chocolate cake please, may I ask who you are?"
"We are the Cakes. We own and run Sugar Cube Corner." Said both ponies as you paid for your cake.
You introduce yourself and thank them as you walk out the door.

As you walk onto the street you run into Twilight
"Hi, are you ready for the picnic?" she asks.
"Yeah, I think so, are you?" You ask.
"Almost I just have a couple more things things to pick up."
"Hey, Twilight" Rainbow Dash calls out hovering just above, "AJ isn't going to make it. She had to much work to coat the farm."
"She's not coming," Twilight sighed, "Rarity isn't coming either, she borrowed Spike to find more gems to finish her orders. Are you and Fluttershy still coming?"
"Fluttershy said she was and I know I am, what about Pinkie?" Dash remarked.
"I'M COMING" a jumping Pinkie shouted in mid air.
"Well that means five of us will be there counting me?" you ask
"Yeah, it's less than I expected but it will be fun." Twilight responded.

After that you all split up and then met at the picnic site for lunch. As you all five sat eating and having conversations you can't help but watch Fluttershy, she says the least but she's so adorable that she stills your attention from the rest of the group. The startling you back to reality you hear Rainbow "Hey, do you want to play with this ball?"

"Huh, what, um sure" you respond still startled.

"Well let's go then!" Rainbow cries out as you get up. After a few tosses the ball goes back and forth faster until it's a one-on-one dodgeball match between you and Dash. As you're running to catch her last throw you notice that beautiful pink mane and how the lovely pony to whom it's attached is playing with various animals and she has the most captivating smile and a breath taking sparkle in her eyes, all of which pull you from reality until she is all that you notice. BAM! You snap back to reality lying on your side. Rainbow calls out "I'm sorry" And you hear everypony ask if your alright.

"I'm fine but when did Spike and Rarity show up?" you ask.

"I finished my orders much faster than I expected, so I came just a short while after you and Dash started playing." Rarity answers you.

"O sorry I didn't notice you." You say blushing from embarrassment.

"I understand you were 'in the zone' as it where." Rarity says while blinking.

After that you all notice how late it is and begin heading home. While your walking somewhat embarrassed by the day's events, but mostly regretting that you didn't talk to Fluttershy like you planned, Twilight catches up to you, "Soo do you like any of your new friends?" She ask you with one eyebrow raised
"Yeah, you all are pretty fun and I like all of you." You tell her
"Yeah I know that but that's not what I mean."
Fearing that she picked up on your crush you look down and ask "What do you mean?"
Twilight stops in her tracks "You know what I mean. I noticed you staring at Fluttershy during the picnic. And I noticed how you got hit by that ball after you saw her, you were playing to well for that to have just been you messing up."
"OK maybe I do like her, did anypony else notice?" You ask.
"No, Rainbow isn't good at picking these things up, Fluttershy was.... you know what she was doing, Spike was staring at Rarity, who was listening to Pinkie."
"Phew, can you keep this between us?" you ask
"You know she's not seeing anypony?"
"Ha i barely know her." You tell Twilight
"Well get to know her then." Twilight says walking into her door shutting it before you can respond.
You go to bed replaying what Twilight said in your mind.
