Fight for the Equestrian World
Chapter 3
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Relax, it's only a 500 foot drop." Bright said. She had the bright idea to climb the mountains. It was starting to get cold, I was wearing a thin T-shirt after all. "Once we get to the snow, ready yourself."
"For what?" I asked.
"You'll see." We climbed more. According to Bright, we reached the snow area at high noon. She took her blade out.
"What are we doin-" She cut me off
"Shhh! Did ya hear that...?" I listened, nothing. I followed, not taking my blade out. Bright looked around. "Kyrat is full o-" She was tackled. I looked and saw a Snow Leopard on her. "DON'T JUST STAND THERE! KILL IT!" She was holding it back. She pushed it off and it looked at me, then pounced. I hit the ground and tried to hold it back. It's mouth was open and its breath was horrible. I saw a blade come out of the roof of its mouth, blood poured from it and the leopard fell onto me. Bright removed the blade. "Of surprises." She laughed. She helped me up, my shirt had blood on it. The smell made me almost faint. "And out first kill." She rolled it onto its side.
"What are y- Oh sweet Celestia!" She shoved her blade into it and began to skin it. She then took it's insides out and that's all I remember before I fainted. When I came to, Bright was shaking me.
"Come on, get the fuck up! Fuck it...I'm leaving her."
"W...what...?" Bright looked at me.
"Oh now she's awake."
"What happened...?"
"You fainted when I cut up that snow leopard. I got another one by the way." Her hands and arms had blood all over them.
"How do you do that? It's absolutely revolting!" She shrugged.
"Got used to it. Come on, the sun is setting."
"Well...how are we gonna go back." She smirked. "I'm gonna hate this again aren't I?" She went into her bag.
"Turn around." I did so.
"You're gonna love this." I could feel her putting something on me. "You are gonna have to learn quick."
"Learn what quickly...?" I tried to look at what she was doing but she hit my muzzle up.
"No lookin' till I'm done." She put something on my h- oh sweet Celestia, save me...
"No. No, no, no. No. I'm not gonna do this."
"Oh relax, it's fun!" She finished. She then stood.
"No, it's not." She frowned.
"It is. White had fun."
"Because he is crazy when it comes to stuff like that."
"I think it's fun." I rolled my eyes.
"You think everything is fun..."
"Shut yo face and get over here." I walked to her. "Now, when you get close to the edge..." She proceeded to tell me how the use it and the proper landing as well. "Got that?"
"I...I think...but I've always hatted heights..."
"That's nice. Let's get going." She ran to the edge and jumped off.
"Oh Celestia, if I die I'm gonna haunt her for the rest of her life." I ran to the edge. I didn't think about it so I wouldn't back out. I passed the point of no return when I jumped off. I went from the dive jump she showed me and I spread my arms and legs out. I stopped falling and started gliding. I did it. The sun was setting, sending beautiful colors across the sky. I looked around. It was beautiful. "THIS IS AMAZING!" I shouted over the wind. Bright pulled up and stopped sorta to let me catch up.
"SEE?! I TOLD YA!" She laughed. Soon we got to the point where we could land. I tried, but my foot landed wrong and I tripped and fell. Bright of course got a laugh from that. We walked a little to The Dome's boundaries. It was already closing up. It was halfway down. We walked in. "I'm gonna need the wingsuit back, it was a one time thing just for this." She helped me take it off.
"How long did White say he was gonna be gone for?"
"A couple days." We made our way to the village. "Ya know, maybe I was wrong about you."
"Hmm?"
"You actually jumped. I didn't think you would. Maybe you have a little Kyratian in ya after all." We made our way to the dining area. "Now, because we missed dinner...we have to look for left-overs." Most of the meat was gone, thankfully. After we ate we headed up to the village part. "Fuck, I'm tired. Ima head home."
"Okay." She left. I headed to where I was staying. I went in and locked the door behind me. I took all my gear off and sighed. I took my boots of, my feet were killing me. I yawned as I headed to the bedroom. I completely stripped down to nothing, since White wasn't here. I slid into bed and fell asleep.
(White's point of view)
We woke and got all our stuff and headed to the shops. I headed to sell some of the stuff we got on the way here. I went to sell the gator meat. He said all five pounds was ten bits. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Ten? I wrestled that thing myself. I nearly died I'm not gonna take ten bits for all this. It's five pounds."
"Ten bits, take it or leave it." He said.
"Fine." I put it away. "I'll sell this Kyratian gator meat somewhere e-"
"Kyratian gator meat?" I nodded. "100 bits for each pound."
"Deal." I took the money and gave him the meat. I walked off with 500 bits. Now to get supplies. I headed to the pelt area. "What's the best you got?"
"Maludralian Bear." I nearly choked on my own spit.
"Maludralian. As in, the area in the Corrupt?"
"That's right."
"Damn, how much?"
"400 coin." I thought.
"How much skin we talking?"
"The whole thing."
"Deal." I payed. Maludrial is way to far into the Corrupt. If you want the Bear, you have to bait it out. Even then you have a 3% chance to get it and a 2% chance to survive the encounter and a 1% chance on killing it. He gave my the skin. It weighs 25 pounds! They have thick, armor like skin to protect themselves.
"Well you sure have your hands full." I turned to see the mare from yesterday.
"Yeah, kinda." I chuckled. "Maludralian Bear comes once in a life time."
"Oh does it now?" She giggled.
"Yeah. Maludral is now deep in the Corrupt."
"So it is spreading?" I nodded. "Anyway, he's at it again."
"Your kid?" She nodded.
"There is a bully who he is trying to make back off."
"Where is he?"
"I'n the school yard." He handed her the skin.
"Hold this, I'll be back." I ran there. Sure enough, he was yelling at a much taller colt.
"I said lave her alone!" He said.
"No," The bully said. "Why don't you make me? Or am I gonna have to beat some sense into ya?" He saw the necklace I gave him. He grabbed it and ripped it off his neck.
"Hey! Give that back!"
"No, don't you know jewelry is for mares?" I got behind the bully. The other colt smirked.
"Don't you know picking on ponies is for pricks?" I asked. The bully slowly turned and looked up at me. "I'm sure you were gonna give that back, right?"
"Y-Yes sir..." He gave it to him.
"Now, leave before I show you how to really beat sense into somepony." He bolted. The colt laughed.
"Thanks! I owe ya!"
"No you don't. Just don't try that again okay?"
"Okay...I'm sorry." He looked down.
"I know what you did was the right thing to do, but don't. Tell a teacher or staff member. They'll deal with it." He nodded. "Run along now." He walked back into the school house. I turned and walked back to the mare. I nearly bumped into her.
"Thank you." She said.
"No problem."
"I'm Nova Skies by the way."
"White Tone." She handed me the skin.
"Again, thanks."
"No problem." She smiled. "I should be getting this back. See ya 'round." I headed back.
(Rarity's point of view)
It had been two days since White left. Bright would try to help me get used to this place. She tried to get me to wrestle a gator. Wrestle a gator! Not only was the water dirty and mucky, but there was a big, slimy, nasty, scaly thing in there as well. Bright said that White did this on a daily bases...maybe he is an idiot, but he is a cute one none the less. I'd mostly find myself watching the Guardians do flips and tricks. Half the stuff they did was what White did, jumping from the top of a tree and doing flips on the branches. They are crazy. Bright said that all Guardians do this, not just White. They also go out and fight every now and then, but no threats have shown up yet. Still they train with wooden dummies. Most of these ponies were good, but White said how he got that blade, Silver Dragon he called it, on his arm and how he go the blade was he was the most skilled of them all. I need to see that. I heard somepony shout that they are back. Sure enough, White along with some others came in with a whole lot of stuff. Bright was next to me. White walked over, he had what looked like to be blood on his hands and a little on his face.
"Bright, you are not gonna believe this!" He said. "Guess what I bought."
"A brain?" She said.
"Maludralian Bear skin." Brights mouth hit the ground.
"Fucking bull shit!"
"I shit you not." He said. He looked to me. "Whoa. Hey Rarity. I didn't notice ya, and I have to say; you look good in all that." I could feel myself blushing.
"Thanks." I said.
"How the fuck did you get Maludralian Bear skin?"
"They were selling it for 400."
"That cheap?!" He nodded.
"Uhh, what's a Maludralian Bear, and why is it so important?"
"Well," White said. "Maludral is now deep in The Corrupt. So it's impossible to get to it now with your life."
"And The Corrupt is...?" I asked.
"Hell," White said. "Ever since Nightmare Moon-"
"Wait what? She's back?!" I said. They looked at me.
"Yeah..." White said. "She has been for 50 years...after she killed Luna." My mouth hit the ground. "They tried to separate Moon from Luna, but Moon killed Luna in the process. Moon is the only way we can bring Luna back, but..."
"But what...?"
"Nopony has heard of or seen her for 50 years. She made The Corrupt and The Crimson to protect herself."
"The Crimson is after the Corrupt. Nopony knows what it looks like. All we know is that she said she would make them, so nopony would get her." Bright chimed in.
"Yeah," White said. "The Crimson stays put, or so we think, but The Corrupt is spreading. What it does is this: think of a cute little bunny. A soft fluffy one. Now it has become corrupt. It's now up to your knees, big purple eyes. pitch black fur with splotches of purple here and there, along with the blood of those it has killed." I gulped. "Now, a Maludralian Bear is huge, thick skin. Its taller then me. Now imagine that corrupt."
"Whoa..." Was all I could say. A stallion was running to us.
"Sir! Sir!" He ran to White.
"Yes?"
"We have received a report on an attack on a village not too far from here!"
"An attack? By what?" He shook his head.
"Not what, sir. By who. They have an army."
"What...?"
"It happened yesterday! We just got the news from a lone Guardian who survived! He said they took their Gem and attacked at night."
"..." White was speechless. "The Gem. Get some Guardians at The Temple and protect The Gem!"
"Yes sir!" He ran off. Bright looked at him.
"Looks like we may have a fight." Bright said.
"We can take them," White said. "I know we can, but if they take The Gem; even if we beat them we are dead." White ran off.
"Where are you going?!" Bright shouted.
"To protect The Gem!" He shouted back. Bright ran after him. I followed. We ran to The Temple. White was stopped outside of it. When we got closer, we knew why. Guardians, dead Guardians were on the floor outside. He slowly walked in. The Gem was gone. There was somepony on the steps. He sounded like he was in pain. He wore purple-blue colored armor. White walked to him and grabbed him and threw him to the ground. He yelped.
"Please! Don't kill me! I surrender!" White kicked him in the side. He then picked him up and turned him to us. Bright walked to him.
"Who you workin' for?" She asked.
"I'm not telling you." She took her machete out.
"I wont kill you like you said, but I will make you scream till you shred up your voice box..."
"Okay! Okay! I'll talk!"
"Who you workin' for?"
"N-Nightmare Moon!"
"Where are you going to attack us from?" White asked.
"The east!"
"The troops?"
"Foot-soldiers and Corrupt!"
"What Corrupt?"
"Arogogs! 50 to 60 of them! A Crimsonite as well!"
"A what?" White asked.
"It's like corrupt, only two times as strong! From The Crimson!"
"What is it?"
"A Maludralian Bear!"
"Oh shit..."
"We have heavies as well...please...let me go...I-I'll tell them to turn back!"
"No," White reached behind his back and pulled his blade out, the poor stallion didn't see it. "This way...it's one last soldier to worry about."
"What do y-" He was cut off. I let out a startled cry as I saw a blade come out from his chest. Some blood shot out sorta as the blade thrust through his body. The sound he made along with the blade made me want to puke. He stood there, held up by White.
"Don't ever...ever, fuck with my men." He held him there, he was looking down at the blade coming out of his chest. It had his blood on it. He was making a choking like noise. White pulled the blade out and he fell to the ground, not moving. A pool of blood formed underneath him. All I could do was stare. "Get some Guardians to get the villagers out of the village and to someplace safe. Tell the others to gear up and get ready for a fight, a big one. Tell them to meet up at the camp in no less then ten minuets." Bright nodded and ran out. White cleaned his blade and put it away. He walked over the body like he did nothing.
"Y-Y-Y-You...k-killed him..." I choked out.
"And he killed my men. He helped in taking The Gem, so that innocent could die. He is the enemy." White placed a hand on my shoulder. "Go, go with the other villagers. Some of the Guardians will take you and them to safety."
"But what about you?" I asked, looking up at him. "I wan't to stay here and help you, make sure you are safe." He sighed.
"Follow me." We began walking. Once we got to the village, there were ponies panicking and Guardians were trying to calm them down and get them out. White took me to his house.
"White...?"
"Yes?"
"What's a...Aro..thingy?"
"An Arogog?" I nodded. "It's a big spider, up to your knees. He said they were corrupt, so that means up to your chest." I shuddered. He went to the room he told me not to go in. "Wait here." He went in, then came out a little while later. He gave me a gem. "Put it away." I did so. "When you feel like you can take it, take it out. You will see everything I do. You have to hold it and say my name. You will be put into my eyes. When you want to stop, drop it." I nodded. "Now go with the Guardians." I went to the door and looked at him.
"Please, don't die..." He walked to me.
"I won't." He smiled. I opened my mouth to tell him something, but I chose not to say it. "Go." I ran out. The Guardians took me, and the other villagers out of the village, it was still high noon. We had time to make it out, and we did.
