Many people already know why the war started but this the so called real reason it started as told by Crud Hooves.

You wanna know why there was a Changeling war?  Well what they won't tell you in those history books is that the war all started because Princess Celestia broke a deal with the changelings.  Now I this sounds like conspiracy mumbo jumbo but it's true.  Princess Celstia was supposed to send so and so amount of ponies to the changelings and she did until she ran of people to give and that made the Changeling Queen mad.  So like dicks the changelings started war and started taking over towns and villages sucking the life out of ponies.  Now that's the real reason dam history books won't tell you truth, why?

The illuminati of course.  If ponies found out the real reason they rebel and ya can't and I say ya can't banish all your problems to the moon.  So Celestia I be scared because your mind spells don't work on every one oh no they don't.  One day we'll have someone powerful enough that knows the truth to banish Celestia to the moon.  Until then you better reconsider your plans Celestia or should I saw cow.

Although many ponies believe in this theory it's not true.  The real reason is that in desperate times the changelings were hungry.  So they told Equestria to surrender or they'll be war.  Turns out Equestria wasn't just go and surrender that easily so Queen Chrysalis unacted war on Equestria.  Crud tells us how he found out.

I remember how I found out.  I was walking to work I heard the news filly yell "News papers 25 cents! Big news!"  I decided to buy a paper like I always do when there is big news.  Now a days big news is "Celestia's cake obsession goes to far!" and other stupid shit like that.  I still have the paper to this day.

We asked if we could put the newspaper in our story and he said yes.  This is that very news paper.

Equetria

Shocking news the changelings have announced war on Equestria.  So far 7 towns have been taken over by the Changeling army.  What does Princess Celestia say?  Well Princess Celestia told me this "We need all the help we need any ponies wana join the war may join.  We need you."  Like Clestia said Celestia needs you to fight for your family, no your country, no the word needs you!

Crud Hooves was one of the first to sign up.  He and many other ponies signed up for the war.  Some that joined wanted peace, fame, and justice.  But Crud told us what he wanted from the war.

When I was a young lad my father told me "A trues stallion fights for his country or dies trying!"  I joined not just because it's what a stallion does.  I did it because it because I could and the chance that I could kill.  What, you never wanted to kill someone just for the experience?  Well then your rather a pussy or a liar.

So the war began and now we get a team of soldiers experience of that very war.
