Harmony in the Blade

Harmony's POV

I woke up the next morning and got up. I was fast... and i had to be fast.  By the time i was in the kitchen my mother was already there too. She's always been the early bird... if i'm honest with ya it's not that early.

"Morning mom." I told her.

"Morning sweetheart... Sleep well?" She asked me.

"Yes... Need help mom?" I asked her.

"Oh yes please." She replied. So we both got to work with the breakfast. Soon each of our guests and family came in one by one each giving in their 'goodmornings' and we gave ours to them. My unkle and Celestia were the first ones to come. Both of them were having a pleasent chat. Next came in the married couple Cadence and Shining armour. Right after that came in Luna abd Blueblood. We were all chatting and waiting for breakfast to finish of when the little colt from last time came in lawning.

"Morning Tiger." My mother said.

"Morning Grandma has mom come home yet?" He replied with a yawn.

"Morning sleepy head." I said all of a sudden. He fliped around and ran to give me a hug. I giggled when he did this.

"You're back." He said hugging me tighter.

"Yes i am... Why? Did yout think i would never come back?" I asked him

"Uh huh..." He replied with a nod.

"I wouldn't leave even if i was being mind controlled." i told him with a calm voice.

"Promise mommy?" He asked me. When Blueblood heard this he started to think the worst.

"Mommy?" said Blueblood under his breath.

"I promise. Now go to the table and then later we can all go play outside with Mewdows animals." I said with a happy tone.

"Okay mommy..."Tiger replied.I smiled as he turned around and went to the table. He sat right next to my unkle. He started to giggle when

the had finished their own little hoof bump. I rolled my eyes. Once breakfast was served we all ate happily with my sitting next to Vlueblood and my adoptive son. By the time we had all finished i already had Tiger annoying me to go outside.

"Tiger please wait." I told him.

"Please can we go? please? Please Pleaaaasseee???" He asked me doing those puppy god eyes.

"Fine. I give but go fetch Honey... It's check up day with grampa today." I replied to him not being able to ignore those puppy dog eyes. He

cheared and went to get honey [his bet bird.]

"Is is like that every morning?" Celestia asked me with a giggle.

"Oh yes... He's very enerygetic at this age i'm not surprised." I replied with a giggle.

"He'll grow out of it... then he's going to start training and then flop on the bed when he gets there." My unkle Summersword said with a

giggle.

"I know i did." My mother stated with a giggle.

"Yes... after you bugged me." SummerSword said rolling his eyes. My mother just giggled and shrugged.

"Right... I better start putting these away before that little guy comes and starts to bug me again..." I told them with a giggle.

"I'll help." Luna offered. I giggled as she picked up some of the plates with her magic and put them in the kitchen. Soon with Lunas' help i

was done. Once they had startted to chat again Tiger came in.

"I've got Honey checked. NOW can we go out side? Please? I wanna see you train." He exclaimed. I giggled.

"I thought you wanted to go and play." I told him with a giggle.

"Maybe later if you're up to it. But i SERIOUSLY want to see you train." He replied to me with exitement.

"Fine... But stay back... I don't want you getting hurt." I warned him.

"Harmony? Fighting? Now this is gotta see." Exclaimed Shining getting up.

"I'll bet she's better than the captain of the royal guards... Shining armour..." Tiger said with a sly grin.

"I'll not say nothing... I'm off training. Coming Tiger?" I asked not wanting to get into something bad. He nodded and went outside with me.

Shining followed us to see me training. The others came up too. Outside my mother was waiting for me and had set up training.

"Okay... nice to see you on time Harmony." My mother welcomed.

"Nice to be here... What are we going to be doing today mom?" I asked putting Tiger down next to Shining who wanted to see how well i

fought.

"Next bit of training now sweetheart. But you've gotta try this one on your own before i can teach you." She told me.

"Perfect..." I told myself.

"Get the things you think you will need for the mission... they are on the side." I nodded and went to get them. I went to the side and started

to choose carefully what i should take and what i should not. There were my two favorite  weapons... So i took them two. I then stood by the starting line with my mother navegating my 'misson' on the side.

"Okay... What am i meant to do?" I asked ready for anything.

"Okay... Right at the end is the princesses most prized jewel. Your mission is to gather it at the end of the course... BUT careful. There will be

traps and bits in the way. You must avoid them all and get there... Got it?" She explained. I nodded.

"Let's do this." I said in my starting position. She nodded and started the course.

"Retrieve the crown." She souted all of the sudden. I knew that was my 'go' and so i darted through the course with my two swords on my back. I ran and ran until i got to my first trap. I avoided all of them. Jumping flipping and crawling out of the way expertly. Once i had laded from the chaos i kept on running. i knew i couldn't stop nore look back right now... i could only look forwards. Soon... came in the shadow guards.. i knew they would come along edventually... they always come. I expertly fought them as if they were play dolls. But it became more of a challange when more than one attacked me. I made it through flipping and slashing through them. The dissepired once they were touched by my swords. My mother was always watching me. Navegating my misson and was my 'commander in charge' and she controlled the misson. I then came up to the jewel... But stopped... This was easy... TOO easy for my liking...

"Why'd she stop?" asked Celestia to my unkle.

"When on a misson you must always expect something... it's never over..." He replied. Out of nowhere i took out some powder and blew it at the piece of glass that held the jewel.Slowly but graduely red lazers apered and i smiled. I knew it. Never stop expecting something in a mission. I then carefully lifted the glas high enough so i could fit the jewel through but low enough so the lazers wouldn't hit the glass. Then with some summer salts and flips in the air i was able to get back to where i started without needing to go through the trouble of the traps and the shadow guards. I gave in the jewel to my 'commander' or my mother and she looked happy with the results.

"That was as easy as pie." I told her giving in what i was placed to bring back. My mothers laughed.

"Well... I know one thing for sure you've improved since we've started." She told me with a laugh. Then Tiger... My adoptive son came to give me a hug.

"You were awesome mom..." He praied with a hug which i happily returned.

"You'll get there too honey you just have to wait. Until then i don't want you to grow up." I told him with a giggle. He nodded and gave me one more hug before he went off. Blueblood and Shining armour trotted up to me next.

"That was great Honey. You did fab... Like always." Said with a smile giving me a kiss which i happily returned.

"You should join the guards one day Harmony... It would be nice to have you around." Shining Said with a smile. I giggled.

"I don't know... Might do... but i can't help but not want to move from my family... That and i am a mother... so i have respsibilities." I replied.

"You should be a trainer. It would be nice to have you there... you're a great fighter." Shining complemented.

"Tell you what. I'll come in mornings for some training sessons and i'll go in the afternoon." I proposed.

"That would be fab." He replied.

"But i'm gonna have to bring Tiger with me... Is that okay?" I asked. He nodded.

"Sure. What do you think of starting tomorrow?" He asked. I nodded. With that he smiled and with Cadence he went inside. I giggled.

"Looks like we're going on a trip Tiger." I told my little colt. He smiled and started to jump.

"This is SOOOO COOL. Oh i have to pack up mom... Oh my gosh what though? Oh Grampa. I need some help." He said running inside.

"Oh he's just cute like that... Want to go for a walk aroung Blueblood?" I asked. He nodded. We went out of the back yard and to the

medows. They were lovely medows full of flower feilds and colors. We walked around for some time then we stopped and sat down. We

then went silence then he broke the silence.

"It's been nice to be here. Yow have such a nice family." He commented.

"Okay... What's wrong Sweetheart?" I asked him.

"What do you mean what's wrong?" He told me with an innicont voice. I just giggled.

"Don't be silly. I KNOW when you're hiding something... Is it Tiger?" I asked him. He sighed.

"Who is the father of the child?" He asked me with a little bit of anger in his voice.

"Before you go all nutty. He's been adopted... Is that what you're worrying about?" I asked. He nodded. I put his head up to leval with mine

and gave him a kiss. It lasted only for seconds but it felt like years. When we broke up we stared into eachother's eyes.

"Sorry for just assuming that type of stuff but..." He apolagised.

"Hey... anypony would do the same... But start to think of him as a son okay? and you're the wonderful sweet and careing and adorable

father" I told him.

"I will do... When WE have our own kids." He said with a sly grin. i blushed and looked down at my hooves. He giggled. We then went inside

and found Tiger bugging my grandfather Medow. I gigged when i saw this.

"Can we can we can we can we can we can we c-" He said until Medow intrrupted him.

"Why don't you go and ask mommy?" He told him. I giggled.

"What is it this time?" I asked him.

"Can i please have the key to one of our libraries? Please?" He asked. I giggled.

"Yes of course we can. But try to be paitient honey." I replied. He nodded and we all went to get the key for it. Once we were there and i

opened the library he ran inside to a part he always went to. It was double the size of the canterlot castle library... Boy twilight would LOVE

this place. I giggled when my adoptive son went to fetch his book.

"Boy i know my aunties student would LOVE this place..." Blueblood stated. I laughed.

"I should tell Twilight to come over. I know her friends would LOVE this place." I told him. He agreed with me. Soon after some time Tiger

came back with a book he was intrested in. Not only that but he also had his muzzle stuck in it. We both giggled at how he could do

everything while reading... In my words... i thought it was adorable. We closed up the library and went outside for a little. While Blueblood

took care of Tiger i took a bit of training time. There was that one piece of training i could not do. It was just... TOO fustrating. I took a deep

breath and started to train. It was only with my two swords. Even though i mastered them ages ago i just can't  help but feel that i could use

more work on this type of stuff. My unkle SummerSword and Shining armour along with Cadence and Celetia came outside for a second.

They saw me training and my unkle had an idea and a sly smile on his face. Shining read his mind and both took out a sword and made

their way to the training ground. I knew they wanted to attack my so i pretended to not know they were there. Just when my unkle was

about to take the first strike i spun around and blocked him just in time. I fought him from then on. He was just as skilled as me but i was

better... I NEEDED to be better. We i managed to flick his weapon off him i spun aroung and found Shining trying to sneak up on me. I

rapidly started to fight him. Soon my unkle joined in. I found this entertaining but i kept my mind on focus. Soon my unkle was worn off and

joined the other ponies at the side watching. Now it was me and Shining armour on the ground. He stared at me just as i did to him.

"You're the fighter huh? Let's try you against me then..." He said under his breath but loud enough for me to hear. I smirked and said...

"Bring it..." With that said he charged at me. I smiled at how he was eager to learn some new moves. I dodged him easily as he kept on

trying to attack me but kept on failing. He then swung his sword at me and i rapidly blocked it.

"Some fighting skills." He muttered under his breath. He swung the sword at me and i took the chance and swung my sword making

a 'clang' against his. I then made them both go round and round and at the right time i flicked his and made it clash against the ground.

"Never underestimate..." I told him as i helped him up. He nodded as he tried to catch his breath.

"That was tough..." He admitted.

"Seriously? I thought it was nice and easy." I told him with a smile. He knew i found it easy but he still gave a nice laugh. We trotted over to

the others who were waiting for us to join them.

"Great fight you two." My unkle told us with a laugh.

"Thanks unkle... But it was too easy." I told him with a laugh.

"Really? You gave me some complex moves." Shining Told me. I giggled.

"I could have won you state at the first shot... But i decided to play along." I told him.

"In that case... I wonder what you'd look like in armour. Back in canterlot we really need somepony like ya there." He told me with a giggle.

"I would if i didn't have... responsibilities here." I told him with a giggle. He shrugged and went inside with Cadence following him with a

giggle.

"Mommy. You've gotta see this." Tiger told me with a shout.

"What is it this time Tiger?" I asked him. He trotted over to me with his book closed and 'bookmarked'.

"Look mommy." He told me. I rolled his eyes as he showed me it. I laughed. It turns out our family album was in the library.... huh? Doing

what? No idea...

"It's our family album... Unkle must have put it there again..." I told him with a giggle.

"Yes... hey. our family has an entire line of alicorns." He pointed out. I giggled.

"It's another gift... and heavens blessed us with it." I told him. he smiled and hugged me which i returned happily. I trotted over to Blueblood

who gave me a hug and a kiss.

"Great fight honey... Wouldn't be overwhelmed if aunty got you to be her personal guard." He told me which made me blush.

"No way. I'm happy here and i prefer to stay with my family..." I told him rolling my eyes at him. he leaned over to me and whispered;

"What about our family?..."

"We're not even married and you're already thinkning of that?" I asked him surprised.

"Can't i dream?" He asked me nuzzling me. I rolled my eyes.

"Of course you can... when the time comes... 'Till then... wait." I told him. after some giggles and eyes rolling we went inside. Soon it was

dinner time. Ponies were talking and chatting at the dinner table. I wasn't really talking... at all. I was in deep thought... thinking about what

Blueblood had told me earlier. 'Starting a family??? With blueblood? I'm not even married... But he's soo sweet. But i've not even told him about... it. I don't think he would

like me after i told him that... Should i tell him?...' i thought. I was soon noticed by Princes Luna who snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Harmony. are you alright? You've been... weird lately." Luna asked me. I put a smile on my face and looked up at her.

"Yes sorry i was... lost in thought." I replied to her.

"are you sure?" she asked me. I nodded.

"Yes... Will you please excuse me." I said. They all nodded and with that i went out of the table and went to my room. I was alone at last...

perfect. I went out of my room and went down the hall. I kept on trotting past all of the doors in my sight until i saw a door with a drum on

it. I smiled and entered it. Inside was intruments after instruments.  I loved to play them. I knew how to play every single one. From the

triangle or the bell to the Guitar and piano... Oh the piano was my favorite. I could play it forever and never get tired of it. I heard somepony

trotting behind me so i turned around and saw everypony behind me. I giggled.

"Umm... Hi everypony?" I said giggling.

"Back in here huh? One thing she likes more than training and a few other things is playing music." My mother said wth giggles.

"Yeah... Wanna here me play? I was just going to play a little bit of the piano until you came and showed up." I told them. They all nonned

and took a seat while i sat infront on the piano. With my hooves i started to play the intro to a song i've heard. Let's just say that... the

singer... isn't from around. When the times came i started to sing which got our guests by surprise.

The snow glows bright on the mountain tonight

not a hoof print... to be seen...

a kingdom of icolation

and it looks like... i'm the queen..

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.

couldn't keep it in... heaven knows i've... tried...

I kept on playing the piano while i wasn't singing. I loved this song. I was forgettig the fact i wasn't alone. It felt like i was on my own and so i became more relaxed. Just enjoying the melody of the piano. Soon i began singing again.

It's funny how some distance... makes everything seem small

and the fears that once controlled me... can't get to me at all.

It's time to see what i can do to test the limits and break through.

No right no wrong to rules for me

I started to play the piano alone again. But this time i played as if somepony was making something out of magic not caring if other were wating. [heard that somewhere???] I soon started to sing again. Taking a deep breath before i started.

My power fluries through the air into the ground.

my soal is spiraling is frozen fractals all around.

and one thought crystalisis like an icy blast..

I finished the song and was rapidly brought back to the real world when i heard ponies claping behind me. I turned around and smiled. When they stopped claping Celestia started to speak.

"That was lovely Harmony." Celestia said with a smile which i happily returned.

"Thank you Celestia. I love the classics." I told her with a giggle. Blueblood walked up to me and nuzzled me.

"You did great honey." He complemented.

"Thank you..." I replied nuzzling him back.

"Well... the sun isn't going to lower its slef so if everypony will excuse me... Celestia excused herself and so did luna and everypony did the

same. I was left with blueblood.

"I'm going to put Tiger to bed... want to come with me?" I asked. He nodded and so we went out of the music room and went to find my

adoptive son. We found him reading in his bed room... typical...

"The pegasus is a type of pony with wings who has a better understanding of arodynamics a-"He read until i interrupted him.

"Hey Tiger." I said with a smile trotting into the room with Blueblood.

"Hi mommy... Hi Blueblood. Is everything okay?" He asked us rasing his head from his book.

"Everything is fine but it's bedtime now." I told him. Blueblood walked up to me and stood next to me.

"Okay mommy... But can i ask you something?" He asked me.

"Of course you can. What is it sweetie?" I replied to him.

"Is it true a pegasus and alicorns needs to understand arodynamics more than other pony races?" He asked me. I smiled at him and nodded.

"Yes they do. It's because they have wings. On like Unicorn need to understand magic and Earth ponies need to rely on unicorns and pegusi

for their lives too. While also needing to understand sciance." I replied to him.

"Okay... thank you for the answer. Night mommy. Night Blueblood." He said. I gave him a kiss on his forhead while he gave a hug to

Blueblood which for me was a very adorable sight. Once he was in bed we both went to my room and stayed there for some time. Talking

and chatting and giggling. When we both went into silence he notced something wrong with me and snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Honey... are you okay?" He asked me.

"Huh? Oh yes... sorry... just some thoughts..." I replied to him with a smile

"I know something is wrong. Harmony you can tell me if something is wrong you know..." He told me with a smile. I sighed.

"Have you always wanted to be a father?" I asked him. This must of caught him by surprise.

"What makes you think that sweetheart?" I asked her.

"You've been sorta saying that since you came here." I replied to him with a smirk. He gave a slight giggle.

"Yes... I would love to become a father... but only when i'm married." He replied to me. i smiled.

"Yes... anyways... it's late you should be getting to bed now. Your family me and Tiger are travling to canterlot tomorrow so we have to be

up and early." I told him.

"Oh yes... You agreed to help out in our royal guards training... They'll be having a surprise when you arrive." He told me with a giggle.

"Lesson one... Underestimation. Never underestimate your enemy... You never know what tricks they have with them." I told him with a

giggle.

"I have a feeling tomorrow will be very... interesting... anyways goodnight honey sleep well." He told me nuzzing me.

"Goodnight sweetheart." I replied to him nuzzling him back. Once he was gone i lay on my bed tucked under my covers. 'Tomorrow will be

very intresting...' I thought as i fell asleep.
