Harmony in the Blade

I woke up early in the morning with the sun hitting my face... and my son jumping up and down on my bed.

"Mommy wake up. wake up wake up wake u-" He repeted before i threw him on of my pillows and he fell on my bed.

"Im awake im awake... holy Celestia what time is it?" I asked with a groan.

"It's time to get up. Grandma and the princesses are awake... the others are still sleeping but those three are awake... and me." He

exclaimed with a huge smile that i could see once he had gotten up from the pillow i'd thrown at him.

"I'm up and awake... go and get your sattle bags we have to check you have everything before we go to Canterlot." I told him while rubbing

my eyes as they ajusted to the light. Tiger nodded and trotted away to grab his things while i got up and ready. after some time of waking

up i went to the dining room where Princesses Celestia and Luna were with my mother chatting. I rolled my eyes and trotted over to them.

"Morning sleepy head... Sleep well?" My mother asked me with a giggle and a hug which a happily returned.

"Yes... but my son or should i say 'wake up alarm' woke me up... Kids these days." I said with a giggle.

"Like you weren't the same." My mother said with a giggle.

"at least i was loads less energetic." I replied to her while rolling my eyes.

"She's got a point sis." Said the voice of my unkle who was standing behind us.

"Morning SummerSword." Celestia said with a sigh... one which me and Luna giggled at.

"How? She was just as bouncy as her son." My mother exclaimed.

"Yes... Reading a book bouncy." My unkle replied rolling his eyes and taking a seat next to Celestia who giggled while Luna rolled her eyes.

"Right... Here comes my alarm..." I giggled when he cam to us literally bouncing.

"I've got my sattlebags. I can't wait to go with you mommy. This is going to be awesome." He exclaimed. I giggled.

"Yes But you have to stay close to me.  You might get lost considering it's a huge place." I warned him as he gave me his sattlebags.

"I promise i will mom." He told me with a smile.

"Perfect. Now lets see... Books... and more books... I've got a real book worm for a son... I know Twilight will grow to like you." I told him with

a smile. But he just gave me a confused face.

"Who's Twilight mommy?" He asked me I giggled and looked at Celestia who smiled.

"She's my number one student and aprentice." She replied for me. I nodded.

"There you go. Best in magic too." I added.

"awesome... I wonder if she can help me out with this entire areodynamics thing... That might help me." He told me. When he did it made

me giggle.

"Maybe... no wait probably. I spent the day with Twilight and she knows LOTS of stuff..." i told him.

"awesome..." He said with a huge smile. I rolled my eyes and sighed. Just at that moment the others trotted through the door.

"Morning you three." Celestia said with a giggle.

"Sorry for the wait but most of us went to bed a little later than normal... How have you all been this fine morning?" Blueblood asked

trotting up to me and nuzzling me.

"No worries everything is fine... My alarm here woke me up earlyer than i wanted to." I said looking at Tiger who had his nose stuck in his

book which made both of us giggle a bit. So we each had breakfast and set off... after saying goodbye to the others. We set off into the

Everfree forest after that... Oh boy that was something we shouldn't have done...

"This place is creepy..." Tiger stated on my back hiding from all the shadows he saw.

"Don't you worry. We'll all be right here. Nothing is going to take you." I assured calmly. Suddenly we heard something move... something

came out of the bush. Itlooked like a unicorn... But we couldn't see him because of the shadows that were surrounding him. He looked like a

colt from his size and posture. But when he opened his eyes... that... was what scared us all nearly half to death. His eyes were an evil red...

ones that we feared... but ones who i glared at. I levatated Tiger off my back and put him on Cadence for safty.

"Looks like i've got some company... and so will death...." He said with an evil laugh and voice. It was deep... and shadow like. He then

attacked me but i blocked it like i knew it was coming.

"Run." I shouted. With that they ran... all but Shining armour who stayed back to help me.

"Ran into this guy before?" He asked me.

"Let's just say... It's been a while..." i replied to him dodging one of the enemies attacks.

"Okay fill me in with this guy.... one word to describe him is???" He asked me dodging on oh his attacks.

"Unpredictable." I replied to him charging up my horn. Soon a blinding light came from my horn and soon two magic swords appered. I

smirked and passed him one.

"Do as i say in this or it will never work... on three stab the sword in the ground when i start counting down... got it?" I shouted to him. By

now it was loud so we both had to shout. He nodded. as the 'demond' came closer to us he kept on shooting... spells at us... wait a second...

where did all the wind come from? Must be from the suspence... oh well. We both stood there with his attacking both of us. We then stood

side by side and he started to come close to us... not knowing what would happen next to him. By time he got really close and the attacks

got stronger. But i just stood there with my head held up high. Shining armour was shm aking but tried not to show any signs of weakness.

as our enemy got closer he got more scared and worried but i only stood there... breathing heavily from the tention that was building up

inside of both of us. Shining was starting to get really worried and was starting to show it.

"Uhhh.... Harmony?" He shouted to me. I could hear him but i kept my focus on the attacker. He kept on shouting my name until i answered.

"On three stick the sword on the ground and run my direction to the castle. I'll meet you there okay?" I shouted to him.

"What about you?" He shouted full of consern.

"I'll be fine. But you have to go... ready?" I asked him.

"Yes ma'am." He souted to me. I nodded...

"Three." I started. i kept on counting while he got his sword ready.

"Two." I shouted. It's wasn't long 'till zero.

"One." I shouted again. By now our enemy was close enough to kill us with one attack... he was about to do so...

"ZERO." I shouted. at the same time we both stuck our swords in the ground making them shine a blinding light. It lasted long enough for

Shining to run. When the light started to fade i started my attack... there is where one of my problems started....

NOPONY'S POV

Everypony was running towards the castle when they saw Shining armour catching up with them from behind. He soon caught up to

Cadence who currently had Tiger on her back.

"Where's Harmony?" Cadence asked Shining armour.

"She had to stay back. Don't worry i know she'll be strong and come back." Shining replied looking back. 'I hope at least...' He though in his

head. By the time they reached the castle they saw a blinding light coming from where Harmony was.

"MOMMY." Tiger shouted.

"Shh.... It's okay Tiger. She'll be fine. Come on let's go inside" Cadence said with a soft voice calming the young colt and wiping away his

tears. We ran inside panting. Summersword ran to us scared of what happened.

"Tiger? Celestia? What's wrong? Where's Harmony?" He asked.

"Walking... Evil guy... attacks... BIG EXPLOSION." Luna exclaimed between pants from all the running. Tiger ran to him crying his eyes out.

"I. want. My. Mommy..." He cried hugging his unkle.

"She'll come back... i promise that." He reassured.

"How do you know? S-she might be gone for all we know." He cried out more.

"Somepony talking about me?" Said a voice. They all turned around to see Harmony at the door with a smile and unharmed... or it seemed.

Tiger ran from his unkle to his mother and gave her a hug which she happily returned. Blueblood joined giving her a hug. The three looked

like a real family...Happy... and united. Once their hug was done with Blueblood started asking her the usual things.

"are you okay? are you hurt? Is everything okay?" He asked. Harmony bit her lip a little before showing the back of her left front hoof.... They

all gasped. It was turning a dark grey from an attack that hit her there.

"Oh no..." Muttered Cadence.

"a-are you okay sweetie? Oh sweet Celestia... how in the name of the my auntie Celestia what happened with you?" Said Blueblood not

being able to get his eyes off the dark hoof where the dark grey was spreading.

"Here... I know how to get rid of that... Come with me." Summersword said. Harmony nodded and followed him with Tiger who was

following close behind.

Harmonys' POV

I was in the medical bit of my home due to the attack. By now my hoof was fully a dark grey color. It didn't hurt but it was scary. My unkle

came in with a kneedle he was holding with his magic.

"Why does this happen to me?" I asked.

"Because you're the best fighter and harmony maker in the world... now hold still It'll just take a second." He replied to me. He gave me the

shot and in the blinck of an eye my hoof started to go back to it's perly white. I sighed a sigh of relife.

"Oh perfect... Finally... i never liked dark grey as much as perly white." I stated with a giggle.

"Okay go one now... you've got a son to atend to." My unkle said with a giggle. I smiled a sly smile.

"Sooo.... when are YOU going to give me a cousin?" I told him.

"Whenever i get a wife..." He replied rolling his eyes.

"Don't be so modest. I've seen the way you look at Celestia... and the way she looks at you..." I said muttering the last but under my breath

with a giggle seeing his blush.

"We're both friends and i don't think she likes me that much." He told me hiding his blush.

"Oh please. I know a crush when i see one." I told him.

"You know what happened before i don't want to risk it again." He told me. i rolled my eyes.

"She's already a princess..." I muttered under my breath... but he still heard me.

"Yes but i prefer NOT to date or to marry a princess... you KNOW how i feel about ruling." He said.

"But we DO rule. We rule our OWN little part of the world and our kingdom is double the size of what THEY rule." I told him.

"But OUR ponies know us. They also know about the other princesses... and about THEIR OWN." He told me.

"We are NOT going to talk about this again. I'm not going to tell them yet... I've never wanted to BE  a princess by blood." I argued.

"So you wish you weren't our blood?" He asked.

"I NEVER said that. I'm just NOT ready to tell them I'M A PRINCESS." I shouted. Little did i know that Celestia was listening.

"Fine... Sorry... But go to rest a little for now Harmony... We'll get the family home tomorrow" He told me. I sighed and trotted over to my

room. By the time i was settled i heard a knock on the door... then i groaned.

"Come on in." I shouted trying to not sound grumpy.

"I hope i'm not intruding on anything Harmony." Said the voice of Celestia. Her head popped inside my room which made me giggle.

"No of course you're not come on in." I replied to her with a meaning smile.

"are you alright Harmony?" She asked me sitting next to me.

"Of course... or not..." I admitted.

"You can tell me you know... I wont judge." She told me with a giggle.

"It's sort of complex..." I muttered. But she just smiled.

"Harmony... I'm the princess of the biggest empire ever and godess of the sun... i think what's complex to you is a little more of a bug to

me." She told me which made me giggle.

"I will tell you but you must promise to keep it on the hush hush side... okay?" I asked.

"I promise not to say your secret to a sole." She promised. I let out a sigh.

"Follow me." She followed me through the hall way and we both edventually ended up in a room with a window closed. She looked at me

confused. I sighed and trotted to it and opened it. There was a balcony and when you walked onto it... you were in heaven. Just standing

there you saw an entire kingdom. Double the size of Equestria. Lush and green. Full of trees and happy ponies. Colorful and eye catching

and sweet smelling. I knew this got Celestia because her jaw was nailed to the floor.

"This is double the size of where i live..." She said looking at me.

"The kingdom of Paradise... My Kingdom..." I said with a smile.

"So you're the..." She said trailing off. I nodded and walked back to my room closing the window with Celestia right behind me. We trotted to

my room again.

"I can solve the problems. I can take on the challenges. I can rule the Kingdom... But when it comes to wearing the crown..." I trailed off. By

now we've reacher my room and opened my closet and the box whoch contained my crown. I held it up infront of me.

"But..." Celestia said for me to continue.

"I fail... I solve the problems. I take the challenges. I'm able to rule the kingdom... but when i wear my crown... I fail..." I continued putting my

crown away and closing my closet. Sighing we both sat down on my bed with Celestia giving me a understanding smile.

"I know how you feel Harmony... I was just as unsure as you when i started to wear my crown." She spoke softly to me. I bit my lip and

sighed.

"But you have a co-ruler. Mine was... let's say not fit for the job..." I told her.

"You have a sister?" She asked my in surprise. This made me giggle.

"No... a brother. a twin brother but... We're nothing a-like." I replied to her.

"What was he like?" She asked.

"I don't think it's a good idea if you knew... nore you or the other... espeshally cadence and Shining armour." I replied to her. She nodded.

"Perfectly fine... But i think you should tell the others about this soon. I wont do it because it's your desition but in my opinion you should

tell them." She said softly. I sighed. I knew she was right but i didn't really want to say but i had to some day or another. Mainly to Blueblood

or i'll be hinding who i really was... and that isn't right.

"I'm starting to wonder if it's too late to give up my crown..." I stated jokingly. This made both of us laugh a little.

"Trust me Harmony. The desitions are the hardest but it's a great job and  sometimes it has its perks here and there." She told me with a

giggle. and with that done she excused herself... and so... i fell asleep...

I soon woke up again. From what i could tell it was afternoon so i slept a good few hours. Getting up and stretching i soon got myself ready and trotted to the dining room. There i saw most ponies sitting there chatting. One of them was my mother. When she noticed me she smiled.

"Hey there sleepy head. Sleep well?" She asked me with a chuckle. i rolled my eyes and giggled.

"Just perfect... But we have to get someponies home tomorrow..." I told her.

"I don't think you're in condition Harmony. We'll be fine I'll just teleport us there." Celestia said with a smile.

"Fine... I still have to go too anyways. I promised Shining armour i'd help him in morning training." I told her.

"Oh yes... those guards are going to be surprised..." Luna stated with a chuckle. I then saw my son with his nose stuck in a book... again. I

trotted over to him.

"Hi Tiger. What are you reading this time?" I asked him. He looked up and smiled.

"I've been checking out this areodynamic stuff and i'm going to say it's not as hard as ponies think it is." He replied. The others but me and

my mother were surprised when he answered.

"There's my little boy... So adorable." I commented. Tiger blushed a very light blush but easily shook it off and put a smile on his face as he

hugged me. I hugged back and gave him a smile.

"I love you mommy." He said.

"I love you too... now let's get you doing something active. You can't keep on sitting in the castle all day. it's unhealthy." I told him. He

giggled and laughed. I did the same. So he hopped off his chair and ran outside for a little. I sighed and turned to see the other smiling at

me.

"adorable..." My mother said. I sighed and sat next to the girls.

"I can take care of a child but i can't wear a stupid crowm... WHY...." I moaned. Grunting i slamed my head on the table which made the

others chuckle.

"You'll get there... Just... Try for a day." Celestia suggested. I lifted my head gave a grunt and slamed it back down again.

"My sister is right Harmony. Try to wear it for a day and see how that comes along." Luna agreed.

"Come on Harmony. That crown has been worn for centuries and now it's your turn to wear it. We'll be there for you every step of the way."

My mother encouraged. I sighed.

"Fine... it's court day anyways... WWWWHHHYYYYY...." I groaned. The others giggled while i rolled my eyes. We all made our way to my room.

I got ready while they talked. When i stepped out i was wearing my crown and i had my wings out and was wearning my dress. I sighed as i

walked to them.

"I. Hate. Court day..." I muttered trying on a smile. They all giggled.

"Lovely... Not so hard now is it sweetie?" My mother said putting up the crown on my head propally. I took a deep breath and smiled. We

started to walk to the throne rom ready for the day i hated the most... court day. For our Empire court day was mainly for any suggestions

to help improve the town. Like if any more buildings were needed schools and a whole load more things i find a little boring. We trotted in

the throne room. It was guarded by two guards who smiled. I nodded and they let us in. Inside was the throne room. It was decorated with

pastel colors making it look... harmonic... and... happy. I sighed as i took my seat at the throne which was a gold color. I was never one to

like the attention ponies gave me for being a princess. I sighed.

"Princess. are you ready for this day?" a guard asked.

"I wish i wasn't... But let us prossed please." I replied to him. He giggled.

"Do not worry Princess. Once today is over you'll be able to go back to being yourself... Just one day... Now if you'll excuse me i think i'll let

the first pony in." He told me with a chuckle. I sighed and nodded my head. The first pony who entered was a pegasus. She... [Yes SHE] had

a light pink coat with her main and tail having loose curls Her cutiemark was a chalk board with a book infront of it indecating she was a

teacher.  She smiled and gave a bow. I smiled back... really not likeing the bow but i just faked it was normal for me... it wasn't...

"Hello and welcome to Court day. What's your name dear?" I asked her. She rose and smiled.

"Hello Princess. My name is Happybook." She replied shyly.

"It's lovely to meet you HappyBook. So... How do you think i might be able to help you?" I asked her with a welcoming smile.

"Well...Princess i suggest we build more schools for the young Fillies and Colts. Our schools are so full we may need some more." She

suggested. I smiled and nodded.

"Of course we can. If it is really needed then we will. Do not worry... is that all?" I replied with a nod and a smile.

"Yes princess... Thank you for your time." She said. I smiled and with a bow she left. I sighed. The guard let out a chuckle.

"Do not worry Princess... You'll get trough it." He told me with a chuckle.

"I'd like to see you get up here and attend like a million ponies SheldStar." I replied rolling my eyes.

"I'd try but i'm not royal blood you know Princess." He replied me with a laugh.

"Not you but my coltfriend is... He's soo cute." I said with a dreamy sigh. He laughed.

"Sure... We'll talk later come on it's time to continue your job." He told me. I sighed.

"Fine... Bring in the next guest please." I shouted. The next pony was a Unicorn. Her Coat were a hot purple and her mane and tail were fire

like colours that gave the impression that they really were on fire...Her Cutiemark was a Magenta heart with a sky blue star in the middle

and in the middle of that was a yellow flame symbolising her being able to control fire with her magic. She smiled and bowed.

"Hello and welcome to court day. What is your name dear?" I asked really wanting to go but i didn't show that i did.

"Hello Princess my name is Fireheart." She replied coming up from her bow. 'This will take a looooooong time...' I thought in my head...
