Don't do batteries, kids. (Prologue)
Don't do drugs, kids.
"BB, get that thing out of your mouth!"
Balloon Boy pouted, sticking his tongue out at the rosy-cheeked bear that was towering over him with a scowl on his face. He gave a grunt of acknowledgement and spat the battery out - well, what was left of it, which was a tiny chunk of metal with a couple of clumps of rust and battery acid. "But Teddy, they're so good!"
"I don't care how nice they taste, BB," Teddy kneeled down and gave a soft smile. "I don't want you to hurt yourself. Foxy won't have a first mate if you manage to poison yourself."
"Teddy, I'm a robot."
"So am I," The bear smirked. "Getting rusty before your tenth year of service isn't something you want to happen, is it?"
"No, papa."
"Then will you do as I say?"
"Yes, papa."
"Good boy. Now go to bed, it's one in the morning. Most kids your age went to sleep hours ago."
BB decided not to correct him on calling him a child, and slumped over to his corner, closing his eyes and waiting until the only sound was Mangle muttering nonsense in her sleep. He lifted the remaining battery to his face and smiled. AA, his favourite. He slipped it into his mouth and chewed slowly.
He suddenly began to choke, falling to his knees and coughing repeatedly. He suddenly felt light-headed, and allowed himself to faint, his world turning black.
'Is this what death feels like?'
But soon enough, BB found himself lay on the freshly-cut grass of a garden, a white bunny jumping on his chest. He giggled. He'd seen many bunnies, but none this small. He couldn't help but laugh at the thought of Bonnie and Blue jumping on him, the size of his Foxy plushies, garbling nonsense as they stropped.
"O-Oh my. Y-Yes, it does seem h-hurt."
BB flinched at the soft voice, before directing his gaze to the butter-yellow, winged horse... thing... that was standing above him, a soft frown on it's face. He yelped, which was followed by an adorable squeak, and the blackness coming again.
Don't do batteries, kids - it messes you up.
