Fluttershy’s P.O.V

“So you were against your kind and their ways and were banished. Then after the invasion you met Globe, Zook, and Midnight?” I asked Shift, receiving a nod in response.

“That’s basically the short version of it.” He answered, making me feel relieved that I didn’t make him feel uncomfortable.

“I’m sure you’ll get wings soon.” I heard Zook say. I turned to see Spike smile.

“Where were you two from again?” Asked Shift, regaining Spike's and my attention.

“Ponyville.” I answered making them both gain a look of worry.

“I heard something happened there... What was it?” Asked Zook making me feel a little uncomfortable to say it.

“They say a stallion was killed, but when I saw what had happened by the market, I saw a changeling...” Answered Spike when I saw Globe and Midnight head over to us at a table before Globe stopped abruptly.

“That’s right." I said looking away from Globe hoping he didn’t see me look at him. “I also saw a changeling and not a stallion” I added making them both shocked.

“Well I hope whatever happened, it gets cleared up soon...” Said Zook as we continued the conversation.

Globes P.O.V

'He saw a changeling too... that is very shocking I will need to make changes.' I thought before seeing Fluttershy quickly look away from me 'Was she looking at me?' I thought again before the door opened.

“Well, we got what the princesses needed.” Said Twilight walking in with the rest of the girls and behind them a setting sun.

“I guess we can stay here tonight.” Said Rainbow walking to the counter when Midnight heads over there.

“That would be five bits each.” Midnight said as the five mares each got out their pay.

“What did the princesses want?” Asked Spike as he looking towards them with Fluttershy, then seeing Zook and Shift look at them intensely.

Spike’s P.O.V

When I looked at the girls with Fluttershy I saw Shift and Zook looking at us and their eyes flash a bright gold for a split second.

“Apparently the same ruffian or ruffians killed ponies here as well all the same way.” Answered Rarity with a disgusted look on her face which made me upset to see her not happy.

“There was one suspect but they died and had this on them.” Rainbow pulled out a necklace with a symbol on it.

“It’s a nice necklace, but what a strange symbol.” Said Fluttershy before having the necklace thrown to her by Rainbow.

“Maybe you should keep hold of it, *yawn* but I’m going to bed...” Said Twilight as she and the 4 other mares walked upstairs.

“Maybe we should hit the hay too.” I said as Fluttershy and I head to the counter to pay.

“No need, I’ll take it.” Said Globe as he walked in front of us and payed for us.

“It’s no trouble, we can pay our selves...” Said Fluttershy when Globe stopped her again.

“Think of it as 'on the house'.” He said before heading upstairs.

“You never know what that stallions going to do.” Said Midnight taking the bits into a container.

Then suddenly my vision blurred and the walls and ceiling changed to black and I turned around and saw Globe on the stairs glowing blue, and then one of the girls walking down glowing white before everything turned back to normal.

“I was wondering if I could get some water?" Asked Applejack as she came to the counter.

I tried to shake off what had just happened... But I couldn’t... Then I decided to head upstairs, trying to figure out what just happened.

Fluttershy’s P.O.V

The next morning we got on an early train to ponyville and said goodbye to our new friends when we headed home. After a few hours I decided to go see Globe today and learn more about his friends. I arrived at his house and knocked on the door to have no response. I tried again but still no answer and I was about to go when my vision changed to black and looked around to see everypony glowing white but then I saw one pony looking at me glowing red before my vision returned to normal.

“What was that?” I whispered to myself before hearing my name being called and I turned to my right and saw Thunderlane, Elemental, and Big Mac walking towards me.

“Hello boy’s. What’s going on?” I asked when they stopped in front of me.

“We wanted to make sure you’re okay because you just stared straight ahead.” Answered Elemental walking up to me.

“I’m ok, just got a weird feeling.” I answered, making them a little confused.

“And Globe isn’t home right now. He told us he had a meeting of some sorts to do today, and wouldn’t be back until tomorrow.” Said Thunderlane walking next to him.

The news made me upset but then I looked at Big Mac and he had a suspicious look on his face.

“Your vision changed. Didn’t it.” Said Big Mac putting two and two together.

“How did you know?” I asked confused and worried.

“It happened to us too.” He answered, making all of us wonder why that happened.

Spike P.O.V

The girls and I -minus Fluttershy- were cleaning up the library. By now, everyone knew Globe left yesterday and would come back today from some kind of meeting.

“I think we’re about done!” said Twilight, when everyone just started to relax after that, we heard a knock on the door.

I went and answered it and Ditzy was there standing at the doorway with a letter.

“Here you go Spike! Read what it says alone with who it says.” She whispered to me before turning away.

“Is it a letter from the princesses?” Asked Rarity looking at the letter as I walked back inside with it looking at it

“Well, go on Spike and read what it says!” Said Twilight, walking over to me seeing my eyes grow wide.

“This isn’t for you.” I said as I ran out the library.

“What was that all about?” Asked Rainbow looking at the open door with every pony else.

I was running through ponyville as fast as I could and once again, for the second time, my vision changed to black as it had done before. But this time, most ponies were white when I saw a few were red. As if by instinct I avoided the ponies that were red and made my way to Sweet Apple acres. When I arrived I saw Big Mac doing his chores as normal.

“Big Mac!” I shouted, running towards him catching his attention.

“Spike what’s wrong?” He asked as I stood in front of him panting.

“Quickly find Thunderlane and Elemental and meet me at Fluttershy’s cottage!” I said panting, making him realize this was urgent.

“On it.” He said before he headed towards the town while I ran towards Fluttershy’s cottage.

Fluttershy’s P.O.V

Today was a normal day for me taking care of my animals, I was happy Globe was coming back today but then Spike burst through the door scaring the animals. “Fluttershy!” He exclaimed.

“Spike! What’s wrong?" I asked, worried that something bad had happened.

“I’m just going to say Big Mac, Thunderlane, and Elemental are going to be here and I need you upstairs during this time.” He said to me firmly, making me wonder what could be going on.

Then there was a knock on the door and Spike went to answer it, he opened it to reveal Big Mac, Thunderlane, and Elemental standing there.

“I got them Spike.” Said Big Mac as they walked in.

“Fluttershy, would you please go upstairs for this?” Spike asked me kindly, so I couldn’t refuse and went to the top of the stairs but curiosity got the better of me so I stayed there.

Spike P.O.V

“Why did you want us here so quickly?” Asked Thunderlane.

“I got a letter Ditzy delivered and she told me only to read it with the ponies written on it and those ponies are you three and me.” I answered making us all confused.

“Well what does it say?” Elemental asked when we all sat down to read the letter.

"If you are reading this right now, I may be in trouble. I need all of you to come to Canterlot immediately. Before you do, go to Doctor Whooves and show him this." (Shows a piece of paper with the same symbol as the necklace) "Then go to my house. There is something there you will need. This all may seem strange at first, but it is all there for a reason. I hope this reaches you. Let no pony see this and keep them all safe especially Fluttershy." I ended making us all even more confused and worried.

“Globe’s in trouble! We got to help him!” Said Thunderlane standing up abruptly.

“I know we do, but what could be happening?” Asked Elemental making a point.

“Let’s go to Doctor Whooves. Maybe he could give us some answers.” I stated, getting a nod from all of them. But little did we now Fluttershy heard everything and saw everything.

Fluttershy's P.O.V

“Globe’s in trouble!” I quietly gasped and watched them leave. “Whether the letter says he wants me involved or not, I’m going.” I said following the 4. “Wait!” I shouted catching their attention.

“Fluttershy what is it?” Big Mac confused.

“I’m coming with you.” I said standing in front of them. “I don’t care if the letter said I shouldn’t, I’m coming.” I said firmly, making them all shocked at my voice.

“No stopping you, is there?” Elemental asked getting a firm nod from me. “Ok, then she come." He said, making us all shocked.

“But Globe said not to let her come!” Thunderlane argued pointing at me.

“She wants to come, let her come.” He said when he started to walk towards town, then we snapped out of shock and followed him.

Elemental P.O.V

After a 23 minute walk we made it to the Doctor's house and I knocked on the door to have him answer it and let us in when he sat in a chair.

“What do you 5 need?” He asked us with a friendly smile.

“Globe told us to come here in a letter that he sent us.” Spike answered receiving a laugh from him.

“If you’re here for what he asked from me, I’m going to need proof.” He answered when Thunderlane pulled out the paper with the strange symbol on it.

“He told us to show you this.” Thunderlane said showing him the paper making the Doctor have a worried look on his face.

“Oh no...” He said running to the door, locking it then to the windows, locking them and closing the blinds.

“What’s going on?” Fluttershy asked scared when the Doctor ran to a bookshelf looking through the books.

“No idea.” Big Mac answered when Doc pulled a book out and a piece of the floor popped up when he ran to it.

“Here it is. Take this. Globe asked me to make these. Make sure no pony finds them.” He said handing us a box he pulled from the floor that popped up.

“Ok, now what?” I said taking the box and put it in a saddlebag.

“Go to Globe’s house and there you will find what you need. But you need to go before they found you.” He said, opening the door and letting us out.

After we left, he closed and locked the door leaving us all confused.

“What was that all about?” Big Mac said as we walked to Globes house.

“I don’t know, but I have a bad feeling about this.” I said as we continued walking, full of questions.

Behind them on the roof top there were three white hooded figures following them.

Fluttershy's P.O.V

We made it to Globes house after a short walk and we opened the door knowing he wasn’t home.

“What are we supposed to be looking for?” I asked looking around.

“Maybe we need to pull something or push something like what Doctor Whooves did?” Thunderlane said, making a point.

“Ok then, let’s search different rooms then.” Spike said when we all split up in different directions.

After about 10 minutes we met up at the front entrance to discuss what we found. Unfortunately none of us had any results but then Big Mac shouted for us.

“I think I found something!” He shouted making us head to the living room.

“What is it?” Elemental asked when we arrived to see him standing next to a painting.

“This.” He said moving the painting to show a symbol on the wall that matched the paper and the necklace.

Seeing the symbol, I pulled out the necklace and held it up to see the symbol was exactly the same.

“STOP!” We suddenly heard from behind us as we turned to see fifteen ponies standing behind us.

“What are you doing here?” Spike asked when seven of them pulled us away from the wall and threw us to the ground.

“What’s going on?” I stammered terrified as they tied our hooves up with rope using magic.

“Quiet!” One of them shouted when suddenly 5 of them were engulfed in green flame and were replaced by changelings.

“We haven’t done anything wrong!” Thunderlane shouted, only to be shushed when each of the ponies and changelings pulled out a weapon.

“Save your breath assassin scum.” A stallion shouted right in front of me.

“We would never hurt a soul!” I said when the same stallion held his sword pointing at my neck.

“I said save your breath. For death.” He exclaimed as I shut my eyes ready to feel a pain in my skull when a window broke and I felt the pain never came and I heard a small gasp. I opened my eyes to see the stallion standing there and dropping his sword letting it fall then I looked up to see an arrow piercing his neck before he fell. I was looking with horror yet relief that he was killed in front of me but relieved to not have died, but where did the arrow come from?

Then I heard another window break, to see a changeling being struck by the arrow and falling dead. Then a big white hooded figure crashed through a window landing on a mare, piercing her neck with a blade that came from his falcon wrist meaning he was a griffon. After that, a pony struck a changeling in the back with their sword before being engulfed in green fire to reveal a changeling in the same white hooded robes. But then a tall hooded figure appeared through a window holding a bow with scaly skin meaning he was a dragon.

Then the griffon had 4 ponies surround him, two with a sword, one with a knife, the last with an axe. Then he pulled an axe from his back holding it over his shoulder. Then one the stallion with a sword struck at him when he deflected it and swung back striking his stomach. The mare holding a knife and the other with a sword struck him from both sides sure of hitting him when he deflected the sword and dodged the knife to have it stab the sword pony before they got stabbed by the griffons wrist blade. Finally, the axe pony tried to strike while he was distracted before it was dodged and he was tripped and fell on his back before being struck in the head by the griffon’s axe.

The changeling only had one changeling and a mare on him both with swords both on different side of him. They then charged at him and were feet away when he threw a small object to the ground before smoke exploded around him blinding the two attackers. Then the mare was struck in her back, and the smoke cleared to reveal the changeling robed on top of the other one with his own wrist blade piercing their neck.

Finally the drake had three ponies and the last changeling were on him all with knifes or swords surrounding him at all sides. Then the changeling attacked with a stallion when the drake pulled a small knife out and quickly deflected one then the other before slicing both of their necks. The other stallion thought he had the jump on the drake from behind when he spun around and had the stallion run his own body in the knife. The final mare tried to run when the drake readied his bow and without second thought let the arrow fly at her head letting her fall.

After the entire group was dead they looked at us and walked towards us as fear grew within us.

“Are you five ok?” Asked the drake as they bent down and started to cut the ropes.

“Yeah we’re fine.” Thunderlane answered when they finished cutting the ropes.

“Good. Now we can get started.” The changeling said when the three headed to the painting and began moving it.

“Who are you three?” Spike asked when we walked up behind them to see the griffon examining the wall.

“I thought you two would recognize us Spike and Fluttershy.” The drake said as the three of them turned around and lowered their hoods making me and Spike gain faces of shock. For the three figures were Zook, Shift, and Midnight.

“You but… how?” Asked Spike as me and him were horrified and utterly confused.

“We can explain everything.” Midnight turned back to the wall.

“Who are these three?” Asked Big Mac looking at us with Thunderlane and Elemental.

“These are Globes friends Zook, Shift, and Midnight.” I answered pointing at each of them.

“And who are these three.” Shift asked walking up to us with

“This is Big Mac, Thunderlane, and Elemental Fury.” Spike answered pointing at them.

“Nice to meet you three, but it’s time for your explanation.” Midnight pushed against the piece of wall and the wall next to it opened revealing a staircase.

“For thousands of years, two groups were at war. Each fighting for the world.” Midnight started as we headed down the staircase with the door closing behind us. “One group the Templars sought out to create a world where they are the rulers and everypony must follow their orders. The other group, the Assassin’s, fought against them to keep everypony in the world free to do what they please.” Midnight finished as we continued our descend down the stairs.

“We are Assassin’s. We seek to keep this world free and we need your help.” Shift said making us all shocked.

“But why are you telling this to us?” Elemental asked with us nodding.

“Globe told us he had four recruits.” Zook answered making me terrified.

“Why?!” I asked exclaiming it.

“We’ll let him explain himself when we help him.” Midnight said when we entered a small room at the bottom of the stairs and say wooden dummies a wall, and robes against another wall, and the third one had all kinds of weapons lined on it and the final one had a pigeon coop and next to that was a bowl with some kind of tool in it.

“This place is crazy.” Thunderlane said as we spread out looking around the room.

“Globe sure is full of surprises.” Big Mac stated when I put the satchel we got from Doctor Whooves down and looked around.

“I see you got Globes order.” Zook said as he pulled the box out of the satchel.

“What is it?” Elemental asked walking to him.

“The assassin’s main weapon. The hidden blade.” Midnight answered as Zook opened the box to show four wrist blades.

“Why did Globe order these?” Spike asked when Zook gave them to the guys.

“Because we need your help to save Globe from the Templars.” Shift explained confusing us.

“Why do they want him?” I asked approaching them.

“He’ll explain but will you help the Assassin’s?” Zook asked when the boys looked at each other then back at Zook and nodded back at him making them smile.

“I’ll help too.” I stated making them look at me shocked.

“Are you sure? It will be dangerous...” Shift asked walking to me.

“Yes, but I still want to help.” I said making Shift sigh with a soft smile.

“We can’t stop you, ok then.” Shift said making me smile, then we joined the others heading upstairs.
