Object Class: Safe

Special containment procedures: The area surrounding the LTF-008 must be enclosed by a grid three meters high. Its perimeter should be monitored around the clock. The trees reach 20-25 meters in height.

Description: LTF-008 is a part of the abandoned forest located in the north of Kantelota. LTF-008 is inhabited by unknown creatures, which resemble ponies (LTF-008-X). Each individual is different in structure and behavior:

LTF-008-1 is an entity of about two meters in height. The object has a modified anatomy of the head with large sharp teeth. LTF-008-1’s hooves have similar structure with the hooves of Arachnida (class), Opiliones (order). The object is more active at night; aggressive (see. Study I and Study II).

LTF-008-2 is structurally similar to LTF-008-1, but the head is more similar to the head of a usual pony. The object is less aggressive, but may attack if you turn you back on it (see. Study III).

LTF-008-3 is an entity of one hundred and eighty-six meters in height. There are a lot of mouth openings on its body. LTF-008-3 is able to lure victims with the sound of the voice, attacks with the long tongue, which is used for suffocating the victim (see. Study IV and Study V).

LTF-008-4 is an entity with a terrible physiognomy. It is of about three meters in height. LTF-008-4 is able to make the bait of its victims, which it "fixes" on its tail (see. Study V).

More information about the objects has not been found yet.

Study I

Date: 27.06.████

Subject: Agent Blade Jack

Dr. ███: Agent Blade Jack, are you ready to begin the study?

Agent Blade Jack: Yes, I’m ready.

Dr. ███: Well, you have to walk on this road to the end, you will have to wait.

Agent Blade Jack: Okay.

Agent Blade Jack walks on the trail one hundred and ten meters and stops.

Dr. ███: Why did you stop?

Agent Blade Jack: The rustle... from the forest... It’s probably the wind.

Dr. ███: Please, keep going.

Agent Blade Jack walks ██ meters more.

Agent Blade Jack: Someone is close to me. Very near.

Dr. ███: What do you hear?

Agent Blade Jack: ... There was a roar to the west of the path.

Dr. ███: That’s strange. There’s nothing on the audio communication channels.

Agent Blade Jack: Something has just run right behind me! What the... ?

The cry of the agent and the roar of an unknown entity are heard, the connection is lost. There was no further contacts with Agent Blade Jack. The examination of the video showed that the agent was killed by LTF-008-1.

Note: Dr. Vane: We can no longer use agents for such tasks. We need to make use of class D.

Study II

Date: 29.06.████

Subject: D-478 is a ██-year-old earthpony of a medium build. The psychological background is normal. D-478 is carrying a LED flashlight, a portable video camera, equipped with a transmitter and headphones for communication with Dr. ███ in the control room.

Dr. ███: Please follow the trail to the end.

D-478 hesitates, then passes ten meters. D-478 turns around.

D-478: ████, Goddammit, I see no evil ... And you ask me ...

Dr. ███: Please follow the path, D-478. At the other end of the trail you will be met by the staff.

D-478: You just let me go? Freely?

Dr. ███: You cannot escape. There are cordons all around.

D-478 sighs, then turns and goes down the trail. After walking ███ meters, D-478 stops.

D-478: Did you hear that?

Dr. ███: There isn’t anything on the audio communication channels.

D-478: It's like a ... rustling ... or ... or something like that. It comes from the woods, as if there is someone in the distance.

Dr. ███: Rustle? Maybe it's the wind?

D-478: No, no, this rustling ... as if I'm not alone.

Dr. ███: Please continue to move along the path.

D-478 again starts to go with the increased speed. After ███ meters the darkness begins to draw on.

D-478: It becomes very difficult to see anything. This ███████ lantern does not ...

D-478 suddenly turns around.

D-478: [shouting] ████! ████! Now d’you hear that ?!

Dr. ███: There’s nothing heard on the audio communication channels, D-478. What do you hear?

D-478: [shouting] The same as last time! But even closer! Why don’t you ████ hear it, it was ...

Dr. ███: Please continue to follow the path, D-478.

D-478: [shouting] No, you do not understand it ...

A loud roar is heard to the left of D-478. D-478 screams and starts running along the trail. The sound of footsteps is heard behind the D-478, first distant and then ever-increasing, until it becomes audible at the distance of less than one meter from D-478, and then the sound of footsteps stops. Having run more than ███ meters, D-478 reaches the opposite exit.

Study III

Date: 30.06.████

Subject: D-891 is a ██-year-old earthpony of a medium build. The psychological background is normal. D-891 is carrying a LED flashlight, a portable video camera, equipped with a transmitter and headphones for communication with Dr. ███ in the control room.

Dr. ███: D-891, do you know what to do?

D-891: Yes, I must go down the path to the end and film everything I see.

Dr. ███: Well, you can start walking.

D-891 starts to move constantly looking back and stops after ███ meters.

Dr. ███: What happened, D-891?

D-891: [whispering] Can you see that? There in the bushes... There’s somebody ...

Dr. ███: Yes, we see. But try to describe it. Do not make any sudden movements.

D-891: It is ... high, about two meters tall, its hooves are ... like spider’s ... and its eyes ... they are black.

Dr. ███: And what about its head? What’s it like?

D-891: Quite normal, like ours.

Dr. ███: Well, try to walk around it slowly.

D-891 turns off the path a little bit, but still looking at the entity, the growl being heard. Having walked around it, D-891 continues to go with the increased pace. The entity begins to run after D-891.

D-891: [Shouting] It’s chasing me!

Dr. ███: Turn around to face it.

D-891 turns and goes backward without losing eye contact with the entity, the object stops. After ███ meters D-891 reaches the exit. Besides, D-891 made a drawing of the entity that was indicated as LTF-008-2.

Note: Dr. Vane: So there are several objects there? We must continue to study this forest.

Study V

Date: 02.07.████

Subject: D-703 is a ██-year-old unicorn of a medium build. The psychological background is above the norm. D-703 is carrying the same equipment as D-891. Besides, D-703 is wearing a ring blocking magic.

Dr. ███: D-703, I hope you know what to do.

D-703: I know, I know, to film and describe everything strange that I see.

Dr. ███: Well, you can start

D-703 passes ███ meters.

D-703: What the ████! I’ve heard laughter! Is that you, Doc?

Dr. ███: Laughter? I didn’t laugh and ...

D-703: Ha-ha, how funny ████! Will you stop it?

Dr. ███: D-703, nobody is laughing here!

D-703 passes ███ meters more.

D-703: ████! Someone has run ahead of me!

Dr. ███: Keep on walking, D-703.

D-703 slowly goes forward another ███ meters and stops.

Dr. ███: D-703?

D-703: [whispering] There... near a tree ... There is someone there.

Dr. ███: Can you describe it?

D-703: [stammering] Th-there ... he is wearing your badge, he looks like your agent.

Dr. ███: What? That’s impossible ... This ... this is agent Blade Jack! But how did he ... ?

D-703: Agent? Agent Blade Jack, is that you?

D-703 is attacked by the roaring entity, D-703 drops the camera and flees in an unknown direction. Some moments later D-703’s screams and the sounds of his being "eaten" by the entity are heard. The analysis of the video revealed that was the entity with the terrible physiognomy and body of agent Blade Jack on its tail.

Note: Dr. Vane: So, these entities do not just eat us, they seem using us to shape a large monster. We need more research.
