Equestria: The Dragon Child

     Fluttershy started her day like normal.  She woke up and fed her animal friends and was preparing to make her own breakfast.

THUD

     "Son of a-!!" A voice yelled from upstairs making her rush up to check on her new house guest.

     She found Drake on the floor opposite of the bed clutching his left leg in pain.  Pulling him off the floor and back in bed she scolded him.

     "You know you shouldn't be moving off the bed!  You have a broken leg and you're lucky that you have fast healing, because you would have stayed longer, but if you keep doing this you'll only make it worse." She had a scowl on her face looking down on the human.

     "Being stuck here for three days is boring!  What do you expect me to do, sit here and do nothing?  I could at least use a crutch to move around in.  *sigh* what day is it today?" He said in an exaperated tone.

     She looked at him confused before saying, "It's Tuesday, why do you ask?"

     "No not that day, I mean month, day, the date." He asked again impatient.

     "O-oh... It's March 14, 4562." She said in a whisper.

     "Oh... Wait 4562?  It was only 2008 back home did I go into the future!?" Now he was confused.

     "Um... It's A.D or after Discord." This brought Drake back to normalcy just muttering an 'oh.'

     "So that proves I'm on a different world." His face immeadiately darkened with sadness, "That also means that it's coming up in five days..."  Fluttershy was slightly concerned knowing that it dealt with something personal she didn't persue.

     "J-just wait two more days before you start walking around.  You're leg should be healed by then." He nodded still on the previous subject.

     It's been a couple days since I came to this world, so I was naturally confused if I was even on a different world.  After a few minor briefs on this worlds culture and knowledge, which includes history, I realised that those scientists playing around with the fabrics of reality just made me come to this land.  Of course I was a bit sceptical on magic and everything being controlled by ponies, I went to school and learned some science.  But when I learned that their princesses controlled the Sun and Moon I think I might have fainted at the idea of Alicorns flying the celestial bodies across the sky.  Twilight explained to me that they use their magic to do so which made a lot more sense than what I was originally thinking.

     With my leg fully healed I managed to get suprised at the welcome to Ponyville/Equestria party.  It was hosted at Fluttershy's house since I was staying there.  Let me just tell you, putting a suprise party with a guy who can summon the elements wasn't the best choice, pretty sure that they were terrified at the site of me but when flames danced across my hands in a defensive instinct, I don't think they'll begin to trust me for a couple of weeks.

     I atleast was able to go to town and buy some roses.  The skittle reject followed me, but who could blame her.  The one who sold me the flowers, Roseluck I think her name was, looked terrified at the site of me.  That didn't matter.

     The next day I woke up to yet another nightmare.  Something felt wrong with them now though, but at the moment... I couldn't care less.  I sat up slowly from the couch (we had switched sleeping arangements) with tears in my eyes.  It's officially been five years since they've gone.  I looked at the roses with dead eyes and got up to get them.  I turned around and tried to walk out the door.  I would have if I didn't here a quiet voice.

     "Where are you going?" I turned around to the shy pegasus and she stared at my eyes.  I knew that my eyes looked devoid of life, just despair.

     "I'm going to do something important to me." With that I turned to leave and immeadiately headed to Sky-view lake.

     I continued to walk slowly for an hour, staring at the ground as my feet shuffled.  I glanced up once in a while to make sure I'm still heading to the right place.  I stopped at the edge of the shore, water lapping on my shoes.

     I gazed at the lake in silence; I can see why they call it Sky-view Lake.  The sky reflected perfectly on its surface like a mirror.  I had a ghost of a smile on my face, the giew was truly beautiful.

     It fell as I looked at the roses in my hands, feeling a mild breeze I started to srip the flowers of their petals and threw them into the wind.  Looking at the petals flowing in the wind reminds me of what my mom likes.

     I pay my respects to my family in the same way every year.  I took roses and spread their petals into the wind at a lake, then I skip rocks across it until the sun sets.  My mom liked roses and flowers in the wind, when I was little my dad and I skipped rocks over the water, and I have my brothers ring.

     I sit down and sigh.  I then pick up a rock and threw it across the lake with an empty look.  I don't care what happens... I'm not crying anymore... I-I think I've moved on.

     'No your not... your always weak like this, you won't move on.'

     No, for right now I am not listening to your manipulation!  Because I was arguing with him I failed to realize a rainbow hair fall infront of my face or the yellow figure in the trees.

     I really wish that I'd paid attention.

THUD

     "Son of a-!" I yelled face planting into the water.

     I looked behind me to see my attacker only to find Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.

     "What the hell, Rainbow?!" I screamed.

     "Hey, I had to get your attention somehow.  You ignored me calling you for five minutes." This made me dead pan.

     "And tackling me is better?"

     "It got your attention didn't it?"

     "Can't argue with that my back sure understands." I mumble rubbing my spine.

     "Anyway, what the heck are you two doing here?" I was really annoyed at this.  All I wanted was to wallow in my misery for one day, and I couldn't even have that with this egotistical mare!

     "Fluttershy wanted to talk to you, and I've tooken it upon myself to watch you just incase you do something.  So, to answer both of our questions, what the hay are you doing?" Fluttershy only nodded in agreement.

     My face once again fell into a somber expression.  "I do this every year on this day..."

     Rainbow got a confused look. "Saturday?"

     "No, It's an annual thing... it would probably be best if I explained it with everyone-" "pony" "Right everypony, when we're all together."  My face turned back to really annoyed, "Now if you'll excuse me I'll just go back to wallowing in my miser-"

     "Ah might wanna' hold that thought sugar cube." God dammit!  Why won't you ponies leave me alone!  I turned and saw Applejack walking towards us.

     "Twilight says to get ready, 'cause we're goin, to Canterlot to meet the Princesses."  Oh great... This is about me isn't it.

     'Oh really, what tipped you off?  You coming to an alien world, or the fact that you have unusual powers?' Real mature Dark, real mature.

     'We're the same age and maturity, doofus.' how about you go to sleep in subconscience world, and I go deal with this and keep my sanity.

     "-ake, Drake, DRAKE!" This snapped me out of my conversation.

     "What!" I looked around trying to figure out what happened.

     "Let's go!  The princesses want to see you too." *slap* "why'd you facehoof?"

     "First, where I'm from it's a facepalm.  Second, I just knew this was about me." I shake my head and continue walking.

     "Better get this over with." I sigh.
