The sound of the crying grew louder as Chris approached the room, his heart sank as he looks in to see Princess Luna, sobbing onto the floor, covering herself as there were bottles of opened wine around her. He saw Princess Celestia approaching him and he immediately went up to her and put his hands up to stop her.

"Princess I think it would be best if I handle this, right now Luna is probably not in the mood to talk to you." he explains as Celestia looks at him strangely as Lunas sobbing worried her.

"I must tend to my sister and comfort her." She insists as Chris blocks her path.

"Don't you get it? Shes highly unstable. I will go in there and calm her down. Then you can come in." Chris says to her as Celestia moves past Chris and walks to her door.

She was upset by the sight of her younger sister, the opened drinks and her weeping and crying. Chris moves past Celestia as he walks in and slowly gets next to the emotionally fragile princess.

"Hey there... you ok Luna? Please tell me why you're crying." He tries to hug her as suddenly Luna lashes out and points her hoof at Celestia,

"YOU!"

Celestia was shocked at the outburst, "What have I done to wrong you dear sister?"

Luna screams out at her, letting her anger out at last, "ITS ALWAYS ABOUT YOU! THIS NIGHT FESTIVAL WAS FOR ME AND YOU STILL TOOK ALL THE LOVE AND ADMIRATION THAT WAS MEANT FOR ME!"

Celestia shakes her head, "No dear sister, I would never do that you!"

Chris gets in front of the raging princess, "Luna! Stop this please! Calm yourself!"

He holds Luna and caresses her cheek only to be pushed away, "LEAVE ME BE!"

She rears up and slams her hooves down, creating a jagged crater as the force sent Chris flying out, Luna uses her magic to shut out Celestia and lock the doors. As Chris gets up, he sees the doors closed and remembers the scene from the video he's watched many times.

"Oh no... no no no! LUNA! LUNAAA!!" He runs and bangs on the doors getting no response he uses a magic amulet he was given as a gift to enter Lunas mind. What he saw broke his heart as he sees Luna and Nightmare Moon, facing each other, Luna bowing her head low as the evil side of her smiles.

"LUNA!" He runs to her and blocks her from the sight of Nightmare Moon. Luna looked surprised as she had tears streaming down her face,

"Chris?!? What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice full of emotion and quivering as he hugs her tightly.

"Don't do this Luna, you are going down a path that even I can't save you from. Please don't do this to us Luna." he begs her as Nightmare Moon cackles,

"Foolish Human, she already accepted my offer of power as she will soon usher in a new age of darkness!" Nightmare moon declares as Chris growls and looks at her full of rage,

"SHUT UP! SHUT UP!!" He runs and tries to tackle Nightmare moon as the evil being disappeared into a wisp of smoke, appearing next to Luna,

"Join me, and we will make your sister pay for stealing the love that is right fully ours." she whispers as Luna sheds tears and turns to be engulfed in Nightmare Moons dark shadows.

"Soon did that pony take notice that others
Did not give her sister her due
And neither had she loved her as she deserved
She watched as her sister's unhappiness grew

But such is the way of the limelight, it sweetly
Takes hold of the mind of its host
And that foolish pony did nothing to stop
The destruction of one who had needed her most "

The words to the song rang ever so loudly in his thoughts as he screams out to the pony he cared for the most,

"LUNAAAAA!!! NOOOOOO!!!!"

He was shut out from Lunas mind as Nightmare Moon changed her, he was thrown back into his physical form as he hears the scream of Luna in he room. He looks to Celestia as she was breathing heavily, distraught and sad at her sister doing such a thing to her.

"Damn you Celestia... DAMN YOU!" He gets up as he walks to Celestia and pushes her, shocking her even more that a mortal, a human no less would resort to using force.

"I told you I would handle it! I told you this required careful words! BUT YOU DIDN'T FUCKING LISTEN!" He yells with rage and sadness as he tries to raise his hand to slap Celestia but she didn't fight back knowing his words were true. She hadn't listen, she didnt pay attention and heed the signs. She didn't give her sister the love and attention she needed and know something is wrong and she doesn't know what, but Chris knows, and with that he lets go and wipes the tears away from his eyes as he goes to the armory.

"I'm going to take care of this myself." he says to himself as he walks away from a heartbroken Celestia, only hearing the hoofsteps as she turns and walks away.

"Get my armor ready!" Chris yells out as the Security Pony runs and unlocks the vault that concealed his armor.

"Sir if I may ask, what is the emergency?" The unicorn guard asks as the airman walks to the armor and steps into the boots as the boots start to tighten together, the magic and modern science applied had the armor come together and meld onto the humans body, like a scene from Iron Man as Tony Stark puts on his armor for the first time.

Suddenly the walls shake and dust falls from the ceiling as Chris looks up, "Oh god no..."

Suddenly loud hoofsteps are heard as the Security ponies run to the armory to get weapons, "Princess Celestia is under attack! Everypony arm up and get ready to defend!"

Chris immediately stops them, "Belay that order! Evacuate everypony from the castle and go to a maximum safe distance! I need to handle this."

The final piece was his helmet as the jaw portion reaching up to the back of his head was connected together, then the last piece attached to the adjoining piece was sealed as he looks at the guards ponies and finally the helmet slammed shut with a metallic clink as his T-Visor polarizes to black.

The darkened sky was brightened by balls of light colliding together, Celestia and Nightmare Moon engaging each other in a deadlock as neither one could outdo the other. Celestia was being pushed back as what was her former sister is gaining ground, as Nightmare gained distance on Celestia, she was broad sided by another opposing force, this one wielding a beam saber as he knocks her away from the Princess.

Celestia looks to see who helped her, the being before her was armored in white and red, his wings though not being real wings yet leaving a trail of real feathers helped him stay aloft as the being had a large shield bearing the lunar symbol and a large metal rifle.

"Princess, you done enough. I will take care of this." Chris orders her as Celestia shakes her head.

"She is my sister! I will do what I can to bring her back!" She yells back.

"YOU HAVE DONE LITTLE TO HELP! YOU ARE PART OF THE REASON WHY SHE IS THIS WAY! BECAUSE OF YOU ALL MY HARD WORK TO SAVE HER HAS BEEN A FUCKING WASTE! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE NOW BEFORE I FORCE YOU OUT!" He screams at her as suddenly a beam of energy comes between them.

"I WILL DESTROY YOU CELESTIA!" Nightmare Moon screams as she fires another of her energy beams at Celestia but was protected by Chris and his enchanted shield, he flies towards her as he grapples and holds but was quickly thrown off as he was flung down. Quickly he stabilized and looked up as his engines fire up and helps him escape the beam that was coming towards him.

Celestia flies and weaves as Nightmare Moon turns to fire beams at her, using her wings she blocks the attack and uses her own energy to bring down Nightmare Moon. The dark princess holds out her hoof and disperses the blast, but Chris flies in and pulls out his buster beam rifle and sets it to stun only as he cannot bear to harm his dear Princess. He fires the beam as well as Celestia and Nightmare moon as the three beams collide to make a massive ball of energy.

Celestia tried hard to concentrate but was losing focus as tears formed in her eyes, Chris wasn't faring well either, he was emotionally torn as tears poured out like a river from his eyes. Nightmare Moon glared angrily, teeth bared as she put all her energy into one goal, destroying the two individuals who loved her the most.

"DIIIIIIEEEEEE!!!" Nightmare screams as the ball of energy was pushed towards Chris and Celestia.

Chris knew what was going to happen, "CELESTIA!" he knocks her out of the way, bracing himself with his shield as the beam engulfs him and sends him flying in a trail of smoke towards the castle as he knocks down the doors and slams against a a display of the Elements of Harmony. He shakes his head and looks behind him to see the colored crystals and shook his head rapidly as Celestia flies in and rushes to his aid.

"Chris are you hurt?" She asks as the lead stone glows and the last element falls out and lands on the ground.

Celestia looks at the last crystal then at Chris, he looks to her then at the crystal while shaking his head, "You are not going to do it... don't you fucking do it!"

The princess was unsure until suddenly the window crashes and Nightmare Moon screams through, intending to fulfill her dark deed, but Celestia uses her magic to activate the Elements of Harmony as Chris gets up quickly and leaps forward to come between Celestia and Nightmare Moon.

"NOOOOOOO!!!!" he yells but was too late as a ball of colorful light sends him flying back. He looks up to see Nightmare Moon being deflected to the moon, the shadow of a unicorn being formed as expected. He couldn't stop it, no matter how hard he tried, the whole thing was inevitable.

Celestia looks up at the moon, unable to comprehend what happened, her distinguishable colored hair now formed as tears started to form as she stared for a few seconds. Chris walks slowly towards the moonlight, reaching his hand out to the moon as he gets to his knees, his hands shakily taking his helmet off. Both Celestia and Chris had tears running down their face as they both knew what had just happened.

"Lu- lu- lu- lu- lu- LUNA!!!!!" Chris and Celestia wails loudly, emotionally devestated and traumatized as Chris slams his fist on the ground in terrible pain.

Luna watches from the bedside as she watched her friend toss and turn in his sleep, whimpering and crying into the pillows as she couldn't do much but see her friend be in such emotional distress.

'Should I see what he is dreaming about and wake him?' Luna wonders as she tries but doesn't.

'I shouldn't intrude but... what if its hurting him?' she debates to herself, but after much consideration she decides to see what was going on with her friend, using her abilities to dream walk, she enters his mind, it wasn't after a few moments she opens her eyes, gasping for air as she was choking back tears.

"Oh my... Chris, I... I never knew... Oh i'm so sorry." She turns and quickly leaves as Chris wakes up, yelling before he looks around, seeing no one around.

He sits upright and cries into his arms, sobbing loudly not caring if anyone hears him as the dream was his worst nightmare.
He doesn't know that Celestia was watching him and Luna during that time, and she was very concerned for him and her sister as she saw Luna apologize to Chris before flying away.

0830 Castle Hallways

The Princess of the Sun and her human follower were walking together to do a walk through of the nearby town to raise the hopes of the ponies.
As she was walking she noticed that Chris was not as lively as he was the day before, he was sullen, depressed and not very energetic, which is not good for someone of his position.

"A very beautiful day if I do say so myself." She smiles as Chris sighs and follows,

"I guess your Majesty..." he says plainly as Celestia frowns.

"Is something the matter Chris?" She asks as Chris sniffs and wipes his eyes, the nightmares still fresh in his mind.

"Nothing Princess, i'm fine." He lies, but Celestia doesn't buy it as she turns and steps in front of Chris.

"I want the truth and the full truth now! Before I go into your mind and find it for you." She threatens, surprising the human since Celestia wasn't known for that kind of behavior.

Chris knows he can't get out of this one so he finally explains to her everything, the events leading to Nightmare Moon, the thousand year banishment, the emotional trauma. All of this makes Celestia weak for the first time, she can't believe what she was hearing, her own sister, her dearest Luna, harboring ill will because she is not loved by her subjects? She can't believe it, she will not believe it. As long as Celestia herself draws breath she vows to herself to make Luna the most well like pony in Equestria, even more liked than her older sister.

Chris wipes his eyes again as Princess Luna makes her appearance, "Hello dear sister, hello Chris." she says with a hint of sadness in her voice.

Chris felt his lips quiver and his eyes start to water as he sees the mare that would cause so much pain and hurt that he turns away quickly,

"Please excuse me!" he says as he runs to the nearest wash room.

He bursts open the doors and bursts into tears as he cries loudly, his body shaking and taking deep breathes as he cries hard. He hears the doors open but doesn't care who enters as suddenly he hears a voice call out to him, "Chris? Its Princess Luna... I know what you dreamed about. I know what I would become if I let my jealousy consume me."

He turns to her, his eyes red and puffy as he looks at his dear princess, her eyes wet with tears as well.

"I am so sorry Princess... Please don't turn into her... I beg you Luna! Spare me and your sister the heartache! I can't bear to see this happen again!" He cries out as he approaches Luna and hugs her deeply.

Luna puts a hoof around her humans neck and nuzzles into him as she cries as well, they felt wings encircle them as they look up to see Celestia embracing them as they all cried together, letting out their emotions and sharing their thoughts for each other.

Author's Note

Well the song Starlight waltz gave me ideas for this chapter and going to be prominent in the next.
But who honestly thought I was just jumping to the bad part? Gotcha! Just a dream!

Anyways four chapters in four days. This story and theme reaches out to me... like its more emotional than the other stories I have. Wow I seriously almost cried when I typed this because I honestly would cry if I saw something like this happen in my sleep. Just listening to Lullaby for a Princess and watching the animation made my heart ache so much.

I love you Luna. You are my favorite Princess of the Night.
