Author’s note:
If you are wondering, the main character of the story is someone of power, but I understand your concerns for if he will have too much power. I understand characters have a weakness and such so do not think he will be overpowered.

You can understand when I say, “Time is the key.” for most of that is true. But the thing that stopped me in my own tracks was something I never thought would happen, this story should help enlighten you to the fact that, nothing is impossible, but I learned that the hard way...
Time:
15th century,
Alongside character: Ezio Auditore
“I must say it is good to have you as a friend rather than you be with them” Ezio commented towards a taller man, skinny but still held a proper structure. The man was covered in his cloak and hood showing no sign of his face, “Well, as long as they stand no good shall come from them. So why not end them now so they can not let people suffer more?” the man replied with a hint of a british accent. He jumped off the roof landing onto a guard who was about to end the life of another who just had the luck of running into a guard. “Get off me!” the guard yelled at the man, who in return withdrew his hidden blade and planted it into the back of the guards neck, leaving him to suffocate as blood filled his lungs.
Ezio jumped down landing next to his friend, he turned towards the now startled stranger saying to him, “Quickly get out of here, there is no doubt there will be more soon.”
The man turned and quickly ran repeating the words “Thank you” to the assassins. Ezio quickly looked to the other assassin, “We do not have long Edicor, more of these borgia troops will show up soon.” Edicor responded to his name being called and took to a climb with Ezio following behind him. Upon reaching the top of the building Edicor called out to Ezio, “Let us separate, they will no doubt lose our trail quicker.” Ezio responded with a nod and took off in another direction.
“Now that he is gone, I can cut the act.” Edicor said while seeming to cheer up from his gloom of an attitude before. “Now where did I see that dive...” Edicor mumbled to himself. “Ah there you are!” Edicor exclaimed while finishing his climb, “I’ve seen him do it plenty of times, perhaps I can do it finally”. He took his stance preparing to make a good jump right into the hay bale below. He thought to himself ‘I still don’t understand how you can come out unharmed from this...’ then right there, began his sprint to the end of the pole jumping off. Time slowed as he fell, he felt he had to slow it to enjoy the moment more of a dramatic drop. He began to drop his eyes to what was below him, but what he expected was not there, but in the place of a hay bale was a parting hole in the floor. He know nobody else could see the hole but that still had thrown him off as he know his time here would be cut short. “Oh you have got to be kidding me!” Edicer yelled while falling at a still slow rate. The last thing that went through his head, was a natural thought of ‘Here we go again!’ He clipped his arms next to his sides and speed time back to normal, now being a bit worn out by slowing time for so long.
Little did he expect what he saw upon going through the portal like creation was that he was far in the sky, above a forest, falling at his fast rate. He began to realize that even though he would be alright that he will feel the pain from the impact. Edicor took his descent naturally and when he was near the ground he spun around and landed in a stance of kneeling with his fist firmly planted on the ground. Even if he was a god, well God of time, he quickly landed on his side in pain, not enough to stop him but enough to slow him. “Oh.... and I almost forgot what you felt like...” Edicor mumbled to himself while beginning to stand again. “Might as well take the look of the people of this world, I wonder why I was summoned here...” he began his morph into a, creature with... Hoofs? ‘Odd, this looks familiar...’ He took the form of a local, and with that his memory began its trip to remember the world. The main parts he could remember Equestria, Peaceful, Family...
The word spun around in his head, Family... but, they could be dead for all he knows... Time still passed while he was gone it has been hundreds of years, there wasn't a chance of his family being alive still, but that is when he remembered...
Celestia, Luna, I guess its time
Before heading out he decided to look at himself to see if there was any problem with his transformation, from what he could see he was just a normal earth pony. Blue hair, black mane, and a... mark on his flank, 'Bah the name always escapes me... something mark... something mark. c- cute mark? Oh yeah! Cutie mark, showing what the talent of each individual is.' He took pride in actually remembering the name of what the marks were called, his was... it looked like a chest, closed... perhaps the talent of this body was storage...
He began his walk out of this forest, feeling like he knew it well... 'No matter, I need to get to them, and fast' he began to think to himself. He walked out of the forest without a problem, standing on a road he looked to his right to see where the path lead, it lead to a city that was on the side of a mountain. 'Canterlot...' he thought to himself, 'I think I can still remember the path. He walked to the city to do what needed to be done, return home...
