Chapter 2:

A Trip of the Mind

My friend [didn't want to be known], came up with the idea of the character and beginning and I've been working a lot on it

     Time-frame: Unknown

     Location: Everfree Forest.

     Alongside Character: None

     'You know, I have learned many things, but as a downside, I forget things every so often.' ~Edicor

     Edicor began to walk alongside the path, being drawn to the castle which was a feeling of home for him. Along his path was nothing but a peaceful journey. After many years, and I do mean many years, of going around to everywhere he was lead to, he was feeling calm, being not use to that feeling after being nearly killed many times before in the mortal body form. Then again, all that Edicor could remember was peace but even then he still had to leave after awhile.

    When Edicor arrived at the first stone road, he took the moment to look around and see how the place has grown, and it sure has from the last time. Edicor stood there looking at the city, and while looking around he happen to run into a guard of sorts, well he wore the armor of one, and accidentally bumped him. "Hey, Watch where your going!" the guard snarled at Edicor and began to walk along the path.

"Well that was rather rude, I didn't even get to say a word before he walked off..." Edicor mumbled to himself.

    Edicor began his walk back to the castle, he looked around to find out that he was getting some looks from everypony around, and they seemed to show their stuck up personalty by turning away from him with a "Hmmph!" and a nose stuck into the air so far he figured they were trying to smell the clouds...

'Never really was fond of the stuck up type...' Edicor began to think to himself.

    After finally arriving at the castle, he was quickly noted and halted by one of the guards. "Hey, you there!" Edicor turned to face the guard, "Me?" Edicor acted like it could have been somepony else, "Yeah, you. Sorry but nopony is allowed entry at the time being by word of Princess Celestia, you will have to come back another time" the guard stated. "Well I am sorry to say but I have a feeling I should be heading inside now" Edicor plainly stated as he began to walk towards the main entry. As quickly as he started walking he already noticed that a line of guards had pulled together to hold him back, "You are to remain out here until we were given the information that she is finished with what she is doing". Edicor now began to become a tad bit irritated, "Well I am sorry to say but," He raised a hoof into the air and with a swipe motion the guards were moved out of the way, "I need to talk, so stand down, I do not have time for this".

    The guards began to panic when they had realized that, an earth pony, had just moved all of the troops that stood before him, with just a motion of his hoof! "How are you doing this" the guard exclaimed at the now entering pony, "Simple but I can never explain it" Edicor replied as though it was common knowledge.

    Celestia was in the throne room talking with her student, Twilight Sparkle, about something important most likely if she had all the guards make sure nopony was to interrupt them.

    "-So you must keep an eye out for somepony who seems to pulse with strong magic even though he is not a unicorn." Princess Celestia noted to Twilight, who seemed to be confused at the time of how it could be possible, to use magic without a horn, even the though was noted as weird, "Where do you think he will show up?" Twilight asked, curious about the fact that she was never told where he was. Princess Celestia opened her mouth to reply but stopped and looked at the main door which was just opened, and a blue coated earth stallion walked in, "Here it would seem..." Celestia replied, taking note, both Twilight and Celestia felt his magic flow off him, even though he was an earth pony.

   "Ah, Celestia! Its been ages hasn't it?" Edicor said as he continued his walk into the throne room.

   After that short saying he already noticed that a lavender unicorn and some guards had taken position around the princess. Celestia opened her mouth and began to speak, "Who are you, and how did you get past my guards?" she said with a strong tone of leadership. Edicor raised his eyebrow and quickly noted something, they didn't recognize him. "Oh blast! I knew I forgot something..." he replied remembering the main fact that even he thought he wouldn't forget, this isn't his old form in this place!

"Hold on a minute, need to remember something, and perhaps you will as well!" Edicor said to everypony in the room.

    Upon saying that Princess Celestia and Twilight felt his power begin to build in strength, but it was towards himself, the stallion began to glow and was soon beginning to take a new form. His legs were the first to grow, taking a height of slightly taller than Princess Celestia. His body began to take shape along with wings beginning to sprout on his back. The stallions head began to form a horn, his color scheme swapped and turned into a white mane but lighter gray hair, and he finally finished, standing there, a full fledged alicorn.

    The guards began to show signs of confusion, being lost about the fact that the stallion before their eyes turned into a alicorn like it was nothing! Twilight looked to her teacher in hope of something being said to help figure out whats going on, but all she saw in Celestia's eyes were just pure shock and, happiness?

"It- It's you! Your back after all this time..." Celestia was talking in pure shock, Edicor just seemed to nod and say "You finally remembered". Celestia began to walk towards the alicorn, now she was near tears, "After all this time, I thought you would have come sooner, we missed you so much". Edicor seemed to be in thought, "How long has it been?" the alicorn asked, Twilight was still in shock that they seemed to know each other, Celestia was now next to the alicorn with full tears pooring out by now, she began to hug the alicorn and said something that everypony was shocked enough to hear.

"I missed you so much Dad..."
