The Origins of M Specter

Chapter 2

I was walking through a densely forested area. Each tree looked completely different in size shape and beauty. As a traversed one of the best forest I’ve ever seen  I came across a figure I didn’t know who or what it was but It was like a shadow hear one second gone the next. It stopped in a bush and as I looked into the bush the world collapsed around.

I awoke in my bed with my fore head pounding with pain, after the pounding in my head subsided the memories of the day before came rushing back. We arrived in Ponyville late the night before and we were all tired and worn out so we all decided to go straight to bed. I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom I rubbed the sleepiness out of my eyes with my hooves and looked into the mirror.

Staring back at me was a chocolate brown pony with a grey mane with black tips at the front and back, my face consisted of two bright green eyes, and three freckles on each side, with a unicorn horn protruding out of my fore head. I turned around so that I could look at my tail it was mostly grey with a black streak running through the middle. My cutie mark was a telescope with a star on the middle. I looked at my hooves and saw that at the end of them they were black instead of brown. After inspecting myself I washed my face and headed down the stairs. When I reached the living room the smell of food wafted through the air into my nostrils. I followed the smell into the kitchen to see my mom making breakfast. Her fur was peach colored, and her tail was half pink and half yellow her mane was pink. She was also a unicorn and had light yellow eyes, with a red cross for a cutie mark.

She was levitating a couple of eggs near the frying pan; my guess was that she was trying to make scrambled eggs for breakfast. “Hi mom” I said as I walked in. When she turned to look at me she looked very tired but quickly put a smile on her face and said “Hello Nicky” Nicky (pronounced as Neeky) was the nick name my family gave my so that they wouldn’t have to say my real name. “Mom you okay you look tired I suggest you go to bed” “No cookie I’m fine breakfast will be ready in a short while, go read a book or something there in the living room. I proceeded to walk into the living room again to browse at the wide selection of books I could read. I picked out a book called magic 101 and began reading on the couch.

Magic is within all creatures in Equestria though unicorns are able to use magic more efficiently because of there horns. They channel there magic from the inside of there body and release It through there horn allowing them to do many things that other species have a harder time of doing. Your special talent also has something to do with your magical ability. It allows you to excel in magic that will mostly affect what your special talent is. Here are the basic spells a unicorn should now levitation, and illumination. The more advanced spells include teleporting and summoning magic. Do not burn out the use of your magic, If you do you will feel very weak and have headaches depending on what spell you used and how long after your limit that you used it.

After I finished reading that I decided to test myself so that I could use magic freely. I set the book down on the floor and proceeded to try and levitate it. I closed my eyes and concentrated on the book trying to imagine it floating. After a couple of seconds it was lightly floating in the air. I levitated it towards me and put on the book shelf were it belonged. I got up from my seat on the couch and stretched every one of my limbs which gave out a satisfying crack. I walked into the dining room to see my mom set down six plates full of pancakes and eggs. I sat down and decided to dig in to the delicious meal in front of me. After about six minutes the rest of the family woke up and walked down the stairs. First my brother Nathan who had became a bright red Pegasus with a black and red tail and mane with a fire lightning cutie mark. Next my brother Noah who had became a light blue unicorn with a red and blue mane and tail with no cutie mark. Then my sister Abi who was alight pink unicorn with a purple mane and a pink streak going through the middle, and her tail was blue with an outline of pink, also no cutie mark. Then my dad who was a darker shade of blue then Noah, also he was a Pegasus with a red and black mane and tail.  They sat down at the table and let out a tired “good morning” before trying to eat there food.
