Sonata Apologizes
Kindness
Previous ChapterAfter school ended that day, all seven girls went to a cafe and decided to order some milkshakes. They quickly took a seat at a booth and begin drinking the milkshakes. All of the girls started talking about a party that will be hosted by Pinkie just before Summer break. While Sonata was listening to Pinkie's plans, she suddenly remember Aria and Adagio, and nearly dropped her drink.
“GIRLS!” She shouted. “Aria and Adagio are still out there, starving! What will we do?”
“Calm down, dear.” Said Rarity, placing a hand on Sonata’s shoulder to calm her down. “We'll help them.. “
Sonata didn’t like wasting time, feeling that every moment wasted could mean the difference between life and death for her old friends. She quickly replied to Rarity
“Uh, we don't have time for that!” Sonata started shouting a bit more as her sentence continued. She was becoming more stressed and worried as she kept imaging more and more terrible things that could be happening to the girls. “I'm going to find them!”
Without letting any of them respond, Sonata quickly ran out the cafe and started looking around the school where usually the other two are. Sadly, they weren't where Sonata looked so she decided to look around town instead, getting more and more scared for the two.
After an hour of searching, she saw Aria and Adagio both bickering again on the side of a street.
"There you are!" Sonata yelled. "I've been looking for you!" She was about to go and hug them, but Adagio stepped back.
“So...you decided to come back, huh?” Adagio smirked at Sonata.
“Huh? What? No!” Sonata replied. “I know you have no money, so I decided to .. help.” She looked down with a small frown and starting holding her arm again near the end of her sentence.
Adagio became angry, her eyes widening as she shouted out. "You're still friends with the Rainblossoms?!"
"They're not the Rainblossoms!" Sonata shouted. "They are the Rainboom's, and yes! I am still friends with them. I even get free food, and a free apartment with Sunset Shimmer!”
“What?!” Aria shouted in surprise. “You get free food and an apartment?!”
“Yup.” Sonata proudly replied.
“Uh! I deserve that!” Aria shouted, stepping forward with her thumb pointing at herself.
“No, I do!” Adagio shouted as well, getting in Aria’s face.
“Guys, I can really help. If you just apologize, you can get free stuff... aswell." Sonata smiled, though it quickly faded when the other two started glaring at her.
“Apologize?! Never!” Shouted Adagio. She turned and stomped away, clearly angry.
Aria didn't respond. She didn't know what to respond with for one. She just looked at Sonata, she looked so hungry and powerless. She had no money, or support. She wanted to eat, but couldn't show it. A war was going on inside her head between her pride and her stomach, her pride soon winning as she turned and walked away.
Sonata watched as both girls walked away from her. Sonata reached out for Adagio, but Adagio just stepped back and shouted. "Don't touch me!"
"Fine." Said Sonata. "But, here."
She handed Adagio some money. Twenty dollars.
"I wanted to buy something special for myself, but you can have this." said Sonata, with a small smile.
She slowly walked away from Aria and Adagio, hoping they will apologize, one day as well and they can all be friends again.
Sonata just chuckled, knowing that will never sadly happen.
As she walked back to the cafe, the other girls weren't there. She slowly, while looking down, went to Sunset's apartment, where she saw all girls standing there.
"There she is!" Rainbow shouted with a worry.
"Where were you?" Sunset asked, just as worried as Rainbow and the others..
"I gave Adagio and Aria some money so they can have some food or drink something." Sonata replied before frowning and looking down, looking like she was close to crying for her old friends. "They did not want to apologize."
"I saw that coming." Applejack groaned.
"Well, it's they're own fault." said Rarity, placing a hand on Sonata's should to try and comfort the sad girl.
Sonata was happy with her new friends but, missed Aria and Adagio. She promised herself that if she met them again, she would try to help them in anyway possible.
