Red Dead Equestria
(Author Note: The character John Marston is based on the same character from RockStars game Red Dead Redemption in case you didn't know also my friend has helped me with the spelling thank you.)
Chapter 1: The Outlaw
Twilight steered in her bed as the light of Celestia sun shined in her face at this Twilight slowly opened her eyes and got out of the bed and went to the window to see another good morning in Ponyville but when Twilight go to the window she swore she saw something blue dash away from the window believing she must be seeing thing she just ignored it later Twilight headed down stairs and went into the kitchen for some breakfast.
"Good morning Twilight" Spike said as Twilight entered the kitchen. Twilight smiled at her assistant and said "Good morning to you Spike somepony is up early today" Spike smiled at Twilight looking very proud of himself.
"yeah I figured I would get an early start today as I had a REALLY good dream last night" Twilight smiled even more at what Spike said.
"oh really this dream of yours wouldn't involve a certain white unicorn now would it" Twilight said trying to hold back a giggle, at these words Spike began to blush.
"no...Maybe. I.. Err" Spike blushed even more almost becoming a red baby dragon Twilight chuckled and went to the fridge "never mind Spike any chance of some breakfast " Twilight said looking in the fridge and seeing nothing.
"Oh...no sorry twilight I think we..." the last of spike's words were cut off from a loud burp Spike then stared at Twilight with stupid smile blushing even more, Twilight merely frowned at the purple dragon and sighed "no matter I think it's high time I got out of the library anyway ill head other to the sugercude corner and get some breakfast their" this was true as Twilight had spent almost the whole week stuck in the library studying.
"Well I'll see you later Spike" and at that she left the kitchen and went to the door of the library the morning air felt nice as Twilight stepped out of the library but then Twilight felt a large gust of wind fly past her, at this Twilight looked around wondering where the gust came from after a moment Twilight came to the conclusion that she must of scared a bird or something and at that Twilight made her way to Ponyville.
The sun was nice and bright and skies were clear and blue but that's not what Dash was focusing on, this morning Rainbow Dash was watching Twilight Sparkle from a safe distance in the clouds Rainbow felt really stupid at this point for some time she has had a crush on Twilight and could never bring herself to tell her, even today Dash had tried she landed outside Twilight's window and saw she was asleep and when she saw Twilight getting up and going towards the window, the only thing Rainbow could think of was run and she did, and later she tried to go knock on the door to see Twilight but as she got to the door it began to open and Rainbow could think to dash away again, and here Rainbow Dash was sitting on a cloud feeling stupid that she can't even go and talk to her friend.
As Twilight made her way through Ponyville she could only notice that everything was very quiet today "where is everpony" Twilight said to herself, and as she continued on she saw a large crowd of pony's around a wall of the sugercude corner as Twilight made her way through the crowd to see what the everpony was looking at, she finally made her way to the front and saw a poster, but not a normal poster, it was a "Wanted" poster and as Twilight looked at it she read.
"Wanted outlaw John Marston wanted for murder, theft, assault and kidnapping. we are paying 200 gold peaces for the capture of this outlaw Dead or Alive..." Twilight had stopped reading at this point as the mayor had call for everponys attention
" Now everpony do not panic about the outlaw just keep your distance and don't make contact with him as they believe he is heading out of the west to Ponyville and he is known to be armed now good day to you all" and at this she left as did every other pony with a look of worry on their faces, Twilight look around the crowd and saw her friend Applejack picking her saddlebag up.
"Hey Applejack" Twilight called out making her way to her friend, at this Applejack turned to the source of the caller and she saw Twilight and smiled.
"Well howdy to ya Twilight" she said as twilight made her way to her, Twilight stopped as she was in front of Applejack.
"Good morning to you to Applejack..So what do you make of this outlaw thing" at this Applejack frowned and checked her saddlebag before answering after a moment she said "all I'm gonna say Twi who ever set up the bounty for that outlaw must really want him bad"
Twilight was slightly confused at what Applejack said "what makes you say that" twilight said still confused.
"well think about it Twi he's an outlaw coming from out of the west, any outlaw that makes it out of the west would most likely be out of reach from the laws hand, but if poster of this outlaw are being sent to Ponyville and other place around here then you can only think how dangers this pony must be....look Twi I gotta get back to work I'll see you later" Twilight was still thinking about what Applejack but nodded all the same.
"ok Applejack take care of yourself" she said as Applejack made her way past her "you to Twi..you too" more to herself then Twilight and at that she made her way home, but Twilight had turned to look at the wanted poster again and looked at the picture of the outlaw, he was a light brown earth pony with a black mane with a black hat and a apple with 3 bullet holes for a cutie mark, Twilight looked back up to the place where the outlaws name was "John Marston".

Just outside of Ponyville a small camp was made for one pony, John looked up at the sky that had turned red and was turning to a black sky, john wondered to himself how he had made it this far without any gun fight going off but he was happy none the less, just being able to travel this far in peace but he still couldn't help but worry.
For he had to run away from the pony's who told him he could live in peace with his family after he did his job and tuck damn the pony's he once called friends, and for a time it was good being able to be with his wife and son again until they came for him trying to kill him, he hasn't seem his family in a whole year, he has been travelling alone in the west until he came to the conclusion that they will find him and kill him so he had to leave the west and find some peace again,
but maybe that's what he can do here at his next destination Ponyville, as the sun finally set John decided that it would be best to get some sleep it would be along day tomorrow he would need to get some supplies just in case he had to leave again as he was very low on food and water, after checking his revolver was good and loaded he allowed himself to drift into a deep sleep the last fort that John could think of was
"for once cant I just have some peace."

The next morning John awoke to sound of birds singing, as he got up he saw the sun was high in the nice clear blue sky, john began to pack his minicamp away, after double checking everything was packed in his large saddlebag he made his way to Ponyville.

Rainbow Dash was making a few more checks on the sky making sure it was perfect before going to try and tell twilight about her feeling even though it was pointless, but then dash saw some pony making his way to Ponyville, but after she had a closer look terror went over her like a bucket of ice cold water, Rainbow knew that it was that outlaw everpony was talking about but the only thing that Rainbow could think about was to go and tell Twilight and at that she made a dash for the library.

Twilight was sitting on the floor of the library reading a new book when aloud knocking came from the door, Twilight placed the book down and went to the door to see Rainbow Dash looking scared.
"Rainbow Dash are you ok you look like you've seen a ghost" at this Rainbow went inside the library and turned to face Twilight as she closed the door and went to join Dash.
"T-Twilight..I think we might have a problem" Dash said trying to evaded eye contact with Twilight as Rainbow just remember the original reason she had come for but she was trying to hide it, Twilight raised an eyebrow at the odd way that the Pegasus was behaving.
"Rainbow Dash what's wrong what's the problem we" she said trying to calm her friend, Dash then remember about the outlaw that was heading to Ponyville "Twilight!..That outlaw that everpony has been talking about is on his way here I saw him making his way" Twilight's eyes widened at this remembering what Applejack said yesterday "if poster of this outlaw are being sent to Ponyville and other place around here then you can only think how dangers this pony must be."
"Rainbow...are you sure it was him your sure it wasn't some new pony coming to town" Rainbow Dash just shook her head "no doubt about it Twilight he had the hat and everything" Dash said now looking into Twilights eyes

"Ok Dash I'm going to go find him and see if I can talk him out off hurting anypony" at this Dash's became wide.
"are you crazy Twilight he could kill you" Twilight smiled at her friend but something in Twilight's heart hated thinking of Rainbow Dash as just a friend but she ignored it.
"Don’t worry Dash I'll be fine anyway you have my back right" she said smiling at Rainbow at these word Dash could help but feel proud of herself at what Twilight said.
"Yeah! I've got you back no outlaws going to hurt my friends" but Dash couldn't help but feel the same pain as Twilight did of thinking of her as just a friend but Rainbow decided to hide it by smiling at Twilight
"ok Rainbow take me to were you last saw him" and at that they both made their way to the door to go find the outlaw.

John made his way through Ponyville the main thing that he notices was that nopony was round, he saw most stores were closed even though it was bright day as he continued on he found one place that had no close sign on it, the store sign said it was called the Sugarcude corner thinking it must be better than nothing john made his way to the door but before he went in he saw a poster on the side of the door and as John read the poster he sighed and ripped the poster down and put it in his saddlebag, now I know why there is nopony around john thought the best thing at this moment was to leave but he needed goods and water if he was going to make it to the next town, after placing his saddlebag on the ground next to the door John entered.
John could smell freshly baked goods coming from somewhere as john looked around nopony was here but there was a bell at the counter john made his way to the counter looked at the bell for a minute and hit it, and as if by magic a pink earth pony popped up from under the counter with a mane that looked slightly like cotton candy.
"Hello there sir I'm Pinkie Pie and sure happy to see someone come in" she said very fast smiling john stood there for a minute and smiled back.
"Well howdy their nice to see somepony for a change, may I ask where is everpony the whole town seems deserted today" at this Pinkie frown but put her smile back within a second.
"Oh there all scared of some western outlaw that seems to be heading into town but that's not going to stop us selling some goods no sir" she said with a even bigger smile, good then she took a closer look at John "now that I think about it I haven't seen you before have I seen you somewhere you seem...."
John felt his smile slip away "I don't think so miss I just got here" but at this Pinkie Pie's began to beam brightly.
"I just had a super idea if your new in town then you must have no friends and if you don't have any friends then you must feel so lonely how about a super PARTY! So you can meet people" Pinkie said beaming even more at john.
"Sorry miss but I'm gonna have to say no, I don't plan on staying long I wish I could but after what I saw I’m gonna have to keep moving" after that Pinkie Pie started to look sad from what John said.
"But I do need some supplies before I leave and I sure can smell something good" Pinkie smile reappeared from John's word.
"Ok what can I get you we have many different type of treats cakes, muffins, pies..." at this John put a hoof to Pinkie’s mouth "you sure do like to talk don't ya" Pinkie nodded happily.
"well I think I'll have 4 muffins please" John said taking his hoof away from Pinkie's mouth
Pinkie smiled turned and shouted "HEY Mrs Cake We have a customer" at this Mrs Cake came from the kitchen smiling, but as soon as her eye fell on John she screamed, Pinkie looked at Mrs Cake scared and confused, when Mrs Cake stopped Screaming she stared and pointed at John.
" you alright miss something wrong" John said knowing full well why she was screaming
"your...the..your..the..the" Mrs Cake stuttered Pinkie looked back at John more closely
"Hey! now I know who you are your that outlaw that everponys suppose to be scared of, but you don't seem scary to me" smiling still John couldn't help but smile at Pinkie
"g-g-get...out" John and Pinkie looked back at Mrs Cake She was staring angrily at John but still had a sign of fear in her eyes
"But Mrs Cake..." but Pinkie was interrupted by John's hoof again "now don't yourself into trouble because of me I think its best that I leave good day to y'all" and at that be made his way to the door and felt, Mrs Cake looked very surprised at John leaving without attacking anypony, Pinkie looked back at Mrs Cake looking angry.
John left the Sugarcude corner and went back to his saddlebag getting ready to leave Ponyville.

Twilight was walking through Ponyville with Rainbow Dash flying over her, they tried to find John Marston and tried to stop him doing..well whatever he is known to do that is bad but they have had no luck in finding him.
Dash then landed next to Twilight feeling bad she had lead Twilight on a wild goose chase, but as Rainbow was about to say something to Twilight she saw an earth pony putting on his saddlebag and he had a black hat.
"T-T-Twilight look" rainbow said pointing out, Twilight followed where she was pointing and saw the earth pony with black hat making his way towards them , Twilight's eye's went wide at the sight of him.
"quick Rainbow we need to talk to him" and they both ran towards the earth pony, john was looking at the ground feeling that he's never gonna get a break.
"Excuse me!" John looked up and saw two pony's running towards him as they made it to John figured they were going to ask him to leave the nice way to get rid of him "excuse me...are you the outlaw..John..Marston.." Twilight said stuttering slightly
"yeah that's me if your gonna ask me to leave nicely or something like that don't waste your time I was already leaving" Twilight and Rainbow both looked very confused at the outlaw.
"wait your leaving why" Rainbow said still thinking is this the same outlaw
at this point John reached into his saddlebag and took out the wanted poster of him and placed it in front of Rainbow and Twilight "it's quiet clear that I aint welcome here too so its best I leave now" John said taking the poster and putting in back in his saddlebag Rainbow and twilight still looked confused but then Twilight said.
"wait so you're not here to kidnap and murder and stuff" John then closed his eyes and sighed
"no I aint but most believe I will from these damn posters" John then opened his eyes again and look at Twilight "I just want to get a life for myself again but when I saw that poster I new full well that I wasn't gonna be welcome here so I tried to get some food and water from that place (pointing at the Sugarcude corner) but the owner knew who I was and screamed at me to leave so I did" John made his way past Twilight when she stopped him.
"we could take you back to my place and give you some food and water" Twilight said feeling sad for John and how Rainbow and her Treated him "thank ya kindly miss but I don't want to be a bother" john said trying to make his way past the lavender unicorn but was stopped again by her.
"please my name is Twilight Sparkle and it's no bother at all but I can't just sit here and let you go when you're hungry" then tried to smile John looked away for a moment sighed and smiled back at Twilight.
"I'm gonna guess that your kind of pony that's not gonna take no for an answer" John said Twilight then nodded really smiling this time.
"very well miss Sparkle lead the way" and at that they made their way back to the library.

Twilight, Rainbow Dash and john had made it back to the library, and John looked around the library surprised that such a large library fit within this tree after looking around he turned to Twilight.
"this sure is a nice library you got here miss Sparkle" John said turning to look at the many books, Twilight blushed slightly which made Rainbow frown, Twilight then went up to John
"Thank you...and please call me Twilight" Twilight said smiling at John who was still looking at the many books in the library then finally answered "I'll try and work on that Miss Sparkle" Twilight smiled then remembered about Spike then she called out "SPIKE!" soon after the purple baby dragon made his way out of the kitchen.
"you called" Spike said taking a low bow, Twilight giggled at her assistant and pointed to John "Spike this is Mr Marston, Mr Marston this is my assistant Spike" John tipped his hat slightly and said "howdy their friend" Spike replied with a simple "sup" and then made his way back to the kitchen but then Spike turned again and said "Hey Twilight I was just about to make dinner is Mr Marston and Rainbow Dash staying for dinner too?"
Twilight looked at Rainbow Dash smiled "well would you like to have dinner with us Dash" Twilight said softly Rainbow thought for a minute it would be great to spend time with Twilight and she still not sure she can trust Marston she finally smiled and nodded, then Twilight turned to John "what about you Mr Marston will you have dinner with us" a little bit of hope in her voice, John considered it a moment thinking even if he said no she most likely would not take it as an answer.
"sure why I've not eaten a good meal in sometime" he finally answered, Twilight beamed at him then made her way to help Spike in the kitchen leaving John and Rainbow alone who made their way to sit on the sofa.
there was silence for awhile then John finally spoke "well we've not really introduced our selves to each other" when he put his hoof forward to shake "John Marston" he said Rainbow looked at it for a moment then took it "I'm Rainbow Dash" they shook.
"so tell me miss Dash how long have you known Twilight" he said looking at Rainbow Dash "err" Rainbow wasn't sure how to answer even if it was a simple question finally Dash answered "oh about a year now" she said thinking to herself "and still haven't told her how I really feel about her"
After an hour of talking Twilight had called that dinner was ready they were having some salad and later had apple pie after they had finished eating John sat back and said "now that was a good meal thank ya Spike and you Twilight" Twilight and Spike smiled at John
"yeah thanks guys that was good" Rainbow said soon after, the sun was soon setting Spike Yawned loudly and said he was going to bed after saying goodnight to everyone he went upstairs "yep I think its best I get moving too and find a place to make camp for the night" John began to grab his saddlebag when Twilight called out "you could spend the night here Mr Marston" John turned to Twilight thinking "well I think I've taken up enough of your kindness Miss Sparkle its time I got moving"
Rainbow looked at Twilight looking slightly sad then she said "come on John it's no bother I mean is it Twilight" but Twilight was beaming at Rainbow which made her blush a little "yeah Mr Marston it's no bother please" Twilight said John looked at her and then said "are you sure" he said Twilight nodded.
"well alrighty then" he said smiling "great you can take my bed if you want I can take sofa" Twilight said smiling "no that won't be needed you can take your own bed ill take the sofa" Twilight smiled then looked at Dash "will you spend the night here to Rainbow" Twilight asked.
Dash's heart was racing a chance to spend the night with Twilight it was too good to be true "sure why not" she said after a moment "great I'll set the guest bed up in my room" she then turned back too John "well I guess we will head up goodnight Mr Marston" John smiled "goodnight to you too Miss Sparkle but please call me John" as Twilight and Rainbow made their way upstairs she grinned at John and said "I'll start calling you John as soon as you start calling me Twilight" John laughed slightly "fair enough Miss Sparkle fair enough goodnight" she went upstairs, and John made his way to the sofa.
as he began to drift off to sleep he thought to himself "maybe things can get better" then he fell asleep.

Chapter 2: Seeing Red
The next morning john awoke to the smell of something being cooked, john then slowly opened his eyes and looked around. the sun was shining through an open window letting in the nice cool air, john then got up from the sofa and made his way to the kitchen, when john entered the kitchen he was greeted by twilight making breakfast, she turned and saw john was awake and smiled.
"good morning john" she said while moving two plates to the table. "good morning to you too miss twilight sleep well" "very well thank you john why don't you have a seat breakfast is almost ready" john smiled and made his way to the table and sat down "where is miss rainbow dash and that little dragon" john asked as twilight made her way to the table levitating some eggs and toast with her magic to the plates on the table.
"spike went to help are friend rarity find some gems for her new dress, and dash said she had some important stuff to do and left" they began to eat there breakfast, but just as they began their was a knocking at the door "I wonder who that could be this early in the morning" twilight said getting up and walking to the door, twilight opened the door to see applejack with a look of worry on her face.
"good morning applejack" twilight began before applejack interrupted her "TWILIGHT didn't ya hear the news that outlaw is here in ponyville!" she finished looking even more worried, twilight just smiled at her panicking friend "I know applejack there is no need to be so worried" as twilight finished applejack looked at her like she had just lost her mind "not to worry twilight he's dangerous he could hurt somepony maybe even kill them I think this is a perfect time to worry" said apple jack feeling like she had made her point.
twilight sighed and turn to the kitchen "mr marston could you come here for a second" john then entered from the kitchen "is there a problem miss twilight" "no problem john I wanted to intrudes you to my friend applejack, john marston this is applejack, applejack this is john marston" applejack looked at john for a hole 10 seconds before yelling "ITS HIM! twilight what in the hay has gotten into you that him the outlaw!" john looked down sadly, and as twilight was about to yell back at applejack they heard a loud scream.
applejack turned around to the sores of the scream "that sounds like rarity she's in trouble" applejack said and at that john looked up went to the sofa and grab his hat and put it on his head then ran out the door towards the screaming "john where are you going" twilight said looking at john running " YOU GET RIGHT BACK HERE!, come on twilight I'm not letting him out of my sight for a second" and with that applejack and twilight run after john.

spike was running through ponyville as fast as he could he need to find twilight and the other's fast, but as he was lost in throat he ran into somepony spike fell back and slowly looked up to see john standing over him spike then quickly jumped back up.
"mr marston....rarity....need twilight.." spike was talking fast and not making any senses to john "slow down friend calm down and tell me what happening" john said calmly, spike tuck a deep breath and then spoke "its rarity those diamond dogs ponynapped her again and are holding her hostage in the centre of town" john looked at him taking in all what spike said .
"ok head back to the library and get twilight ill head to the centre of town and ill see what I can do" spike nodded and began running past john and back to the library, john watch him for a second then ran for the town centre.
rainbow dash sat on a cloud enjoying the cool air blowing through her mane when she heard heavy panting, she looked down at ponyville and saw spike running, she then jumped of the cloud and glided down to spike and landed in front of him "hey spike what's happen...." "no time rainbow I need to.." spike began before he saw two pony's running towards them "SPIKE" twilight shouted as her and applejack reached spike and rainbow.
"TWILIGHT its thoughts diamond dogs again they've taken rarity and are holding her hostage at the town centre john went to go help her" "help her more like kill her come on let's get after him" said applejack and then the group ran for the town centre. john finally made it to the town centre and look at the situation in front of him three dogs stood by a fountain the middle one with a red vest was holding a white unicorn with a curled purple mane, the middle dog looked at john and spoke.
"we don't want you pony we want the once who made foals of us and we will have are revenge" john looked at the dogs with anger in his eye's as john and the dogs stared at each other spike, rainbow dash, twilight and applejack made it to town centre watching john and the dogs from a short distance after what seemed like hours the dogs saw twilight and the others then his anger grow then he spoke again.
"there they are now pony step aside so we can take care of them" john looked behind him saw the others then looked back at the diamond dogs with a cold stare "I wouldn't recommend that friend why don't you put the lady down before one of us does something the other will regret" john finished and at this the dogs just laughed "what can you do to us diamond dogs your just a stupid pony with a hat" they continued to laugh john new that these dogs weren't going to back down john looked once more at twilight and her friends and saw fear in their eyes he then went back to the dogs and focused the world seemed to slow down around john as he aimed at one of each of the diamond dogs paws then reached for his revolver grabbed it in his mouth pointed at the dogs put his tongue around the trigger and fired the world came back to normal speed the three bullets hit the dogs paws and as they did they recoiled in pain grabbing their paws at the same time dropping rarity who quickly ran towards twilight and they others, john returned the gun back to its holster and looked at the diamond dogs who looked back in fear.
"diamond dogs retreat!" and then they ran as fast as they could out of ponyville, john watch then run let out a breath forgetting he was holding it, he then turned and made his way to the other.
"rarity are you ok" twilight started putting a hoof on her friends shoulder "yes I'm fine thank you darling" rarity said turning to face john "but I must thank you for saving me kind sir" john smiled and bowed his hat "just trying to help out miss" but before john could continue he saw that pony's were starting to gaver around the group john also saw their eyes were on him and just as he believed it was best for him to start leaving there was a RAR of cheers, not of anger and rage but of celebration and happiness john looked a little confused as the mayor approached john.
"I believe I speak for everypony when I say we thank you so much for saving rarity and getting rid of the diamond dogs you are a hero mr..r" the mayor trailed off looking sheepishly at john "marston john marston" john said fear creeping down him, he knew for sure that they would chase him out of town know that they knew his name but was surprised to see the mayor smile at him "well john marston thank you ever so much and welcome to ponyville" and at this there was another round of cheers from the crowd, john couldn't help but smile a bit he turned to look at twilight who was smiling at him, then a pony came out of the crowd who came to john with a sorry look in her eyes, john recognised her as misses cake the baker who yelled at him to leave her shop.
"mr...marston.." she began as everyponys eyes landed on her "I wanted to apologise for my behaviour when you first arrived I was quick to judge and.." but the rest of her sent ants was cut by john holding up a hoof "don't you worry about it miss I understand its fine" john said with a smile which put a smile on her face, applejack also came to john "me too mr marston my behaviour was unacceptable and" but she too was cut off by john placing a hoof on applejack shoulder "I say it again miss applejack I understand ant no need to apologise" applejack too smiled sheepishly as the crowd began to cheer once more, twilight then came beside john and smiled happily at misses cake and applejack then turned to john "I think we should head back to the library we didn't get to finish breakfast" said twilight john smiled and nodded they then turned and stared walking back as everpony began going their separate ways spike jumped on twilights back as she had stop to speak to rarity "are going to be ok rarity would like to come back to the library with us" "no thank you darling I think ill gust go home it's been a troubling morning" and with that rarity turned and made her way home, twilight smiled and turned to rainbow dash "what about you rainbow would you like to join us" rainbow thought for a moment then shuck her head "no thanks twi I still have a few things to-do" dash lied this put a sad look on twilights face witch curt dash off guard "but I could have lunch later maybe" rainbow said adding a small smile, and by her surprise twilight look back up with a happy look on her face.
"ok I'll see you later dashie" twilight said which made rainbow blush "yeah...right see 'ya" then dash zoomed away quickly, smiling twilight looked at john "well shall we" twilight said "lead the way miss twilight" john replied they then made their way back to the library.

Maine's Log: Yeah sorry it's not good or long but hey nopony is perfect and my stories are not the greatest thing ever I'm sure these another one of these stories around the truth is i tried to do too much at once like twidash and stuff oh well Maine out.
