Cutie Mark Chronicles

Princess Luna was Starlight Glimmer's mother. She was not an unicorn, but an alicorn. Princess Luna, or called Queen Luna at that time, was raising the moon, while Starlight, or we should say Princess Starlight, was raising the stars.

"Ready for another raising, sweetie?" Luna asked Starlight in a quiet Tuesday afternoon.

"I guess" the princess replied.

Luna and Starlight flew to the balcony. Starlight used her horn to make the stars appear one by one, while Luna raised the moon with her horn.

"Um, mom? Can I ask you something?" the little princess asked.

"Anything, sweetheart." the queen replied.

"Why do we have to do this all the time?" Starlight asked, confused.

"It's our duty" Luna replied.

"Duty?! This is what you call duty!?" Starlight asked, furious.

Suddenly, a purple shooting star leaving a cyan trail flew around. Luna was possesed by its beauty and flew to it. She fell, hearing a voice in her head:

"I command you to lay down."

"Mom!" Starlight shouted, startled.

The young princess flew as far she could. She used her magic to control the star and head it back in space. Luna woke up. A star like the shooting star, but with bended trail, appeared on Starlight's flank.

"Good job, my dear!" Luna said, wrapping one of her wings around her daughter.
