Chapters Chapter 1: Hello Mr. Rift!
Exhausted, ashamed, and slightly annoyed was what could best describe him now as Shadow Rift slammed the door behind him with his wing, slumping against it like he was dead weight. His day had been much more rough than it was any other day, mostly because of the fact that yet another show had ended for him. Who knew that being a high flying daredevil could take so much energy out of you?
Eventually getting up, despite the odds, Shadow Rift made his way into the kitchen a poured himself a nice cool cup of water, quickly downing it before grabbing another cup full and floating over to his couch, setting it on the coffee table and slumping down on the couch, reminiscing about his entire day. The usual had occurred, large audience, cheering fans, and over exaggerated flight and stunt patterns. Originally, he had become a show stallion because he enjoyed the thrill of every death defying stunt and action that he had pulled off over the course of two years, every adrenaline driven stunt and flight pattern gave him enjoyment out of his job. But as soon as the fans started popping up and began going to his shows, the thrill was gone. In his mind, he was just another thrill junkie turned show stallion turned trained dog, flipping at every command and then being thrown a treat.
Every so often, he'd meet another mare who would try to date him. Most of the time, he would decline, however other times, he would stumble upon another beauty, date them, and then never be spoken to again. Other beauty's he would met and ask on a date would just decline. And this time was absolutely no different when he asked a mare out with blue eyes, a blond mane, and white fur. She was quiet and slightly shy as she responded to Shadow Rift's request, blushing brightly as she spoke with a type of British accent. The weird part about her was how Shadow was slightly disappointed that he was rejected by her, mostly because he never really felt that with other mares.
The knock on his door had surprised Rift slightly and pulled his attention away from his thoughts. Weird... He thought to himself, didn't expect anypony over today. "Who is it?" He said as he opened the door, finding the same mare from before in front of his door, wearing a pink collar with matching colored socks covering each of her legs.
"Um... Hello Mister Rift..." Damnit Manhood stay down!!! "Um... May I come in?" She said, gripping her right arm with her left arm.
"Uh sure some in." Shadow said, stepping out of her way and raising his hoof up, signifying for her to come in. Stepping into his apartment, the mare took a seat on his couch, smiling and blushing a bright pink as she continued to hold her arm. "Is there anything I can get you?" He asked as he shut the door and moved to the side of the couch. "I would appreciate a glass of water perhaps... Thank you..." She said, offering a comforting smile as she spoke.
It didn't take Shadow Rift to pour her a glass of water, and he soon returned to his living room and set it in front of her. As she took it in her hooves and took a small drink, Shadow Rift took a seat next to her, his Colthood continuing to expand as he waited. Thankfully, it wasn't exactly prominent or seen by her. Setting her cup back down on the coffee table, she lightly wiped her lips and looked back at Shadow Rift, her eyes twinkling as light danced off of them.
"So uh, I'm not exactly complaining, but what exactly are you here for Miss...?"
"Oh! Yes... Um... Forgive me Mister Rift... My name is Arynnae... And I came to... Uhh..."
"Yeah...?" Shadow said, noticing her cheeks beginning to turn an even darker shade of pink.
"I... I came to accept your offer..."
Shadow Rift, though slightly confused at Arynnae's offer, shrugged his shoulders and continued on. " alright then. I'm free tomorrow night if you're okay with-"
"Uh actually Mister Rift. I came for something else as well..." She said, gripping her shoulder a little more and shyly smiling, her blush now turned a deep red. "Alright..." Shadow said, a little uneasy about what this mare had planned, "what else did you come for?"
"Well..." Slowly, Arynnae began to scoot towards Shadow, eventually making it over to him and running her hooves down his arms, her eyes half lidded as she examined his body. "I was hoping I could maybe... Relax with you..." She said as she pressed herself against Shadow's chest, a dreamy smile put on her face as she shut her eyes and placed a hoof on his chest.
Shadow Rift, not complaining at all about the mare on his chest, wrapped his arm around the mare and took her hoof off of his chest, bringing it up to his mouth and deeply kissing it, making the mare on him giggle like a little school filly as he felt the smooth texture of her sock against his lips. Eventually, his other hoof found its way into her mane, running through it slowly and electing another giggle from the mare, now laying her head on his chest and her right hoof on his chest.
After he had finished kissing her hoof, Shadow Rift looked down at the sleeping form of Arynnae. If he had thought she looked beautiful awake, he found that when she was asleep, she was twice as beautiful. As her chest continued to rise and fall, Shadow Rift smiled and bent down, giving her a passionate kiss on the lips before slightly taking flight with her in his arms, moving ever so carefully into his bedroom and setting her down on a chair. As he made it to his bed, he threw back the blankets and went back, taking Arynnae in his arms and sending her down on the right side of his bed, placing blankets around her as well.
Entering into the bed, Shadow Rift pulled the blankets over himself and pulled the sleeping Arynnae closer to him, turning her to face him and hugging her one more time. He knew somewhere deep in his gut that she wanted a little more than to 'relax' with him, but he decided that was for another time.
Right now, all that mattered to him was that she was in his arms...

Chapter 2: sex in the morning
Light travelled through the window and hit Arynnae straight in her face, awakening her from the best dream she ever-
Wait, she thought to herself, this isn't my bed...
"Well..." Shadow Rift said, trotting over to her with a smile on his face, "Good to see your up Miss Arynnae. How did you sleep?"
"Please forgive me Mister Rift! I didn't mean to come on strong like that I just-"
"Hey..." He said in a calming voice as he began to stroke her silky mane. "I'm not mad or embarrassed. If it's anything, I'm a little happy that you came over."
Arynnae, slightly confused at Shadow's calmness towards the situation. "But I... I..."
"You're fine..." He said, placing his hoof over her own. "Did you enjoy last night?" She shook her head up and down, "Then you have nothing to worry about."
At first, she was going to object to what Shadow had to say. There was just something wrong with the way it all happened. It didn't feel right. But knowing Shadow the way most knew him, he was going to be arrogant about it and opted to place her arms around his back and pull him into an embrace.
Returning the embrace along with a kiss on her head, Shadow Rift pulled away from her and gave her a soothing smile. "Better... Did you sleep well last night at least?"
Arynnae hated admitting it, mostly because it was still a horrible thing of her to do. But... "I slept better then I have in years Mister Rift. Thank you." Arynnae said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "You don't have to thank me, and don't call Mister Rift, ok? Call me either Shadow or Rift." He said, setting himself on the bed and taking Arynnae in his arms, gently nuzzling her cheek and making her giggle.
"So... Uh... Shadow... What did you have planned for the day?"
"Well..." He said taking her hoof up in his own, kissing it once more and making Arynnae giggle once more as he savored the feeling of her sock once again. "You enjoy doing that don't you?" Arynnae said, taking back her hoof from Shadow's grasp, "Do you not like it?" He said with his eyes half lidded. "Actually..." She said as she placed her hoof back in Shadow's, who looked back at her to notice a seductive smile, "I do like it..." With a devilish smile of his own, Shadow Rift placed her hoof over his mouth and began to deeply kiss it, making Arynnae gasp and moan as he continued to kiss her hoof, still savoring each kiss and its feeling. After some time, Shadow had begun to realize she had once again moved under his chest and began to drag her tongue up his neck. By this time, Shadow's Colthood had begun to harden and expand to its full length. Arynnae, on the other hoof, had begun to grind against his body, still moaning at his kisses and beginning to leak her own juices on him.
Moving her hoof away from his mouth, Shadow looked down at Arynnae with a devilish smile, whereas she was looking up at him with a blush and slightly embarrassed look on her face. "I'm- I'm sorry ShadOW!" She said as Shadow Rift pulled her up by her collar. "Your sorry?" He said with the same devilish smile, to which she shook her head shyly. With a chuckle, Shadow Rift whispered in her ear, "You want this don't you?" To which Arynnae let out another shake of her head.
"Well..." He said as he looked down at her again, noticing that she was blush hard like a mad mare and smiled again. As he grabbed her plot with one hoof she gasped and looked up at him, her blush now spreading throughout the rest of her face. She desperately wanted this to happen, but she had no idea what to do. She was a virgin up until this point and never even attempted to do something this. But if her first time was with anypony, she had hoped it would've been Shadow.
"Who am I to keep a mare waiting?" Shadow said, stealing her old life in the most lewd way possible as he placed his throbbing Colthood in her silky smooth marehood. It felt incredible to have Shadow deep inside of her as he continued to pump deep into her insides, filling ever part of her with his colthood. To Shadow, her walls were as tight as ever as they held Shadow inside in any attempts of him getting out. Her head, however, simply became dead weight on his chest as he continued to thrust into her. At times he had no idea whether or not she was still with him, but after a she had begun to scream in sexual delight, he was certain she was still there. "Oh my Celestia Shadow!!!" She screamed as begun to grind her hips against him, "Oh yes yes yes yes!!! MORE!!!!!" The hungry mare shouted as she continued to scream at his continuous thrusts into her body.
Shadow, now clear on how this must be her first time, continued to thrust into her body, making her shouts become even louder at his continuous thrusts. Making her look up at him, Shadow pulled her up once again, placing their lips into a deep embrace, Arynnae occasionally moaning in his mouth and squeezing her eyes with each thrust. Placing his left hoof under her stomach and the other on her soft plot, Shadow gave it another squeeze, making Arynnae moan as she came up for air. Taking the opportunity for himself, Shadow's hind legs managed to wrap around her hind legs, giving him even more strength for his thrusting. "Shadow!!!!" She screamed and slammed her lips down on his, moaning with sexual delight before her head left his own and over his left shoulder.
"S-Sh-Sh-Shadow..." She said, her eyes now shut and squeezing together hard. "Feels s-s-so g-g-good! C-C-C-Can't... S-S-See... S-Straight..." At this rate, Shadow was certain that she wasn't going to last very long. And, sure enough, he was proven right. "Sh-Sh-Shadow I'm-I'm- I'm cloooooooose... SHADOW!!!!" She said as she released the dams holding back her mare juices, making its way all over Shadow Rift and his bed. Fuck his bed...
A little too literally...
As she finished all over Shadow, her head once again went limp and made its way to his left shoulder, simply lying there, attempting to regain herself. While she had, Shadow had begun to feel himself ready. Pulling himself out of her, he placed himself under her stomach and finished on her stomach, his seed hitting her like hot arrows as Shadow too fell back on the bed in an attempt to regain his own composure.
The two had laid there in silence as the day continued to pass. Thankfully, Shadow's neighbors had all left on their own individual vacations to either Canterlot or Manehatten. And right around the time he decided to have his way.
Eventually, the rapid breathing and silence ceased as Arynnae broke into a fit of giggles. "What's got you laughing so hard?" Shadow said, taking noticed of Arynnae's laughter. "I was just thinking how odd that was Shadow. It felt odd but also sooo good..." She said as she made her way under his chin, lovingly closing her eyes. "You enjoyed it didn't you?"
"Didn't you Arynnae?"
"Yes I did. Although you must have throughly enjoyed yourself..."
Sighing, Shadow Rift chuckled and once again grabbed her hoof in his own, the sock covering her hoof now covered in Shadow's seed. "Are you Not going to kiss it this time?" She asked with a seductive look in her eyes.
"Not until we wash the sex off us first. I think you and I should take a bath or something before we take off anywhere." He said as he removed her sock, revealing her pristine white hoof.
"Please?" Arynnae said as she placed her hoof in front of Shadow, who just rolled his eyes and took her hoof with his own once again. "Can't say no to you now can I?" He said as he brought it to his lips, kissing it the same way he did before except this time enjoying it even further as he felt her pristine, silky fur against his lips. She once again giggled and laid on Shadow's chest, bringing her other hoof to his chest and lightly rubbing it as she pressed herself further into Shadow's body, his warmth falling into her like she was next to a warm fire.
"Shadow?"
"Yes...?" He said smoothly as he brought his lips away from her hoof. "Can we shower later please? I just... Just want to enjoy this for as long as possible..."
Smiling, Shadow placed his wings over her body, and raised her up slowly until their muzzles were mere inches from each other's. "Fine, one or two minutes. But I need something from-"
Silencing Shadow with her lips, Arynnae pulled Shadow into a passionate kiss, who gladly returned the favor as their kiss brought them both into a deep sleep.
Chapter 3: We need a bath
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. Chapter 4: An angel falls
Blackness was the only thing surrounding him as Shadow continued to walk through the blackened world surrounding him. He had no idea where in Equestria he was, and a large part of him that it probably wasn't even Equestria anymore as the uneasy feeling continued to rock him to his core. "Hello?!" He screamed out as his voice continued to echo in this abyss. "Anypony here?!" No response came as he continued to trek through this place, everywhere he looked he saw nothing but the same darkness surrounding him in this world.
The uneasy feeling he had felt now turned to one of slight fright as he continued to trot. As he did, he could feel something or somepony watching him in the distance, waiting for something. His fears were confirmed when he could hear slight hoof steps echoing in the distance, stopping him dead in his tracks. "Who's there!!?" He called out to the darkness, the only response he was given was a gravelly laugh that quickly turned into a crazed and sadistic laugh mocking him in the darkness

The laughter continued as Shadow's fear continued to grow, mocking him for his fear until it finally stopped and replaced with the same deafening silence as before. However that two was replaced quickly as an all too familiar voice let out a blood curdling scream.
"SHADOW!!! HEEEELP!!!!"
"ARYNNAE!!!!" Shadow screamed as he ran as fast as he could towards her voice, taking flight towards her and continuing his fast pace. As he heard the sound of metal impacting flesh, however, he stopped once again dead in his tracks.
"no..." He said quietly, picking up his speed again until eventually finding the body of a white mare with a blond mane. "No no no no no no..." He said, landing and approaching the body. Kneeling before it, he slowly turned it to see a beautiful mare, a large blood pool under her and blood staining her once white mane, now turned into a tangled slightly grey mess. "No no no no, please Arynnae!" He shouted, taking her head in his hooves and attempting to keep her with him, "please..."
Laying his head into her mane, Shadow Rift's developing tears fell from his eyes and into her mane. "Not again... Please Arynnae... please..." He whispered, his tears breaking through his eyes like a dam as he attempted to apply pressure to her fatal wound, her blood only mixing into Shadow's red hoof. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry Arynnae... I failed you..." He said through his tears, the sadistic laugh returning with the same mocking tone as before.
"Yes you have..." Said a deep, slightly regal voice as the form of a large stallion came from the darkness, staring over Shadow Rift with a large smile as sadistic as his laugh. "How does it feel Mister Rift... To know that every pony you surround yourself with is destined to this fate?" The Stallion over him said in a mocking tone, "To know that you are utterly helpless to watch these ponies fall before you?" The stallion got closer to Shadow as he spoke, his silver chest piece shining onto Shadow Rift, "to know that you have failed them?" Placing a hoof on top of Shadow's head, the stallion continued once again. "And to know..." He said, slowly making his way to his ear, the same mocking smile on his face making its way to his ear, "It's... All... Your... Fault..."
Pulling back his head, Shadow's gaze came to rest on the former king of the crystal empire, a large smile plastered on his face and a green shadow coming from his eyes. "Such a shame that such a beautiful mare such as her, fell because of an animal like you..."
"No..." Shadow said, barely above a whisper as he slowly began shaking his head. "She will fall like the others before her. And you?" A chuckle came from the king, "Will be completely powerless to stop it. Those who you surround yourself with are destined for a fate such as this..." He said, his hoof dragging along her wound and blood building up on it, "It's just a shame that this one will wind up the same..."
"No... She can't... I won't let it happen again! I WON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!" Shadow scream at the once again laugh king as he dissipated into the shadows surrounding them. "I WON'T LET IT HAPPEN TO HER!!!"

Based on a real life nightmare I had. It didn't end pretty for me... It's short I know, but I'm not going to go into too much detail about it
Chapter 5: broken
"Shadow, Shadow! SHADOW!!!" Arynnae screamed, pushing against Shadow in a vain attempt at awakening him. Not too long ago, she had awakened to see if her socks had dried off. Seeing that they did, she placed them over her hooves and legs before making her way back into the bathroom, grabbing her collar and looking herself over in the mirror, thinking about so many things as she stared into the mirror at herself, such as why Shadow Rift stayed with her as long as he did. She knew that she was good looking enough to stay with him, let alone date him, but in most articles she read about him he normally dated a mare a day and then never see them again. What made her different?
Grabbing her arm, she smiled as the idea ran through her mind of what could have made him stay, blushing as she went deeper into the thought. Nothing would have made her happier than for Shadow to tell her that he felt the same way about her. That she was all he could think about, that no matter what he did, she was the only thing that he could think of.
That he loved her...
She sighed. The idea was very far fetched and highly unbelievable to occur, especially considering how he had only met her just yesterday, but she wanted to hear it more then anything in her life. She wanted to tell him that she loved him, that she needed him in her life more than anything else in the world. But how do you tell somepony that you love them and need them?
"Arynnae...!"
"Shadow?" She said, making her way out of the bathroom and running back into him, attempting to awaken him as tears ran down his eyes and his talking became blubbering speeches. "Shadow! SHADOW WAKE UP!!!!" She screamed.
"Arynnae!!" He scream, waking up to see the blonde mare in his arms, a pained expression are her face as she looked up at him. "Shadow? What happened? Are you-" silencing her with his lips, Shadow pulled her into a passionate kiss, wrapping his wings and arms around her tightly. Arynnae, though slightly confused, affectionately returned his kiss, placing her arms over his shoulders as their tongues danced in their mouths. Pulling away from her, Shadow Rift looked Arynnae in her eyes, his own being bloodshot from his tears with some still visible in his eyes, waiting to fall. "I'm sorry..." He said with a somber tone, still shaken from his experience, "Did I wake you up?"
"Shadow..." She said, her eyes now collecting tears. To most ponies, Shadow Rift was a cocky, energetic daredevil who's fears were none existent. No pony had ever seen him the way Arynnae has seen him now.
And it was something Shadow Rift hated her seeing...
"What happened...?" Arynnae asked, raising her hoof up to his eye and rubbing away the tears in it before moving to the next, stopping as Shadow grabbed her by her wrist and took her hoof away from his face. "I hated you seeing me like that..." He said, his tone still somber as he held her hoof in his own. "Please Shadow... What happened?"
He sighed, "It was just a bad dream... A very bad dream... Nothing more. It's over..."
"Shadow... You were crying... What was it?"
Shadow closed his eyes tightly as he heard Arynnae tell him that. "Forget it..."
"Shadow..."
"I said FORGET IT!!!" Shadow screamed, an angered look in his eyes as he did, making Arynnae shrink into him with fear, her tears nearly reaching breaking point. "Oh Celestia, no Arynnae I'm sorry please I didn't... I..." Shadow said, raising his hooves over his head, hiding his faces with his arms as the tears came back.
"He's right... I don't deserve you. I'm an animal..."
"Shadow... It's... It's alright I forgive-"
"Stop!" He said, pointing a hoof towards her as he shouted once again, his voice cracking as tears fell down from his eyes. "Sh-Shadow..." Arynnae said, her own voice cracking as she raised her hooves up to her mouth, tears now flowing freely down her face. "Leave... Just leave... You can't stay here..." He said, his eyes now buried into arm and releasing tears into it. "Shadow please! Just tell me what's wrong" Arynnae said through her tears.
"Get out..." He said, raising a hoof towards his apartments door. "No..." She said, shaking her head as she looked back at Shadow Rift, "I'm not leaving!"
"Get out..." He said blankly
"Please Shadow..." She said once again through her tears, lying back down on Shadow's chest, gripping him tightly as she shut her eyes, "I love you..."
Looking down at her with blood shot eyes, Shadow Rift blankly stared at her. "Get... Out... Now..." He said through clenched teeth.
She had no idea what to do, and when Arynnae heard his words, she couldn't help but feel hurt as she heard the venom leaking from his voice. Slowly rising from Shadow, she made her slowly to his door, the feeling of heart break, disappointment, and betrayal drowning over her as she made it to the door, looking back at Shadow Rift with bloodshot eyes.
"I love you..." She said breathlessly as she walked out of his apartment and into the night.
Author's Note
A story about heartbreak is hard to read. A story based on a real life heartbreak is even harder to read. When your the one who caused it, it's even more difficult to write. I almost didn't want to release this. Sorry if it's bad, short, or dark...
Two months had passed since the events Shadow had with Arynnae. Two whole months since he gave up the best thing in his entire life. And not a single day went by where he forgot about her.
He could have said anything. He could have told her exactly what was wrong, why he cried.
Why he told her to leave.
But instead, he chose to throw her away. Maybe it was for the best, his mind kept telling him, but his heart told him he didn't just screw up. He fucked up. He fucked up because he let her go, he fucked up because she cared a lot more than just his simple looks or fame. And he fucked up because he took her heart in his hooves and tore it to shreds.
She told him she loved him and it didn't make a damn difference. And he was definitely began paying the price as soon as his day began.
"Order number 15 for Shadow Rift!" Said a stallion behind the counter, placing a coffee in front of him, "Have a great day Mister Rift!" He said with a smile.
"Thanks..." He said with a fake smile, taking his coffee off the counter and rolling his eyes as he exited the coffee shop and back out into the cold air of a rainy day in Ponyville. Another day in Ponyville, he thought to himself as he opened his umbrella, a large lightning bolt hitting it directly and zapping every part of his body. "Oh... Sorry Mister Rift!" A grey Pegasus with a blonde mane said, flying down to him and picking him up in her hooves. "Believe me when I say I've endured a lot worse than a little lightning." He said, slightly irritated at the mare's unbalanced aim as she helped him back to his hooves. "I know. And I'm very sorry about your shows... You used to be a great daredevil. I hope to see you performing again." The mare said, giving him a large smile as her cheeks went red.
"Yeah, me too." He said after letting out a sigh and continued trotting along. Some time had passed since his last show a month or so ago when he lost any will to perform. He stated clearly that he was going to take a break, but after the second week had passed on without a show, Ponies thought he'd never perform again. To be honest to himself, he actually missed doing it all. Sure it was getting boring doing the same thing every other week, but it brought in money and gave him the chance to earn money by doing what he loved.
And meet somepony he would eventually love and then throw out...
Without any money being made, Shadow Rift's stash of bits slowly began to dwindle. He was taking into account all of the things he had to pay in his mind, and after a quick little estimation, he learned he had about two more months worth of money to pay rent and food. And to think he took advantage of money at one point in his life. It's true what they say, money goes by fast.
Eventually making it to his destination, Shadow Rift knocked on the door three times, awaiting for somepony to answer. "Hello, who is-" said a earth stallion a little taller than Shadow by a few inches in a deep British accent. "Hello there, I'm Sha-"
"I know exactly who you are..." The stallion said, punching Shadow under his head and onto the ground, causing him to grunt as he collided. "You have one hell of a nerve showing yourself here." He said, standing over Shadow and looking him down. "You have no idea how many times I've-" he was cut off as the stallion picked Shadow up into the air with both his hooves.
"You dare come here after what you did!?" He said, striking Shadow once on his left cheek, filling his mouth with the taste of blood.
"No! I'm here t-t-to apologize!" He said, gasping for air and gripping the Stallions large arms. "Liar!" He screamed at Shadow, sending more Boulder like strikes into his cheeks and causing the taste of blood to become real blood dripping from his maw. The stallion, content with the brutality he caused Shadow's face, threw him into the wall of the house, shattering a couple of ribs in Shadow's body as he impacted it. "That.... It....?" He said weakly as he attempted to rise to his hooves.
"Osiris stop!!" Said a familiar voice, making him stop dead in his tracks. "Isn't he the one who-"
"Yes he is! What in the name of Celestia have you done to him?!" Said Arynnae as she attempted to help Shadow to his hooves. "Nothing I didn't deserve" Shadow said, spitting his blood out onto the floor with an attempted smile as his vision became more dark. "Hey.... Who turned out.... The......"
"Shadow!"

As Arynnae applied the last of the bandages, her emotions for Shadow had suddenly become disoriented. True she was happy that he had returned and concerned that he was brutally beaten by Osiris, but on the other hoof, he did crush her heart and scream at her. She wanted him to be here, but not in the state he is now.
"Shadow..." She said, placing a hoof on his chest as he laid on her loveseat, gently beginning to make her way into the spot under him. She had missed the feeling of laying under Rift over the two months that had passed, part of her began wishing he would take her hoof up in his own and begin to kiss it like before before making his way to her lips with his own.
"I've missed you..." She said weakly as she nuzzle herself under his chin, tears beginning to form in her eyes. "Please... I want you.... I need you..." She said, kissing him along his jaw line. "I still love you..."
Suddenly, Shadow Rift began to stir, making Arynnae jump off of his chest and watch him attempt to get up on his own. As he opened his eyes, Shadow held his shoulder, now fully bandaged, and looked around the room before him, stopping at Arynnae and weakly smiling. "Is this your room?" He asked, slightly stronger than his smile.
"Yes it is..." She replied as Shadow continued looking around the room. Various posters laid strewn across every part of her room, some of them posters based on books, some on plays and a few posters on Shadow Rift's flight shows, making his smile return. "What did you come here for?" Arynnae asked curiously, Shadow's smile falling slightly as he looked back at her, "I came here to explain why I flipped out... And that I'm sorry for what happened." He said, getting to his hooves and trotting over to Arynnae. "You need to leave Shadow Rift..." She said, placing a hoof on his chest to impede him from getting any closer.
"What?"
"I said you need to leave Shadow Rift."
"But I-"
"Now..." It hurt Arynnae to do it, and she desperately wanted to jump into his arms. But she knew she wanted to play hard. Especially after what he did. I forgive you, she thought to herself.
Looking at her slightly confused, but mostly hurt, Shadow Rift's head hung low as he made his way to her door, exiting her bedroom and making his way to her houses door, opening it as he took flight into the rainy night sky. She smiled to herself as she went to her drawers, opening it and finding her pink collar and matching pink socks.

As he entered his door, Shadow's feeling of sadness continued to set in. He really did go above and beyond anything he had ever done when it came to screwing up, and what's worse was the fact that the mare actually stated she loved him, and he almost felt the same way.
At least she'll be safe, he thought as he grabbed a cup of water, quickly downing it and refilling it before hearing a knock at his door. Setting his cup down on the table before making it to his door. "Who is-" he said as he opened the door, seeing a blond mare with blue eyes and a white coat, a pink collar around her neck and a pair of matching pink socks, her left arm gripping her right arm
"Uh... Hi... Arynnae... Come-" he was cut off as Arynnae's lips pressed against his as she pushed into him, causing him to back up into the couch and lay there, placing his hooves along her back and on her head as he pushed her into a deeper kiss. "Y-Y-You c-c-came?" Shadow said breathlessly, "w-why? I-I thought... You wanted... N-Nothing to do... With me."
Arynnae, now blushing a pink tint, giggled as she pressed herself closer to Shadow, feeling every rhythmic heart beat and smiling as she did. "Yes I did... I did it so that way my brother wouldn't suspect anything."
"And he didn't suspect anything when you left looking like this?" Shadow said, lifting her hoof up and examining her sock covered legs, making Arynnae giggle. "Please do it again. I missed you kissing my hoof..." She said shyly as her blush continued to darken.
"Well..." Shadow said, gripping her collar and pulling her up, his face mere inches from her own. "I would..." Slowly his hoof began to travel down her back, reaching her plot and firmly squeezing it, making Arynnae let out a moan as he did so. "But I think you may want a little more than just a couple of kisses..." He said, a devilish smile on his face as he half lidded his eyes.
"Sh- Shadow... J-Just do iiiiiiit...!" Arynnae's sentence dissolved into a sexually groan as she felt Shadow's thick colthood enter her, a feeling she missed for such a long time. "Sh-Shadow... It... It feels so... Good..." She said, looking at him with a wanting look, her walls tightening around Shadow's colthood. "Still as tight as ever, aren't you?" Shadow said slyly as he progressed, slowly pumping in and out of Arynnae, making her gasp with every pump and leaving her begging for more as she looked up at Shadow with the same wanting look he had missed. "M-M-More Shadow! MORE!!!!" She screamed, making Shadow pick up in pace as he continued his pumping in and out of her as she continued her moans and screams of delight.
"Yes yes yes yes yes!!!! YES!!!!!" She screamed, pressing her lips up against Shadow's, opening his mouth to allow her tongue entrance. As her tongue slid down his throat, he took the opportunity to grab the ring on her collar, pulling her into a deeper kiss as his own tongue ran down her throat as well. After a few more seconds of her kissing and moaning in his mouth, Shadow eventually realized that she had begun grinding against him, taking up as much of him as possible as her mare juices began dripping down along his length, making it easier for him to slide in and out of her.
Another moan escaped her mouth as Shadow gave yet another firm squeeze, her heart pounding against his chest faster and faster. Letting out one last large moan, Arynnae let her fluids rush forth from her marehood, causing Shadow's groin and couch to become drenched in her fluids. As normal, she closed her eyes and lulled her head down Shadow's lips. As she did so, Shadow pulled out of marehood, an audible pop being heard as he moved under her stomach and finished all over her, groaning as his seed was released from its prison that was his body.
The two conducted their tradition of taking a few minutes to catch each other's breaths, Arynnae's hind leg socks now covered in her juices. "Arynnae..." Shadow said, trying to grab her attention and open her eyes.
"Y...yes Shadow..." She said, clearly weak and barely beginning to stir. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry I freaked out on you like that..."
"Why did you?"
Shadow sighed, "Look... I have my reasons, but I just can't tell you right now. Just know that I've felt horrible since then"
Arynnae as well let out a sigh as she tightened a hoof on his chest. "You have felt terrible enough to not have a performance for a month or so..."
"You knew?"
"Everypony knew Shadow. Your not a very small celebrity after all..."
He smiled as he looked down at her, chuckling slightly. "Yeah your right..."
The silence went on as a question rolled into Shadow's mind. "Did you mean it?"
"What?"
"I've been thinking about it a lot recently. It's probably the thing that stuck with me as time went on. You told me the night I... You know... Kicked you out... That you loved me. I wanted to know if you meant it..."
Shadow's question seemed to completely draw the silence from Arynnae as she laid on Shadow's chest, staring away from him and biting her hoof, contemplating whether or not to tell him the truth. She wanted to tell him that she did love him, that he was all that ran through her mind, and that he was the one thing she needed. But if she did, she risked a relationship with him, and what happened if he didn't feel the same way?!
Taking in a deep breath of air, Arynnae looked back up at Shadow, a dreamy smile on her face with a pair of half lidded eyes.
"Shadow Rift..." She began, blushing as she continued on, "I know we only began a type of relationship a day or so before the, eh, 'event', but you meant more to me than you could possibly imagine." She said, tears now welling in her eyes as she continued, "You meant more to me than life itself. Yes Shadow Rift, I did mean it when I said I love you... I still love you with all my heart. It may be fast for us, but I don't care."
Her tears now began streaming down her face as she continued, still smiling despite the odds. "I love you Shadow Rift..." Grabbing her in his hooves, Shadow buried himself in Arynnae's golden mane, smelling the vanilla that came off of it as her tears began going down his shoulder. "Arynnae..." He said, looking back into her ready eyes, thinking to himself how he could possibly respond to what she just told him, "I don't know how to respond to that, other than..." He said, lowering himself and placing a tender kiss on her lips, "I love you too."
Shadow Rift's sight was blurred by Arynnae's white face making contact with his, tears rushing down her face as she continued to kiss him all over his face. "Thank you!!" She would say after every kiss, right around the eighth kiss he simply placed his hooves on her cheeks, pulling her into a deep and passionate kiss as the rain went on.

Flying into the bedroom with her in his arms, Shadow Rift and Arynnae laughed as they impacted the bed with a light force. "Gentle now Shadow!" She said playfully, "You don't want to get too injured after what Osiris had done."
"Eh, Screw it! It's going to take a lot more than a couple of hits to get me down..." He said, laying a kiss on her lips and taking her hoof in his own.
"So you missed me doing this huh?" He said, laying a kiss on her hoof and making her giggle as she nodded. "Alright, let me go take care of my mane real quick and then I will get to it."
"Come now Shadow... Your mane looks fine with all its reds and blacks..." She said as she gripped his hoof as he took flight from the bed. "Sorry... I swear I'll be fast!" He said, flying quickly into the bathroom and grabbing a comb, looking himself in the mirror as he brushed his mane out. Eventually managing to bring it to his former glory, he took one last look at himself in the mirror, smiling slyly at himself before the image in the mirror turned to a black mist with two green and red eyes smiling back at him.
"Wrong decision Mister Rift... She will meet her end soon enough!" Said the mist. Still smiling slyly at the mist, he spit at the image, making it look at him with shock before quickly turning back to hatred. "Try me you son of a bitch..." He said, smiling at the form intimidatingly, "I'll be ready..."
As Shadow Rift opened his eyes the next morning, he could still see the sleeping form of the beautiful blond mare, her chest rising and falling and her hooves folded up against it, her pink socks covering each of her soft, pristine hooves. Brushing her mane out of her eye, Shadow Rift stared down at her, placing a tender kiss on her forehead as pulling her closer into his body with a smile.
"I love you..." He whispered, placing another kiss on her forehead as he continued, "I swear I'll keep you safe, and I won't let anything happen to you." He whispered, taking her hoof up in his own and removing her sock, revealing her pearl white hoof as he placed it on his lips and began to kiss it, a smile growing on Arynnae's sleeping lips as he did so. She must be having a great dream... Shadow thought to himself as he continued to kiss her hoof as passionately as possible.

"Oh... My... Celestia..." Arynnae said through teary eyes as she watched the young colt, running with a slightly older stallion and attempting to take flight along side the stallion. "Yes Miss Arynnae, he is quite the handsome little stallion..." Said the pink princess next to her, smiling as she watched as well. "He's... He's so handsome..."
"And he looks so much like his father... The eyes, his coat, his mane... But deep down, his is very much like his mother..." Said the regal mare as she placed a hoof on Arynnae's shoulder, smiling as she watched Arynnae smile through her tears of joy. "I... I can't believe it... I can't believe that he..."
"He is, Miss Arynnae. But it all depends on you and Mister Rift. Only you both hold the power to have the life you so desire, Miss Arynnae..." She said, smiling as she watched the stallion taking flight with his son on his back. "Thank you Princess Cadence... Thank you so much." Arynnae said, covering her mouth as she spoke and continued to watch Shadow fly with his son in his arms, smiling wider than she had ever seen him smiling before.

Eventually, Arynnae's eyes came to life as she looked at Shadow, smiling as caught sight of Shadow kissing her hoof. "Good morning..." She said weakly after letting out a small yawn, making Shadow take her hoof away from his mouth slowly and look down, smiling as she saw her. "Morning Arynnae... How'd you sleep?"
"Incredibly..." She said as she nuzzled her way under him, feeling his heart pump beneath her. "Good..." He said, dragging his hoof down her head and over her back, "How are you?"
"A tad bit sore..." She said, rubbing her hip with her left hoof as she stared down at her plot, "You were a little rough on the sex last night..."
"Sorry..." Shadow said as he rubbed the back of his head with his hoof before placing it around Arynnae's exposed white foreleg. "I had a few weeks worth of stress I needed to unload..."
Giggling, Arynnae half lidded her eyes and came up towards Shadow, a sexual smile on face as she kissed him on his lips. "I never said it was a bad soreness, just a noticeable one..."
"You bad little mare..." Shadow said as he gave his signature devilish smile, pulling her into a deep embrace and causing the mare to giggle and nuzzle his chest.
"So Shadow... What do you-" Arynnae was cut off as the sound of a knocking door echoed through the apartment, making Arynnae grip tightly onto Shadow Rift and making him chuckle.
"It's okay... It's probably just the mail." Shadow said, attempting to comfort the mare pressing up against him. "Would it make you feel better if I left you here?" She shook her head as she held tight onto Shadow's chest. "How about if you came with me?" It took her a while, but eventually she nodded her head, making Shadow roll his eyes as he placed a hoof under her rump and another around her back.
Levitating off the bed with the mare in his arms, Shadow slowly began to fly towards the door, Arynnae still gripping tightly onto him as he flew. Thankfully, she wasn't very heavy as far as mares went, and it was yet another aspect he loved about Arynnae.
Making it to the door with Arynnae in his arms, he opened the door to see the grey pegasus with a blonde mane, smiling with closed eyes. "Delivery for Mister-" She was stopped as she opened her eyes and noticed Arynnae clinging onto Shadow, making both mares blush slightly. "Uh... Well thank you." Shadow said, taking the mail in her hooves and closing the door with his wing before laying himself and Arynnae on the couch.
"There, see, nothing. Who could've possible come here anyways?" Shadow said, Arynnae laying on her side on top of Shadow before readjusting herself onto her back. "Your right Shadow. Please forgive me, I just thought it may have been Osiris."
"You mean that one asshole who beat the hell outta me?"
"Shadow..." She began as she moved to her chest and looked directly into Shadow's eyes, "That 'asshole' just so happened to be my brother..."
"Huh... That's weird..."
"My brother is the same Stallion who beat you to a pulp?"
"No not that... This letter..." He said, raising it to show Arynnae. As she turned to look at it, she noticed an envelope colored gold with Shadow Rift's name imprinted on it. The return address being from Canterlot. Tearing it open, he saw two golden tickets fly out of it and read the letter.
"Dear Mister Shadow Rift..." He began as Arynnae inspected the tickets, "It is with great honor that we as the Canterlot Royal Party Organizers that we present you tickets to Canterlot's very own Grand Galloping Gala as our guest of honor! The event is scheduled for the week following the one that this letter is expected to reach you. We look forward to having you and whomever you bring with you."
"My Celestia Shadow! You were invited to the Grand Galloping Gala as a guest of honor?!"
Shadow, groaning as he finished reading the letter, crumpled up the letter in his hooves and threw it into a nearby trash bin. "It's nothing really great. Just a whole bunch of up tight ponies trying to get with you for no other reason than for their social image. Besides, I really don't have any fun there whatsoever." He said, taking Arynnae's bare hoof in his own and giving it a firm squeeze. "But Shadow, it's a once in a life time opportunity for you. And besides..." She said, playfully pulling back her hoof and half kidding her eyes, "I've never been to it before."
"Ahhhhh I get it..." He said, smiling as he waved his hoof in acknowledgement, "This has nothing to do with me. You just want me to go so I can take you!" He said, a playful smile still plastered on his face as he placed his other hoof around her back. "W-what! No! I would never-" Arynnae was stopped as Shadow Rift let out a laugh as he nuzzled her head, leaving a small kiss on her head. "Heh heh heh, calm down Arynnae, I get it. I guess I could stick it out just one night for you if you really wanted..." He said, smiling down at her as he placed a small kiss on her lips.
"Thank you Shadow... It's truly an honor to go to the Grand Galloping Gala. Especially with you, my super special some pony." She said, placing a kiss of her own on Shadow's lips and sighing as she closed her eyes. "Only problem is I'm still missing a suit. I guess I can just pick one up later on." He said, taking Arynnae's pearl hoof and gently placing tender kisses on it, making the mare giggle as he did so. "I love you Shadow..." She said dreamily as she grabbed Shadow's chest with her other hoof, still covered by her pink sock. "I love you too Arynnae..."
The two laid on the couch for some time, enjoying each other's company as time progressed. Shadow knew he loved her, and nothing made him happier than to simply lay here with her in his arms and her hoof on his lips. But looking down her body, Shadow was quickly reminded of their need of a bath as he spotted his dry seed still on her coat.
Oh well, maybe next time.
"Arynnae..." He said, gently nudging her to get her to wake up. "Yes..." She said groggily as she looked up at Shadow with those beautiful blue eyes of hers. "We're gonna need a bath..." He said, pointing at his seed on her stomach, to which she groggily looked down before looking up at him again. "Five more minutes Shadow... I'm exhausted..."
How can you be tired, you barely woke up! Shadow thought to himself as he rolled his eyes and wrapped both of his arms around Arynnae before burying his face in her mane and slowly going to sleep.

A quick bath along with another cleaning of Arynnae's socks left both Shadow Rift and Arynnae cleaned and groomed. As they entered Shadow's kitchen, Arynnae sat at the table while Shadow Rift pulled out a pan, eggs, cheese, and various veggies, placing them in front of Arynnae while placing the pan on the stovetop.
"Hope you like omelette's" Shadow said, cracking open two eggs and quickly beginning to scramble them.
"So Arynnae..." He said, carefully watching over the eggs as he began, "What do you do exactly in terms of a job?"
Grabbing her arm with her left hoof, she blushed as she thought of her job and Shadow's reaction to it. "I don't generally have one to be quite honest. Although I do have a certain knack for helping ponies fix relationships. It is my cutiemark after all." She said as she looked down at her cutiemark, a sewn pink heart.
"Really? You don't work?" Shadow said, beginning to place green peppers, olives, and cheese on the egg before flipping one side over the other. "No I don't... My family is one of the upper class as you could have seen by our home. My father makes money from various golf sites he set up years ago. We've made so many bits off of it my mother swears we may never need to work a day in our lives." She said, brush her mane back as she blushed, remembering her dream about Shadow, "Perhaps the same can be said for any children my brother or I may have..."
Shadow, placing omelette on the table in front of Arynnae along with a fork and knife, went to work on the second omelette for himself. "Well, I would say something about myself, but I'm guessing you know quite a bit about me..."
"I'd like to hear anyways, I enjoy the sound of your voice..." Arynnae said, blushing as she shyly smiled away from Shadow Rift. Rolling his eyes and smiling, Shadow Rift placed his own omelette on his plate, making his way next to her at his table. "I'll just go with the basics. I'm a daredevil thrill junkie smart ass with a very colorful personality.." Shadow said said, his devilish smile plastered on his face as he took his seat next to Arynnae, making her giggle and blush slightly. "Anyways..." He said, picking up his utensils and staring down at his breakfast, "I started off as a small time performer before a pair of independent contractors came to me and asked me to perform at some type of promotional party for their company. After others saw me the requests just went up and up. Two years later, I'm more famous then I was." He said, taking a bite out of his omelette, chewing it in his mouth as he swallowed, Arynnae soon following his action before letting out an exaggerated moan. "Celestia, Shadow! I never knew you were such a great cook."
"Heh, it's not that great..." Shadow said, toying around with his omelette before taking another bit out of it. "Yes it is. Ten out of ten Mister Rift." Arynnae said, taking another bite of the the eggs with a smile. "Glad to know that my cooking is outstanding for you Arynnae."
"Ann..."
"What?"
"You have your own nicknames and I have mine as well. I prefer Ann." She said, taking another bite of her omelette and blushing slightly as she stared at Shadow. "Alright 'Ann'. What do you enjoy doing? Like, as a pass time or something?" Shadow said, downing the last of his omelette before floating over to his sink and quickly rinsing it out. "I never gave it much thought before. Although I hardly consider what I do a hobby..."
"Come on then Ann, tell me what it is." Shadow said, taking his seat once again and taking up Arynnae's plate, now bare of the omelette Shadow had made. "Very well... I occasionally try my hooves at golf. My father taught both my brother and I as we were growing up, and on occasion, I practice with my father." Arynnae said, slightly blush and gripping her arm, making Shadow smile as he looked back at the adorable mare.
"I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping you'd say that you spent time collect my memorabilia..." Arynnae's blush grew larger and her expression changed from shyness to embarrassment as she looked up at Shadow, making him fall to the ground laughing like a mad stallion. "I'm... I'm... Just.... Just joking..." Rift said, gasping for air as he gripped his stomach with his hoof, Arynnae still embarrassed as she looked at him. "Actually..." She said, still embarrassed at Shadow's attempted joke, "I may have one or two posters... But that's it for the most part... And I don't like it that you are poking fun at my expense." She said, folding her hooves over her chest and closing her eyes, moving her head up and out of his direction. Quickly flying over to her, Shadow grabbed Arynnae up in his arms and flew towards his couch, slamming onto the cushions with a small thud and surprising Arynnae.
"Lighten up Ann. I'm only playing with you." He said, nuzzling Arynnae and making a smile grow on her face as she playfully pushed Shadow with her bare hoof. "What about your parents Shadow? What are they like?" The questions made Shadow's smile fall slightly, "I don't usually talk to or about my parents. I'd rather not now..."
"Oh..." Arynnae said, her own smile falling slightly before Shadow spoke up again. "Hey don't worry about it. Your dad sounds pretty cool though. Does he know about... Us?" Shadow said, taking Arynnae peril white hoof in his own and bringing it up to his lips, laying a tender kiss on it. "My father hasn't been home for three months now on a business trip in Manehatten. Recently he told Osiris that he and mother will be returning some time today." Arynnae said, letting out a slight giggle as Shadow kissed her hoof.
"And I take it you want me to meet them?"
"You don't have to. Although it would make me happy to know that my mother and father are aware of you."
"Well then..." Shadow said, pressing his hoof against her and pushing her deep into his body, "Your wish is my command."
"Really? You'd be willing to meet my parents?"
"Eh, why not? Your dad sounds like a trip and I'm guessing your mom will be nice enough. What's the worst that could happen?"
Giggling, Arynnae placed a kiss under Shadow's maw, making him smile as he returned the kiss. "I warn you Mister Rift, my parents can be a bit... Judging when it comes to stallions."
"What's wrong with me?"
"..."
"Yeah your right... I swear I will be on my best behavior! Pegasus honor!" He said, saluting the air and making another giggle erupt from Arynnae as she laid on him.

Chapter 9: meeting her folks
Knocking on the door, Shadow Rift once again looked over the house that the mare he loved had lived in and grown up in. It's was larger now that he had really looked it over, and defiantly showed signs of wealth, with its pearly white paint and grand size. It rested just a little outside of Ponyville, but wasn't exactly too far from his apartment for a pony to get tired from trotting. "I hope my parents will accept you. They really are quite strict when it comes to ponies and stallions either my brother or I bring home..." Arynnae said, the pink socks and collar once adorning her body now gone, left back at Shadow's apartment after they had awakened nearly two hours ago. "Hey I'm not that bad, am I? Your parents'll love me!"
"I certainly hope so..." She said as the door opened, a large grey earth stallion with a black mane waiting behind it and staring down at both Shadow and Arynnae. "I take it you were out with Mister Rift, dear sister?" He said cool and calm as he spoke with a British accent, "Yes, I did. Are Mother and Father here yet?"
"Actually, you're early. Father sent a letter this morning stating that the two of them will be home two hours from now." Osiris said with little expression. "Perfect! I needed to freshen up quickly before our parents return!" She said, quickly trotting into the house and straight into Celestia knows where, leaving Osiris in the door frame as he attempted to stare down Shadow, eyes full of neglect.
"I didn't expect her to bring YOU here..." Osiris said, still staring down Shadow but only getting a sly smile from him in return, "Great to see you too sunshine! If it makes you feel any better, I can ALMOST feel yesterday's blow out on me!" Shadow said, moving past Osiris and making his way into Arynnae's room.

"Down to the left at the end of the hall." Osiris said, quickly catching onto the fact that Shadow Rift had no idea where Arynnae was, giving him a smug little smile of his own. "touché..." Shadow said before flying down the hall as Osiris closed the door. Reaching Arynnae's room, Shadow Rift entered into her room where she sat on her bed, her blonde mane now in a slight ponytail as she looked down at her hooves.
"What's up?" Shadow said, flying over towards Arynnae and placing a hoof over her shoulder and staring down at her hooves as well, a small heart shaped locket in her hooves. Sighing, Arynnae looked over her shoulder at Shadow before looking back at the locket, opening it and revealing a picture of a Stallion and Mare on one side, and a picture of her brother Osiris, both much younger than currently. "Shadow... I'm just very worried that my parents won't accept you as my Stallionfriend, especially considering how strict they are..."
"Look, it'll all work out, I promise..." He said, placing a kiss on her cheek before continuing, "After all, I'm fairly certain they'll allow their daughter to date a celebrity! It's good for publicity!" He said, nudging Arynnae on her arm and making her giggle. "Are you always this cynical?" She said, nuzzling his nose, "Sometimes. It's what you get in every specially marked package of sugar hay." He said, a knocking sound echoing into the room, Arynnae looking back towards the door.
"Well, it appears that they are home..."
"What're we waiting for?"
Getting up from her bed, Arynnae began to trot out of the door, Shadow flying right along behind her as she did so. "Greetings Father, how were your travels?" Shadow and Arynnae heard Osiris voice as the made their way into the living room, Arynnae clearly beginning to feel more and more nervous as her cheeks began to glow the same pink tint as always. "Nothing extremely out of the ordinary. Perhaps we may gain another plot of land for another course within the month." A stallions voice said, although strangely not containing the same accent as Osiris or Arynnae.
"Perfect to hear father..." Arynnae said, coming out of the corner with Shadow flying right behind her as Arynnae enveloped her father in a hug. "Hello Arynnae..." Her father said, placing a hoof on her back and patting it slightly. Looking ahead of her, Arynnae's father caught sight of Shadow, still flying in the air and offering a proud smile, making Arynnae's father, a grey unicorn with a black mane and golden eyes, furrow his brow.
"Arynnae... Who is this Stallion?"
"Oh! Yes, of course. Father, this is Shadow Rift, a show stallion who I met soon after you're departure..."
"I see..." He said as he trotted up to Shadow, eyeing him down head to hoof unimpressed. "Nice to meet you sir! Name's Shadow Rift, although I go by either Shadow or Rift!" He said, extending his hoof in front of the Stallion with a smile on his face. "The pleasure is mine, Mister Rift..." He said as he took Shadow's hoof in his own and shaking it slowly. "Um, father... I actually have some news about both Mister Rift and myself..."
"I'm going to suspect what you wish to tell me is your romantic involvement with one another..."
"What made you notice so quickly Mister... Uh..."
"Osiris Night..." He said, making Shadow chomp down on his tongue to suppress laughter. His name was weird, even weirder than Arynnae's, but the last thing Shadow needed was this guy thinking he was an ass. "Father..." Osiris said as he broke the silence, "Where is mother? We were expecting her to arrive with you."
"I'm here! Forgive me if I may not have entered with your father..." A mare nearly identical to Arynnae in both looks and voice said, the only exception being her eyes, as they were emerald green instead of blue and being slightly older looking. Taking notice of Shadow nearly immediately, her sight staying on Shadow as she moved towards her husband. "Osiris... Who is this Stallion?" She said in a voice very well above a whisper for every pony in the room to hear. "Mother... This is Shadow Rift, my coltfriend." Arynnae said, a smile on her face as she began to trot towards Shadow, Arynnae's mother's look turning from a look of slight distrust to a small smile. "Well Mister Rift, if I can trust you to take care of our daughter, I see no reason to not pursue a relationship with her." She said as she slowly made her way to Shadow, extending a hoof in front of him. "I assure you I can trust her... Misses...?"
"Diamond Dusk. It's a pleasure to meet you." She said as Shadow took her hoof and placed a kiss on it, making her smile grow slightly, "The pleasure's mine." Shadow said as he backed away from her and back towards Arynnae, placing an arm over her shoulder while smiling at the family in front of him.

"See...? I told you nothing bad would happen." Shadow said as they entered the apartment. "You were just lucky Mister Rift! My mother isn't normally as accepting as usual, and I can tell my father isn't very enthusiastic about you either." Arynnae said as she made her way to Shadow's couch. It wasn't too long ago that the two of them had left after Arynnae said that they needed to grab clothing for the Gala, to which her mother had quickly become enthusiastic about. "I figured your dad wasn't too happy to see me as your mom was. But I'm fairly certain I'll get him to change his mind..." Shadow said, smiling in front of Arynnae proudly and electing a giggle from her.
"What about your parents?" Arynnae said, a smile adorning her face along with a blush. As she asked her question, however, Shadow's proud demeanor changed as his smile fell. "What...?" He asked in a hushed tone, making Arynnae feel less than confident in asking him the question about his parents. "I simply asked if we should... You know... Meet your parents... After all, I'm sure they would enjoy meeting me."
"I, uh, I don't exactly... Talk to my parents anymore...." Shadow said, rubbing the back of his head as he looked down at the ground slightly. "What do you mean...?"
"Look I just don't talk to my folks anymore.... Let's just leave it at that." Shadow said, making his way towards the bedroom. "Anyways..." He said, stretching out his wings and shaking his head, "...I'm beat. Come to bed whenever." Shadow said, disappearing into the bedroom and slamming the door shut, leaving Arynnae slightly confused in the living room of his apartment.
Why didn't he want me to meet his parents? Let alone talk about them?

Chapter 10: Parents and Make Up Sex
With her trademark socks and collar placed back on her, Arynnae slowly began to make her way towards the bedroom, still confused about Shadow's odd behavior when mentioning his parents. It wasn't the first time she heard about somepony she knew having issues with their parents, but she had never met a pony who's mere mention of parents made them infuriated.
Opening the door, Arynnae was met with the sight of Shadow facing towards the wall, his chest rising and falling with every breath he took in his slumber. Quietly making her way into the bed, Arynnae laid in their bed, continuing to watch Shadow's body rise and fall in his slumber, smiling slightly as he did so. She always thought he looked cute sleeping, almost like a big puppy, even if he played himself up as a lion...
"Good to see you made it here..." Shadow said almost completely monotone. "You weren't asleep?" Arynnae asked slightly concerned, "Not really... I was mostly just waiting for you." Shadow said, turning over to look at Arynnae, her light blue eyes glowing as the blue light of Luna's moon bounced around her body. "Shadow..." She said, placing her right leg over his shoulder, staring deep into his ruby red eyes with love and care.
"What's wrong...? Why were you-" Before Arynnae could finish her sentence, she was silenced by Shadow's lips making contact with her own as he took her in his arms. At first, she was surprised by Shadow's sudden kiss, but quickly closed her eyes and returned his kiss. Just as quickly as it began, however, it ended when Shadow separated his lips from her own, making her open her eyes to look up at him. "Look... Nothing's wrong Ann, I swear." He said, looking down at her and taking her pink sock covered hoof in his own. "Then why were you so somber when I mentioned your parents? Did something happen between you and your parents?"
"Look... I just don't wanna talk about it."
"Why? You met my parents and nothing wrong happened there."
...
"Really?" Shadow said, his expression being one of unamused, "Your dad doesn't seem too happy with me and your brother is still an ass."
"...my mother didn't seem to mind you... And I would very much like to meet your parents. To know the Stallion and Pony who raised such an amazing Stallion such as you." When Arynnae said amazing, Shadow's unamused look turned to a look of slight sadness, but quickly back to unamused. Arynnae, on the other hoof, wasn't holding back when asking Shadow. How was he going to manage introducing her to his parents.
Especially with all things considered.....
"Look... I can't promise you that we'll meet my parents any time soon. But, if you reeeeeeeeally wanna meet them, I guess we could try...." Shadow said, making Arynnae squeak with delight and bury herself into his chest. Patting her back and placing a kiss on her head, Shadow soon began to think of ways to tell her that they couldn't meet his parents and, most of all, how long he could hold it off before he had to tell her the truth.
That night, Shadow had no dreams or trauma's. Instead, he simply dreamed about flying through an open sky with no worries or issues. No fans to either scare or delight him, no ancient kings of darkness there to break him, and no reminders of his tainted past. Just him and the wide open skies with the occasional cloud. Before long, however, he had come across the blonde mane beauty that was his Marefriend, simply lying on a cloud in the most seductive way possible, her collar and socks upon he body, awaiting Shadow's quick return.
Arynnae, on the other hoof, continued to have the same dream that had blessed her since she her meeting with Princess Cadance. The dream that she greatly wished would become reality of her child flying with his father in the great open skies in attempts to someday reach the same level of speed and altitude of his father, Her husband, her shadow....

Grogginess encasing his body like cement, Shadow Rift awoke the next day to see a white leg gripping his leg with a slight tightness and the mare who had spent the night next to him blushing with the heat of Tartarus. "Something wrong?" Shadow asked sarcastically after no more than three nanoseconds of thought. Looking up at him with her blush staining her face and her grip on his leg tightening ever so lightly, she began to slightly stammer at her predicament. "Y-Y-You s-s-see I.... Ummmm..... I...... I'm feeling...... Something I've n-n-never........"
Rolling his eyes, Shadow placed his hoof on her soft rump and gave it a firm squeeze. "You know..." He said, looking deep into her blue eyes and smiling slightly, "You're the last pony I'd expect to be caught up in a heat..."
"I'm n-n-n-not in a...." As Arynnae attempted to finish her sentence, Shadow quickly thrust his stallionhood within the drenching folds of her marehood, making her feeble attempts at a sentence dissolve into a moan of complete and udder pleasure. "Sh-Sh-Shadoooooooow.....!!!!" She screamed as he continued to thrust deep inside of her, each thrust feeling even better than the last as she let out moan after moan of pleasure and delight. Pulling her socks off her two front legs, Shadow Rift let out a moan of his own and pressed his lips against Arynnae's, grabbing her left hoof with his left hoof and continuing to squeeze her rear. Arynnae, placing her right hoof against his cheek, gladly returning his kiss as he felt his tongue make its way into her mouth and spark her tongue to life in a dance with his own, moaning every so often as she felt every thrust into her marehood.
"Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....!" She screamed as she attempted to speak and catch her breath after their shared kiss. Making sure she had acquired enough air, he quickly pressed his lips against her's, his tongue gliding against her own and continuing the dance. His thrust, however, were much harder to do than before, seeing as how she had begun leaking more juices onto him than any other time before, making it slippery for him to thrust inside her without leaving her insides. He smiled slightly as he gave more thought about this. Just another slight challenge... He thought to himself.
"Sh-Sh-Shadow..... C-C-Can't s-s-s-seeeee......... S-s-s-sooooooooo g-g-g-gooooooooooooooood!!!!!" Arynnae screamed, her eyes clamped down and her hoof gripping Shadow's chest like a clam, tears streaming down her face almost as much as her juices leaking down Shadow's leg. "I love you..." Shadow said, pulling her into one more kiss and causing the rush of a thousand rivers to come splashing down onto Shadow. Exiting out of Arynnae, Shadow placed himself underneath her stomach and released as well, his seed hitting her stomach and mixing into her peril white coat.
Gasping for breath, Shadow looked over at the clock next to him, now reading 8:30 in the morning. "H-Hey...... Arynnae? We g...gotta get-" Shadow said, looking down at the now sleeping form that was Arynnae, her small body rising and falling with every breath she took. Poor mare, Shadow thought to himself as he continued to watch Arynnae in her peaceful sleep, a smile on her face as she continued to breath in and out. Celestia's mother she smells ripe! Shadow thought to himself, taking notice of her rancid smell of fresh sex instead of her normal sweet smell of vanilla. Part of him said to dump her into a tub full of water and rinsing her out like a dog. But his soft spot said to just let the content little mare regain her energy.
Since when did I become a softy? Shadow thought to himself after deciding to let her sleep, to which Arynnae let out a small yawn as a pseudo response to Shadow Rift's mental question. Oh yeah... That's when, he thought again, bringing the mare closer against him and taking in the smell of her blonde mane, ripe with the scent of sweat, sex, and faint vanilla.
Maybe she's worth it....
Chapter 11 Part 1: Waking Up
The annoying sound of a ringing clock had awoken Shadow from his slumber before he had slammed his hoof onto the annoying object and proceeded to throw it towards the wall, a large clanging sound coming from the most likely broken clock. At first, he was merely thinking about going to sleep once more, but found he couldn't after noticing his mare was no longer in his arms, and a faint smell of cooking now began to enter his nostrils. Grabbing a black morning robe, one he BARELY used, Shadow began to make his way into the kitchen, where inside he found his Marefriend making a Pancake and fruit breakfast, her socks and collar free from her body to exposed her peril white fur.
"Oh! Good Morning Shadow. Did you sleep well?" Arynnae asked, surprised my Shadow slightly as she turned to work on a pancake. "Not the worst I've slept, that's for sure. What is all this?" He asked, pointing at the pancakes and chopped fruits drizzled in some type of glaze. "Well, it was barely eight thirty when I had awakened and noticed you were asleep. So I decided to take a shower and have my attire cleaned, but when I came back from the wash room, I noticed that you were still asleep and decided to make breakfast for us. Although, to be quite honest, I thought you were going to sleep for much longer than you did..." Arynnae said, blushing slightly and brushing back a strand of her mane behind her ear.
"Believe me, I was sorta planning on it before I realized that we needed to get up today..." Shadow said, brushing the remaining sleep out of his eyes and making his way towards a plate of food, giving the mare a kiss on her cheek and a warm yet slightly tired smile. "What exactly do you mean by 'we needed to get up today'?" Arynnae asked as she grabbed her own plate of food and taking a seat next to Shadow. "I sorta needed to pick up a suit today..."
"Wait, you mean that you've never owned a suit before?" Arynnae asked, slightly confused at his statement. "Nope. Never needed to." Shadow said as he took a bite out of a slice of Pancake that had become drenched in Maple Syrup. The statement was still odd to Arynnae, that Shadow had, apparently, no type of proper suit now or even in the past, mainly because she grew up with a mother who always insisted that she and her brother wear something formal to a formal occasion, and the fact that practically every pony she ever met owned at least one type of formal attire for formal occasions.
"What's wrong?" Shadow asked as he noticed Arynnae seemingly lost in thought. "I just find it odd that you have never owned any type of formal attire. Every pony I know has at least SOME form of clothing"
"Well, I don't. I'm not the type of Stallion to keep much around in terms of cloths." Shadow said, putting on a fake smile as thought to himself how he'd never owned something like a suit. "Why though?" Arynnae asked, the whole discussion now beginning to wear thin on her. "I just never have. I don't like wearing cloths like some type of dress up doll that you find in a toy store. It feels... Wrong to wear cloths, especially for me." Shadow said, the discussion now ending as Arynnae silently began to eat away at her food. "But... This is the Grand Galloping Gala we're talking about. So now I sorta need to wear cloths. My plan was to head out today and grab a nice suit and tie."
"Well. Good luck trying to find a suit that-"
"Actually. That's the thing. I have no idea what to get or what looks 'good' on me. I was hoping you'd help me out, and when you do help me find one, I was planning on getting you a dress." Shadow said, last part of his address to Arynnae being caught immediately by her ears. "You want me to help you find a suit? And in turn, you wish to purchase a dress for me?" Arynnae said, shocked at the offer. "Yeah. If there's anypony I trust to help me with suits and stuff like that it's you. And I think it's time I got you something nice. So do you think you could help me?"
"Yes! I mean, of course! I would absolutely love to help you!" Arynnae said ecstatically, beginning to list off the different places they could go to find a proper suit and dress, but stopped at her third store when Shadow Rift placed his hoof over her muzzle, impending her from continuing. "Look, I know you're excited about this but... I don't want to go to more than maybe two stores for a suit, alright?" He said, to which Arynnae nodded her head in agreement and making Shadow remove his hoof from her muzzle, revealing a smile. "What are you-" Shadow began, but was stopped when a pearl white hoof was placed over his own muzzle. Should've known... He though to himself.
"That's for silencing me rudely..." She said in a sly way, before moving her hoof to his cheek, staring at him with half lidded eyes and a smile. "And this is a promise for a nice day." She said as she pressed her lips against his softly and closing her eyes, making Shadow smile as he pressed his own against her's and close his eyes.

Sorry for the short chapter and the long time between this chapter and the last. I found myself finding this story harder and harder to write seeing as how my ideas are starting to run dry, and my other projects cutting into my time. Hopefully, this will be the last time this happens
Sorry for this but, I decided to cancel this story after losing interest in it. Well, kind of anyways. Hopefully, some of you who have seen the blogpost will know what's going on. But, if you don't, just look at my front page and you'll understand a little bit more.

I'm not quite sure if anyone has seen it yet but I recently posted a blog stated that the reboot of this story has officially come out. Hopefully, this one will be a little better than its predecessor.
