Rainbow Heart 3

The dark cave was wet and only lit by candles. The smell of pumpkin overwhelmed the senses. The cave was near the Crystal Empire. The cave entrances were nowhere in sight. It was here my plans would begin to come to fruition. To my left was a chained crystal pony but to my right was a villain. The moment was now for him to get what he deserved. His name was King Sombra. He was chained by barbed wire, specifically his front hooves and around his neck, blood coming from the penetrating barbs. In the middle of the room was the cherished crystal heart of the crystal ponies. It gave form to Sombra, which was why I “borrowed” it. I temporary had to steal the crystal heart to bring Sombra to flesh form, since his normal form was a shadow. It wasn’t long before my sleep spell wore off. My protection spell was cast to nullify Sombra’s powerful magic.

King Sombra woke first violently. He was shouting obscenities and trying to break free from his chains using magic and brute force. It was the ruckus that Sombra made that awakened the terrified crystal pony, my witness to these glorious events. The chains were just metal bound around the crystal pony’s neck and not hurtful. It was then Sombra’s gaze turned to the shinning crystal heart in the center of the room, his eyes enlarging with lust.

I made my presence known now by walking forward, my hooves clopping on the cave floor, and I said, “I know the past, the present, and the future. When it comes to you King Sombra, I know everything. You enslaved the crystal ponies binding their front hooves and heads in the same manner you are imprisoned at the moment. You enslaved the ponies for a feeling of possession. Your craving to possess slaves is why you are an evil pony. You need to learn how to become a good pony. It means that you have to suffer the consequences from your actions and that your punishment should reflect the wrongdoings you have done.”

It was then I approached him with Double Rainbow’s Knife floating with my magic. Sombra tried to squirm away, but it only caused him more pain. I used the blade to cut off his hooves just above his barbed wire shackles. He roared in pain, trying to attack me, but I kept my distance. I could see the rage build in his eyes. I looked into them before I began cutting his head off from below the neck binding starting on the back of the neck. It wasn’t long before the head was severed and fell to the ground with a thud. Blood pooled on the floor. King Sombra was dead. I turned to the horrified crystal pony.

I informed, “You’re my little pony. I have a job for you, my witness.”

A large sack levitated in the air and I floated the crystal heart and Sombra’s severed head into it. I dropped it before the crystal pony.

I added, “Take the head of King Sombra and the Crystal Heart back to the Crystal Empire. Give it to Princess Cadance.”

I pulled a key out of my mane using magic and gave it to the frightened crystal pony as I disappeared into a flash of rainbow light, transporting me to my next destination. I knew the pony would not let me down.
