Chapter 6 The Survivors

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

The five, technically six, ponies arrived at the town shortly later. They were going to go throughout the town as much as possible to search and save survivors. There were a few other ponies that found their courage and came along with us.

We arrived on the outskirts of the town. The zombies and ghosts were still there but more spaced out and not as many after the massacre at Ponytown. It was then I saw Double Rainbow’s spirit again. I knew what he wanted me to do. I waved a hoof to the ponies following me and we crept forward going from cover to cover.

We were gonna use a specific tactic, the earth ponies were going to do most of the searching, while the unicorns used their magic to create distractions as needed, and then the pegasi were going to airlift the survivors out. It was unknown how many ponies we would find. Double Rainbow’s spirit guided me through the twisted, dangerous, winding paths of the town.

Double Rainbow led me to a dumpster that had a pony in it. Peace Herb was his name and he had a sick stomach. A pegasus airlifted him to the Everfree Forest edge to wait for the others to return. Following the ghostly apparition, I was led to a portable restroom, where we found Secret Love. She was also airlifted to safety. Other earth ponies and unicorns were having similar luck, finding ponies and having the pegasi fly them to the town’s boundaries.

I followed my former lover’s soul to a wooden house, where his ethereal form passed through the front door. I tried to open the door but it was locked. Timber Fall took care of that problem. We went upstairs and found two ponies lying in bed. One was sleeping and obviously had been smoking and drinking, whose name was Pawter Pony, the other pony in the bed was dead, named Foxyball. It was also clear that the pony may have been crazed and lost his mind, however, we weren’t going to leave the deranged pony behind. Pawter had drank so much, he was knocked out cold. A pegasus airlifted the sleeping pony out of harms’ way.

We exited the back door and I followed the ghost, seeing only glimpses of him. He took us to the back door of a house, it was unlocked. We entered and walked around the first floor. I saw Double Rainbow’s ghost scratch a rug in the living room with his hoof. I walked over and when I tried to move it it wouldn’t budge. With force, I pulled it up to expose a secret staircase. The door to the staircase had a rug secured to the top of it to hide the door but also used to open it, clever.

We walked down the stairs. It was dark and we couldn’t see anything. I used my horn as a flashlight. The attack was quick and from the shadows. Two ponies attacked us. I was struck with a hoof in the chest and knocked back. A larger pony, named Big Hoof fought with Timber Fall. The smaller pony was the one who attacked me and his name was Little Hoof. The smaller pony then kicked me in my manliness. I fell over temporarily stunned. Big Timber, even with his injuries was able to take on the other giant pony and beat him. Little Hoof went to the aid of his brother, but met the same fate. The two brothers scurried out of the basement and fled. Timber Fall pursed them upstairs and out the back.

I was alone in the basement of the house. When I recuperated, I saw her. There was a pony on the floor across from me with legs bent in unnatural positions, obviously broken knees, and her muzzle taped shut with duck tape. She was alive, looking at me and crying with tears in her eyes. Her name was Platinum Will. I used my magic to pick her up and carry her upstairs. I could see the “Thank you,” in her eyes. I exited the house and gave her to a pegasus pony who carefully floated her to safety.

Things were going well. Only a few unicorns had to make distractions to save the searching earth ponies. I followed the ghost around a corner. After rounding it, I was struck from behind, everything going dark. I was knocked out cold.

Onyx was laying on the couch with her sweetie Black Widow. They were kissing and snuggling. Onyx moved into a 69 position. They were licking, kissing, and arousing each other. After a while Onyx pulled out a double sided dildo and repositioned herself. Onyx inserted one of the ends into Black Widow and the other into herself. Onyx began pounding Black Widow, making the dildo slam against herself and her mate. After a few moments, Onyx orgasmed. She then proceed to lick and suck all four of Black Widow’s hooves, while Black Widow pleasured herself into ecstasy.

They were interrupted by the other gang members.

“We have a problem.” Storm Watch said.

I was captured. I awoke being carried by zombies to the Town Hall. They took me to the front steps where the gang members exited from the front of the building.

Poison Heart walked forward, “You’re the pony leader who helped the others get out of town, aren’t’ you.”

I stated, “Yes, that was me.”

Poison Heart said, “So you’re the one who’s been causing us all this trouble. What is your name?”

I replied, “Rainbow Heart.”

“We are the Dark Doom Gang. We don’t take kindly to anypony standing in our way. Any last words, Rainbow Heart?” She asked.

“You won’t succeed.” After a brief pause, I stated, “The magic of friendship will never die.”

“Drown him!” Poison Heart ordered, her horn glowing green. “Then hang his body in public for everypony to witness in order to discourage any more heroism.”

The zombies responded by carrying me to the river across the street and I was taken underwater by the zombies who couldn’t die.

I held my breath, but it wouldn’t be long. I almost drowned. Night Wing dove into the water from the air, bubbles of air streaming along the outline of his body. Night Wing punched and kicked the zombies holding me. He grabbed me when I was free and launched out of the water. Night Wing had saved me. I was coughing and gasping for breath and was airlifted to the street. I fell on the ground, feeling like I wanted to vomit. Night Wing shook the water off of himself like a dog. There were more zombies and the gang stared at us. I wanted Night Wing to stay at the Machine Castle for his protection. Obviously he didn’t listen and lied to me.

“You said you’d stay at Rainbow Moon’s Castle.” I stated.

“I said I wouldn’t go with you, love. I never said I wouldn’t follow you. And it’s a good thing I did. You forget that I don’t want to lose you either.” Night Wing shot back.
