[Day 26.]
Three days. Three days of unmerciful hell, building, calculating, reconstructing, dismantling, all the fun stuff. In a room that was the size of an auditorium, bottles of water and other drinks covered the ground. Along with various wrappers for food. Some of the bottles containing piss from the two ponies that were inside the room. Desks were scattered along the outer rim of the room, leaving a large open area in the middle of the room. In the middle was a large archway shaped machine. Blue papers scattered around it. Tools lying on the floor. Under the papers was a white earth pony, sleeping. On a desk next to him was a Twilight Sparkle, her head rested on the desk and her mane messed up. She groaned as the sound of loud snoring was assaulting her ear drums. She perked her head up with bags under her eyes, looking over the desk to see Harry under the papers. Some flying because of his snoring. Rubbing her head, Twilight looked up at the machine that took them days to make. In its full glory, the machine looked marvelous. The thought of traveling between dimensions made her feel excited. Twilight made her way toward the machine, opening up a panel and seeing all sorts of wiring. Twilight didn't want to remember the hell her and Harry had to go through to find the wires in the first place. Not to mention buying the things in the first place. Those were the worst bits Twilight has ever spent.
Twilight used her magic to levitate a clipboard over to her. She spoke quietly as she read what was on the list.
"Electricity wiring? Check."
She crossed the item off.
"Modem Software? Check."
Crossed off.
"Finally, high powered conductor? Check."
Another cross off. Twilight dropped the board from her magic, ignoring it as it hit the floor. The sound of the board hitting the floor startled Harry from his sleep. He rose from the floor with wide eyes with bags under them. He looked toward the machine and let out a breathe through his mouth. Harry walked over to the machine as well and looked it over.
"Remind me...why did we build this?" he said looking at Twilight.
Twilight returned the look with a smile.
"To get you and any other monster that's here home."
"Oh yeah." Harry said with cheer.
The white stallion looked up at the machine with a concerned look. Now they had built the thing, Harry didn't know how to use it. All he has been doing was putting the damn thing together. All Twilight did was calculate the numbers and told Harry were what parts go. It should work though, no bolt should be out of place, no faulty wiring, no stupid gas leaks. He wasn't someone working at Scum Labs, he was smarter then them. He wouldn't make a mistake, but why did it feel like he was? Harry was snapped out of his state of mind from hearing Twilight calling his name.
"Harry! Are you in there?"
The white pony looked over to the alicorns with wide eyes. Twilight was giving him a confused look.
"I'm here my dear don't worry." he said giving a wide teeth showing smile.
The yellow stain on Harrys teeth nearly made Twilight gag. She looked at a blueprint she had in her magic, narrowing her eyes and trying to read it. The machine needed to be turned on from a switch on the side of the arch. She showed the print to Harry, he nodded with a smile and made his way toward the switch. Before he could flip the switch, Harry felt something come over him. A feeling of caution and utter fear. Something didn't feel right from this. Harry thought to himself.
'What is going to happen of I flip this switch? Is...is it going to be good? Are we going home now? Damn it Harry! Think straight!'
Harry released the switch and faced the confused alicorns in front of him. He let out a sign.
"I cant do it Miss Sparkle." he said with a low tone.
Twilights pupils grew to the size of dinner plates. Out of all the things that have happened through this project, that was the most hair pulling. Twilight had to gather herself before she spoke, she was on the verge of exploding.
"And why not?"
Harry looked back at the machine, glinting at the machine.
"I don't think we should do it...unless we have everyone here."
Twilight felt the wheels in her head stop in their tracks. She wasn't frustrated now, now it was just surprise. She thought about it for a minute before she put two and two together.
"Just in case its a way home right?"
Harry perked up with a wide grin and a more cheery tone.
"Correct my dear! We'll need to gather my friends, as with yours for this spectacle!"
The sound of that made Twilight give a wide grin of her own. The two ponies started to plan for the event, unannounced to them something was watching. A cloaked figure with a head piece. The figure pressed a button on the head piece, a quiet beep escaping it. The figure made his way for the slightly opened chamber door, sliding through the crack of the doors and making his way in the hallway. No pony noticed the doors creak. Once he figured he was free of sight, he pressed on his head gear. Another sound coming through, more like a radio sound this time.
"HQ this Shadow Crawler...we have a problem."
