2: Home Sweet Home?**

"Why me? It's not like I have any training with this stuff!"

Dr Monitor was calm. "You've seen what it's like in a stricter place, and survived, passed with flying colors even! If you were to at least somewhat imitate your instructor's methods, I'm sure you could easily help Scootaloo!"

Rainbow, on the other hand, was not calm. "What?! No I haven't! W-what are you talking about? What the hell are you..."

"Miss Dash, please try to remember who is here. And I am talking about your time at the Wonderbolt's Academy. Was it or was it not a strict place that required rules and boundaries to operate smoothly?"

Rainbow Dash took a deep breath and nodded sheepishly. "Yeah. The rules were set straight off and we were disciplined immediately if we broke one."

"And what, may I ask, was the penalty for such behavior?"

Dash turned a deep scarlet. "Well, I... uhh... corporal punishment..."

"...I see. Well, with the consent of Dust Bowl and Scarlett Swirl, you would not only be able to take Scootaloo into your care and into your house until she is... better, but you would also be able to execute this punishment on her if she fails to obey your orders and desires."

Scootaloo looked up and spoke, both things were done for the first time since Rainbow Dash walked in. "What the fuck are you talking about you crazy ass doctor?"

This language resulted in a death glare from three adults, but Rainbow was the one to explain. "He's saying that if your parents say yes you could come live with me, basically as a form of mental therapy, and I would be able to punish you if you keep behaving like you have been"

"Like I have been? The hell is that supposed ta mean ya insane alcoholic?"

Rainbow Dash took a deep breath. "Scootaloo, wanting a glass of cider when the season comes is not the same as being an alcoholic. And you're not from the ghetto so why are you talking like that? Anyways, yes, like you have been behaving. You've been completely reckless and irresponsible, and it's ended with you being grounded. Although, most people would argue that your deserve a lot more than that."

"Dash? No offense here but, i don't wanna live with someone whose idea if responsibility is feeding lettuce to a turtle"

"Tortoise. And sorry kid. but you don't really have a choice in this. Im willing to give it a shot, and doctor's orders. If your parents say yes, then say hello to Dashville for a few weeks."

"Dashville? What you're the mayor of a town now?"

"I prefer president, but close enough"

"Whatever." Scootaloo huffed, rolling her mauve eyes and crossing her arms.

"So!" Dr Monitor said suddenly, trying to make the situation less awkward (it didn't work). "Do Scarlett and Dust give their consent for Rainbow Dash to become Scootaloo's legal guardian temporarily?"

Dusty and Scarlett glanced at each other and shrugged.

"That would be of interest to me"

"If it'll make my little baby girl for better then you can bet I'm willing to give it a go!" Dust Bowl gave the doctor a (probably rehearsed) double thumbs-up and a smile.

"Alright. I'll go get the paperwork.!"

****After a lot of boring legal stuff Scootaloo insisted we didn't go into***

"Well, make yourself at home kiddo."

Scootaloo had arrived at the large 3 story mansion. Rainbow Dash lead her through the house, showing her rooms she could and could not go into.

"There's the kitchen, first floor bathroom, my room, rec room, den, and here's your room!" Rainbow Dash flung open the door to reveal a medium sized bedroom. A twin bed sat in one corner, and desk in another, and a dresser in a third. A few posters, mostly Daring Do and the Wonderbolts, (which were two separate posters and, to the dismay of Dash, not an actual title in A.K. Yearling's series) had been stuck on the walls. Scootaloo opened a door in the fourth corner to reveal a clothing rack, a few hangers, and lots of dust. A small closet, but it got the job done. Scootaloo's bedroom was pretty decent, there were even some paper and pencils in the desk drawers.

As Scootaloo began unpacking, Dash glanced at the clock above the twin bed. 5:15. filling out the last of the paperwork had taken longer then she thought. She would have to start dinner. "Okay, squirt. You unpack and get settled in. Feel free to explore, just don't go into a room if the door isn't open. I'll be in the kitchen making dinner if you need anything. Bathroom's down the hall for your toothbrush and stuff. Have fun." Dash left without another word and went to boil some water for noodles.

After Scootaloo unpacked, she sat on her bed, swinging her feet and looking around. She took a piece of paper and doodled for awhile, then got bored with that and decided to look around the house. A few doors down was a door marked "Do not open" in large red letters, but when Scootaloo reached for the handle, it wasn't locked. Very obviously going against Dash's words, she tiptoed into the room.

And was met with a shimmering sight. "This is Dash's trophy room?"

*******
Rainbow Dash shook some pepper onto the noodles and set it on low heat while she got Scootaloo. She started up the stairs.

And was met with a horrifying sound. The sound of a million metal objects clanking, and some glass breaking. She ran up to the source of the noise: her trophy room.

She threw open the door to find a single 11 year old. Surrounded by awards. Glass figurines were shattered. Trophies were dented. Medals were scratched. And Scootaloo was terrified.

Rainbow Dash silently swept the worst of the mess into the trash can. Then, without a word, took Scootaloo to her own room.

Sitting on the older girl's bed, Scootaloo felt small. For the second time she could remember, Dash was actually mad at her. She had heard something about corporal punishment. ....WAS THAT WHAT RAINBOW WAS GOING TO DO?!

Rainbow Dash didn't seem to be looking for an implement. She just sat down on the bed. But then, the rain of disappointment came.
"Scootaloo. I'm not mad. I'm glad that nothing hit you. But didn't I say to stay away from closed doors?"

"It wasn't locked. I just wanted to-"

"I said closed. It doesn't matter if it's locked. If it was closed, you shouldn't have opened it. Do you understand?"

Scootaloo hung her head. "Yeah...."

"Good" With that, Rainbow Dash grabbed Scootaloo by the arm and unceremoniously lay her facedown on her lap.

"R-rainbow? What are you doing?" Scootaloo stuttered, even though she knew it was coming.

SMACK! "Spanking you. I was told to discipline you the same way my instructor at the Acadamy disciplined us." SMACK! "And this was how Spitfire taught me a lesson more then once."

SMACK! "Ow! Dash! Please!

"Sorry kid." SMACK! You've gotten off Scott-free for too long. SMACK! SMACK SMACK SMACK!"

"Ouch! Please! I'm sorry!"

"Oh, you will be." SMACK!

The tears were really flowing now. Scootaloo resigned herself to her fate. But she didn't even try to keep from crying. "Ow! Dash! Whyyyyyy" SMACK. "Owi!"

Dash was silent for the rest of the spanking. SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK!

And it was over. Dash awkwardly cradled the sore girl in her lap. They sat like this for awhile. Let it out, baby. I know how it feels. Rainbow Dash let Scootaloo have her bitter tears.

Eventually Dash flung a strand of her multicolored hair out of her face and stood up, taking the eleven year old by the hand.

"Come on. Let's go get some dinner."
