Diamond In The Rough
Rough Enough
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"Okay, there he is. I'll go get him, just wait here. Alright?" Silver said, pointing out the once humiliated new kid Diamond led on.
Diamond's breath hitched when she saw him, but nodded anyways and watched as Silver walked down the hall and began an inaudible conversation with the boy. As Diamond watched, she couldn't help but think he looked kind of cute now. Of course her heart still belonged to Silver, but Diamond was allowed to think, right?
Diamond straightened up when she saw the two of them heading this way; his face was one of extreme caution and skepticism. This made Diamond feel like crying because he had every right to be skeptical. It felt as if the guilt was about to eat her up.
"...and that is pretty much it. Which leads us to now and what Diamond wanted to say to you." Diamond heard Silver say as they approached her. Diamond gave a timid smile and wave as Silver urged him forward; she audibly gulped as he stepped forward.
"Hi Tech Know, been a while, huh?" Diamond said, attempting to break the ice. When she saw he wasn't budging, she broke down and started begging for his forgiveness. Throwing herself into a tight hug with him.
"I'm so SO SORRY TECH!! I know what I did was unforgivable, but I really want your forgiveness and will do anything to get it! Please, I swear I have changed! I want us to start over. Let me prove I turned over a new leaf! Please..." She sobbed into his chest.
Tech was at a loss for words. He turned to look back at Silver with a "help me" look, but Silver just stood by and watched. After a few more moments of sobbing, Tech finally had enough and decided to make things right. He was done running from the past. He looked back once more to Silver.
"Could we have some privacy please?" He asked in a semi-deep voice with a slight Jersey lilt. Silver nodded and walked around the corner until she was out of sight.
Tech grabbed Diamond gently by the shoulders and pushed her away some so that she could look into his eyes. Her eyes were filled with hope, just what Tech was waiting for. He reared back with his right hand and connected firmly against her left cheek, sending her sprawling into the lockers. Terror filled Diamond's eyes as well as her heart. Tech Know wore the most wicked of grins. He grabbed Diamond by her hair and forced her down to the floor; she landed on her knees sharply, eliciting a cry of pain from her.
"You want my forgiveness?" He asked in a sharp voice. He pointed to his crotch, "Then start suckin'," He commanded.
Diamond stared wide-eyed, looking from his eyes to his crotch then back to his eyes again. She gulped once more.
"W-What?" She asked meekly as her tears flowed freely down her cheeks.
"You wanted my forgiveness, so here's your chance. I'm gonna fill your pretty little mouth full of my forgiveness. Then your ass. And then your pussy. By the time we're done the forgiveness will be practically leaking out of you!" He said with a dark chuckle.
Diamond couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was he being serious? Or was it some kind of sick joke? Remembering the smack he gave her earlier pretty much answered her own question. She hesitated for a moment and felt another, harder, smack on her other cheek. She hadn't even see it coming.
"Do it!! Accept my warm, filthy forgiveness into all of your slutty holes! That oughta teach you not to mess with other's emotions!"
Diamond was at a loss on what to do at this point except to comply with his command because she felt that one way or another, she was going to receive his "forgiveness".
The purple and white-haired girl began to lean forward, seeing the slight bulge in his pants as she got closer. It sickened Diamond somewhat that he got pleasure from making another suffer like this. Until she remembered that she hadn't been that much different.
Please save me Silver she thought as she raised her hands up to undo his button and zipper.
"What's going on here?" An angry voice asked.
Diamond's eyes shot open at the voice she'd just heard. She looked around behind Tech and saw Silver standing there with her arms crossed and cold-blooded rage engraved in her eyes. She pushed Tech to the side, slamming him into the lockers, and helped Diamond to her feet. Silver held her in a tight hug for a few moments before asking again what was going on. Diamond whispered what had just transpired to Silver all the while staring at the near-rapist with fear in her eyes. Whether it was for herself or for Tech she couldn't tell.
After telling Silver of what had just went down a minute ago she felt her lungs freeze and her pulse cease. Silver was visibly shaking and Diamond could tell it was pure rage that was coursing through her system. Silver shot her gaze towards Tech; fire in her eyes.
She walked up to him and socked him right in the jaw, knocking him to the ground and loosening a tooth... or two. He looked at Silver incredulously and wondered how she had such strength in her skinny arms.
"Listen here PAL!!" She spat at him with a hint of venom. "If you EVER come near my precious Gem again I will not hesitate to rip your dick off and shove it down your throat. YOU HEAR ME!? Now take what's left of your dignity and kindly FUCK OFF!!" Silver concluded, huffing violently.
Tech was off like a rocket in no time flat; stumbling and tripping as he desperately tried to escape Silver's wrath. After he was gone Silver heaved a sigh of relief and turned towards her girlfriend, who swiftly scooped her up in a hug.
"Silver!" Diamond cried. "Y-Y-You r-re-rescued m-me!" Diamond sobbed into her lover's chest and pulled her closer. "I thought he was going to do all those awful things he mentioned to me, but like an answered prayer you came! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!"
Silver grudgingly pulled away from the embrace and instead locked lips with Diamond, who moaned into her mouth and eyes fluttered closed. Diamond felt as if she was walking on clouds every time Silver kissed her. Her head swam and her heart pounded against her ribs as the adrenaline rushed through her as well as the love she had for Silver. They pulled away and looked deeply into one another's eyes. Silver shushed her sorrows and hugged Diamond's head to her chest.
"Of course I came," Silver whispered, "I told you I'll always be there when you need me. And don't worry about that guy's so called "forgiveness". Pricks like that don't deserve your apology. Just forget about him and focus on me, my voice, my breathing, my heartbeat. The one that beats for you."
Diamond did as she was bid and nestled in deeper, focusing on and listening to Silver's deep breaths and powerful heartbeat. Diamond found a certain serenity whenever she did this. Calm. No worries. Just her and Silver. Hakuna Matata indeed.
"Now what I need you to Diamond," she heard Silver say, "is wake up. Can you do that for me?" Puzzled, Diamond looked at her lover with a confused expression.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
"Wake up Diamond, please? You're having another nightmare."
"But Silver, I'm not even-"
Diamond awoke with a gasp and sat up in bed. She was stained with sweat and tears, but still felt incredibly cold. She fought to control her labored breathing and still her beating heart. She felt another presence sit up beside her and pull her into a delicate hug. Diamond closed her eyes and leaned into the warm embrace.
"Another nightmare, huh?" Silver asked. Diamond only nodded.
"Wanna talk about it, love?" Diamond shook her head.
"What did I do this time?" Silver asked with a dejected sigh.
Diamond looked at her with pure love in her eyes and smiled slightly as she recalled the dream.
"You saved me..." Diamond whispered. This got Silver's attention immediately.
"I wha...?"
Diamond proceeded to tell Silver all about the dream and what transpired. Silver sat their slack-jawed and dumbstruck at what she heard. She shook her head to clear her thoughts. She then squealed in delight and tackled Diamond to the bed; kissing her and caressing her.
"I SAVED you!! Do you know what this means?" Silver asked giddily. Diamond only shook her head.
"It means your sub-conscious has accepted that I truly have forgiven you. Even though I've stated it over and over again, you subconsciously refused to accept it. Hence the nightmare before. And I am sorry you had another one tonight, Gem." Silver said sympathetically and kissed her on the lips again as passionately as she could muster and lingered over her ear. "But now you have truly accepted my forgiveness. I love you so much Diamond!!"
Diamond was once again assaulted with those kisses she enjoyed so much. Quick pecks on the mouth that were somewhat sloppy, but were also love-filled and passionate. Diamond closed her eyes and allowed the onslaught to continue, hoping against hope it would never stop. Alas, all good things must come to an end.
Silver released her grip she had on Diamond's wrists that was keeping her hands pinned above her head and fell off to her side of the bed, still kissing Diamond all the while. She finished the kiss with one big push into Diamond's mouth then broke away. A string of saliva connected the two lover's lips as they lay there panting with goofy smiles on their faces; nose to nose as they gazed longingly into the other's eyes.
"Diamond," Silver began, "You are just so beautiful!" Diamond felt her heart skip a beat and pick up pace. "I mean, how is it possible for all that beauty to be packed into something as small as a human? You don't even use make up either." Silver snuggled in closer and pressed her lips to Diamond's.
Diamond could not control her heart even if she wanted to. It bounced around within her chest, eagerly awaiting for her to make a response to Silver's beautiful words. She swallowed hard and said, "Silver, you are honestly the sweetest girl to be alive! You have a heart of gold and you just... you make me so happy!" She whispered back through tears of joy. "Please! Please promise me you'll never leave me! I know I haven't been showing it much, but all this love and affection your giving me is really working! I never thought I could feel such happiness again! Please promise..." Diamond closed her eyes.
Silver smiled and pressed her lips into Diamond's again as deep as she could go. "I promise." She said, neither of them knowing that this permanently sealed their fates. Those simple words connecting their hearts for all eternity and make their love last until the end of days. Silver smiled again and kissed Diamond on the nose.
"Come on Gem, time for beddy-byes. We have school tomorrow and I KNOW it takes us both a while to get ready."
Diamond smiled and cuddled in closer to Silver; pressing their bodies together and molding them into one. "It won't take long if we work together." Silver took note of the seductive look Diamond gave her afterwards. She smirked and kissed Diamond one last time before settling in to fall back asleep.
At this moment, Diamond felt as if everything was going to be okay. She gave a cute little yawn and fell back into slumber as Silver rubbed her back.
Diamond and Silver waved goodbye to Mister Rich as he drove away from the school's entrance after dropping the ex-troubling twosome off at Canterlot High. Diamond took a deep, nervous breath and was about to start forward until she felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey Gem," Silver started, calling Diamond by the nickname that she has come to love. She pulled Diamond in for a hug. "I won't be around for the first class, so I hope the next 90 minutes won't be so agonizing to you as it will be for me. If you need anything, and I mean ANYTHING, just shoot me a text and I will be there in a heartbeat." Diamond nodded, unintentionally rubbing their cheeks together as she did so. "We will begin the apologies at lunch which should be plenty of time to track down the CMC's. Do you feel like you can do the others today too, or do you need a few more days?"
Diamond thought on that for a moment because she wasn't really sure herself. She gave a surprised gasp when Silver squeezed her even tighter into the hug; she could feel Silver's heart beating right against hers. She knew what her answer was.
"Yes. Let's make things right with the others too. I feel like I can do anything when I'm with you Silver. First class will be painful, but that just means I will have something to look forward after class." Diamond began to rub Silver's back. "I love you Silver," she whispered in Silver's ear.
Silver pulled away and kissed her with a fierce fire burning in her heart. They separated just as the bell to signify "five minutes before being tardy" rang. They looked at each other sadly and kissed once more, then they turned and continued on towards the entrance, pushing open the doors and making their way to class.
It was finally lunch time now, and Diamond Tiara was visibly shivering from the anticipation and anxiety. They walked through the halls until they noticed a familiar trio of women walk around the corner, chattering away about whatever it is they talk about. The Cutie Mark Crusader's, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle, froze in their tracks when they noticed the two ex-bullies.
Silver had a protective arm draped over Diamond's shoulders and held her injured hand in her right hand. Silver slowly broke away and asked for her to stay there as she ran up to the three girls. Diamond nodded and watched her go, folding her arms into her chest and waited; worry being the only thing she felt at this moment.
Diamond watched as Silver stopped them from walking away as she got their attention. She made some slightly exaggerated gestures with her arms. One she noticed in particular was when Silver displayed her left arm then pointed at Diamond, sending their gazes to her. She straightened up slightly and rubbed her left arm as she waved to them sheepishly, doing her best to look meek and non-threatening.
She watched as the three girls contemplated silently amongst one another, nodded to Silver, then came walking down the hall towards her. She felt her breath hitch as she realized this was the point of no return. No backing out. No running away. She stiffened up and smiled shyly as they stopped in front of her, Silver taking her place on her right side once more. Time to pour her heart out.
"Hey Girls," Diamond said, attempting to break the ice. All she got in response was a dull monotonic "Hey" from them. Diamond let out the breath that she hadn't known she was holding and locked her eyes on them. "I'm guessing Silver has filled you in on everything?"
Apple Bloom answered for the trio. "She said somethin' about how ya'll wanted t' make 'amends' with all those you've wronged."
Sweetie Belle cut in. "You'll forgive us if we have a hard time believing you."
That remark cut deep to Diamond, but she knew they had every right to question her motives. She looked up at them as tears began to sting her eyes. She noticed this threw all three of her former-enemies through a loop, seeing her in such a weak state.
"Please!" Diamond cried. "I swear to you with all my heart that I've changed. I want nothing more than all three of your girls' forgiveness." Diamond threw herself into Apple Bloom and hugged her tight, the tears streaming freely. "I know you are having a hard time believing me and my word on it isn't really worth much, but SILVER'S has to be worth something, right? Or, oh, I don't know... But please! Please give me a chance to prove my word is the truth!"
Diamond was now sobbing into Apple Blooms chest for all of them to see. As for Apple Bloom though, she was at a loss on how to respond to this. Never in her life has she seen her arch-enemy in such a state. This could all very well be a trick, but why would Diamond go through so much trouble for a prank? She decided to pry a little further.
"Silver said ya' also did somethin' to yer arm," Apple Bloom continued on in her southern drawl. "She didn' specifically say what, she just told us t' ask fer ourselves, but only if we asked softly and with care. So, what did ya'll do t' yer arm?" Apple Bloom asked, still frozen in place from Diamond's unexpected hug. She felt Diamond stop shivering for a split second, then an increase in pressure of the hug as Diamond snuggled into AB's chest.
"I-I..." Diamond tried to say. "I elected to show myself the pain I had caused others in the past and to let the monster feel how it felt to them. It didn't feel good, not in the slightest, but I still deserved it."
Silver saw all the shocked expressions on their faces and stepped forward, placing her hand on Diamond's shoulder. "She is in such a fragile state of mind. Part of me is always afraid Diamond will slip back into her old self while the other half worries what she will do to harm herself next. One thing I forgot to mention is that we are a couple now." This revelation didn't seem to surprise the girls that much. "And I am living at her house now, sleeping in her bed, all the while trying to repair her sensitive mind and heart with all the love I can muster." This revelation did shock the trio somewhat. "I know we have been cheatful, deceitful, and downright lying cunts in the past, but please give her the benefit of the doubt. I really want your forgiveness too, don't get me wrong, but she NEEDS it. Before she can forgive herself for what past Diamond did, she needs the forgiveness of those she has wronged. So please, help me fix her broken heart."
The girls stood in silence, the only sound being the sobs that came from the broken Diamond Tiara. Apple Bloom looked down at the pitiful sight in front of her and felt something pull on her heart strings. She slowly wrapped her arms around Diamond and crushed the pink girl to her.
"Ah' forgive you, Diamond. My sister is th' Element of Honesty accordin' t' some weird universe full of talkin' ponies, so it would only make sense fer me to hav' a nack for spottin' liars. And ah' don't think you're lyin'." Apple Bloom leaned in close to Diamond's ear and whispered loud enough for all to hear, "Ah' saw the bandages on yer arm. Ya' can't fake that." Apple Bloom nuzzled into Diamond's hair and squeezed her once more.
Silver clapped her hands together and felt her heartbeat increase, tears welling in her eyes as she watched the sight before her.
The five girls walked down the halls together on their way to Silver and Diamond's next destination. The CMC's walked right behind the former troublemakers, watching as Silver walked with Diamond in her "protective" embrace. The three girls had silently agreed that it was very heartwarming to say that least, but still had their doubts as to whether they were genuine with their word. Apple Bloom took longer strides to catch up with the other two women and walked beside Diamond, putting her in between herself and Silver.
"So where are we headin' t' nex'?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Were on our way to Ms. Cheerilee's room. It should be empty since it's lunch time, so we won't be disturbing class. We want you three to come with just in case you still have doubts as to whether we've really changed or not," Silver answered, pulling Diamond closer and giving her a quick peck on the cheek. The little action made Apple Bloom smile.
"I do want to believe you, but you can't blame us if we don't. While your past actions may not have been THIS extreme, you have still lied to us more than we can count," Sweetie Belle added. Diamond gave a quick glance back over her shoulder and looked ahead again.
"I-I... I know Sweetie Belle, and I'm sorry. But after everything that has happened and all the change I've went through, I never want to lie again. This one trick I pulled on this guy who didn't deserve it was all a big lie, and it completely ruined him." Diamond began to cry again. "I thought it was funny seeing that look of total heartbreak on his face, but all I want to do now is punish and make myself feel the same pain he felt. Silver always comes through with such sweet words and remind me that I can't fix the past, I can only mend the present so it will be repaired in the future. She has such a way with words..."
Apple Bloom hugged closer to Diamond, making her jump from the unexpected contact. She relaxed after sometime and allowed Apple Bloom to fully embrace her.
They came upon Miss Cheerilee's room sooner than anticipated. They all hesitated for a moment before Diamond gulped audibly as Silver reached for the doorknob. She twisted the handle and pushed the door inwards and stepped inside, followed directly by the rest of the women.
There was Miss Cheerilee, at her desk, hunched over performing some menial task; most likely grading papers. She stopped however and looked up and to her left when she heard company enter her door. Her face scrunched and her heart sank when she saw the sight before her. While Diamond was always a problem child to her in the past, her heart always drooped whenever she saw an upset child or a student in distress. Miss Cheerilee was on her feet and in front of the girls faster than one could say 'teacher'.
Miss Cheerilee put her hands on Diamond's cheeks and noticed the tears stained on her face. She looked at the three girls accompanying Silver and Diamond and furrowed her brow.
"What is going on here? What happened?" She asked sternly.
"Miss Cheerilee..." Silver quickly butt in, "It isn't what you think. We came here because Diamond has something very important she needs to tell you." Silver let Diamond go and urged her forward. Diamond looked back at her, unsure. Silver only coaxed her on more and gave a reassuring smile. Diamond did her best to return the gesture before turning back to look at the patient but flustered look of her teacher. Diamond gulped once more.
"M-M-Miss Ch-Cheerilee," Diamond began shakily. Miss Cheerilee gave a warm smile that filled her with some much needed confidence.
Diamond burst out in tears again and crushed herself against Cheerilee, knocking the wind out of her. "I know I have been a pain in the past and that I am probably your least favorite student in the school and that you just want me to graduate already so you won't have to deal with me anymore! But I can't leave until I let you know that I'm sorry!!" Diamond snuggled in closer to Cheerilee. "I'm sorry for all the mean things I did to you in the past, like putting salt in your morning coffee, and for being such a problem to you! Being a teacher is already a stressful enough job as it is and you don't need students like me making it worse for you! I don't want to leave here with a sour taste in your mouth about me! I need to tell you that you are the most wonderful, smart, patient, and extremely kind-hearted teacher in existence! I'm glad to have gotten to know you and pray with all my heart that you will forgive me!" Without even thinking, Diamond angled her head and gave Cheerilee a kiss on her cheek, startling everyone in the room. "I'm sorry..." She concluded.
Miss Cheerilee, tears now stinging her own eyes, looked from the apologizing bully to the rest of the girls in the room. Her heart was out of control; hammering against her rib cage almost like it wanted to jump out and comfort Diamond itself. Cheerilee wrapped her arms around Diamond's torso and pulled the crying girl in close to herself, nuzzling her cheek against the top of Diamond's head as her tears of joy flowed down and dropped into Diamond's hair.
She closed her eyes and whispered, "I forgive you... and thank you." She gave a little kiss to the top of Diamond's head and squeezed her tighter. Never in all her years of teaching has any of her students made a change of heart like this. Miss Cheerilee sighed and reveled in the fact that she had finally made a breakthrough.
