Socially Awkward

3 Years Later

Ok so this cable will go here and this cable will go here maybe *flash* a spark made a small explosion causing me to jump back in surprise "ok that didn't work" i said slowly walking back to the screen, oh come on something has got to work, maybe there's a broken piece somewhere *Knocking sound*. Oh come on i don't have time for socialising , i really don't wanna see people today, *knock* can't they take the hint get lost, i opened the door to see Derpy smiling at me "Hey moonlight, i haven't seen you in days, what you been up to" she said as she walked into my house, I don't want to be rude so i just went along with it i might aswell ask her what shes doing here though "so Derpy, what brings you here".

Derpy looked around the room before answering "well i haven't seen you in a while so i thought i would come and check up on you, oh and i like your new style" wow have i been in my house for this long also i don't think my style has changed that much. Derpy does confuse me sometimes "what do you mean by new style" i asked, maybe she just hasn't seen me in so long that she forgot what i look like "oh same old Moonlight, trying to confuse me as always, i was talking about your cool shirt" oh right she's talking about my black clothes. To be honest they arn't that great but i might aswell accept the compliment "oh ye thx, i quite like it too" i smiled which made Derpy smile even more.

I don't really no what to say, i don't want to make things awkward, oh great Derpy's looking confused, say something  "uh Derpy would you like a drink" i offered, Derpy continuted to smile "that would be great but i have a better idea, why don't we go outside and go get some muffins, i love muffins " oh i don't no, i hate going outside, its just full of ponies who will just judge me as soon as they look at me, Derpy was looking confused again "uh i don't no Derpy" her smile turned in a frown, oh no i can't bare to see her like that "Derpy wait, ok i'll go but only for a little bit Derpy jumped for joy "yay, why we still here then, lets go get muffins yay" she jumped to the door and i slowly walked behind her.

Once i had locked my house door we were off to a cafe, so far no one has come up to us, it looks like i won't have to talk to anyone except for Derpy but it is taking longer to get there than i thought " Derpy how long till we actually get there " still smiling Derpy replied "oh its just at sugarcube corner" oh i rememer going there as a filly. As we just had sugarcube corner in our sights a Pinkie Pie came bouncing over to us "HEY DERPY, HEY MOONLIGHT" both Derpy and Pinkie got really excited and i just stayed out of the conversation, "what you guys up to " Pinkie asked, i let Derpy answer "we're going to sugarcube corner to get some muffins". Pinkie pie gasped "oh my goodness thats so weird, i was going to sugarcube corner too" Pinkie looked at me for a reply but i just awkwardly smiled slightly.

I think i made Pinkie feel awkward because she pretended to laugh "ha ha uh right, i gotta go see you later Derpy, i hope to speak to you soon moonlight" Pinkie pie walked away leaving me to think, why moonlight you have just made her feel so awkward you shouldn't be in society. Derpy was staring at me "come on moonlight sugarcube corner is right there lets race" Derpy started to fly and i didn't wanna make things more awkward so i just went along with it but i let Derpy win. "ha ha i win" Derpy cheered with delight, i just smiled  "welldone Derpy, now lets go get some food cause i'm starving" Derpy cheered again and ran inside with me behind her, i love how excited she gets over muffins.

Derpy went straight to the counter and looked at the muffins "oh i don't no what muffin to go for, what do you think moonlight" i just simply replied "i don't no Derpy, just go with what you feel like" Derpy continuted to look for about 10 minutes. Derpy eventually went for a blueberry muffin and i just went for a chocolate cupcake, Derpy paid and then we both went out side to find a bench to sit on which wasn't hard to find because there was one right outside.

Once Derpy finished her muffin there was a streak of rainbow going through the air, oh god no not her, i tried to hide but of course Derpy started to yell "hey moonlight look its rainbow dash,HEY RAINBOW DASH" rainbow stopped flying and flew down to me and Derpy. "oh hey Derpy, h- oh my gosh moonlight, haven't seen you in a while where you been hiding" i didn't say anything and just hid under the table, Rainbow looked under the table and asked "whats up moonlight, your not still bumbed out about your cutiemark are you". Oh great i wasn't even thinking about that, i was starting to enjoy myself and now Rainbow has to remind me of why i shut myself away "i just don't want to talk that much today".

Rainbow huffed "Moonlight i can read you like a daring do book, you have to cut it out with the self esteem issues" she doesn't get it, it's not that easy to just cut it out "but Rainbow you don't understand what it is like to not have a cutie mark at 19" i was about to say something else when princess Twilight ran over to us and appolised "sorry everypony, you just go back to what you were doing" she then looked over to Rainbow and demanded in a worried tone "Rainbow you have to come with me". Rainbow excused herself "sorry cuz gotta go, i'll talk to ya later" and then Rainbow and Twilight flew off, why can't she take this seriously for once except for just flying off because it's "too sappy", this is why i don't like her.
