Chapter 1: My Stupidity Shall Go Down In History
It was a long flight travailing all the way across America to this Game-Con. I won't go into the detail of the boredom. I had saw on the news that the a few dozen people had mysteriously disappeared at the last few cons that went on. But as ignorant as I was, I went over to that con within the next flight. When I did arrive at the hotel, I walked into the lobby with all of bags and got my key card to my room. As soon as I was in my room alone with my stuff, I let out the most unmanly, girlish squealing that the world could hear. Thankfully the room was soundproof enough to block my pure vocal happiness. I had held up all of my excitement for the past 12 hours and I could barely hold it in any longer.

After my long happy fan girl moment, I flung myself onto the freshly clean made bed, hugging it to death and giving out a long held in sigh. A few moments of relaxation latter on the overly soft bed, I sprung up to my feet and made my way into the bathroom. I stripped myself of my clothes and took a nice long needed shower. After I did that, quickly dried myself off and eagerly unpacked my luggage. I had spent a lot of money into the things that sat in these bags. I had a fully decked out, home made IMC Pilot Suit From Titanfall.
I had my own costume designed R-101C Carbine with gray camo with the AOG scope and has a Extended Magazine. I also had a Hammond P2011 and my anti titan weapon was the Charge Rifle. I also had the Data Knife. Just as I open the door to head out, I see the Merchant from Resident Evil 4. I was nearly 6 foot 5 inches and he didn't seem surprised to see me in my realistic badass looking costume.
"Um... May I help you? Do you need directions for the Game-Con that is going on?" I ask the man, he seems to evilly smile at my words underneath his mask.
"Yes... I do need some help Mike..." he said in a hiss that made me question if he was the real deal of had really planned on doing the Merchant act. I also noticed that he new my name...
"With what?" I asked, not liking where this was going.
"I need to get to the convention to sell my... Merchandise." he said, showing off some stuff from Resident Evil 4 and other games. This guy was really doing good on his acting. Too good. But despite him knowing my name, I kept talking to him. I told him the address to the con and did something so stupid that it should go down in the history books of stupidity. I offered him a ride in my car to the convention. And he accepted my offer. We didn't talk at all until we got to the convention. Before I could get out of the driver's seat, he grabbed my arm and looked me in my eyes, saying.
"Thank you Mike. Now before you go, I'm going to offer you a chance of a life time." he said, loosening his grip on my arm as I sat down.
"What is it that you have to offer?" I asked without a care of what he had. He then pulled out a gun like shape out of his cloak and handed me the Smart Pistol MK5 from Titanfall. Except this looked like it was a real loaded gun.
"This is a real Smart Pistol MK5 with Enhanced Targeting and a Extended Magazine.
"This is a gift from me, but here's the real deal." he then pulled out a chain that had a pair of Titanfall Dog Tags and a computer chip that had the Tenth Generation Pilot symbol on it .
"These are one of a kind of dog tags that were owned by a Tenth Generation IMC Pilot." he said, pulling the dog tags away from my view.
"All of this cost 50 dollars." he said. I decided to take the bait and I grabbed the dog tags.
"Deal." I said, giving him over the amount of money. For some reason, I felt as if the destiny of my life rested and revolved around in those dog tags. After the trade I began to feel dizzy as I suddenly lost consciousness, but still satisfied even though I knew that I had made the dumbest mistake in my life. As soon as I blacked out, I woke up as if I had a nightmare. My eyes were blinded for a few seconds until they finally adjusted to the lights. My eyes widen when I saw that I was in a mech from Titanfall. But what scared me was that I was falling from an atmosphere of a lush green and blue planet. I began to panic as I descended towards the ground at a alarming rate. I screamed like a girl my sister always told me I was. I then decided to prepare myself for impact.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH- wait.... What?" I said to myself, astonished that I survived the fall. I didn't feel any pain from my fall in the titan, but a bit of a uncomfortable, like when you suddenly stop the car while going only 5 MPH.
Anyway, I as soon as I got out of my set, the cockpit's screen turned black and opened up. I quickly jumped out of the titan and landed with a thud, surprisingly not hurt. I then noticed that I had the HUD screen that was from pilots in the Titanfall. My eyes widen as I looked over myself and nearly fainted. I took a few deep breaths and began to figure out what happened and what I had on me.
After examining myself and everything else, I found a lot of cool stuff. First off, I had full vision on my Mini Map on at all times, so It will tell where everything is that is around me at all times. I had Echo Vision; allowing me to see enemies through and passed walls. I also had Cloaking; turning me invisible and most being unable to see me at all. But that's not all, I had Stim; improving my speed of movement tenfold. All three tactical abilities had unlimited amount of time using them and never had to recharge which made me more amazed. All of my weapons were real and loaded with real bullet and shit. Almost shot myself in the foot... Anyway, I also noticed that when I took out a mag to reload my Carbine, another one appear in it's place. I instantly concluded that I must have unlimited ammo or something like that. But this is where things get really cool.
I had a lot of Amped Weapon Burn Cards. I had five of each weapon available and that added up to be 85 in total of just the Amped Pilot Weapon Burn Cards. I also had 5 Atlas Refurb, 5 Reserve Ogres, and 5 Spare Stryder Burn Cards. But I had a group of ten unknown cards that I had never seen in the game. These cards were all the same, but each one had a picture of a group of 12 Spectres armed with the default R-101C Carbine and a RE-45 Autopistol for their sidearm and a Archer Heavy Rocket for their Anti Titan Weapon.
Anyway the card said that it could give me back up of fully armed twelve Spectres for each card. Damn, sweet cards in my opinion. Anyway I was in a real IMC Rifleman Pilot suit. Which is totally awesome. I (somehow) had 10,000 credits in a small zipped up pouch... Fuck logic. I also had the Dog Tags and computer chip from the Merchant. I then had an Idea for what it could be for. I took off my helmet and looked at the back of it to find a little metal slide door. I opened the smell door and found a perfect slot to where the chip would fit in. I put the helmet back on and carefully put the chip in it's slot.
My mind went blank for few moments until my mind was suddenly filled up with knowledge and memories not of my own. I fell to my knees as I could feel rage that could make gods quake in fear. I felt sadness of only the damned could feel as I felt the pains and horror of fighting in living hell. I could hear the voices of the dead calling a name, no, my name... They were calling my name for help as they died horrible and brutal deaths. I looked up at the dark sky as I gave a roar of true pain mixed with a demanding bloodshed filled roar.
After all of the air was shouted out of my lungs, I quickly was trying to get some oxygen back in. It took a few minutes to fully gain control of myself, but when I did, I got to my feet and looked at my surroundings. I was no longer myself. My opinion of war, death, and bloodshed was now gone and filled with brutal truth with the memories of a soldier... No, he was a professional in surviving anything that threw it's way at him... No, I could surviving anything that threw it's way at and his, no! My kill count was too long to remember.
My mind changed as soon as I put that chip in my brain. I was no longer the funny and careless man named Mike. I still had mike's memories, but my mind told me that I was Victor D. Johnson. I was a respected, feared, and deadly Tenth Generation IMC pilot. By body felt as if it had physically changed, which made me believe more that I was Victor and not this... Mike. But I still had his memories that made me feel weird. I began looking around the forest that I was in. It wasn't too thick for my titan to walk through, maybe a few threes would be turned over but nothing the titan could take. Though it looked very cartoonish and... Peaceful. So peaceful that it is as if war or death had never touched in this place. That alone put me on edge and as I slowly walked over to my titan, jumping into it and began checking the titan's status.
It was armed with the 40mm Cannon with a extended magazine. The titan itself was in perfect condition and took no damage from impact. The tactical ability it had was longer lasting Electric Smoke and the Titan's ordnance was a with more ammunition capacity rocket salvo. I then found out that this titan had SID OS voice and the Insignia was the Bonehead type. But the really cool thing I found out that titan had not just two kits, but four! Which is really lucky. The kit's it had was Regen Booster, Fast Autoloader, Dash Quickcharger, and Big Punch. This titan was over powered then what IMC would allow on a lone titan. This must have belonged to a gun for hire that that had too much time and credits on his or hers hands.
"It's better off with me then some rookie pilot." I said to myself as I began to travel through the woods in my new Atlas Class Titan. As I walked through the brush of plants and around trees, I began to detect a trail of pitch black smoke that had was giving off gases that are from fossils fuel being burned or known as coal. I began quickly making my way around threes or knocking a few over as I headed to the moving signature that could lead me to civilization. I soon was was at the edge of woods and saw train tracks going through a field of tall lush green grass. I then saw a red and golden colored painted train that had a dozen carts full of mythological creatures known as Griffins is I could recall. What the fuck am I seeing?
I decided to put my questioning of my sanity for later and jogged closer to the moving train and zoomed in on the train to get more detail. I saw that they where small and some of them bringing out cameras that by design and style had to have used really old film to take a picture. As I got closer, about a few dozen feet away from the train, they began taking pictures of my titan. I wasn't in it for the pictures, but to scan the train and see how advanced in technology they were.
Based on the train's designing and in technology put in it, the fashion and mistrials in their clothes, and the objects aboard the train lead me to a few conclusions. But based on all the evidence, I would believe that these Griffins were somewhere in the eighteenth hundreds or maybe nearing the nineteenth hundreds compared to our timeline. I began to slow down my pace as soon as I got all of the information I needed and let the train go ahead. I decided to follow the train tracks and see where it will lead.
After walking for a few hours, the sky was darkening and needed some sleep. I was in the middle of miles on end of fields and forest. I decided to power down the titan and get some needed sleep near the tracks. As soon as I was done scanning the area for hostels, I set up a alarm system just in case anything got too close for comfort. I began powering down most of the titan and turned the lights off and began trying to get some sleep. Hopefully, this was all just a weird and strange dream.
