Sorry this is short but the next one will be longer and a little funny and intense and well you will enjoy it.

defeated by trickery

chapter I
After a long fought battle lord Tirek and Twilight stop to catch their breaths. Looking she can see the visible scars from their battle etched into the ground in the background mountains that once stood majestic now ruined not a short distance away ponyville while not as a whole damaged by the battle you can easily see where it began with the smoking crater and chard stump of your former library home. She is saddened by the loss of her home. when suddenly Tirek speaks up.

“It appears we are at an impasse. How about a trade, Princess Twilight? Their release for all the alicorn magic in Equestria.” lord tirek says between deep breaths, malice clear in his voice.

Twilight Sparkle gasps as six bubbles appear.

inside she hears her friends muffled shouts.

“What's it going to be, Princess?” he says smirking.

Rainbow Dash shouts “Don't do it, Twilight! Don't give him a bucking thing!”

Fluttershy yells” We aren't worth it! go get away from him!”

Discord pleas “Oh, but you are, Fluttershy. You're the pony that taught me that friendship is magic. I had magic and friendship, and now I don't have either.“

“Enough! I want an answer, and I want it now!” a now pissed Tirek shouts.

Twilight stands there her intellectual mind is trying and failing to find a way to beat him without hurting her friends. She knows their is no other way.
after a long pause she sighs.

“I will give you my magic, in exchange for my friends.” she says in a defeated tone.the look of failure and sadness clear on her face.

“As you wish.” Tirek says with a victorious grin. snapping his fingers.

at once all but one of the bubbles pop releasing the others. All but Discords who whimpers in fear not knowing what is going to happen to him.

“All of my friends.”Twilight growls,her anger building.

“After the way he has betrayed you, you still call him a 'friend'? “ lord Tirek says with a mock look of confusion.

“Release him!” she shouts, her anger showing clear as day.
“If that's what you want.” Tirek shrugs with board look.
at once discords bubble is gone.the powerless draconequus fall to the ground with an audible thud.

Discord says “Thank you, Twilight."he turns and looks at fluttershy "I'm sorry fluttershy I did something very dumb ” regret thick in his voice

“I know. I forgive you” fluttershy says

Tirek grins “Now, Princess, it's your turn.”
at once the magic is ripped from her body leaving her on the ground screaming and writhing in pain. All her friends can do is look in horror as she is left shaken and in pain.

with a mighty roar Tirek shouts “Yes!” his face a look of pure triumph as he absorbs the last bit of combined alicorn magic twilight held within herself.

Spike looks at twilight with a mixture of of relief and anger saying “Twilight, what were you thinking?!” he is clearly worried about her.
but before she can reply discord speaks up obviously trying to make up for his betrayal. sorrow and pain are obvious on him.

“Tirek tricked me into believing that he could offer me something more valuable than friendship. But there is nothing worth more. I see that now. He lied when he said that this medallion was given as a sign of gratitude and loyalty. But when I say that it is a sign of our true friendship, I am telling the truth.” discord admits giving twilight the necklace.

applejack starts with a look of surprise “You think-”
when she was interrupted by tirek.

“enough! Given how annoyingly persistent you six have been. I'm sending you somewhere you will never bother me again!"

Twilight shouts fear etched on her face “what! What do you mean?”

“I'm sending you somewhere far worse worse than tartarus. now BEGONE!" he shout as a portal black as night opens up and he throws them in screaming into the void.

in another part of the galaxy. a young man is in for one hell of a weird day.
