As they made their way in the truck twilight decided to ask "what kind of places are there around there?"

"Well there are at least ten safe cities ah know about they are guarded by the new government. They are megaton,rivet city,Dave town, big town,lamplight city, grayditch, vault city,Lincoln city, underworld, and tenpenny tower." He said never taking his eyes from the area.

"New government?" Fluttershy ask.

"Ya they started it up 'bout three years ago it's lead by the council which is made up of a representative of the main factions of the capital wasteland to make laws and plan anything out. Elder Lyons leads the military the part I work with." He said though at that last part sounded like he doesn't enjoy it.

Picking up on his mood applejack ask."Ya don' like it?"

With a sight he said" they are good people and their heart's are in the right place, but they are so bogged down by regulations that by the time they get though it all the situation is worse."

"Oh but why do they have so many rules fer."she ask.

"Well Lyons is a stickler for order and paperwork now a days and he doesn't see it as a problem but his soldiers do. They are supposed to be fast response soldiers,but it's hard to do that if you are stuck for a week filing paperwork to deploy." He says with a dry laugh.

"Oh. ok I guess that could cause a problem." Twilight mumbled.

Her ears were splayed back at the thought of others in danger and the only ones who could do anything about it were stuck by rules and regulations, which were priority in her mind.

"Hey does anyone want ta listen ta some music?"Leroy said after seeing twilight's reaction to what he said.

"Well there are only two radio stations here Threedog's station at the ole GNR buildin he always findin something to keep folks happy,and Agatha's station she is always producing new recordins of 'er violin playin. Its good n peaceful music. Its yer choice ta which ah'll play on ma pipboy."

"I like em both tho' threedog has a broader list o music." He said offhandedly "even though most of it is prewar music Its still good."

Leroy stops the truck and reaches over to worker the device on his arm.at his movements twilight asks" what is that on your arm?"

"Oh I didn't explain this it a pipboy it basically a wrist mounted supercomputer. Comes in handy at times."he said still fidgeting with the dials.

"What all does it do?"Rainbow ask with a stumped look.

"Well it allows me to remember all that I have on my person at all times."he said showing them the items menu before continuing" It also scans me to make sure I'm not suffering from radiation or addiction to anything. it will also alert me if I have sustained internal injuries such as broken bones or ruptured organs."he showed them the screen "It also doubles as a info storage device and mobile radio too." He said finally getting to the radio.as he switched on GNR station the unmistakable voice comes on. "-And that children is why the lone wanderer is not to be fucked with after what he did to the raiders at evergreen mills the mills has become a popular fight pit for people to enjoy. But enough about that you all want the real story. as I speak that crazy kid from vault 101 is on his way to deal with a pesky raider problem Dave town has. How will he solve it? diplomatically or a nice case of shotgun diplomacy? At the end Leroy looked over at them to find that they had been entranced by the song, and so to snap them out of it he snapped his fingers to get their attention at the the third snap they all started to shake their heads.they are doing that just like dogmeat would have.he thought with a frown.

Twilight noticed his sad expression a said."are you ok, Leroy? you look upset about something."

"Oh? Uh sorry ah just remembered a old pal o mine who aint around no more." He said with a sigh.

"Oh s-sorry if we upset you." fluttershy said." if you don't mind, what happen to him?"

"The pals name was dogmeat he was a german shepherd ah found some years back before ah got famous. He was killed takin project purity back from the enclave. Killed by Autumn on if their best officers. When it happened ah snapped ah later found out had ripped out Autumn's throat out in anger said ah still had part of it in ma hand when they pulled me out of the activation room."

"Wow ya were that angry? " Applejack said with a shocked tone.

"Ya I was younger at the time and had just lost my father to the bastard so he had it coming."he

It was quiet for a few min until he stopped the the truck

turned and looked at them saying."we are almost there so listen closely ah'm goin in. ah want yall ta stay in this truck. it's armored and locks from the inside unless ah knock."he said as he shows them it."don't open the door. Ok?"

Each of them says that they understand. With their confirmation he gets hot of the truck and grabs a duffle bag full of equipment he will use. With bag in tow he sets off for old Olney.
